Win here at this race but that was just a precursor of what we saw all season long it certainly was and nobody anticipated that Ronnie silk would be in every lap of every race last season to secure and win the title he did exactly that now for those of you watching at
Home on Flow and looking at this Grand facility it was Matt hman who described it best he said no it is not like Thompson Speedway it is not like Richmond Speedway it’s not like any other racetrack it’s its own unique breed you look down at turn number four
And it’s almost a square Corner jum you come out of the turn you’re in the groove then the car washes up just a bit that is a crucial part of this racetrack bizarre things can happen there some say there’s even a blind spot there some will tell you that that end of the
Racetrack is one of the best passing opportunities in modified racing that they will race on all season long the way you can dive off into turn number three it tends to be an action spot throughout the night and that’s going to be a spot that we’re going to keep an
Eye on and certainly being able to maneuver off that turn four as a track closes in on you is going to be a key as a race go on it certainly is there’s no such thing as a slide job here by the way some RAC tracks have a Groove and a
Pattern that is set up for that here you sink it in at a ton get back on the throttle and power your way off the turns there’s a look at the man in the front row car number 46 Craig Lutz and one year ago just after this event the

It as the race goes on very very strong and we expect big things out of him the black 14 with gold numerals right in front of him is Matt Herman big money Matt the guy that wins everything won this race two years ago he’s a multi-time track Champion here at new
Subna and he’s going to be a guy that everybody has their eye on as we get into the long run you know we talked about that too Matt told me he says this is an 8-year-old race car a lot of people don’t understand I have one of the best record books you’ll find
Anywhere and that’s what we’re looking at there’s the back end of the Ryan priest machine Flamingo Motorsports for those of you that are Die Hard modified fans you might remember when he drove for that team out of Palmer Massachusetts sis was the man that turned the wrenches back then let’s take

The Night comes out 20 laps in to the new subna visitors bureau 200 here in New samna Speedway in Florida now we talked about the tire situ sitation this is a three Pit Stop race for these teams and this is an interesting point in the race and here’s why you’ve got three
Stops one will be for fuel and the other two will be for tires you’ve got six change tires so on a modified you run the left front the entire way change the other three tires in the car but here’s what’s tricky you can go 175 laps 90 m
Is the rough calculation on that on a tank of fuel we’re just shy of that but it does present the opportunity for for these teams to come down get their fuel that they need to go to this it sure does and remember pit strategy is key this isn’t a situation where it’s monkey
SE monkey do everybody has a game plan for their specific combination and how that is all working and that’s what we’re seeing now you could see literally there is the car that’s setting up front and it has been there through each and every one of these circuits that of

The bottom of the top six Pit Road is now open and these extra laps while they cleared Eddie McCarthy’s car off of the pit Lane gave teams an opportunity the race leader will stay out but Ron silk the first car pitting out of the fourth position to come down Pit Road and it
Looks like he might be one of the few Tommy Baldwin will bring down Doug Kobe for stop along with Tyler Ripa they will all come down Pit Road they’re all pitted down in the turn one end of pit Lane Phil Moran put this car together another brand new race car like Justin
Bonsor and here is the fuel stop trying to get this early pit stop out of the way but I think one of the things these teams are going to run up against is now because they are some of the only cars that come down Pit Road they’re going to
Be at the back of the field now that may pay off l that’s true but with a 34 car starting lineup it can get pretty dicey back there certainly does you can see the number seven New York they put a a splash of gas in the car and sent it
Right back out this is the strategy that we were talking about also down in Pit Road there is the number four car Tim cotley an outstanding athlete and football player in his own right if you look closely those of you watching on Flow at the right rear quarter of that
Number four car it says Mystic Marine that of course Bob garino legendary car owner had such drivers as bugy Stevens uh Robbie Summers Jerry Marquee along with Bobby Santos and the list goes on and on well you know they called it the Mystic missile it’s the car that
Everybody’s looking for purchased it is it was setting at the marina in the garage and Bob Garbarino said I’m not just going to let anybody have it well this is a different car but that was the incentive that got Tim Conley back to racing here again so after this round of
Pit stops let’s take a look cuz the running order has changed just a bit we’ve completed 25 laps of the 200 here tonight Craig Lutz continues to be the race leader he’s LED from the pole here tonight Justin bonson new are Ryan priest Austin beers and Matt hman that’s
Your top five and then Ryan Newman right there in six and then we go back to the seventh spot Patrick gelling Dro back a couple spots Jake Johnson showing consistently in the bowler three in the eighth position that it’s Tommy Catalano in the ninth spot and then Spencer Davis
To roundout out the top 10 field will get the one to go signal as they roll back towards turn one we’ll have to keep an eye deeper in the pack to see how Ronnie silk handles this situation this is not something we see all that often on the wheel of modifi
Tour where you get teams that are slightly out of cycle on Pitch strategy now the advantage of what they did is they’ve got their fuel stop taken care of it’s out of the way when they come down Pit Road next time they will cycle back around and get that track position
But the risk is now that they are in the back of a pack of cars and Ron Silk’s going to line up on the inside Lane back in the 19th position with Doug Kobe right there on the outside and that’s just a hornet’s nest of activity it certainly is now we’re looking at
Another form of strategy here the ability to start on the restart inside or outside momentum is the story Luts pulls back into the number one spot and all of a sudden Here Comes Austin beers side by side battled for the third spot preached now to the inside beers is up
In the wheel in the outside two by two they follow him back through meanwhile bonsor takes that Peak out of line we’ve got one out of shape it was Ryan priest with car 40 priest got out of shape Midway through turns three and four then he finished it off with contact to
Austin beer did a nice job at keeping that car pointed in the right direction but he’s got a handful meanwhile up front here is Justin bson newor Maneuvers his car to the inside trying to take over the race lead from Craig Lutz but Lutz Towers up the outside Lane
Of the racetrack and keeps the wheel out in front he perfectly guards his Lane comes off the turn back in command now look a little further back side by side action the guy who suffered the most since that last restart visually appears to be Ryan priest priest is stuck on the
Bottom now Matt hman making his move in the upper Groove with car 60 hman started further back than most of the experts thought he would like however it’s not showing any of that right now back up front top three still remain the same Lutz the leader bonor and Austin
Beer running 1 two three fre has finally been able to get single file but the dose of that car just not stuck in the RAC track it’s jittering up the racetrack this time he’ll dive to the inside of Matt hman draws even through turn three and four the car much more
Stable that time through across the line they come two drivers that everybody was looking at to be in contention tonight and free is able to complete the Passover in while that has been happening Patrick emling is setting in literally the tire tracks of the number 60 of hman emerin is still right there

