Hey everyone welcome back to bogis are us uh I’m Sean and I’m John all right man well uh couple big couple big weeks or just a big week in golf um since we last chatted um you know we had a we had a pretty big loss in um in Hollywood as
For both of us who are pretty big fans one of probably most of the movies he’s done um from Happy Gilmore to uh to the rest so yeah the rocky series uh his work with Mandalorian show uh obviously we’re talking about Carl Weathers um passed away back on fed first uh so
Pretty much right after we recorded the last week’s podcast um you know obviously kind of a big loss for those that remember chubs from Happy Gilmore I mean for those in the golf world that’s going to be where we kind of remember him um but obviously he had other pretty
Important roles um obviously he was in Rocky um the whole Rocky series really um you know again the Star Wars series he also worked on Predator um there was a few other like lesser known movies but very uh very unfortunate to see him
Go I mean he was in his 70s um you know a life well-lived but uh you know always a bit of an unfortunate loss when you lose someone that you kind of have fond memories of even though it’s you know we we get attached to celebrities um you know just kind of the
Way the world is right now but uh you know Carl Weathers rest in peace Brother 100% RIT to chubs uh I mean yeah and then I mean moving forward for posit for our positive side um we just had the AT&T Pebble Beach that happened um this weekends uh we had team Rory
And why can’t I think about his partner Rory and Jordan Speed having a little bit of beef uh not that one yet but the Rory Rory and him his partner won the like proam side of it oh I I I truly did not catch any of
The proam side at all oh okay sorry yeah so roor Rory and I foret who his partner is won the proam side um so I mean which is pretty cool it’s a lot of fun it’s a lot of fun to see all the big names that
Were there this week and uh and the celebrities that went went with it I mean if you watched it they never stopped showing Tom Brady classic but um it would have been nice to see more people but yeah I mean overall it was a good proam side and you know we we got
To watch some awesome golf while it was really nice Thursday Friday and Saturday so yeah and in the prom side I mean we we knew what we were getting ourselves into I mean they do the same thing every year they they show golf but it’s usually the
The AMS more than the pros just because you know golf is what it is um but I mean we also talked about it a little bit last week that weather could play a a pretty big hamper on this tournament and turns out that it did um just a 54 hole tournament
Um I’ll I’ll leave the 54 hole comments uh aside for now um but Windam Clark um just an incredible third round shooting 60 um volted right up the leaderboard there so good win for Windam Clark uh he gets him back in the winter Circle uh first one since last year’s US Open yeah
Um so I mean that’s two wins on two very good golf courses with LA Country Club and Pebble Beach um so I mean really really good finish for him um L gabber another Strong finish as well coming one shot back um I mean we we were talking
About him a little bit with the Ridder Cup last year of like you know this guy could be uh the next upcoming Star and he’s really starting to play like that um I mean Lou gber definitely going to be someone to watch going into some of these big tournaments with like Riv
Coming up um obviously players Masters I don’t know if he’ll be in the Masters I don’t think he will because I just don’t think he’s going to pick up a win that early um but I mean he’s definitely a fun guy to watch I agree I was I’m not
Gonna lie as much as I loved Windam Clark winning it I was really hoping to see what would happen on that Sunday obviously like you saying right the weather took a a massive toll on on them playing it but um I really was looking forward to Sunday like aberer one shot
Behind you know uh Matthew pav pavon or whatever uh French you know he was two shots back and he played really well last week and two weeks ago sorry in one um you know you had Scotty in there uh Jason day Thomas was up there you know I
Think if if one of these guys you know would have went out and shot 6264 which wouldn’t have happened because the weather obviously but you know if if things took a little bit of a different turn you we would have had a I think a really great Sunday finish going in and
And it’s it’s sad unfortunately like this is I I’ll say it this is why I don’t like 54 holes um this is why I like 72 but um you know I think we missed out on some really good golf on a finishing Sunday uh but again congrats
To wiam Clark on on that Big W uh because like again like you said uh La Country Club and then Pebble Beach Pebble Beach is definitely a harder course than I think people realize um and so here’s my here’s my question that I G to ask you because two big numbers
Two really low numbers happened this weekend is it more impressive to shoot a 59 at myoba or is it more impressive to shoot a 60 at Pebble Beach I mean that that’s a good question I mean so they’re both minus 12 um just
Mya Cobo is a par 71 um so I mean side by side they’re potentially the same round I I would probably say the 60 at Pebble is probably a more impressive round just knowing the history that’s at Pebble um like that is now the course record um I mean we’re talking about a
