We haven’t talked about him all year but Brony James is a polarizing Prospect he plays for USC obviously um and he’s the son of LeBron James but you all know that but this is his first year of potential draft eligibility and he coming into this year he was one of the top
Prospects and since he’s been at USC he has been doing okay okay but there’s a lot of question about whether or not he should go into the draft this year or whether or not he should wait a few more years there was actually a clip from they interviewed LeBron about if they
Were really putting pressure on Ronnie to try and go this year into the draft and he says um it’s up to him it’s up to the kid obviously um we’re going to go through the whole process he’s still in in um in season now has a Pack 12
Tournament coming up and then we’re Breer last night yeah Heartbreaker last night overtime Heartbreaker last night and overtime uh we’re going to weigh all options and we going to let the uh the kid make the decision if he wants to I know it’s not Financial so let’s it’s
Definitely not Financial let’s go and when I saw the clip it seemed like it was pretty authentic and like they weren’t going to put a whole lot of pressure on him and knowing LeBron I do think he has the longevity that even if he doesn’t go this year he could still
Play at a high level for the next two or three maybe even more years so I just wanted to your guys’ perspective on Brony and his draft standing at the moment well just looking at his recent game logs he hasn’t been in double figures since January 17th that’s over a
Month uh from now and looking at those numbers and just the games overall for USC it’s been a lot of losing as of late so uh unfortunately for bronny it has not been the Freshman season that really anybody anticipated just maybe five or six months ago
And I feel like at this point it would probably be a mistake for him to take that next step at at this current point maybe USC makes a little bit of a late run and he starts playing a little bit better but I mean he’s averaging 5.7
Points on 36% from the field I if he wasn’t bronny James and his name was something else I don’t think anyone would be talking about him making the lead to the league yeah I think he had he’s had a tough year especially starting from his um heart
Condition that happened in the summer um which hurt to kind of put you behind the eightball teammates are getting practice getting used to each other and you started a little behind so I feel it’s it’s just hard to evaluate him at the moment especially because Isaiah ker went down right when
He kind of came back and that was a role change and for somebody who already didn’t have a lot of time to get ready for the season changing the role that fast like it’s hard to adjust to so give him a little I give him a little Grace
In that area do I think he could play in the NBA today I think he has all the skills to I think personally he needs to be a little more aggressive and I think part of that will come if they moved him off the ball more
I feel having him he’s not an arm ball guard at this moment in his career I think a lot of his better plays come off of and shoot off of running in transition getting the pass like the lob you caught the other night I think that’s more of his game and I don’t
Think that’s necessarily like level specific I think he could do that at any level just because of the level athlete and how good he is as a shooter which we saw him doing the McDonald’s game against the best kids in the country so if anything that’ll probably benefit him
Because the NBA is faster too but I do agree with what you said that he’s kind of more of a off ball guy right now um he’s a a great shooter now the numbers won’t go to show it but I think that he’s a better shooter than what the
Percentage the form is there yeah but I one thing obviously he’s not 68 but he does have his dad’s athleticism and so one thing too I would kind of like to see from him a little bit more is like I feel like he for a player with his cuz
He’s built like a tank like he’s 6’4 63 whatever but he still got that first in that athleticism to just go right at people so and I even noticed that during the hoop Summit in the McDonald’s last year I feel like he just kind of relies
On that jumper which is good but I feel like he also if he could get to that paint that would open up so much more for him yeah I feel like getting to the paint and just being more aggressive in general like um Gilbert Arenas tells a story
About how he was trading training him and sky Clark and sky Clark was just killing him until Gilbert said something and then he just seen a whole different side of bronnie I think if he can try to tap into that side as much as possible which I think is hard because his entire
Career he’s played as a role player like at Sierra Canyon even his senior year when he was probably one of the better players on the team he still was kind of deferring a lot and I get it like it’ll make him a useful piece I think when he
Eventually does get to the NBA because realistically at his size he’s not likely to be the star of team like most players his Si aren’t so I feel like it set him up for success in a long term but I think it’s also kind of causing his struggles at this current moment I
Feel like in his NBA projection I think he can be a Derek white one day I feel like he can have that same type of impact on the team be someone who really locks in on defense provides for spacing and can run the pick and roll when necessary and be handle the ball
Eventually he’ll be able to handle the ball for at least short St in the game I almost sometimes like to me obviously we don’t know him but bronny seems like a very humble person especially with how famous his dad is and how good he is I
Almost wonder if that has kind of been a detriment to his game and his development because with him being so humble I feel like that’s provided the space for him to basically become that role player whereas a lot of other dudes would probably be in his situation and
Say no I’m bronny James give me the goddamn ball like I don’t care if you’re Isaiah Coler like I’m bronny James so give me the ball I I wonder if maybe that mindset of his has led to this type of season so far I mean you definitely could say that especially Cameron talked
About it a little but last year too I know I was expecting him to really take off cuz all all the time he had been at Sierra Canyon he’d been surrounded by a lot of top players like Amari Bailey Brandon Boston um I know there’s others I’m just kind of forgetting him
But and then last year he was pretty much the best player on that team and he was still a pretty passive guy so I definitely think that in a lot of ways it does kind of play into how he is but I also think I just think about
LeBron and I’m not trying to make hypotheticals but I feel like if he were 6’2 or 63 you know you wonder if would he really have that same dominance if he weren’t you know the size that he is where he’s able to just fully you know take over games easily yeah I feel
