The 15-year-old son of Tiger Woods hit the links Thursday morning in a pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.

Charlie Woods had a 7:39 a.m. tee time at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, not far from his home on Jupiter Island.

Although Charlie Woods failed to advance, finishing 16-over 86, he’ll help the Benjamin School defend its state title in golf when the season starts next month.

  1. One of the best swings out there. But maturity and learning to deal with pressure is just experience. Score bad but experience great

  2. Most people would never shoot an 86 on a professional course, let alone at 15. This kid will be exceptional one day, all the haters can take a hike.

  3. Yipsy's Boy just missed the cut. So close.
Least the kid finished his round and humiliation. Unlike Pop at the Genny last week, who quit and called the fire department rather than miss the cut.

  4. 10 -15 shots and he's right there, awesome what a talent imagine if he had the financial wherewithal to afford coaching and practice he'd be unstoppable