Course that’s held us opens U Maya COA has always kind of been one of these like opposite field type courses um usually you get low scores there you don’t you don’t really see that a whole lot at Pebble um you don’t see guys going you know let’s just say
They go for one more round you know you’re going to have Windham Clark and aerg and Pon finish minus 20 minus 23 somewhere in that ballpark um I mean I’ll give it to Windham Clark for what I would compare is the better round um for history sake of things I mean you gota
You got to like 59 right you could say you broke 60 yeah yeah I mean it’s I think 59 is a good number par 71 or not right it’s a great number but I do agree with you it’s in my opinion um and people might not like it because I know people
Are about all about live right now but um I I don’t think it’s as impressive as a 60 at Pebble Beach I think one the rating of Pebble Beach is way harder than it is at myao but one like and I’m not taking anything away from a 59 but
Like it’s that’s a great number right but one you’re you’re at C Level and shooting at 60 then in Mya Koba you got an elevation which you just bom the ball you see these guys at I don’t know if you remember but when they used to do
The um uh World Golf Championship down in Mexico um and you had DJ raw moror all those guys just absolutely hitting 420 yard par fours and one because of the elevation change and they could just bomb the ball like that but I I don’t know I I think the Pebble
Beach side is is definitely more important uh not more important more impressive sorry I mean I mean let’s not say that Maya Koba is like way above sea level like you are still on the ocean um I mean it’s it’s different type of like there’s a a different kind of
Humidity with it I mean when you’re in Northern California um some of those cold days get just like very heavy um compared to being in Mexico where it’s generally warmer you don’t quite have that kind of thick air to it um so I mean yeah you’re probably going to hit
It a little bit farther myoba but I mean we’re still looking at a course that’s on the ocean um again I think just the difficulty side of things like pebble is a Precision course right like there’s not a whole lot of holes where you’re like
Oh I could just bomb it out there right I mean we almost saw Jordan speed fall off cliff a couple years ago playing that course um so I mean again for the for the sake of a round of golf Windham Clark’s round is definitely a little bit more impressive um but yeah
I if I ever shot 59 I would never let anybody forget it like let’s just put it that way like I agree it doesn’t matter if it’s at a city course yeah I get you 59 and shag nappy and still be like yeah I shot 59 yeah give me one of those belts
Yeah 100% yeah that I mean it’s a it’s a pretty awesome thing to do right so yeah that was that was kind of just my question because it did get brought up I I personally didn’t post about it and it it definitely got some heat for not
Posting the 59 but I posted about the 60 um but yeah no I I thought I’d I definitely thought I’d post that out there and and see what uh what your thoughts were on that I mean I think the biggest thing is like when you just compare the two side by side Windham
Clark shot 60 and won like it was just there nean shoots 59 first round and ends up going to a playoff like there there’s always a little bit of that kind of clutch Factor like what do you do in the final round I mean that was the whole thing with
Steuart applebe when he shot 59 of The Greenbrier I believe that one was was a third round as well um Jim furck when he shot 58 was it was on a Sunday but he was like way back uh like the 58 jumped him inside the top 15 I believe but like
That didn’t really do a whole lot um I I I again I think the fact that he did it in what is now the final round obviously again Sunday rained out whatever um but like he did it to win like we didn’t shoot 60 on that day he doesn’t win no
100% which like um with one thing I I just remembered L abber did actually have a win he won the RSM earlier this year yeah I was gonna say I’m pretty sure he does have a win so he will be in the Masters yes yeah I was I I sorry I
Was gonna go back to that um I was just looking it uh I thanks for golf um yeah uh but yeah like uh yeah I’m like I said I’m I’m disappointed that we didn’t get to see that Sunday finish right like we had like the future of the PJ is
Bright with with those young guys like guys who haven’t won before but now are winning and then they’re at the top of the leaderboard the next week it isn’t just like a one-time thing and um I do think we’re in for a treat coming up so
And I think one of the real things that the PGA Tour has going for right now is the young International Players um like aberg right I mean we’re talking about it not quite being as us dominated as it was maybe in the past I mean you still
Had very good showings this week from other Americans you had Scotty Sheffer Justin Thomas uh Sam Burns all top 10 um so I mean you still have the big names um but I mean it’s that’s just what golf is right now so yeah I mean it’s great
To see uh like both sides of the ocean doing great I I I enjoy watching it now right I enjoy tuning into Saturday Sundays and and not only seeing Scotty shuffler winning or Rory winning and you know as much as I I enjoy watching Rory