Austin beers last year as he started his quest for the rookie title right here and went on to Wi win Richmond well Jake Johnson that team they had a variety of different drivers that drove that three car over the past couple of seasons and now they’ll be full-time for the first
Time since the 2020 campaign and Johnson said you know what I was the one that advocated for this because first of all I know what this three car is capable of I know what I’m capable of but when we’re changing the seat for a different driver every week we can’t develop that
Chemistry and consistency and in the runs that he has had he’s only had a handful of starts he has had tremendous statistics and tremendous results pole positions but still looking for that win nobody would be surprised to see Jake Johnson a victory I agree with you now
Look at priest he tried to put two wheels down underneath the yellow line to make the move around Jake Johnson Johnson doesn’t give up to the pressures priest is all over his back bumper slips up back to the racetrack as they run nose to tail Here Comes priest now
Trying to make some presence known to the bottom of the racetrack Jake Johnson slams the door directly in front of them it is the number 14 machine for Ryan Newman setting in the top four Newman still not giving up is this battle priest has got a good car watch him go into the
Turn the three car but as he comes off the turn it appears that Jake Johnson had just enough extra to maintain that position PR’s car is a little bit tighter I think than the other cars in the racetrack and you can see that front blow of those
Brake rotors he’s got all that brake bias to the front to get that back end to snap around and watch him as he comes off the corner he dips that left front tire below the yellow line that allows him to snap the car sideways and get it
To launch off the turn he’s trying to make up for a car that’s ill handling you see it as he kisses that left front tire get that and even though what you’re watching at home or you’re watching in the grand stand here you might think that that is the same level
Of Asa it is not that’s the reason that he can get one wheel down there and he can get that car to turn and you’re looking at that we’ve got trouble on the front straightaway Jr berio is slid across the front stretch wall about 300
Ft shy of the start Finish Line here at new samna his car has come to a stop he tries to get it ref fired once again which he has and we’ll see if that car will roll he’s got a pretty good amount of damage it looks on the right front of
That number two modified you know this is a a young man that came here from Riverhead Raceway former Champion there in his own right over the years he’s competed and won a lot here in the tourai modifi division with car number two the gersa Recycling Group uh you can
See there is a right front that is down on the car and as Joe pointed out it looks like suspension damaged done there as well so now he calls his home in the sunny South but uh he loves competing in the modifi he also had tremendous success competing in the southern smart
Series a couple of Seasons back track crew and Safety Services crew out and checking out things on the number two car so let’s take a look at that strategy game we talked about not too long ago so a lot of risk for drivers like Ron silk and Doug Kobe to have
Their cars come down Pit Road Ron silk picked up a couple of spots he run 16th right now Doug Kobe runs 18th but now is that other opportunity for the drivers that need to get that fuel to be able to go the distance to come down Pit Road we
See many of the pit Crews down on Pit Road with their fuel men up and ready to go now the question is whether or not this is too early to come in for that first set of tires and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not
Anybody decides to go for that and here is Ronnie so he has worked his way back up remember that was among the first cars to pit he is back up to the 16th position and directly behind the number 58 machine of Eric Goodale Goodale as we
Said he is a individual that comes on very strong late in the event and uh those two cars are currently running as we’re looking Pit Road is still closed at this particular point and there you can see directly behind the silk car is the number 02 machine and that of course
Uh is uh maybe a surprise to some Joey culture the fourth car you mentioned Eric Goodale in the 58 you know I thought he was going to be a lot stronger today he likes this RAC trck when you look at the type of tracks that Eric Goodell runs well at
It’s tracks like Thompson tracks that carry a lot of speed and although this track really mirrors Thompson to a point it’s a little bit smaller the banking is a little bit higher um but but he likes the way this track drives and and I’m just surprised he didn’t qualify all
