Ridder cup player ever and he’s now the captain of fireballs for live golf Sergio Garcia how are you Rick this is honestly the this is first off a dream country true to be able to get out on the golf course with you and to play 18

Holes is is beyond my wildest dreams to be able to shoot a cool video on YouTube it’s about to have a bit of a match nice perfect I’m excited so 10 shot I I start 10 on the par you start level par stroll Play No gim is nothing no gim is finish

Everything finish everything now we’re here at Spanish Oaks in Austin Texas your home Golf Course um and and I’m I’m this golf course looks spectacular by the way it’s nice it’s nice you you’ll enjoy it good it’s a good golf course couple of uh couple of long carries and

A couple of te’s so you’re going to have to give it a little extra but uh let’s see let’s see if I can be your first yes so far I’ve not a great record every match has gone down to the 18th but let’s see what happens to get Sergio

Would you like to te off first or would you like me to go whatever you want I mean you te off first my friend you want to te off first I love you to te off first you want to tell you about the tell us the hole yeah what we play in

The first hole here okay so this is a part five a little dog leg left for me I want to hit a little bit left of this tree in the middle here um today into the wind my struggle to get there in two probably won but uh uh yeah

So straight over that tree is good line rang is on the right obviously left is not ideal it’s in the in the sand yeah they’re uh I’m guessing the theme of the place is oak trees yes cuz there’s every single and is what and Spanish and the SP

Plenty enough you say that right there Sergio play well enjoy all right have fun let’s rip one off the first this is exciting everybody Sergio Garcia 10 shot challenge let’s go got to breathe for got to Cal the nervous this might be the most nervous you’ve ever been it’s there

It’s up there I tell you one thing it’s the most nervous I’ve ever been genuinely I’m to do you proud today I really am my heart is definitely beating out my chest that’s going to work left is it going to fade that’s perfect oh it’s absolutely perfect wow good shot Sergio thank you

Very very nice I’ll take it good luck for you that’s the line right so you can go yeah you can over that tree over that tree or yeah over that tree is perfect maybe just left but over the tree is perfect this tea looks like a a putting green I

Know it’s nice isn’t it it’s absolutely special carry go ah B it came out oh no I came back in oh just never moved to the right with a wind look like a good strike though I’ll be honest with you right now it was be honest with you right now considering

Genuinely I don’t know why this match I think I’ve grown up watching Sergio Garcia and to actually be out on the golf course with him that right there that single moment was possibly the most nervous ever been in my life to make contact I’m happy to find the

Bunker I’m not come on let’s start strong okay so a second my t-shot just found this bunker again if it the just the wind is off the left as well but it just didn’t actually it anyway I’m 320 yards away from this hole anyway so I

Would have had to lay up anyway so I’m just going to get out of the bunker put myself in a good spot I’ve just got this oak tree overhanging which I need to avoid so I’m just going to hopefully hit it through that window there get it back in

Play ah all right got the lip I was kind of like trying to hit it low anyway it’s I Know It’s Tricky with the tree you got to get it out but don’t H the tree trying to punch it through that Gap but took too much loft off all right

So I have about 270 into the wind into of the left little kind of heavy uh I don’t think I don’t think I’ll be able to get there but but I can get it close to the green so I’m going to hit 3-wood try to see if I can get it close

To the green and see if I can get up and down start with a birdie and cut some shots of of Rick oh th it good lucky yeah it’s okay just pass the cart path it’s fine okay so after my escape from the bunker not the perfect shot I’m

The same distance with you can uh you can can hit a lot more than that if you want to I just I I kind of if I went more for it as you might have seen on the driving range earlier those kind of little fiddly ones aren’t my favorite so

Back okay I’m going to lay back and see if I can then leave myself a slightly longer shot in perfect don’t want to go make any silly mistakes early doors just right at the flag from here okay it’s perfect just pop one down there okay four shot into this par five to be

Honest I’ve I’ve left myself a little bit too much to do 125 yards away slightly into Breeze green looks interesting looks like it’s kind of angled and then is it quite narrow as well um I mean you probably you probably have an extra eight or 10 yards behind

The flag but it does kind of go a little bit this way okay I’m just going to hit a little chippy now n take a fraction spin off hopefully good swing stay there catch a bit come down spin oh just over what’s there it’s just a little collection area if it would

Have been if it would have been a yard and a half two y shorter it would have come back a little bit and you probably would have had probably would had like a eight or 10 footer for oh trying let’s trying all right all right here we