Win um it’s also now fun to watch all these young studs go up and play awesome golf so uh I mean again Pebble Beach is always a course too that you’re remember like having good rounds there because again it’s a major course um you know there’s a lot of history there the tiger
Years um you know some really good finishes um but I mean now we kind of move into what’s definitely the most exciting week of the year I mean for the atmosphere perspective I mean I’ll I’ll let you go on on the waste management there because I know you’re a huge waste
Management fan I just need to run and grab a charging cord for my phone which is almost dying here oh yeah go go to your thing run um yeah I mean Waste Management uh is I’d say other than Majors probably one of the like the biggest um tournaments of the year I
Think we get to see the stadium at 16 it’s it’s just a party hole right uh it reminds everyone of what uh kind of Rider cup or president cup is like um and the atmosphere that comes with it um you know you get your you still get your
One I mean not all the top players but most of the top players you have your two-time defending champ back to back and Scotty shler he’s still coming back this year uh maybe he can thre repeat so that could be a main story uh you know
Ricky Fowler um as I’m I’m rooting for Ricky right he’s uh he loves this course he’s always in this field uh this is definitely one of his favorite tournaments JT um he was golfing with I don’t know if you saw it I know that you’re back but JT he golfed with Nick
Savin today so Bama alumni there uh M Max hom um for Canadians you got Adam hadwin uh God you keep going but like Joel Damon’s in it right everyone loves him a little bit of Joel Damon so this is definitely one of those um horses for
The first 15 holes you get to play golf and then you get to 16 and and have a little fun with it this is the the tournament for me that I last year was obviously looking forward to going to and then having found out about the baby
And sick wife so like we definitely did not go but you know this is this is my this is my one of my dream tournaments to go to for sure yeah I mean this I think everyone who goes to the waste management comes back with the same kind
Of review of it saying like it’s more than a golf tournament like this is a a party on a golf course and you see it every year with the crowds on 16 I mean you’ve got probably the loudest non Stadium sporting event anywhere um
Like I know they kind of call it its own little Stadium because they kind of block it in and everything but like we’re still talking about a golf course like this isn’t a football field this isn’t a hockey rank like this is 150 yards of drunk ASU students and hardcore golf
Fans just having a party while PGA players play around them um I mean the course itself is always a little bit of a fun one too I mean I personally really like the layout of CBC scotdale um I I think it’s actually a very good course for a PGA Tour type of
Event you’ve got the long holes you got some shorter ones that really kind of create these risk reward situations um I mean 17 is the perfect example right you know you come into 17 with a one-stroke lead what do you do off that te and we’ve seen guys put it
In the water we’ve seen guys bail way right and have to play Shots backhanded out of bushes like we we’ve seen everything there so I mean this is going to be a fun week to watch um I mean I would agree it’s definitely one to knock
Off the bucket list if you ever have a chance to go um I mean if you do go good luck getting a seat on 16 on the weekend but uh yeah you better be there at like 3 in the morning just to get to the like
Just to get there honestly it I mean it’s a dream yeah you’re 3 in the morning to stand at the gates until 6:00 a.m and then you get to 16 and you got to wait 6 hours for the first group to come through but once the party gets going
It’s uh I mean you got probably the best view in golf so yeah and and the the best atmosphere too I like you’re you’re saying it’s it’s more than just a golf tournament at that point and it’s just a lot of fun so I mean I’m hoping next year I’m I’m
Going to try and make it down there and not just watch it but also try and get to play maybe after but PBC courses aren’t typically cheap so no I mean if you’re playing it within a week of the waste management you’re probably looking at least 500
Us um if not more I mean I would assume you’ve probably got 500 for the Green fee plus mandatory caddy uh and everything that kind of goes along with it so you’re probably looking 750 800 bucks by the time everything’s done 100% but I mean we there was a it was
Actually a good video out by um Eric Anders Lang um from random Golf Club he was talking about the top five public courses um check that one out if you’re looking for some public courses to play um but yeah there’s there’s some very good golf courses out there if you’re
Willing to pay the money to go play them um and TBC courses are definitely worth it to say that you’ve played it um you mean we look at TBC sass TBC Scottdale uh TBC avanel up in the new Northeast area uh like lots of very good golf
Courses to play 100% I mean I I remember in 2019 when I was booking my trip before Co happened um and I was looking at like Bay Hill and TBC Saw Grass and and that and TBC sass it was not cheap I mean I think it was 400 bucks American
