I’m embarking on the first round of the year with my complete bag of clubs after months of testing and taking on the farms a canyon Paradise in Southern California home to many T Pros will my choices prove to be a success or end in disaster okay we are about to embark on

What will be an epic round of golf I am slightly nervous because all I’ve been told by anyone who’s even visited here just a passing acain says it’s the tightest course that they’ve ever seen now playing with new clubs that’s often not the best recipe

But I have hope and I also have a couple of wonderful members shown me around with Jason and Craig brothers-in-law now they’re going to be appearing on camera every now and again because they’re excellent golfers and fine gentlemen so we’ll talk you through all these clubs

As we go around where we got fitted and how I came to the conclusion that these were the best options away with that middle bunker let the wind draw it around the touch say a pray I’m guessing it’s not that much of a dog like first hole in wrong hole okay I

Just want to see the eighth genuinely genuinely really nervous over that you were way faster than oh that was quick that was it I felt that now this definitely wasn’t meant to be the line in I’m currently on the eth hole 92 yds left I’m going to try throw it kind of

Definitely a course where you get rewarded for those good shots but if you’re offline wow this doesn’t actually look like it’s going to do a great deal here maybe a touch left at the end going to go inside right thank you like am I am I

Side of this Fairway will leave a good approach into a long deep green surrounded on one side by water and on the other by bunkers made of Birdie so apparently the rules are we come back to the hardest here on the golf course part five just got to kind of hug the left

Hand side a bit of wind left to right as well so is absolutely perfect thank you for saying that cuz that’s what I was thinking in my head but I didn’t want to sound too lot arrogant wow I I’m feeling it today like I’ve no reason to like history is

I need to go for it so it’s 240 back bunker fortunately it’s not like I’ve just got a completely new set of clubs and I have no idea how far my clubs go if you’ve not checked the fitting out make sure you do but I’ve come out with I think 12 different

Hybrids and Fairway Woods simply because what I want to do is pick and choose depending on course conditions you know do I need to put another hybrid in do I put a seven wood in do I take that outut strong 3w in I’ve got so many options

Now it’s ridiculous today I’ve gone for a fourwood a seven wood and then I’m trying out this kind of hybrid which is at think about 16° so it’s really meant for like a low bullet fly and so far I’m I’m really happy with these but I’m going to have

To spend so much time going through all the lofs to figure out the distances because that is something which I just don’t know yet so forward literally at that bunker on the left hand side if there’s a cut that’s fine please be good that back bunker is that that place is

Happy the six hole is a power for at 341 yards and it’s known as the shortest par five in all of California simply because of its difficult nature make this one of the toughest holes on the course trying out a new toy two hybrid 17° crank down

To about 50 I don’t know how this is going to turn out cuz this was one of the things that try was playing about and doing my fit in but it is designed for this purpose keep it a little bit lower find a fair way cuz this is very

Sits below the level of the player so this is just pound town down the right hand side let the wind bring it in a little bit fitting I have with this driver is maybe a lot more confident it’s just a bit flat one degree less so

Down at 8 and this was all part of the build my bag dri Series where I tested all the latest models and this one came out on top there’s a combination of distance forgiveness and accuracy it has everything honestly it’s very rarely Mick knows this like who’s filming and

Here isn’t it now yeah just a touch off the left par five ninth hole down the Fairway give it a whack pretty much straight down if it moves to left a little bit with this wind that’s fine go on that took a good kick ride actually

It I’m kind of think it’s 220 probably a little bit too much for the for rine With the Wind so I’m going to go new fav Club only got the seven wood out got got the seven wood out I’m going to go with that bunker to the left of the pin if it

Drifts it drifts if not fine it’ll leave me in a decent position just to get up and down go on that be good back Edge these Fairway Woods I’m absolutely striking them Christopher Trot Mr trotty golf thank you sir you’re a gentleman and a scholar looks like quite a big slope here all

The way downhill kind of moving in right to left Eagle chance but this might be an oldfashioned lag this one so fast so fast I I honestly don’t know I’m 50/50 if it will be just an absolute privilege to put on these every week or would make you borderline Psychopathic I

And that with these clubs is what I’m really looking for I want flight control my short game as far as like chipping and like short shots off dodgy lies isn’t great you know I need to put working with that and that would really matter what club I use but as far as

Control off the fairways and with spinny pitches for me vogi are the best and they’ve been the best for a few years now but I’m open to discussion let me know in the comments below if you agree the 12th is a long straight and narrow par five at

570 yards a good t-shot is absolutely essential to open up the green for a shot in two however a par on this hole is a good score par five I’ve play par five pretty well today uh wind it’s kind of off the left so would you reckon that

Yeah kick back to the right hand side not bad wind switched again it kind of feels down now was into a second ago 157 it’s almost like a wedge very confusing With the Wind I’m going to go wedge 157 pretty much straight at it good club that’s the bit middle of the green

Right to left Sun that starts to set such a bad P could not stop thinking about this Leaf what’s going what’s going on with me what’s going on what’s going on with my head I need some help come on trust your reader well made that very hard work all

Right come on I think you witnessed over the last few holes just like a slow breakdown in my mentality you know what I blame making me go for a run this morning run out of steam R out of energy not got enough this to burn

Anymore the 18th is a 488 yd par five with an opportunity for a birdie if the drive can clear the dog leg and the bunker which protects it there are lots of options to enter sand around this green so a well struck second shot is absolutely

Essential right so I’m going to aim with the back bunker let the wind draw it down yeah strong wind that now wow yeah it’s okay there yeah it’s okay it’s okay full speed slot back over there it’s okay so 5 by in 198 yards just going to

Try and hold this against the Breezer touch kind of aim right the flag I don’t want it to go left into those bunkers that’s the kind of Miss really pins on the left hand side as well come on birdie to finish I feel like I’ve let

This round slip away with just a real couple of smelly shots like real stinkers like kind of you stop off at a service station on the side of the motorway and you look at the toilet and you know if you’re going to go in there it’s going to stink that kind of smelly