That well today and he really hasn’t had the Speed that we would have expected out him you’re certainly right and remember you go to a facility like Thompson the straightaways are completely flat the turns are banked it is an oversized or depending on how you look at it an undersiz 5/8 or an
Oversized half mile facility and we have seen it on many many occasion that when these competitors uh run good at One Racetrack it’s a different combination Here Comes Justin bonsor he’s leading that Congo line back down on Pit Road and priest is already in Ryan Newman the
14 car is there Jake Johnson is coming in as well and then Matt hman car number 60 you’re looking directly at it behind old blue the number three machine and there is the hman machine now Hershman strategy is to put fuel in right here they’re checking stat dagger on the left
Rear and they send Matt Herman’s car that is the Florida connection machine a lot of history surrounding that operation the Narducci family Vanetta Narducci her husband Greg continues uh to invest and sponsor and be a part of the racing there’s Ryan Newman back out with fellow Cup driver priest with the
Number 40 car as well so work pretty pretty interesting Ben to see how those guys came off the Pit Road right so Justin bonsor and Matt Herman came off Pit Road were very very efficient along with Jake Johnson in the 64 uh but you see both Ryan Newman and Ryan priest
Both came off of Pit Road very very deep and what that tells me is that they came in not only for 5 seconds of fuel they also made some adjustments on those car they certainly did and we actually saw that we saw on Matt Herman’s car they
Made an adjustment to the left rear of the car so stagger making these adjustments putting a round of wedge in or taking a round out out depending on the situation now you know for a fact that the spotters are not only keeping their eyes on their car that they’re
Spotting for but they’re also checking on the strategy of the other cars there’s a lot more to this than one might imagine when it comes to pit strategy both on and off Pit Road back down on Pit Road is the Tim Conley car again car number V4 and also there is
The number 23 machine that has just came down for Carson Loft now what’s interesting about all the cars that came down Pit Road what might be more interesting is a car that did not come down Pit Road and that is the 46 the race leader at Craig Lut so dougo ja
Decided that I’m going to keep my driver out there I’m going to maintain track position and he’s going to roll the dice and keep that car 46 on track well you know if you watch that car and we’ve been watching it very closely and you look at timing and scoring you will
Discover that his laps are very consistent they have not tapered off they have not backed down but will this caution change the strategy here there’s another look at the chain of events and how quickly it can change as the order of the restart is shuffled strategy can you gain more positions by taking
Advantage of the restart situation or do you want to play it safe that is not the case for Ronnie silk or Doug Kobe well they gained right so Doug Kobe started back in the 13th position Ron silk started third but fell back and now he’s got that track position once again by
That strategy green flag is back out here again 48 laps complete at new samna Ron silk defending race winner and defending champion on the attack running that bottom Lane trying to challenge Craig Lutz he can’t make that work but here comes Doug Kobe this is the farthest forward he has been all night
As he tries to put a wheel to the outside of Ron Sil he tries just about everything to make that move now directly behind them things are starting to get well a little bit wiry and there is the number 60 machine of Matt hman now being shown in the sixth position
Inside Austin beers in the Ron new house prepared car running the bottom of the racetrack and there is Matt hman hman not showing a lot yet but that’s kind of the way that he does things there is Anthony CES with that number 19 car also making its presence known that’s one of
The first cars to go to the outside and there is Andrew kuss car number 24 truss and down on Pit Road under green not a good sign for Jake Johnson with the number three car Joe the bowler car is pitting under green it looks like a
Pass through penalty yes it does as he rejoins at the tail end of the field so trouble for Jake Johnson and with these modified races being 200 laps you’ve got to be near perfect he will look in the rear view mirror Craig Lots quickly closing in on him and so Jake Johnson
Really hoping to see a quick caution here and see if he can make up for lost round Justin bonor sneaks underneath Eric Goodale and gets a spot there as we continue to monitor this battle up front this is a battle for fourth Andrew Krauss able to get around Austin beer
Slides inside the top four and he has been a contender on the short runs that he has made he certainly has and here at the new samur Speedway go back to the inaugural event he was involved in the jingle with Ryan priest it was kind of one of those things that just happened