Plus you had to have a caddy um it it was it was some wild things but it’s it’s they’re not cheap but they’re obviously like if you get the chance to play it I mean look at Pebble pebble’s a public horse and it’s 600 and I could be
Wrong on this but I think I read when I looked it up $650 American that’s if you’re not a if that’s if you’re just staying at the hotel so you have to like stay on the on the Resort plus you need to pay the 650
Plus you got to BU pay your caddy yeah I believe the the deal with them now is you have to stay at the resort to get a tea time um which I mean if you’re going to go that far might as well um I mean there’s a lot of these courses where
It’s you know the kind of the Futurama mean just like take my money um you know throw it on the credit card remember it later deal with it later yeah this this is a this is a a future Sha isue yeah exactly dip into the kids uh education fund a little still
Whatever they’re not gonna know about it school’s overrated um but yeah like on on that like who do you um like for this week like who would you pick as your top top two I mean I’m I’m gonna first off take sahi zala um I mean he became a bit of a
Crowd favorite uh he had a really strong showing I believe it was last year um that kind of came down to the wire on him uh where he had a shot on Sunday into the last couple holes uh it came up a little short but I think he’s been
Playing some pretty good golf this year uh this is going to be a course that he’s got some crowd favorite behind him he’s got some good memories there uh I think overall the courses again a good setup um for the guys that aren’t afraid
To take some risks uh so I think uh tala is going to be a pretty good option the one that I’m going to go a little off the board Uh Kevin Yu is going to be my kind of odd pick he has had a bit of a
Hot start to the year um you know he got cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii it is what it is Hawaii’s a bit of an odd one uh but since then he’s been T3 at the American Express T6 at the foreigners open uh a bit of an odd off week last
Week um you know he was only three under through the three rounds uh but he been playing some pretty good golf um I think as a guy who went to Arizona State as well again this is going to be essentially a home game for him I I
Think Kevin Yu is going to be the guy I’m watching to have a really good finish this week I mean if he’s in contention come Sunday all the Arizona State fans should be out there I mean you’ve got he’s kind of I mean with the departure of Rah and
Phil and Pap perz from the PGA Tour is he now just like the biggest name that’s come out of Arizona State that’s playing on tour 100% 100% um yeah I at top of my head I don’t think there’s anyone bigger like I think Rah and Phil definitely were the two
Biggest obviously Pap perz yes but like um yeah like it definitely has to definitely has to be him like for sure yeah I mean I’m I I I’m sure there’s other guys that we’re just kind of forgetting um I know Jared atah kind of Canadian guy who uh did play at um
Arizona State I mean Paul Casey um I don’t think really he’s moving the the needle anymore um you’re going to have a few other guys that are kind of playing some lower course or some lower um tournaments Grayson Murray kind of one of those guys uh I mean Grayson Mur is
Still do play well uh chz reevy you know a guy that you probably haven’t heard the name of in a while um so I think Kevin Yu is gonna kind of carry that Banner for ASU this week as you know that Sun Devil that’s playing at home
Game um so I’m gonna look for Kevin U to have a really good week this week yeah that’s I mean that’s never a a bad pick I mean I say I wasn’t I really I wasn’t really thinking of them when I was when I was looking at it but Thea
Gala like I I was with you on that one um really came down last year uh he had a great outing and I think again if if he can hold it in there I think Bans are G to back him he’s he’s he’s a great
Golfer I think he has a great future and I I wouldn’t mind seeing him pulling one off this week um and and I mean going into the the fan side of things um I really think like Ricky Fowler um I think this is like a course that he
Loves a course that he’s had um his ups and downs that he’s definitely had some success at with obviously winning the waste management I believe it’s 2017 18 something like that roughly around there um so it has been some time but he does have his win there I’m I’m
I’m hoping I’m hoping to see that Resurgence of Ricky um this is a course that suits him so um those those would be mine too I mean one other pick to maybe watch out for I’m not sure if we’re going to be like seeing him really compete on
Sunday I don’t think he’s there yet uh but Gary Woodland um guy coming off of brain surgery um hasn’t really had a super great year so far um but he’s playing this week uh I think this could be a course for him to kind of get some
Of the mojo back um you know nothing nothing about this course is like incredibly tough um again you’ve got some some holes that are going to draw your attention but nothing that’s really going to cause anyone to kind of really blow up I don’t think um so I think if