Are hit a little r where I want it tricky tricky little shot here 53 yards well we’re practicing on the Range but obviously this is out of the rough so let’s see if I can throw it up there and stop it set sit sit sit sit spin oh you’ve done

Well uh okay you’ve done well there to stop so quick thank you CAU it nicely yeah nice shot birdie birdie look it is that’s that was a nice shot that cuz that was it wasn’t in the prettiest lie he’s got the you had to move the actual

Barrier where the golf carts can’t go um not much room to play with and he’s just flipped it up there left himself a nice little probably 10 foot or so for birdie I’m just off the green putting for five need to damage limitation needs to

Happen here I need to either hold it or no more than six Nice Shot thank you how did it get in there did it did it jum and then bounc and then just hopped in if I had have known I wouldn’t have hit it here I know they’re all hole you

Hit it in the hole but in the wrong one okay so nearest point1 CLP length my Ball’s finished in the sprinkler there which to some degree may have helped it because it could have gone down here towards that drain or it could have just missed it and mirander onto the green

Anyway I get one Club length no near the hole free drop it’s probably not going to stay on its point so I’ll have to drop it a couple of times maybe okay yeah closer to the hole yeah so place it just place it yeah plag in uh yes please

Okay okay so I’m going to give this one a little bit of a read cuz if looks dicey okay so just coming off The Fringe here grass is so nice everywhere that it’s it’s going to be slick anyway as it gets over this hill it’s going to be

Rapid and then we just work out which way it’s actually going to break it’s going to move right okay let’s get the speed right just down that Hill Let It Roll Down Let It Drop close outside chance of power on the first good looking part hang on oh it’s quick holy

It’s quick I honestly didn’t think I’d hit that I honest I know as soon as it goes low it just keeps going all right I got downhill left to right part looks like it’s going to move quite a bit obviously it’s very quick as you just saw Rick that was rapid so let’s

Let’s see if we can start the right way come on baby it’s could be a big swing already big swing this drops in oh man sh ah just a little too hard it look like as soon as you hit that I thought it’s not going to get to

The hole that was so fast right testing put for me here on the first not the start I was dreaming of when I woke up this morning so pretty much dead straight up the hill though that is a poor start that’s a double bogey on the first

Oh seems to have a bit of a tradition of making double on the first in these challenges Dam dam D Dam not much here for me just up on right yeah wow the the the deficit has already been narrowed I am now gone from 10 under to 8 under Sergio’s level

Par why do I do it hey first all every time near enough that was a tough put though from there damn feel like I just it’s the first hole the opening hole sometimes you know it’s a mad you you would have probably well I’m pretty sure you’d have

Experienced it where like it’s a different psychological like if you go into a final round five six shots ahead you like play it a bit differently but you shouldn’t do should you yeah it’s the mine the mine is is funny but you should be you should be playing same

Aggressive way that you play any other day and you’re trying to but yeah you kind help yourself by saying oh okay let’s not make mistakes it’s easy to think that way okay so your second hole what we what we got second hole part four here it’s pretty much

Straightforward um you got a couple bunkers on the left side uh Fairway opens up a little bit on the right the fourth hole it’s a bit farther right okay um and then it kind of dips down and goes up into the green front of the green is very very steep so if you

Don’t get it at least 10 or 15 yards on it will come back of the green and the pin looks like it’s on the back right on that little on that little show so it’s good good hole driver it is yeah good ball oh A1 yes baby perfect Mr bunkers no it’s

Perfect that boun a little right spot on great Drive Happy Days there you go okay back in business okay nice t- shot there um Sergio’s done me by good 20 20 30 Ys he really hit that one well right come on 150 156 yards I feel like the wind’s helping if

Anything and I don’t want to go long by looks of things CU that pin is very very very tucked back right so I’m going to go just left of the flag Leave myself a nice look at birdie I don’t even think it’s a a full 99 I want to land this probably about

145 yards in my head be fantastic oh oh man straight over the flag okay okay it’s not a bad spot but how was that I’m surprised that’s gone so far yeah I I did you play it into the wind I played with the wind helping

Okay yeah it uh looked good I thought it was all over loose or something thought that was absolutely all over it it was the shot I wanted to play all be not meaning to go quite for the flag directly but just landed 10 yards too long the wind definitely pushed that a

Lot further than I expected probably carried about 160 yards that all right I have 122 yards definitely some wind helping good pin there on the right side small little spot so I’m going to hit my 52° not a full one just a comfortable one let’s see give myself a birdie

Look yeah nice shot it’s good just a tiny bit short but doesn’t look okay walking up to the green luckily luckily luckily as much as mine did carry a bit longer than I expected it has clung onto the back Edge there or it could have got real dicey