Flag you see the car bottoming out down in turns 1 and two but it appears as though they have made that car better remember he does not have new tires he just has a bit of a new setup and it looks like maybe Justin bonsor in his
Car that 51 coming back to life as well he gets underneath Anthony cesley and that will move him inside the top seven Justin bonsen your’s car seems to work so well on the bottom wherever he has been able to pick up a spot or two he
Has made the move diving to the inside puts the left front on the yellow line comes out wide and then Powers off the turns meanwhile CES still battling right there with him with that number 19 Car good run turned in by Anthony CES he had a
Great run a year ago at this racetrack as well so he likes the track he likes the speed and he’s obviously got a good race car here today and the story behind that number 19 Car Steven kopic used to maintain these race cars but as of two
Weeks ago these Steven kopic Tommy wanet car they parted ways so they didn’t have the mechanic behind the scenes Anthony cesley had to go up to New Town Connecticut where those cars were kept picked those cars up and over the past two weeks prepare that race car to come
Racing here and what they’re up against is a tall order with a talent in this field he’s got that car running in the eighth position that’s a pretty solid run to the early going considering what they have been up yes and he’s been consistent all throughout the day he was

Of the racetrack we’ve did a car off the pace but we are still under green and and it is Lutz now about a car length and a half back on Ron silk the leader you look at Ron silk now a two-time Wheeling modifi tour Champion what motivates him what matters to him is
Simply race wins he says the Championships are nice but I want to win and he’s done a lot of that over the years this race here is a start of speed weeks they call it the S series of asphalt racing here at new samura Speedway what that creates is an

Facility that Rod silk likes once again there is the kuss machine and now we can see that it appears that Matt hman who is still sitting in the fourth position starting to close in on him Herman’s time mirroring that of Ronnie silk so silk just a little bit quicker
But another solid run by Krauss sitting there in third hman continuing to gain ground sitting there in the fourth spot bonsor his lap times have settled in a little bit not as quick as Ron silk and you see that Gap has grown to about a

Across the halfway point in tonight’s new samna visitors bureau 200 for the NASCAR wheel modifi tour no sense in using your race car up here you know you’ve got tires on on Pit Road you know you still have to make a pit stop if you’re correct L you has been down Pit
Road at all and so there’s still a lot of opportunity for them there certainly is and you have to remember that previously to the modifi tour running at this racetrack for their first stop these competitors the longest distance race they might have been able to compete in was here in the world series
For the Richie Evans memorial 100 it Taps things off so for some of these teams they know what to expect and in anticipate with the changes of the racetrack and the changes of the equipment itself continuing to work here as we roll through and now into the second
Half of the race 102 laps complete we saw Craig Lutz lead a majority of the way in the first half then Ronnie silk took over the lead on lap 81 we watched silk in that 16 car now as he guides it through turns one and two but quickly
Closing in is Andrew prous in that 24 car his family operates the wall Stadium in New Jersey and he puts his focus on running there and supporting the family operation on the Saturday nights in the summer that prevents him from running to full Wheel Modified tour schedule but
When he shows up he’s been more and more impressive and right now he is challenging for the race lead Midway down the back straight away on Ron silk he really does he’s able to reel him in now takes a look at the inside silk knows he’s there silk spotter telling
Him exactly what the margin is between him and the car that is running behind him directly in front of them the Riverhead Building Supply machine of Eric Gale Here Comes Sil looking to go to the outside of Goodale not as easy as he thought it
Might be I’m sure but now he’s able to well be able to pull around and take over the spot but who’s right there with him Andrew Krauss Krauss has got a Powerhouse of a race car and it’s not showing any of the wear whatsoever he’s got the back bumper of that 24 looks
Like it’s been knocked off earlier in the race using that Chrome horn or somebody was using it on him but kuss he’s got that car turning pretty good and you start to see Ron silk get a little bit more active in that race car earlier he was very effortless now you
See those gloves saching back and forth the car not is fmly planted in the RAC track of the exit of turn two that has allowed kuss to close it and now while that’s been going on the 23 and the one car Patrick emling they also have a good
Battle going on those two competitors of course Carson Lofton there as well and there is Patrick Emerling Sil comes up alongside wasn’t very long ago that Patrick emling looked like a shoe in directly in front of the leader Ron Sil is Tim Conley now Silk’s been in this position
Quite a bit in the wheel and modified T but for Andrew kuss he has not been in the position of being near the front of the field and working his way through lap traffic and right now they are two by two in front of him Tim Conley in the
Lane where Ron silk wants to run he’ll have to follow him through and work around Gary McDonald that’s not an easy task whatsoever while that was happening we’ve noticed that Patrick amling’s car all of a sudden had gotten exceptionally loose meanwhile the 3 car still right there with him Carson lton out of
Lexington North Carolina back up front clean air and there is the Emerling number one car try to shake off the 23 Gary McDonald on the inside La automobile car number 26 Here Comes CRS silk a little bit loose that time Joe putting the pressure on Ron silk
They’ve got a little bit of RAC trck to work and Andrew Krauss wants to take advantage of it here because lap traffic has proven tricky and Ron silk has been able to work through that Chris hat and I’m sure will give way to the bottom as
He’s been doing for the past couple of laps silk able to open it up now a couple of car lengths Advantage as now Krauss starts to get a little bit loose in his race car well Krauss is still able to stay right with him but it has