Gary Woodland just kind of allows himself to feel comfortable playing golf again I I think I could see him you know making the cut at least having a decent week making a a little bit of money yeah I definitely think he’s a smart enough player too to to not over try and overdo
The course just play the course you know what I mean like people like us who love to hit the driver everywhere we can you know he would probably play a four iron or two iron drive it out there and hit an iron in right like just play the
Course instead of letting the course play you um and I think he’s he’s smart enough to to do that and he’s been around for a long time time um again like you said he had that brain surgery so it is good to see him back like back
On the on the tour and and back playing I I mean I don’t think anyone would hate to watch him win this week if he was to pull one off that’s for sure exactly I mean in talking about guys that have been around for a while that uh we
Wouldn’t mind seeing a little bit of payoff uh I mean we we’re going to finish this week then head back to California for the riv event Genesis open where uh there might be a tiger sighting the goats the goats let’s go I’m jacked about this I am I mean I don’t think
Anyone it’s not a surprised how much I love Tiger Woods um my obsession of golf and tiger together is absurd but um he announced that he was coming back next week and he was playing the Riviera which honestly isn’t a surprise because it’s his tournament um which is exciting I think it’s
Exciting for golf you will see viewership through the roof it is it’s it’s Tiger Woods um but with that comes uh he announced he’s launching his new line next week as well like he’s gonna show it off for the first time so yeah and this is where I really think
This is going to be probably the most watched Golf Tournament of the year I mean Waste Management’s going to set a pretty high bar especially we get a good uh leaderboard com going into the weekend but I think that event next week at Riviera we’re going to see some huge
Numbers on the weekend uh if tiger is able to make the cut I mean Tiger’s game you know we’re not gonna sit here and pretend like this is 2009 tiger um but like again it’s his tournament he’s GNA be around it would just make it even better if he’s somewhat in the hunt
Right even if he’s sitting around like 20th you know four five seven shots back whatever the case might be just having tiger on the weekend would make that event a must watch um just to see one how’s he doing obviously and two just what’s he wearing like there’s been
Hasn’t really been a whole lot that’s come out about this Sunday Red Brand um so I mean it I’m assuming everyone would expect to see Sunday red if he got that far um but like how much of it looks like Nike um are we going going to see
Essentially what looks like a Nike shirt with his logo on it is it going to be a bit of a different look to it is he going to go with the blade collar like I mean it’s going to be uh kind of an interesting one from at least the uh the
Apparel junkies that are out there and seeing what he’s wearing yeah I mean I’m excited I haven’t I haven’t bought any clothes yet for the season I’m definitely going to say this right now I’ll probably end up buying clothes once gets launched right I’m also excited to even see if it is Sunday
Red you know I know Taylor Made I mean Taylor May didn’t tease it someone got their hands on on the patent but like I want to see if that’s actually G to be the name if that tiger that logo that tiger logo they were popping everywhere
Is going to be Tiger’s logo um what it’s going to look like because like the tiger head that you know he used with Nike on on his shirt and and stuff was so in like so famous like I have a bunch of just t-shirts with like the tiger
Head here with the tdb and stuff right like I love that stuff so like seeing a different tiger like I’m not sure how I’m G to like it but I’m excited to see what it’s like um and and you’re right like I I read this crazy stat and I
Don’t know if you read it so Scotty shuffler has been world number one for 73 73 weeks I don’t know if you know this um if Scotty was to catch tiger he would have to be world number one continuously till I believe it was October 2035 yeah it was something like that
Just it’s a I mean the the tiger stretch at number one in the world is probably going to end up getting into the conversation of records that will just never be broken again no I mean we obviously there’s the you know the big ones that you’ve heard of um you
Know the complete games by sa young um the Yukon huskys women’s basketball 111 game win streak at home if anything I think that one might get broken one day um but I mean I’ll save that for another time um but I think the tiger you know the 12
Years in a row whatever the actual number is that he was consecutive number one in the world we’re never going to see that again there there’s just so much talent coming up that I don’t even if you were a prodigy coming up um you know let’s
Just call it a kid that’s eight years old right now who’s blowing out tournaments by 10 at eight years old yeah once he gets to college and starts playing against kids from around the world then it’s like okay is he still winning tournaments by 10 I mean not to
