Played up ahead it didn’t connect with the rookie will kie and we have the possibility of a heavyweight battle right here delorier and Ry sizing each other up this started in warm up w you don’t see many of these anymore oh you don’t I was just thinking that

Reminiscent of the old days in this rivalry matter of fact Ray I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen a scrap like that in an NHL game and the crowd is going crazy well delorier is screaming to the crowd he’s cut over the eye him and the rookie Matt RI started

This in pregame warm-up right in front of me minutes each for fighting delorier skates over to Ry look he’s leaning over the red line he’s like he’s telling him we’re going to go he’s not asking him what he had for breakfast this went on for about 30 seconds and he and Ry both

Landed heavy blows and that’s going to take the two of them a long time to get their breath back I was thinking of it Sean when they were delorier was talking to Ry and I’m like man that must be pretty lonely you’re out there by yourself no one’s

Helping you and it’s coming early well it started early for Ry if you were with us last weekend The Stadium Series game against the Islanders

  1. So sick of people complaining about fighting in hockey. Cheap shit happens. Tempers flare. The occasional fight keeps all this in check. No other sport is like hockey. Not even football. If these guys fought all game every night i could understand. But they don't. It has its time and place.

  2. Rempe is gonna be a beast…already big fights, big hits. Desluriers knew he was losing so he slewed him down as he jersey'd him.

  3. Wow, great fight guys! That was unbelievable way to go! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ let’s go lightning!

  4. The NHL should just quit the bullshit and give cash bonuses for fighting, instead of penalty minutes. We all know what the deal is ffs.

  5. I love how people say "wooow that was a good fight, we want to see more of that". But when a player get injured from a fight, those same people say "oohhh this is bad… never nice to see someone getting injured that way". Lollll, what do you expect ? 😂

  6. Lol Rempe better learn how to keep his bucket on or he's going to have a short career. He's doing the full tour right now and it's not the punches I'm talking about it's how the vet's keep dumping him on his back every time. It's only going to take one crack of the back of the head on the ice to make him silly

  7. Rempe reminds me of that tall ackwardly bond villian Jaws & it's clear all Rempe does is try to fight. Just because he's tall doesn't make him a good fighter. Well done Deslauriers. Rempe who…. And btw I hate the flyers can't stand them hate the islanders & rangers as well but still only the bruins do I hate as much or more then the 3 first mentioned.

  8. Bullshit. These kind of fights almost NEVER happened in "the old days". Go watch a game from the 1960's. As soon as a fight began the linesmen were all over it. Now they "let them go!" If there were multiple fights then something like this could happen while the linesmen were tied up with the original fight. Single fights would last about three seconds, and then there was a bunch of sweater pulling..

  9. I know Deslauriers' face looked the worse of the two but I'm pretty sure Rempe felt that about 1000x more. Giving up 6" and all that reach means nothing to Nick, one of the last of his kind unfortunately. They'll always be scraps in the NHL but there's just not enough enforcers anymore. You know the kinda guys who rack up more penalty minutes than ice time. The kind that play for 20yrs and score 20 goals. Maybe I'm old but I miss the enforcers and the goons. I'm actually surprised the refs didn't jump in when Nick pulled Rempe's sweater over his head. God forbid someone have an advantage like say 6" and 40lbs.

  10. Easily one of the best fights I ever seen especially in this generation. Amazing we need more Rempes!!! 🎉

  11. Good fight and impressive by ND considering the significant height and reach advantage that Rempe has on him. Kudos to the young man as well as he certainly knows how to utilize that advantage as contrary to popular belief, just being a big guy doesn’t always translate to knowing how to fight.

I will say that based on Rempe’s first 5 games, he’s probably going to have to tone it back a bit as in today’s NHL, that old school style of aggression can cost him a lot of that $855K he’s making.

  12. I have no problem with fighting in the heat of the competition and game. But to challenge him before the game even begins, I don’t know. Did they have a history before this?

  13. could have owned him when he got the shirt over his head but did the right thing and pulled him down classy move

  14. Just an observation but have you ever noticed that in hockey fights everyone has a head of steel? These guys go at it like rock em sock em robots and nobody but nobody ever gets knocked out cold? UFC they go down like a sack of potato's but hockey players just get up and go to the box.

  15. HOLY FU*KING SH8T! WHAT A FIGHT geez I thought I was back at the FF in LA watching Wells or Macsorley & Tiger Will Shultz damn I do miss this & wow is Rempe lucky he didn't crack his skull falling backwards that was 1 dirty move by Deslauriers, Kings big man huge Ivanans (lasted less than a season) after falling exactly as rempe he hit his head (you could hear it all the to upper level) never played another game in NHL, massive concussion he was becoming so popular with us he fought just about every night.