Comes Andrew Krauss closes right back into the back bumper of Ron silk once again looks to the bottom off turn number two puts a wheel to the inside Lane Here Comes Andrew kuss to the bottom of turn three he’ll take over the race lead over the defending Champion he
Makes it look so easy the oval speed sponsored car now takes over the lead this is another lead change in this event and once Krauss gets into the lead he starts to string it out even more at this particular point in the event third leader of the race Craig
Lutz Ron silk and now Andrew Krauss showing the way here in the modifies we talked about it the first stop of the wheel of modifi tour when they all came to new samura it was fous it was very racy and very strong got in a jingle that side signed him for the
Event meanwhile the 42 car being shown to the center of your screen as well that’s Spencer Davis Spencer Davis long run a lot of history with him in full body competition he had a lot of success here at this racetrack as well Andrew kuss is really starting to spring it out just a
Bit and even though traffic is quite heavy Joe I don’t think anybody anticipated these long green flag runs like we’re seeing yeah we’re getting towards the end here and look who Andrew Krauss is about ready to lap that is the 40 car of Ryan PR who was so quick not
Too long ago when they first fired off PR right now running in the 17th position Andrew kuss will pull to the outside Midway down the back straight away and trying to make quick work of Brian priest but Prest does not want to let this happen now priest in that lucky
Dog position but in CR go skating right on by and bypasses the 40 he made it look so easy with a lot of finesse and style directly behind them there is another good battle going on priest is there we haven’t talked much about this Lutz is back in the sixth position
Austin beers is back up to the seventh spot as we speak Anthony CES setting in eight so there is Ryan PR trying to hold off the cars behind him to maintain that position as the lucky dog but as he does that you’ve got to keep an eye on the 14
Of ran Newman because as soon as Andrew Krauss gets ahead of that next car then he will no longer be the lucky dog driver wow we just saw a situation that could have been a costly one as all of a sudden preach this car you can see that
Car is skating all over the racetrack he is really manhandling the automobile that’s not to his likings it’s just he’s hoping that there will be a caution that he can go in and make that adjustment and there will be a caution I mean we are now 125 coming up at 125 laps into
This race and every single one of these race cars is skating around this racetrack it is only a matter of time before the tires run out and somebody gets themselves into trouble because it is just right on the Razor Edge and as you’re looking right now there is Andrew
Krauss running directly behind the number 14 machine Ryan Newman new Newman’s car broke a little bit of looseness there for a second gathered it back and then Krauss and this is working to the advantage of silk who is now moving right back in Newman slips up the track kuss goes
By Silk looking for the same piece of real estate here silk will work to the bottom as Ryan Newman gets way now Ryan Newman one of the most difficult drivers to pass and silk just lost the nose coming up off turn four and that lost momentum but the caution is out it’s
Patrick Emerling who is stopped off turn two he’s got the car rolling once again our third caution of the night on lap 127 and for many of these drivers it could have come at a better time but the question is who was the first car one
Lap down it was likely Ryan dooman who had just gotten passed by the race leader certainly was and of course we were watching Patrick emling about 10 laps ago and that car suddenly was all over the racetrack it was a handful for him now this is also the opportunity
That Ryan priest was looking for to get down to make an adjustment these cars are drastically changing as Joe had pointed out we are at a point in the race where tires Fuel and those final chassis adjustments could make the difference between first and being one
Lap down this race is going to be turned upside down because we’ve talked about those two you know tires and six tires two pit stops Craig Lutz still has to get fuel so he’s got to come down Pit Road a couple of times but that doesn’t
Rule us out with 72 laps to go of coming out a little bit later and getting pit stops and tires with 30 laps to go if the opportunity exists so this is going to set up what could be one long run to the Finish or two short Saturday night
Feature events with fresh tires at the end of each one certainly is and uh there you saw on your screen of course the car that is leading the event and that of course is the Koss machine a car that is uh very very consistent and strong Meanwhile we’re looking back at
The bottom of the top 20 Ryan Newman is in the 16th position Doug Kobe was in 15th position and uh so the story with that Ryan Newman was the lucky dog he will get his lap back the drivers that were trapped next would have been Tyler
Catalano and Ryan PR correct he stuck a la down right and that is going to again four twist and turns on this story for the mcar wheeler modified tour in the new subur visitors now pulling out on Pit Road Pit Road is open and everybody will come it looks like Ron silk Matt
Hman Johnson Tyler is in Goodale is in foron Tim Conley Austin beers and there is the number 46 car Craig Lutz jacking up where all eyes are on the 46 machine as we’re looking the car being jacked up 64 car of Austin beers could not get cleanly
Into his pit stall his right rear tire hanging out and that is going to make it hard for him to exit Pit Road if Justin bonor doesn’t complete his service on time but Ronnie silk he will win the race off of Pit Road for we’ll SK here
Bonson he is able to squeak on by the number three of Jake Johnson makes it by 64 of Austin beers loses a little bit of ground got kind of pinched on Pit Road Tyler rip him up also makes it back out and kyleon Sor of that pack oh trouble qus of the
Way down Tommy Catalano got into the back of the 18 of Ken Ken hiy was trying to turn into his stall Anthony cesley has missed his pit stall and he is trying to back up to his crew that’s a gap that would get you to the garage and
Matter of fact he’s just trying to leave pit Lane and had gotten in that tangle as well so CES is able to get rolling once again and hey does make it back out way down the other end of Pit Road we were keeping our eyes on now it appears that Craig
Lutz they made the tire change now they’re going for the fuel Joe and the reason for that is because when you’re changing tires at a high rate of speed Sparks Fly and they don’t want to have fuel and Sparks on the same pit stop and that’s why they put the rule in
Place from a safety standpoint where you can only do one or the other on a pit stop so Craig Lutz had a cycle back around and do that he was the only car that did not come down on one of those first two cautions and get fuel but now
He’s paying the price for that yeah he led 81 laps of this race but now he’s going to be at the tail end or at least mid pack still on the lead lap but he’s going to have score to do certainly is and of course we’re looking at timing
And scoring Ronnie Sil still shown as the leader there’s a look at the cross excuse me the cross machine right there car number 24 now Ryan priest is on Pit Road being a lap down he pitted on the lap down side of the uh the round
Of pit stops they are making a lot of adjustments on that car they’ll change three tires on it they’ll make adjustments to the right front suspension as well they are taking their time to try to get that race car better here and what is going to be a short run
To the Finish but uh he is able to drop the Jack and make his way back out out of the racetrack you know we saw that car so strong at the start of this event then we saw him literally having to manhandle the automobile now we’re
Looking at what appears to be one of the Catalano cards is stopped to the inside of the racetrack while Pit Road is not open at this point and there’s the Lutz machine and Andrew car you can see the uh sticker right front tire right rear tire as well so interesting there right
So he came down as the race leader and uh it appeared as though that Ronnie silk was the first car to come down pit Lane and that Andrew Krauss missed that first run at Pit Road yes it did appear that that was the story of the case and
That could be the deciding factor in this event as well so down in Pit Road receiving the assistance is a number 54 machine part of the Catalano Stables that of course uh is having a problem getting fired back up and that’s Tommy Catalano who was very strong in the F the FX capara
Machine capara machine and uh that car is being pushed behind the wall and that is uh not a good situation at this point in the event field working under the caution here 134 laps complete Ryan priest you saw him a moment ago on and off Pit Road for more