Say tiger won everything by 10 but I mean we’re talking about a guy who has multiple USGA championships when he was a teenager he won the world junor he’s won pretty much everything there is to win in golf I just don’t know if we have like maybe we just haven’t heard of anyone
Yet but I just don’t think we’re ever going to see it again no and and I agree like I I mean the the discussion of Jack and tiger tiger and Jack like we’re talking Majors but like Tiger has done something for the game of golf that no one else ever has and and
And I know like I think you and I are a generation that was lucky enough to be involved in golf when tiger came in and was so dominant right like these young these young kids who are like you know like we watch Rory on the TV a lot
Because right I watched PGA and Bo gets to watch him and and stuff and and Bo every time like Bo like Tiger’s the greatest golfer in the world ever to play and he’s like who right because like he he doesn’t he doesn’t understand he never got to watch it right like it’s
Like Wayne graty and Sydney Crosby and Conor McDavid and you know like we’re talking hockey but like you know tiger tiger in my opinion and saved golf right tiger made it a a sport instead of a recreational thing right like you had to
Be fit you had to you know it it was not just an old man’s game anymore it was a like you wanted to go out and compete to beat Tiger Woods to be the greatest you had to do these things if not he was just going to blow you up all the time
Right look at the way he won the Masters look at the way he won the US Open the PGA the open right like he he dominated a lot right and and even the guys who played against him you talked on like if you listen to like Nick FDO talk about
It or you know like all the guys on the panel and and stuff like that they’ll tell you straight up he’ll blow you away like as much as Phil and tiger had their beef right you to ask Phil now he’s like dude he he dominated right Phil would have a 100
Wins if you know if tiger wasn’t around yeah I mean if tiger was let run the theory of tiger just never got into golf right we would talk about Phil Michelson being an all-time great we would talk about Ernie Ells being an alltime grades VJ sing David dval like a
Lot of these big names that he played against when he was in his 20s and he’s blowing him out I mean the like the McDavid he brought up McDavid we had this debate at the store a couple days ago because obviously you know some Emon Oilers fans you know and
Emon o fans are just they’re about as bad as Leaf fans in my opinion but that’s just me um but they they were talking about like oh mcdavid’s like the greatest player ever and we brought up the numbers between McDavid and Crosby in their first you know equal amount of time and they’re
Very similar like if if McDavid goes on and has a 20-year career he’s probably going to break a few records like he’s a very good generational talent but he’s not greatest ever right he’s playing for the same organization that had Gretzky like you can’t compare the two no and
Like I mean you can ask Austin about this I had this this debate all the time I I think it and I mean this is a like if thej injuries didn’t happen but I still like if the injuries don’t happen Crosby goes down as the greatest
Hockey player ever right and and I don’t know about that I mean dude top oh top top three you’re gonna put him ahead of Messier yogger Lemieux I mean here here’s the thing Lemieux would be the greatest player if he didn’t get cancer Gordy how R hole I yeah 100% come on now
Triple gold Captain to I mean we can go on hockey for days but like anyways um like right now if we were to have a conversation about who I would say is the greatest hockey player now hockey’s a two-way game Nathan mckin is that right now
Right like I mean Conor mcdavis is the greatest offensive hockey player like he is so talented with that puck but his twoa game is so bad but other fans are delusional but uh I mean yeah like they’re generational Talent right like you know if we shift
Back to golf we’re like where we talk about this like tiger Rory tiger Anthony Kim right we talk about AK last week a little bit right uh tiger and Jordan Speed remember when Jordan went on his like hot run won the Masters won the Uso

Player Advisory Board and he was Adam it like no live is bad if Live players go we don’t want them back and now it’s like okay well John ROM goes okay maybe live guys should play the ryer cup maybe we shouldn’t be so hard on them if they
Want to come back I mean this has all got to deal with the uh the uh investment fund that they had going with the PGA Tour as well which now Jordan spe being the head of that player Advisory Board is now saying oh we don’t need this investment fund we’ve got this
Uh partnership with the Strategic Sports Group and now we’ve got this thing where you have Rory saying no I mean if the live guys want to come back because there ends up being a merger then they should be welcome to come back and speed saying we shouldn’t they shouldn’t be
Able to come back I mean his whole thing when he was initially asked really seemed like he was trying to pull something out of thin air to try and make a point it didn’t really seem like speed wanted to even be around that question which makes me really wonder

Could at this point right there you got your cam Smith you got you know they could play their way in but I think there you can’t just allow them back you can’t just give them BJ status right like and I get where Rory’s coming at
