Roto Ballers we’ve got ourselves a roto baller PGA show kind of for the Mexico open this week right after a hot Genesis Invitational we got Joe nicely jumping from Joe ion’s preferred line show right onto the RO baller PGA show guys’s doing back-to-back root baller show appearances because we love him that

Much and he loves us back too so Joe thanks for joining the show your inaugural appearance on the illustrious the combustus Ro balla PGA show yeah man I’m happy to be with you I’m I’m just the Mexico man um Spencer came down with the Mexico open flu so I’m uh I’m the

Pin [ __ ] I’m always in the bullpen so don’t have to leave anything in the in the tank just throw gas tonight baby hey whoa so we’ve got Rick run good running in the background give me two seconds I don’t know what’s this happened to me the last time I think my guest sometimes

Triggers my Siri and it just goes crazy on me it’s happened now twice apologies for that um he caught me way off guard there I was about to say nothing left in the tank kind of like ADI did last week I have a if people have been watching this show

You know my take on ADI congratulations to Dei who had his first top 10 since the players of 2023 being a win so I will own that I did not see him doing what he did he only gained like I think two strokes on approach the whole week

But did the rest with around the green play and just continuing to be a wizard around the greens the ball striking was not there and someone that relies on that is typically not going to find him on my card but I will take a Victory lap about saying the two guys that I’ve

Mentioned the whole time it’s xanda and Cy I know you and and Joe Adon spoke about this I’ve said especially with Xander one of the most talented golfers there are but one of the worst competitors on the on the p DJ T relative to their their Peak Performance

And I think there’s just there’s just a way like I’m just betting this guy top 20 non-stop because that’s what he’s going to be cashing and I’m not going to waste my money on any outright bets for them because it just never comes to fruition there’s two guys Joe I do this

Thing where I do a rolling 12mon thing that I put in the PJ stat Buffet by the way people code new as you can see right behind there on Joe nicely screen he’s he’s new on the show you can’t see actual word new behind him but just know

That Joe nice is new on the show and new get you 30% off there at rotoballer.com for all our premium stuff man we’ve got a lot to offer out there Joe yeah it’s a great deal that’s what I was talking with Joe about we uh we plan

On just doing it for the first week of the season but so many people are using this code that we just want to keep pumping it out there you know let people grab that uh Amazing Savings I think it takes it down to like between six and

Seven bucks a week for the rest of the year so so um you can head head over to rotoballer.com use that promo code new when you sign up access to your stuff Spencer stuff my stuff Joe Adon stuff we got mik Miller does live over there Ian

McNeil’s doing amazing work so um just a great team uh we think you’ll uh you’ll find it more than worth the price so uh go over there and check it out use that promo code new save 30% I don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to run it yeah

No like you said we we planning on doing it end of the the century and then you know it really got some good traction and people really enjoying it and we’ve really seen people jump into the Discord with us and and all that jazz too so it’s really been fun to see everybody

Show up and and really appreciate everyone that has signed up and those that will in the future I think it’s a great deal at $17.40 per month if you kind of do that situation there so that’s what’s cooking on that front the discussing Brothers continue to just be

The bane of existence there on the outright side of things things it’s a it’s an interesting situation to talk about those guys but if you want to hear Joe’s take on all of that go watch the preferred line show we’re going to speak about the Mexico open it’s going to be

An expedited show tonight I got my bur ride shirt on this is a a long sleeve shirt that I do every Satur the first Saturday of every February no matter what the weather is in Iowa I’m on my bicycle riding through the cornfield so I’ve got that rocking it’s kind of blue

And then we’ve got the orange hat going because why the hell not so we got the Mexico Joe it’s a fun week we got some for the first time in a while we’ve we’ve seen DFS and DraftKings do this where they’ve we haven’t seen Scotty Sheffer at 12K for the longest of times

Now all of a sudden we go to the Mexico open and and Tony fow’s 12K but we got a whole bunch of guys in the 5K range I think I looked there’s 89 golfers that are sub $77,000 this week so I’ve entered into the 150 Max I kind of

Tailor my my contest selection based on on how I feel I understand the slate and where the majority of the performers will come from these these designated events I kind of do single entries three entry Maxes a field like this I feel like the more fingers you can get in