Like definitely his mindset like it feels like someone just needs to tell him like Hey we’re losing games with the way you’re playing right now and you’re more talented than what you’re producing like if you look at his numbers he’s more he’s shown he can do
It at a different level like in the ew his senior year was a little disappointing as like you said I was expecting like a big production jump and he made a jump but it just wasn’t very sizable but the ebl year before that like before going into the senior season
He showed that like he could lead a team they didn’t win many games but he showed that he could be like a number one option on uh on a real team in like a real league so I feel that at some point like I would I’m I’m personally going forward in the
March I’m looking for a switch to flip like when is he going to get tired of losing deferring to these guys who he’s more naturally gifted than like Isaiah ker might be the one exception on the team but he has just a different level of athleticism than guys like Boogie
Ellis and Trey white like he’s just a different level of athlete than those guys are and like he has he has the game like he shows and flashes like eventually he has to get tired of losing and realize if he’s going to stay at USC
He’s going to have to be the guy like he’s going to have to be the guy to be the number two to ker at the moment and I think that brings up kind of an interesting point going in next year if he does decide to return do you guys
Think he’ll stay at USC I personally think it would probably be best for him to transfer it’s tough because if he does stay one more year at USC that guard room is going to open up a lot cuz Boogie will be gone uh Kier will be gone
So he will have pretty much the Reigns in that entire back court for USC uh but like you said it it’s been it could just be a thing where he needs to change of scenery maybe he goes maybe he transfers to Ohio State they bring in a
New coach after Chris hullman gets fired that was a program that was recruiting him pretty heavily um and that would I feel like the pr for that would be really good coming back to the state of Ohio um that would be a really interesting offseason story if bronny
James moved uh back to Ohio I don’t think that would necessarily help him a whole lot just because I I think for him it’s really mostly just mentality and like wherever he goes I think if he’s surrounded by people who are more talented um that’s not necessarily going
To help him um and even if he’s in a situation in a new situation I feel like he’s where the people are less talented I feel like it’s just going to kind of be the same thing where he’s trying to find his role in a new situation so I’d
Kind of like to see him just be in an already established situation where he knows his role knows what’s expected and can kind of take it to another level yeah I guess my reason for wanting him to transfer is because I feel like we’ve seen him as the number one guy at this
Point in his career like not to say this can’t change later but at this point in his career even when he’s the best player on the team sometimes he can be still a little passive so I think if I was advising him I would try to look at
Where has he been his best like when is he been his highest rated what type of team and that was on really talented teams and I think there’s now granted this draft isn’t the best but I think there’s like examples in his class of places I think he could fit in kind of
Like how Jared McCain he’s not the guy at Duke like he’s not the number one option he’s probably not the best player on the team but he’s been able to get on draft boards because they see how much he can do with how little he’s given
Yeah and I think if you put Bon in a similar spot I think he could do the same I think on a team where he doesn’t necessarily have to create the offense for other people or bring it up all the time like I I personally don’t think at this moment in his
Career that if you give him the responsibility of running the offense that he’ll SC bring out enough of that scoring side I think if you just tell him we need you to defend like at the best level you possibly can knock down catch and shoot threes and
Score when we need it I think that would be his best situation personally what do you guys think his ceiling would be if he started to take that mentality into every single game where I’m that guy like I think of another undersized guard in college that had that mentality was
Colin ston when he was at Alabama where there was a game where they played three on five because of all the ejections and that mentality carried Alabama into a game that they should have clear been blown out and they almost won it I I don’t know if he has that in him but
What would that ceiling look like if bron James if that switch did flip is this somebody you guys think is a lottery pick because of already the talent that He has just kind of boosted in terms of stats because of the mentality yeah it kind of sucks like
This is the year like if you were going to have a good year or at least have a solid year this is the year you want it to be because even if you’re not the most talented guy like this is a Lottery full of guys who probably might not get
In the first round in other years so like this is this would ideally be the year I think he’s definitely a lottery Talent like you look like there’s not many kids built like him that can jump like him while still being able to shoot and defend and as smart a player as he
Is so if he turned it up and just if he went into the game thinking we don’t win unless I play like I’m the best player on the court I think this I don’t want to say the sky is a limit because his height might be a limit but
Um I think you would definitely I think at his best he has all the talent and tools to be probably uh sometimes All-Star guard like I really believe that he could be a one of those guards in the league like maybe not a perennial Allstar where
He’s making it he’s a lock like a Damien l or somebody like that every year but he’s someone who would kind of like have the Drew holiday reputation in the league like this guy’s really really underrated he’s one of guys you don’t want guarding me and eventually that’ll
Lead to making him him making a few Allstar games and I think yeah I just really wish he would just play like that more like like if he just turned it up like he has all the tools necessary no I definitely agree with you I think I think we can all agree we’d
Rather like to see him stay another year and based on the way things are looking and if LeBron’s being truthful about how much free will they’re giving him then I think that in an ideal world that’s what we’ll see happen but um you ra I personally don’t think I would rather
See him stay if he’s going to stay at USC I think he should leave like go to the league I feel like the game just suits him better

I have no idea, and no idea what he should do. But LeBron's trying to get him in the league… he's not an NBA talent at least at this point.
Not even close
I like the content guys, thanks for the good videos!
I think he will need 1 more year in college, believe me I see a Ja type story coming.
Westbrook… Kyrie? All pros and superstars. What’s the argument about Bronny again?