Going down that Hill thanks Sergio got you um yeah I’m surprised that 99 went so far anyway this is this isn’t a bad part as you can see the Autumn Spanish oak leaves are starting to scatter down there a few on the green there which I

Might need to move in a minute but that’s have a little read um it’s going to be fast off this first bit of the downhill this bit here and then it’s fairly fairly flat not too much in it I feel like this is going to be a wasted

Task yeah they’re going to blow they’re going to blow back and they one gust of wind and they’re all going to come back can’t help a guy for trying can’t blame him okay got a little pathway there all right this will be a good bounce back after that first put these greens

Are scaring me a little bit so give it plenty of respect what oh no when’s it stopping please make it stop eventually I’m not I don’t think I’m used to these screens at all not even a little bit oh man so I got a little bit looks like a little downhill a

Little left to right but see if we can get some birdies going I’m going to need them against this guy how fast would you say these greens are today Sergio um I would say they’re probably they’re probably around 13 they they’re unbelievably fast looks good hang on sit sit oh

God there’s no going for puts is there today man they’re just rolling out aren’t they okay this is for path long way longer than what I wanted it to be uphill left to right come on be I need I need a I feel like I need a confidence boost inut

Early doors here just to come on roll it in there y get the grips of these greens oh my goodness good part oh power Li out I might lose all my shots in the first five at this right so fast need to really think about this I need to thing

Is I’m trying to force the puts in but you just can’t force them in you’ve got to all right tickle them tiny bit of right to left uphill yeah well done well done thank you right I get in this is not the bogey put length I expected on this hole

All right okay ah that was a disappointing three put from the back Edge there I’m now 7 under Sergio’s level path dropping shots quick his greens are oh that was crazy sck okay third hole here beautiful path three 194 yards pins at the back it’s down Breeze it looks like it looks like

A more generous Siz green I’m guessing long isn’t your friend Sergio no long is long is not great with that flag 194 little bit down wind I’m going to hit 7 iron oh be good oh get there it’s looking good oh nice shot really nice shot thank you perfect distance control take it

Okay right between six and seven but I don’t want to go long so and after the last hole I feel like I’m a bit hesitant so I’m like I’m going to go seven I’m going to chase one up there little draw one ride the wind oh good swing chase a bit hang on

Right there yeah Beauty next to L you’re going to give me a read thank you okay it was a smid on the thin side but we’re on the green puting so Sergio busy busy wheek for you cuz you’ve got obviously this big match up but more importantly this week you’ve got your

Foundation off of that right yes we’re doing um our our event is called uh for kids ATX we do it with uh the Serge Angela gcia foundation so uh super excited about it uh a lot of great organizations that we’re supporting uh four of them and um yeah we uh you know

We did it last year and it was it was big success obviously a lot of the guys a lot of the fellow professionals came and helped and and um and that obviously was was massive and uh this year it’s uh a little bit more of the same it’s

Amazing and it’s for four great causes you’ve got a hospital right Municipal Golf Course here in Austin you’ve got um I love that one the anti-bullying campaigns ugly ugly yeah youli my wife’s Foundation yeah and what was the fourth one again the fourth one was forer Village for forer parents amazing I mean

Four really you know incredibly important um Charities and and Foundation that you want to help support and are all those kind of fall very close to your heart too yes they’re we’re uh we’re very connected to them uh obviously D’s Dell’s Children’s Hospital uh very very important to us and and

It’s one of the the best children’s hospitals in in the country and uh funny enough we had to take our our son last year shortly after uh after doing uh after doing our event because uh because he had a fial seizure uh at school school so took great care of us um so

But he’s doing great uh so that one is one of them obviously Foster Village uh fostering fostering families and uh parents um so that’s uh that’s very very very close to our hearts too because we have some some friends are forer parents yeah um Lions Municipal Golf Course here

In Austin uh very very interesting and a place so beautiful uh right in the in the heart of of a I love the name of it Lions Municipal so cool uh and and then obviously like you said agly Foundation my wife’s Foundation anti Bing foundation so we’re um you know we exced

Is I think round here as much as the greens are very very fast they are and I’ve mentioned that a few times already the fact if you miss on the wrong side they obviously get faster if you’re leaving yourself with downhill puts this is the first time I’ve left myself with

A nice uphill birdy opportunity here on number three okay right to left up the hill I’d love to get a shot back early doors here after not the greatest start in the world so you’re assuming that you’re going to make it I’m going to miss it I