This this Mexico pie the better so take give me your take on this week’s contest selection on this week’s slate on how you want to approach it and also at the end of that give me one key stat that you’re kind of focusing on this

Week yeah I love that uh I love that approach this week Byron it’s it’s kind of a textbook perfect like large fill gpp week just take some shots try to take down a big score um when I was talking with Joe I’ve been doing this for six or seven years and my experience

Tells me that on a slate like this um we’re going to see ownership really get concentrated it seems like um the same stats pop for everyone um the same players pop for everyone kind of in in this sort of water down field um we’re going to see DFS players gravitate

Towards uh the same guys this week so it’s a really really interesting week to tackle some gpp stuff I think you can really Leverage The Field this week um so so I like where your head is I think that’s a great a great approach to take

To DFS this week um and these events can be fun man there’s you know obviously we don’t have the star power that we saw last week but uh you know it’s been been kind of crazy long shots winning every week anyway so let’s let’s just roll

With it and do our thing um the one stat that sticks out to me I I’ll do a one a and a one B that’s driving distance and that’s uh long iron play um I’m looking at you know guys that can carry the ball a long way off the te um when this

Started when this tournament started a couple years ago that’s that’s what we thought this golf course would be and and it and it’s been that way so we got that right we’re looking for bombers guys that are super long off the te um and the amount of shots coming from 200

Plus yards this week uh drastically spikes Against tour average so um I’m looking at guys that are really good from 200 plus yards we got three par 3es of over 195 yards uh which plays into that a lot a lot of long par par fours

Um and of course guys trying to get on and two on par five so driving distance Long play boom I’m right there with you I think 80% of shots coming from 150 and out you know so you can kind of slice that kind of long iron play as much as

You want but you’re not going to see a lot of wedges that’s for sure this week so that’s kind of how the field and the the course sets itself out I typically ask Spencer Joe recent form or course history is a question I typically try and isolate in the early part of the

Show to kind of get a feel for where where Ka can can lean into I think the course history at the this venue you do the horse for the course article I typically always retweet it with the the daa golf course history probability or or reliability scales you know the

Little chart there and this week’s not necessarily the greatest week for a course history to lean into that you can always have a person that is a good course fit which I think is what we’re going to be leaning into a lot more this week so would you lean into a bit more

Course history or bit more recent form this week Joe it’s really tough this week Byron it’s it’s kind of a really weird week from both angles because we you know we’ve got a a teeny tiny super small sample size uh of two years um this this event’s only been existence for two

Years so we’ve only got two go arounds this golf course which in you know evaluating course history is is nothing it’s like one sheet of paper in a notebook um so there’s there’s just not a lot to go on from course history I like your thoughts on maybe leaning course fit

And of course it is kind of nice if you can grab a guy that’s seen the golf course um and from a recent form perspective honestly this field is so is so bad that there there’s just not going to be a lot of a lot of good recent form

So there’s not a not a lot of guys you can fall on uh from from recent form and the the course history is tough because it’s such a small sample size so yeah I’m with you I think if there’s a guy making his making his Mexico open debut

This week that she feels a good course fit uh don’t be scared to pull the trigger there boom I love that and just to add to that I tweeted out earlier today I I’ll get to a guy down here in the in the $6,100 range that I really

Like but my corn faery 45 article is now it’s the per I know I released it to start the year for the Sony but now is the year I realized that I have time sorry I said now is the time to look that article up we we planning to bump

That to the homepage this week yes because I said 37 of the 45 guys in that article there’s now only 44 rip arrian [ __ ] but 37 it’s now 40 it’s like 40 of the people 41 of these guys that I wrote up in that article are playing this week

Because the field is so weak all of the priority rankings are now getting these guys into the field and they haven’t played a lot of tournaments so you’re going to be relying on what they did on the corn fairy tour in that article you can see recent form long-term short-term

Trends you can see how they play on different types of course difficulties medium hard or or easy you can see just about every metric that they have for like basic stuff like driving distance I think driving distance is going to be Paramount importance this week and

Putting so you can see what the guys can get up to there and use that article to really kind of differentiate yourself when finding guys to put into your big multi-entry contest this week so just throwing that out there it’s completely free the cheat sheet I dropped in the

Discord that’s going to be for for the Discord members you know use code new there and you can filter in and use all the information that’s in the free article just in a handy handy cheat sheet there in the Discord so I dropped that there this morning so that’s out