Road but it just does not work for him and uh that’s certainly going to be a tough end to his night uh but that intensity at the front of the field this is almost like what happened here a year ago between these two drivers cautions late Bunch them back up together once
Again earlier in the broadcast tonight we talked about the difference in the tires and that difference of having that long run speed and whether or not your car fires off Well Ron silk his car fires off pretty quickly on the restart but it took Justin bonsor five or six
Laps to get the heat in those tires and get it to the point where he can start roll once again and that’s something to keep an eye on and while those two have been in a battle out front Matt hman has been very quiet kind of setting back in
That third position now hman strategy in his setup is his race are completely different Dynamic so is hman saving anything well they don’t call him big money mad for nothing he’s looking for the money but there is the future homes car number 16 Phil Moran built this brand new race
Car with one thing in mind to get a win here where they left off last year with a win and they went on to become the champion of the NASCAR will and modifi tour and there is the number 16 machine of Ronnie so bonor the Ryan Stone prepared car in second third
In single file formation the 60 of hman and hman is just so so talented when you look at what he’s been able to accomplish he he doesn’t run for a championship in any one series last season he came away with 19 victories and he was injured with a broken wrist
For a couple of months right in the heart of the season the year before that 28 wins in a season he ran in all four of the major touring modified series and what’s interesting is that’s a short race format a long race format some races with pitch stops some without and
Matt hman knows how to adapt and quite honestly he enjoys it and his talent is just amazing of what he’s been able to do you know then you combine that with this other factor that we talked about before that car is 8 years old almost every car competing on the wheel and
Modify tour they have a newer chassis or they’ve went to a different combination not for the hman family they believe in the product and what they’ve got there is the Ryan Newman machine the advantage car on Pit Road interesting call also you saw a moment ago Austin beers in
That team on Pit Road to take some tires they’ll take three tires will be their last set of tires to make that adjustment looks like they did not get the left rear tire completely tightened though and they will try to do that but quickly coming down the front
Straightaway is the Pace truck and could that trap him a lap down Austin beer all the way in the turn one he’s able to make it out Joe and the lights out as well and that will certainly uh allow him to rejoin at the tail of the field but interesting call
There because now if everybody else comes in and get those tires in the lake going Austin beers would have the track position and so we’ll see if any of these other crew chiefs decide to bring their cars down Pit Road and of course we still also some other competitors
That are working their way back up to the front include Ronnie Williams who’s become a factor again with the Tomato number 99 car Kyle bonsor just out of the top six positions there as well and it looks like deja vu of what we can expect for Ronnie so here he
Comes not get going he spun the tires but he’s in the gas you can see that modified slide sideways and Craig Lutz is there to try to take advantage Lutz on the back straightaway pushing Bon to newor towards turn number three bonsor will protect the bottom Lutz runs the
Middle Groove and can’t do anything with him it is Lutz who still try everything to make the move meanwhile little further back side by side racing Ripa and Kyle bonor are in a side by side battle but back towards our front pack of cars Lutz continues to work over Kyle
Bon and Justin bonsure Kyle Bor in a fourcc car bid at the bottom of the top seven Kyle B the 22 trouble turn three it’s Eric goodel and Austin Pierce who come together both slide sideways everybody scatters and we’re going to stay into the green flag for the moment
But Eric Goodale’s got heavy left front damage and right front his car slides across the racetrack in front of traffic here on the front straightway and that will bring out the caution one more time neither of the two cars went spinning completely uh but Eric Goodale who is
Now stopped on the front straightaway got pretty good damage on both front tires did a great job of trying to keep that car out of arm’s way and the Goodale GF machine is setting stranded on the front straight away and it appears you can look at the front end right front left
Front towed in opposite directions that’s not how it’s supposed to be or not the design whatsoever it all happened in the middle of turns three and four it was Austin beers who was running to the inside Lane and he slid up and made contact with Eric good don’t
Know if the content was coming from the top or from the bottom but the two came together and it put us under the caution 156 laps complete in the season opener for the NASCAR wheel and modifi tour we’ll be back as we head to the finish in just a m