And I agree with the Ryder Cup I’m so over like the Ryder Cup being like well it’s just a PJ event well it’s not it’s not a PJ it’s sanctioned event right it’s a technically like a it’s a golf sanctioned event correct if I’m I’m pretty sure that’s how it works it’s
Still golf rankings yeah I mean there are world rankings Associated to it but it’s essentially its own entity because the PJ tour doesn’t have any anything to do with it PG of America who chooses the team um I don’t actually understand the full hierarchy of what the European team is
But it has to do with the DP World Tour and their membership um but I mean it’s kind of like the Walker Cup in that same respect right we’re talking about top level amateurs that get picked by their governing bodies to face off in aot like call it a friendly if you want
To call it that just in terms of like international sport sports that is it’s just the biggest thing in Gulf right yeah I mean we’re talking about you know for a soccer reference it’s you know Germany and Brazil will play a friendly once in a while but when they play in the World
Cup final everyone watches that because these are the two of the biggest names in soccer playing against each other and that’s just what it is for the Ryder Cup right there’s a reason the President’s Cup doesn’t get that same type of viewership because is just not the

Cameron Smith those are three big names that play in the President’s Cup a lot yeah I mean yaken Neeman is gonna be another one of those guys where it’s like he would have been on a President’s Cup he might not be because of Liv I mean that’s going to be you know later
In the year we’ll have to hear about that um but again this is just where golf is at right now it’s is there going to be a merger what does that merger look like are live guys coming back are is the PGA still going

And really important to the Ryder Cup to the President’s Cup and we need them there and I’m not saying like just let them back on the PGA but somehow you got to figure out how to allow them back into the Ryder cop the president’s cop and cuz we’re going them at the ma
Majors right like so why not see them at the President’s Cup and the Ryder Cup like it it’s silly to me that we’re still having to have that discussion and this just my this is going to be my kind of solution to the issue and this is going to draw some
Criticism by itself but if you were to give live golf world ranking points under some modified system that reflects the fact that they are 54 holes the fact that it is no cut Fields whatever the case is there and at least made it so that way they get world ranking points
Even if it makes it so that way those players are just kind of in the top 300 in the world and then they kind of go from there at least gives them the point to okay you’re still top 300 go play some of these tournaments get your
Sponsors exemptions do what you can to get into these tournaments if you have to Monday qualify it is what it is but then work your way back up the fact that you would have some of the best players in the world not being recognized by the system that’s supposed to spot the best
Players in the world is mind-blowingly stupid to me yeah 100% 100% like take away some world ranking points like you know cut them back a bit because it is 54 holes not 72 but figure it out because you know golf fans like us we we want to see the be the best
Players quotation that the best players um out there like we we do and at the end of the day I like we just want to see good golf and and I think we can all all agree on that do I don’t like watching live I don’t like you know the
Waste Management’s a good weekend for me to see the party you know the 16th hole the party weekend right I enjoy that but I’m still a traditional guy when it comes to golf right I’m I’m not big on loud music on the golf course and and you know
People can go at me all they want I’m not not a big guy for that I you know I’m I’m pretty much I like to walk I listen to my music on the Range I beyond time you know stuff like that right like I’m I’m a pretty traditional dude like
When it comes to stuff like that but Li live for me just doesn’t do it but you know um yeah you you gotta you got to figure it out so yeah again there just has to be a way to at least recognize the skill that’s on
That tour again if it ends up being a totally separate thing compared to the world golf rankings so be it uh I know there is another website that actually takes into account strength of fields average scores all that sort of stuff and like has its own ranking there um I
Forget the name of the site we’ll try to post it later um but like something like that at least gives credit um because it won’t be long before you know if John ROM plays two years on live he is going to be outside the top 100 in the world
And you cannot name 20 players that are better than John ROM let alone 100 no like he’s at worst in the top five like I don’t care like you know what I mean like I I’m I’m going to sit here right now and say there’s top five to me is
Obviously Scotty shuffler John Rory maroy Brooks Kea and any given day probably Justin Thomas right like and that’s that’s like in in my maybe in my little bubble I’m maybe missing some people but you know John ROM is top five any given day at at