There just some housekeeping stuff in the middle of the show let’s get to the top of the board you we said Tony fena 12K I Joe have a Tony fena 18 to1 ticket and honestly I was waiting for odds to drop this morning so that I could cash

That ticket out I had a $55 beted on him because I I thought 18 to1 was just ridiculous like at the start of the year and then Tony feno decided to forget how to putt and the odds are still s and a half to one six to1 whatever you want to

Look at and I could have got a $95 cash out and I was sitting on the airplane on the way back from Nashville last night and I wanted to cash it out but I said no I’m going to wait for the odds to like recalibrate themselves and then

I’ll cash out at a better price they won’t let me cash out this week because of the week has started now so now I’m in on the Tony fenale situation and I’m not sure how I feel about it so hit me with your take on Tony at $12,000 are

You playing him or are you not well man you’re in a you’re in a great spot with that I have to say if I if I was holding an 18 to one Tony fenale ticket I I probably wouldn’t have considered cashing out so um I like that you got I

Like that you got forced into the sweat so we’re gonna make you earn it this week um what you do with what you do with Tony’s probably going to determine your week this week it feels like um because he’s he’s certainly the class of the field um you know we’ve seen him

He’s played this event twice he he won it last year he finished second the year before and when he came into those came into this event in those years Byron the form wasn’t great I mean you can go back and look at his finishes leading up to

Um his runner up finish he didn’t have a top 10 that year um same thing when he won won last year wasn’t playing his greatest Golf and and honestly didn’t play his greatest golf after this after he won this event last year so um I’m not too concerned about Tony’s form um I

Think he’s still going to be formidable this week um will be a force on this golf course and actually when you look at his metrics the putting’s been really bad uh but the T the T green play um is kind of popping a little bit when you

Dig into Tony um so you know there’s some things to lock there um you certainly can play him this week um it’s you know with all these affordable golfers you mentioned um you know guys below 6K just a ton of guys below 6K and Below

7K um so you you don’t have any problem playing Tony this week if you want to it’s it’s one of those things I’m probably GNA have to wait and see where ownership shakes out um just if he gets nuts at 12K then I won’t I won’t be

Scared to kind of kind of pivot away but uh I mean I think he I think he’ll be out in the thick of things this week again I think you spot on with that analysis Dej I think it’s going to be a wait and see situation with Tony Fen now

We got Clint in the chat here asking if you should bet Tony fow for a top 20 or a top at minus 200 I know a lot of PJ BS don’t like to go to the to the negative odds type of world I think Tony fow’s Ball striking

Is just so good right now in a field like this the top 20 bet just seems like it’s almost I don’t want to like use the word automatic but it seems like if the pter still is a little disobedient which we’ve you know come to come to terms with

Tony he he can still ball strike his way to a top 20 quite easily in this kind of a field you know there’s going to be other guys that will beat him out with the putter but I think minus 200 is not a bad option for Tony fena you know on

The pj2 he’s doing that about a quarter of the time and I feel like it in this field that you can double that so I feel like that’s that’s kind of or triple it you know like I think this is this is a field that he’s typically always beaten

Up on easy fields too right that’s kind of Tony fow he’s the big bully of of the PJ T nicest guy in the world but he doesn’t mind picking on a little scrawny field every now and then and I think that’s going to be fun to watch this

Week um Brian England says yeah 18 to1 is a nice bet I love that too we dropped it in the Discord it was early in the year and he might fed him in DFS I agree I think I’m I’m probably Le in that direction I’m overly exposed to Tony

Already now at 18 and I bet it like a major because I felt like that number was so so wrong I just so I’ve got barely got like three or four other guys on the end of my card so we’ll chat about them here shortly but I think I’m

Also out on Tony in the DFS Market I think it’s going to be so difficult at 12,000 and with the putting concerns I just don’t know how trusty he’s going to be for me so we’ll kind of lean into some other guys here in the 10K range we got emelan guo Joe nicely

Emilano is $11,100 on the DFS slate this week we’ve got Nikolai hoard thoron Allison Thomas dietre in the 10K range so someone in this range is going to probably finish in the top five hopefully who knows which which one of them do you think’s going to be that