There is no question car number one directly in front of the leaders is of course Patrick Emerling that car uh was involved in one of the earlier cautions of the event are you surprised with the fact that we have had such long green flag runs and we have not had many
Serious situations spent for minor situations at this point in the event well I think the uh moment with 40 to go those long green flag runs might be a thing of the past year all of a sudden it’s over with we’ve seen that over the years but that creates that intensity
And that excitement as we get towards the end there’ll be 39 laps to go when we get back into the green flag these two guys have no love loss between them they’ve battled for many years over the championship well documented last season and Justin bonsu are wants to go out
There and take that crown back from Ronnie silk and set his season in the right Direction but here we go ready for the restart here 39 laps to go watch out because silk has been able to literally stand on the throttle and pull away on every previous restart this one will be

Thing that is the same is the outside Lane tend to be favored on the restart and all three of those guys between silk ponor even Craig Lutz has won at Thompson and has Doug Kobe but that outside Lane of those restarts if you can get that rolling here tonight where

Held in the fall of the Thompson Speedway motor Sports Park and then back to Martinsville Speedway on a standalone Saturday night race to Crown the 2024 NASCAR wiland modified T our champion very popular schedule and I think because of that you’ve seen many more teams commit to running the full
Schedule here this year and a strong showing of what was 35 cars that showed up to race here today it certainly was and it’s only been two stops one last year in North wilksboro that had that huge car count and then we come back here to New samna and uh we also talked
About at the start of this event it isn’t just a good car count but we were able to see some very competitive cars sometimes we’ll have a front pack of cars a middle pack that’s not the case we had good racing all the way through this field and uh now we see them
Working in that Speedy dry in the racing surface itself and it’s going to be a shootout what uh short track racing is all about you could have got a great shot there of the fans that are pumped up and ready for this one and the closer