Just want to I’m almost focusing now I’m zoning in on my own getting back to 10 under that’s my goal I want I want you to get chasing me you get to 10 you get to the there you’re doing you’re doing well I if I get back you have a good

Chance okay come on nice roll on this it’s like you’re putting on glass Rick remember that oh catch the hole C it I cannot get this I honestly felt like I hit that halfway W and really need to adjust these greens fast did you straight the

Face did you know that was fast then well I mean as quick as they are it kind of that part kind of goes up but then kind of goes a little down here yeah so I knew it wasn’t going to stop very quickly see much in it not much I think

Maybe off inside left ah I pushed it hard lines hard l a little good for a long time yeah three safe passs to start okay for my first PA just on that right Edge ring yes okay okay that setts the nerves of fraction all right this is the Beast hole fourth

Hole here at Spanish Oaks it’s a par four at 515 yards off these te’s and it’s into Breeze you got quite a big kind of Valley to get over off your t- shot 250 to get to the Fairway hopefully I can and then it’s downhill left

Downhill left is it it it goes a little bit it’s fairly flat but it goes a little bit uh dog leg left yeah okay wind is into of the left so you are you taking on any of that bunker or not with this win today I don’t think I don’t

Think I can carry uh I might be able to carry the very right side of it so uh I’m going to try to hit it just just right of that okay ah get right cut ball cut no too straight Banker that the first one or the second

Yeah no the first one okay all right now second one is like 300 yards yeah 300 yards okay Rick good Drive needed Fairway needed wind just for a moment feels like it’s dropped so Now’s the Time to hit hang on okay there’s an opening there yeah is

That just kind of towards the second hole uh yes you’ll you’ll probably have a few trees on the way but uh there’s an opening there where you’ll be able to swing fine ah overcut it yeah it’s going to be tough to get it to get it to the green but kind of

Playing as a par five anyway to agree you’ll have a shot from there this is a really really nice golf course mhm I said I’ve not been to Austin before I’ve not been to Texas before and I wasn’t yeah I wasn’t sure what the golf would be like I’m guessing in

Certain parts of Texas it’s much more desert based is it not I mean not quite like um Austin is is you know they call Hill Country you know so it’s it’s got a lot of like little Hills that go around and it’s not really deserty you know

It’s obviously it’s dry in the summer and stuff but it’s uh but you have a lot of trees and and grass and stuff like that so it’s not it’s not like Arizona or something like that yeah cuz that it’s really dry don’t over there okay

Got a little bit unlucky really I ha an old okay struck t- shot uh faded a little bit to the right granted and then it’s either I think it’s hit that tree and actually bounce right back here it’s not ideal into a long PA 4

Basic Sergio just said to me I need to hit it around about 100 yards and just play for the three shotter kind of got I’ve kind of got an aerial Gap there where I could maybe hit a sand wedge or I’m trying to trying to basically cut CAU a five IR round

There we see what the five IR looks like okay I’m going to go with this one I’m going to try and cut a five iron doesn’t have to be a long shot I just need to get it kind of fading a little bit get it through these branches hopefully

CH yeah not quite the cuty shot I was hoping for but I’ve chopped it back into play Ah that’s What’s happen Sergio I’m not in a great spot but do I want to be very aggressive or ah come on we didn’t come here to lay

Out what how the hell are you going to what club’s that fivewood okay I got two uh 225 into the win I feel bad for chipping out now this is a crazy shot five would out of this this is risky but he’s an Entertainer oh caught it sit

A damn that was a brave shot ah I know would have looked good if I pulled it off but you’re an Entertainer okay third shot into this very brutal Par Four like I say almost borderline par five but uh up and down for bird up and down for p

180 yards six IR in hand just slightly into brid pin you can’t see it’s just just hidden behind the branch of that oak tree I don’t think it’s a full one of these either I think it’s just a nice one nice six iron Leach right okay that’s going to come back a

Little bit left yeah it’s pretty good it’s actually getting closer and closer yeah it’s not bad at all yeah it just leaks I’ve got that don’t worry I got it no thanks Sergio never did I think Sergio G replace him my difference y everything baby that’s life he tough huh tough real

Tough all right I got a little bit fortunate here you know Fortune Fortune goes to the brave I guess it wasn’t the smartest shot but still have a a chance here to hit a good shot I have 146 yards into the wind of

The left see if I hit a good shot I can still Salvage a great par yeah you’ve done well there to avoid trouble yes oh be good get right a little right a little oh it’s on the bank see on the it’s on the green up on that hill just a