Guy who do I think’s going to finish in the top five from up here yes um taking ton out of the equation yeah um uh hoggard’s my man Hog’s your guy yeah hog guard’s my guy this week um I’ve been a backer um I love the

Course fit I love that he’s you know he’s he’s made his way over to the States won three times on the DP World Tour so he’s he’s a winner he can close uh won the DP World World Tour Championship against a you know really Stout field um at the end of last last

Year played in the rider cup so just just a lot of things training his Direction I I was talking with with Joe earlier and I was like I kind of put it in perspective of if if L big aberg was playing in this field um where would he

Be where were where would his odds be where would his DFS price be and I don’t think hoggart’s the player that aerg is but it’s maybe not as far off as as some people might think um I really like this fed he’s he’s kind of a Savon off T so

Um I could see myself fading Tony but I’m I’m probably going to be in on hog guard bet him already and I’ll probably be there in DFS too just just really like how he shapes up this week the course fits amazing he’s one of the few

Guys that sit there with Tony F now in the 180 mph ball speed and that is one thing to mention about Tony he’s showing up to this venue for the first time with a completely new approach on driving I think he finally said I think at the century everyone’s like where did you

Get this extra ball speed from he’s like I just decided to take the lid off it this year it’s like he’s just been pocketing like 5 to seven miles hour ball speed off the te just because because like imagine you could just show up to a golf tournament and just say oh

Yeah I guess boys I’m hitting at 10 miles per hour harder today just because I’m taking the lid off so yeah I mean he’s he’s he’s apparently he’s apparently always had it in the tank I mean for for years and uh so maybe he’s unleashing a little bit more um so that

Tony’s just so interesting this week it’s it’s such a weird event man it’s almost like a uh it’s almost like a swing season event where you got you know one or two one or two guys that show up and then the rest of the guys are basically corn fairy corn fairy

Level guys um and and that’s kind of what we see once we once we start getting out of the uh the 10ks and nks this week I mean there’s some there’s some questionable pricing yeah and it’s just just part of it’s just part of PGA FS because I got

To put some of these guys up there um but but it also kind of makes it fun yeah it does and I think I’m going to kind of just throw one more guy out there that I’m not playing in this range it’s Thomas dietry he is a poor man’s

Version of Xander shafley essentially the I did like a a tweet out there yesterday where you have that auto Brak distance sensor you know like the moment you get too close to a vehicle in front of you it just hits the brakes automatically in these new cars that’s

Basically what Thomas dietry and Xander shaffle like to if you kind of picture them as a vehicle behind another car that’s chasing the lead the moment they get right too close boom ejection you know I think dri is going to look fantastic in your lineups for the first

Three rounds and then Sunday is going to shoot like a 72 when everyone else is shooting 66 and you’re going to wonder what on Earth why you know and that’s just what you’re going to be getting from him and the same goes for Keith Mitchell in this range too so I’ll

Probably be playing Grio and the two the two Euro boys for sure so we’ll see what can cook in that department let’s dive into the bottom of this this kind of elite range so to speak and chat about the guys in the nines we got some really interesting names our boy Spencer

Crashing markets around the world with Rio hit atsun I know you and um Joe both kind of had a fun time saying his name on the show earlier so give us your Rio hitsun um pronunciation there Joe and chat to us about him hey man I’m in on

Rio hit Suni I I love him that’s my guy um I’m following Spencer’s lead um a lot to like about the kid um 21 years old Euro tour rookie of the year last year um so I mean we’re talking about a lot of Scrubs in this field Byron and and

This kid is not a scrub this kid’s a player uh won three times on the Japan challenge tour before he was 21 uh won the open to France last year you know at the golf nasal a a Ridder Cup golf course um so there’s a lot to like about

This kid um he’s super talented he’s uh made three or four cuts on the PGA tour this year had a T6 at the Zozo uh back in the fall so you know when we start talking about if anybody’s underpriced maybe he is at 9200 um in this field so I’m I’m following

Spencer’s lead on this one I love it and I think that’s the thing like we’ve got International stars in this field and we’ve got an International Event there could be a few guys that could pull what Tony W his first event our in the middle of nowhere on some island

Or or exotic location Victor havin started doing that his career started off with victories out in Maya COA and random exotic tropical resort locations not on us soil maybe we see someone like breakr in that mall this week and I think that’s another thing just kind of