Assistance of a push vehicle as uh these cars were sitting over there and and that seems to be the case as now Lutz’s machine is also getting a push off as well bonson your’s car fires Andrew Krauss is number 24 what a great run for Andrew Krauss in this event really
Turning some heads bonson yure Ryan Stone last year they were so disappointed because they had such a fast race car and it came down to the closing laps and things did not work to their advantage well see the 51 adjusted bons before before we get to the finish
Of this race he will have a new spotter for his team moving forward because the spotter of that 51 for the last couple of years Ryan Blanchard got the call to go to the Nascar Cup Series he will be having the opportunity to spot for John
Hunter neich at Legacy motor club as he takes over that ride at the start of the 2024 campaign already had the opportunity to spot for him at The Clash he said it was like spotting at The Clash was like spotting for a modified at Riverhead he sure did I had plenty of
EXP yes and and there are some of our uh spotters from uh haop broadcast Central as uh Tony hman there in the middle the 6 long time spotter for Kyle Busch now for Ty Gibbs all up on the roof there was very influential on that happening but a lot of modified talent
That makes it uh to the NASCAR National series and this is just another example of Ryan and his opportunity who already has a cup Victory with Tyler reck at theota road course but gets the opportunity to go full-time spotting in 2024 great kid and uh very deserving and
A major asset to the sport and a major asset from modified racing as well so yellow flag is displayed 181 just clicked off final preparation down in turn number three to the top side of the racetrack and the young Catalano did a great job as you can see by the
Line of oil Drive where that motor expired and then came to a screeching halt so work still continues up in turns three and four but the Dynamics of this has changed now right so we went from that long long green flag run of the beginning now multiple short runs inside
Of 20 laps to go we saw the car sitting on the back straight away how that impacted the cars where they couldn’t fire them up yep and now what about the tires you’re right the tires have had the process of going through they’ve cooled they’ve heated again and of of
Course it is going to be a dash for the cash right to the finish in this one Missour is number d0 back down on Pit Road the green machine looks like they’re looking at something on the left side of the race car itself and from race control senior director Jimmy
Wilson with the NASCAR officials his staff of experts resident experts looking things over and they will radio back upstairs 182 of 200 got a couple of drivers at the front of the field who are hungry to prove that they belong at the top of the modified ranks and everybody everybody
Is going to come down Pit Road and get those tires we talked about Ron silk is in Craig Lutz Justin Bon your Matt hman D Kobe they’re all in on Pit Road with the opportunity to get tires here at the end of this one it’ll put it in the
Hands of the pit Crews it sure will and uh let’s keep our eyes on who’s going to get first we’re looking at let’s go down to Pit Road and Jesse punch contemplating maybe it would be an electrical issue but now that they’ve left the car here on pay Road it doesn’t
Seem to be much of a problem going to do a two tire change hopefully get this 16 back up so Ron silk will win the race off of Pit Road and I misspoke earlier one car stayed out yes and that one car that stayed out Doug Kobe was the guy as he is
Perhaps in the best position of them all they might think as Kobe is there behind Kobe Austin beers shown in second before we go back to green Ronnie silk in third so both Austin beers and Doug Kobe stayed out they did not come in on Pit
Road Austin beers was on Pit Road not that long ago but remember he had that D had a problem remember he got off to a tough start in the early caution in this event had a problem getting back to his location on Pit Road here we go as the lights still remain on
184 so here’s how this is going to play out so Doug Kobe will have the opportunity to choose he’ll choose the outside I would bet on the restart that’ll put Austin beers and Ron silk on the bottom Lane how about Tyler ripk he has been a surprise in this one but he
Has placed himself strategically in perhaps the best spot of them all down in Pit Road Tim Conley he’s got a problem got the air hose literally waving like a tail off that race car that is not what he was looking for to say the least but and now car number 18
Is also looking to return to the competition that’s Ken heggy out of Calverton New York so there you see that air hose being dragged around the back of the four car of Tim connley he’ll have to come down Pit Road and get that addressed before he continues on uh
Tyler rip on that team remember earlier in the day we had qualifying here and he laid down a lap until he got to turn two you saw him just hang his head inside the race car knowing that he gave some up and he’s been digging at it all day
Long his uh father Dean that are are teamed with this operation that’s a group that they install Stadium lights all around of the Northeast particularly in New York and that Tyler rifa team many teams and competitors back in the pit area say when they put it together
And get the entire package they’re going to be really really tough to beat he’s in position right now with a great starting spot on the outside of the second row certainly is and of course as you said before nobody knows what to anticipate or expect after this uh well
It was perhaps the lengthiest caution of the event as the racing conditions and the surface looking good now as we speak and remember the Strategic way it is been is the outside Lane is always the lane of choice here at the new s Speedway on these
Restarts and now it appears that uh the Tim Conley machine they’ve removed the hose and they’re sending Conley back out at the rear of the pack so the field rolls up off turn number four most of the safety Vehicles if not all of them have retired back to pit Lane and we
Will see whether or not they get the indication here uh for one lap to go or if they take another opportunity and they will just to check that racing surface as they’ve got a couple of vehicles that they’re trying to get repositioned over in turn two in the
Infield gate so they’ll uh hold off on giving them the one to go here so we’ll have what looks like at most 11 laps to go to the finish of tonight’s event and a couple of drivers that are going to be sitting on the front row who haven’t
Been up there all night and that’s in Doug Kobe and Austin beers certainly is and of course as we said uh this is the ultimate Sprint this is the the type of distance you usually see in a qualifying hey at most short tracks in America that run qualifying events so uh

Laps dwindle down but D Kobe and Austin beers those are the two drivers that really dominated this race last year we’ve highlighted a lot about Ronnie silk but he didn’t take the race lead over until late and then it was a battle between Justin bonson y but the race
Last year Doug Kobe LED 106 laps Austin beers in that 64 thought he was going to score his first wheel and modifi tour Victory and he came up a little bit short but for both of those guys it hasn’t been a smooth night Kobe started mid pack struggled to move forward got
The track position here at the end of the game with a race car that’s good Austin beers he’s been in an incident car’s not perfect but he finds himself up in the front he certainly does then Tyler Ripa is in the fourth position finding himself in the perfect Lane of

So, I think that Craig Lutz's bad luck is turning around due to teaming up with Goodie Motorsports.
For the second year in a row, Ron Silk was able to hold off Justin Bonsignore and the second year in a row Bonsignore finishes runner-up. Well Hirschman finished 10th and this is his favorite racetracks, I'm starting to wonder why he is falling.