Little past that’s a great yeah it’s a tough it’s a tough one it’s not like the biggest throw in the world is it it’s not is it and it’s not you know even the even the little Hazard at the front there yeah no it’s a good good

Stronghold all right got some big pots coming out M massive yeah okay this is a very very very long and test inut it’s it’s got Hills hollers and it’s a real big certainly as it gets to the hole really swinging left and what I found so far if you’re

Leaving it on the low side it’s only moving further and further and further away from the hole just cuz how fast the greens are ah want it to be a little bit closer here for my third shot anyway let’s see if we can make a miracle happen stay high Stay High pretty good

Yeah good effort I’m very happy with that I am CU that that could have uh that could have easily slip down that Hill I best go mark it quick before it it moves anymore all right so I got about a 25 footer here poar big breaker left to right it’s probably

Breaking like 6 feet you can take it out thank you should should be speedy as it uh as it starts going down the hill there so got to be a little bit careful let’s see this would be an amazing one to make this would be a hell of a

Four oh my God the wind oh no that gas was perfect wasn’t it that literally as Sergio put it there a gust of winds 20 or 30 of miles per hour just kicked in perfect guest oh my God that really did it’s it’s like someone just

Turned on the fan and then turned it off again well that was close easily done though all right uphill R right to left come on right look in need this one yeah oh there you go you are kidding me always look like a tooth

Pet just what I thought I I in my head I thought there’s no he’s going to hold this I just knew it that was a great foot well done well salvaged thank you right straight up the hill nothing much to it yeah well then I’m happy with the two

Put from back there yeah what’s with the uh so uh in 99 2000 Scotty CA made me some uh prototype potters and uh like I used it at the r cup I used to had the PGA Championship in 99 when I finished second to tiger and uh and I’ve been

Looking for them and I I didn’t know where I put them and stuff finally my dad found them in our shop in in Spain like uh two months ago so I so I got them back so I have like five of them two Center sha ones

And and and too with with like a little bent little bent neck so they they literally got found in your dad’s shop you didn’t know where they were yeah they were they were in the back of the shop and and he found them for me so

I got them back I uh and I’ve been looking for them for for a few years oh God so uh good memories so it’s nice to yeah nice to have them and put them back in play what is this place this is unmanned this is heaven

Oh my what you got everything you need here look at the fridge yeah you got are you kidding me you got eggs you got egg like uh chicken Chien chicken salad fruit you know cheese eggs ice creams yogurt ice creams you want you want an ice cream oh my God right thanks for

It goes downhill a little bit it’s not a long Hole uh like a drive and a wedge um let’s go oh right it’s cting nice right yeah that’s fine that’s going to work okay right next the Sergio I’ll be happy hey hang on oh stop cutting stay in the air stay in the

Air ah uh okay I think the good thing is you’re short of the hazard but you’re not going to see you’re not going to be able to see anything cuz it’s quite down that was a good that was a good shape but it didn’t quite hit the middle of the club

Face okay it’s a shame really cuz I it’s not a bad shape t-shot but just cuz I Ain quite catch it it just never got up up up onto that Hill um it’s a blind shot I’ve done my best to work out the distance I think it’s 165 yards to the

Flag short of the green is a big Bank I’ve got to really carry it over that bank according to Sergio or land it short with lots of run to get it over the bank okay I’m going to go 9 iron soz I’m going the front of the green is

150 so I want to I want to land it there really and I’m just going over the corner of this bunker pretty much come on it’s going to be a miracle shot but let’s pull it off oh Vis it left you hit it 40 yards left I

Know that dead uh we I mean I I got to look at it but you should hit a provisional just in case okay that wasn’t good with the ball beam so below my feet I kind of pulled well I overcompensated and pulled it so I’m going have to do a provisional

Okay we’ll find one of them all right I got 135 yards little bit downhill a bit downwind going to hit my 52 let’s see if we can make the first birdie of the day that should be really good thank you I I’m pretty confident that I’m going to

Be able to find your first ball I got a good look at it the second one when a little left hit the tree bounc in the carpath and went in the and went in the high grass all right come on we’re going to find it it’s lit though okay perfect right uh

We found it I feel like there’s lots of golf balls left in here because either one people don’t hit it ER very often or there some sort of like snakes or something okay got to be confident with this one it’s got to be a perfect strike sit sit

Sit should have done better from there as much I got a lucky break and I’ve not really capitalized on it okay kind of given a Lifeline up there on the hill and and I just didn’t capitalize on it I want to make sure I got it out there so up the hill pretty