Circles me back around the hog guard man I don’t I don’t want to harp on it but it’s just such like that Victor hin Tony fenale type like you know this dude’s coming um you know he’s going to be a player you know he’s going to be uh a

Big time guy on the PGA tour like within the next two to three years so it’s just like I could see him like mopping this thing up on the kind of on the outskirts you know cool and I think bouncing off of hoard there someone I was looking at

Is Steven Jer at $9,800 both played fantastically at Tori there might be a few guys at the top of this leaderboard that played nicely at that kind of a golf course I know the rough isn’t quite the same here but you can equate that kind of a ball striking venue to this

Golf course with the long driver hairy narrative and long iron approach play at those two courses and considering we’ve got a field of limited guys that have played in these big events recently to have some recent form on a course like that is good to know so I

Think jger and Nikolai both played very nicely at that golf course and so did Thomas diet and I think we got daro in here from s spot he says he might conjure up a keystone case bet for a Thomas dietry top 10 I will be willing

To take that on right now daro Thomas dri does not finish inside the top 10 I ow daro a B for for him for Tom Kim ready so maybe we do a double or nothing situation got Brian go against Darbo man he’s he’s so good he’s tough he’s a

Sharp man he’s a sharp guy and he’s a he’s a got a great show there over at Sweet Spot DFS go check that stuff out Tuesday nights um Brian’s asking about Taylor pendrith who I think is an interesting name we can find him here shortly I think he’s he’s a guy that we

Can chat about because he’s got that length he’s got that distance he’s $9,600 Joe Taylor pendrith CFS top 20 really like pendrith I think he’s he’s one of those Boomer G Boomer bus guys man when you when you start digging into his game log you’re gonna see you

Know especially over the last few months you’re gonna see multiple top 10 and multiple miscuts um and it’s just honestly just kind of what you’re getting with pendrith um so so strap in be ready for the ride I almost prefer like a top 10 or an outright on pendrith

As like a top 20 because I feel like if he’s playing well um he’s going to be up there in the mix this week um against this field so I think you can maybe even look at an outrider or top 10 or top five bet Brian on pendrith but I I like

Him I like the way he sets up as you mentioned super long off the te uh Byron I think he’s top 10 in this field in driving distance yeah U really good long iron player so uh just just a boomer bust guy kind of the kind of the perfect

DFS you know spot um to play a guy like pendri so to to double down on what you said about Boomer bus Joe I’ve got this thing in my model where it takes a look at top 20 top 40 numbers and 75% of his

Top 20s or or 75% of his top 40s were also top 20s so when he when he’s inside the top 40 it’s a top 23 out of four times he only finishes inside the top 40 35% of the time inside the top 20 26% of

The time right so good I’m glad you got stats to back that up it was kind of anecdotal for me because it always just seems like when he’s playing well he’s like you know he’s got a lot of upside he’s in the top 10 a lot um had some rough

Sundays um which we can we can say by a lot of these Guy Stephen jger A guy I think a lot of people are GNA like this week a guy that you mentioned brutal Sunday uh at Tory and that’s kind of his Mo if you look at his final round

Scoring average it’s really really poor he’s I think he’s outside the top 100 on tour in Final Round scoring average um and Pender’s struggling in final rounds as well I I believe um so you know it’s it’s one of those things where this C these caliber guys are learning to win

In a lot of ways they’re learning to close um so anything can happen anything can happen anything can happen Any Given Sunday baby and that’s the fun part about this week we’re going to have we’re going to have guys that have no business winning a golf tournament trying to win a tournament and

Somebody’s gonna do it so I think hey I’ll tell you what bar Byron we we kind of joke about this event um and I asked Joe why why are we even playing this event but this tournament is very very important to These Guys these these dudes that are getting some starts that

Are that are coming up off the corn fairy tour these starts are hard to come by man so these guys are going to be playing hard they’re going to be taking this thing serious um so there’s certainly going to be a high level competition out there even though this

We’re coming off Riv and Signature Events and all this [ __ ] these guys are going to be playing man um so you know it’s it’s one of those things where we’re having fun uh to us this is kind of a Down week but uh you know it’s an

Opportunity for these guys get kind of cement themselves on the PGA tour yes I totally agree and that they this is a CH event this is the this is the you know the the definition of when the turn starts taking place and guys that finish

Inside the top 10 can get in that Aon swing 10 and all that jazz that we don’t understand anything about fan base but we’re in the AK range now Joe and we have a segment of the show called Gourmet or cray cray where we get some prices that are are they Gourmet you

Know they they’re a little spendy for your price range or they a little spendy for the name associated with him but you might think you know what I’m willing to spend up on this guy because I like his chances do you have anyone in this in this 89 10K

Range that’s G made to you that um you’re kind of willing to spend up a bit on in the Mexico open this week yeah I mean we talked about a couple guys so I don’t want to you know I don’t want to kind of double tap those guys we’ve

Already touched on um really like Davis Thompson this week um kind of it’s Monday but been in it all day today and and really a lot to like about Davis Thompson he’s 8,900 we’re we’re basically never going to see him at this you know DFS price level uh but in this

Field I can certainly see myself getting there uh the form’s been good kind of under the radar great um 13 starts since the rocket mortgage last year uh six top 25s in those and he’s only missed two cuts um coming off of a really strong outing uh in Phoenix he gained four

Point Two Strokes on approach had a T15 at the waste management um really good from 200 plus yards which is something I’m looking at this week so U my Gourmet guy would normally pay that but uh Davis Thompson at 8,900 let’s go I love that and if you look at Davis Thompson leads

This field in Strokes game in P or P five scoring average and if you think about there’s four par fivs on this course but really is there more than that at the end of the day if you think think about it because this is a long

Golf course with a lot of long approach shots into the greens which to me it may be a par four with a four iron from 220 yards out but that’s a par five basically you know like theoretically a par five and a half call it so if you

Got someone that is the very best at that particular hole type I love it and I think he’s going to be dominate these dominating these par fivs dominating the long par fours and like you said he’s been playing some good golf so I love Davis Tom son as a gourmet option my

Gourmet guy is going to be Jake knp he’s one of the Corn fairy tour guys that showed up and we we’ve been on him me and Spence have been chatting about him on the show here quite often we had him for a top 20 I think at um the Wast

Management Phoenix Open I think he finished 28th at plus 500 so that was almost cashing for us there after he finished third at Tory Pines shocker you know a similar Golf Course Long off the tea long iron proximity numbers all that stuff from Jake knap $8,700 he’s one of

The first corn faery tour guys that’s not from the DP World Tour to be priced this high so he to me is a gourmet option this week incredibly incredibly good off the te when it comes to ball speed sitting at 185 and a half ball

Speed on the PJ T right now so that is insane and it’s effortless absolutely effortless from Jake naap so we’ll see what he can get up to top 20 for him is going to be plus 190 as well in the top 20 Market there so let’s dive into some

Cray cray prices y let’s just keep it to the eight case because we’ve kind of spoken about the the spend year options already who in the 8K range is a cray cray $8,000 option Joe I had I had McKenzie Hughes at 9,400 as my kind of cray cray guy

Um okay that’s fine that’s haven’t spoken there’s a couple in the 8ks too but uh but McKenzie Hughes at at 9,400 I mean I I get it he’s he’s a name quote unquote name guy uh playing in a in a really weak field but he lost six 6.4

Strokes on approach last week man which is just that’s brutal uh we’re talking about a guy kind of his bread and butter is is grinding out par uh scrambling making some putts and uh not exactly a great fit this week and and he’s priced up there at 9,400 so that’s that’s my

Cray cray uh of the week for sure above 8K yeah and I wonder how many people will be going to him after watching him on the top of the leaderboard for the majority of the week until he kind of just tumbled down right once the once the short game magic disappeared over

The weekend things got tough I mentioned him on the show last week at $6,300 which I thought was a great option you know $300 less than Min price and at a course like that we could chip in for Eagle multiple times this week yeah man I mean he’s he’s a guy you

You’ll play at rev a guy you’ll play at Tory you know a guy you’ll take a shot on in the US Open like on a really tough golf course but um he lost six 6.4 Strokes on approach last week gain 6.5 Strokes around the green l so it’s just

Uh I I don’t think it’s a combination for Success this week um at Vante I don’t I think you spot on we ordered that meal to a tea there it’s definitely someone I think you can kind of lean into in that department um some other guy I’m going to mention he has a

Cray cray price tag is is an $8,600 Cameron Champ I understand the course history understand the course fit he ain’t playing good at golf right now it’s like not good at all so you can you can be going back to a golf course that typically suits how you play well he has

Never succeeded around Tori you know like despite having I think one of the top 10 Elite like best strok gain off the T Numbers all time at that venue still just hasn’t played well so I understand the the course fit and the course history there but he was playing

Much better golf in the last two years he showed up there versus this week you know I’m I’m out on him at 8,600 that to me is a cray cray price tag for sure um and you push back on Cameron Champ there Joe I don’t disagree with with the

Thought with the overall thought I mean I I think cam Champ’s just such an outlier just such a such kind of a weird player that it’s the priz tag is gross um but we’ve seen this dude just like Miss cut after cut after cut and then

Win golf tournaments so I mean I feel like he he is kind of a sicko outlier um and he’s not built like a lot of these other guys um so you know I could I can conceivably like theoretically see him playing well this week but I wouldn’t I

Wouldn’t pay the 8600 to take that chance so I’m with you on it yeah I mean he’s he’s plus 500 for a top 10 maybe that’s an option you want to maybe if you’re in the mood foot cam champ go there because you’re going to capitalize

On that boom or bus type potential and not necessarily I feel like that plus 500 is better than $8,600 in DFS that’s just my take on that if you want to lean into that kind of situation maybe a plus 11 to1 top five or something and the the

Sicko thing is he’s probably gonna get a little bit of ownership um just because of the course history and because he’s a recognizable name um you know the the kind of casual DFS players um the that’s you know especially makes it gross um as if he does get a little little steam

Behind him in DFS this week yes so that to me is I think he’s more of a better bet than a DFS option this week if you ask me let’s get into the sevens and carry on with this little gourmet or cray cray situation here who south of

$8,000 Joe do you have as a gourmet option who’s a little spendy but you’re willing to go to him um I mean I think there’s a couple places as you can go this week obviously it gets pretty pretty gross pretty quick um in this sort of field

Like I said you know a lot of similarities to to swing season events um so you know you’re probably not going to feel just peachy uh when when lineups lock this week with some of the choices you’re forced to make but you know I think there’s some there’s some

Directions you can go down here um I like Carson young I think at 7,400 um very very palatable if we’re talking about something we’ll uh we’ll order up and you know maybe the the calories might be a little bit high but I think I think we’re going to walk away

Satisfied um really good long iron player number one in this field in proximity from 200 plus yards had a T15 I believe here last year uh we’ve seen a little bit of form this year so um at 7400 you know for me kind of qualifies

As a as a nice value on this slate I love it I absolutely think he’s a great value option eighth in the field in in good shot rate from 150 to 200 and also 22nd outside of two like so good shots means you’re going to afford yourself birdie options you know you can

Gain tons of Strokes just pounding pounding green off Green from from far but to get to minus 17 to get to minus 20 at this venue with these long IRS you got to be hitting a close and I think Carson young like you said the approach play is sneaky good for someone that

Price strange so I love that as a a gourmet but still I think like you said the calories are totally worth you just jump on the bicycle when you get home while the misses is sleeping and that those calories will be gone before you know it so I don’t mind that one bit

Whatsoever I’m G to go with Alejandro tosy as the $7,800 golfer from the corn fairy tour that showed up spicy he’s a spicy dish got a little fire baby got a little fire he’s got a little extra few dubs of of Tobasco SA hot sauce on there

We can throw out the the the Sweeney The Sweeney gift there the meme Sydney Sweeney but um he’s the person I’d be willing to put some hot sauce on my on my plate for at at 77 $7,800 also the ball speed 85 185 this year so he’s up there with Jake knp he

Can absolutely roast it off the tea he’s a a continental guy from the US you know he’s Mexican Mexican in by nature and I think he’s going to be playing some good golf out there he’s shown he’s been my Showdown guy that when he’s been playing

I’ve been just rostering him in that 6K range repeatedly low sixks and he’s had he scored me Five Points in The Showdown round Joe one time I think at the Sony in Showdown five points is a birdie he scored me five points total like so had

A really really bad round but he’s also capable of his upside is just palpable like it’s so crazy it’s like Benedict like eggs Holland days you know that kind of stuff it’s good quality stuff upside so we’ll see what he can get up to at $7,800 he’s he suits this

Course really nicely from a ball striking perspective and I think he’s going to be worth it little cray cray numbers Joe let’s get to the crayfish section of this menu you the $7,500 who’s a little little too expensive for your taste and and not willing to go to that

Option mat Wallace okay mat Wallace is 7,400 cannot get there man um he’s a name kind of kind of in the like we were talking about with M McKenzie Hughes um I mean he’s a name a lot of fans are going to recognize one last year and

Since that win Byron it’s been bad bad very very bad um just can’t get there with Matt Wallace let me uh let me pull it up here I made a couple notes on him it was it was bad uh he looks like he can hit it a long way but he doesn’t

Since his win last year he’s played 20 events and he’s had zero top 25s um his his history here miscut t67 so I can’t get behind Matt Wallace at 7,400 this week especially when you got Carson young sitting there at the same price oh baby talk about and

Alexander Bor Scott Stallings you know those are all yeah we got we got Scotty stalls um who who I feel like you know even though the results maybe hadn’t been there who I feels like feel like is kind of an upper class player when we when we consider this field just just

From his pedigree and his and kind of his history on the PGA tour um I mean there’s some you know there’s some plays there in the sevens man I mean Alex smik played absolutely horribly but um he’s a ball Striker Johnny Vegas um love his driver love his ability with the long

Irons this week um Vincent Norman we saw you know play some streaky good golf you mentioned toasty so I mean there’s there’s a lot of options here in this 7K range uh for for a guy like Matt W to be hanging out is pretty ridiculous absolutely agree with you I mean there’s

Been nothing to ride home about and riding home is a long long way away from Mexico for Mount wallers so by the time that message gets at the crow is toast my guy is $7,000 and I know this sounds weird to say for Robert McIntyre I think

He’s got this like aure about him that he’s from the DP World Tour he’s better than he actually is Bobby Mack for the guy that he is he’s his ball speed is only 173 miles an hour he’s he’s not necessarily one of these guys that strikes me as someone who’s going to be

Winning a tournament that gets to minus 17 minus 20 I just don’t see him he’s a he’s a scrappy Scott you know he doesn’t he doesn’t like he’s like ma bangers and mash you know he’s not uh a kind of guy that you’re going to be ordering tons

And tons of I think you want to play him at tougher venues like MacKenzie Hughes in a way I think he’s very scramble Centric and that’s what he gets up to so this week I mean that’s that’s his best metric he gains the most total Strokes around the greens out of his four

Buckets so I don’t want to around the green guy we seeing about a 66 67% GI rate at this venue so you’re only going to be relying on that stuff one every two or three like one of every three shots you’re going to be around the

Green the rest is going to be putting and he’s not necessarily the very best putter in the world so I’m out on Scott uh Robert McIntyre this week at 7,000 he’s cray cray I’m with you okay I’m with good um someone I want to mention before we dive

Into some Six GS and then kind of rattle off a few names there is Andrew Novak just gonna I’m G to just pick quickly I was writing him up in our value play section Joe he was making cuts at a ridiculous rate in 2023 and then kind of

Just fell off the boil he’s back to playing good golf if you just take a look at what happened at the waste management if if that’s a springboard into into good form he hung he hung tough he was playing in that final group for the two last the final two rounds

And and was playing okay you know he never completely dismantled himself I think Andrew Novak’s not a terrible option here at $7,000 in DFS especially on approach if you take a look at Strokes gained weighted like across the different proximity buckets he grades out fantastically well for me so I love

Him a lot I’ll rattle off one of my favorite Gourmet price tags it’s Joseph bramlet at $6,800 in the 6K range he is if you think about Tori he missed me and Spencer had a was it a 16 to1 ticket or or 8 to1 ticket on him for a top 20 at

Tori I think it was 8 to1 and he finished like 25th he needed to make Birdie on the final to cash that ticket for us and he didn’t but Tori I know we’re going to I’m going to compare a few because we’ve seen a few of these

Guys play a Tor I think Joseph Brown suits this gol course quite nicely yeah I looked at looked at Brown a little bit I like that call a lot um kind of right there at that 7K border line before we get down into the sixes I I had Sam Stevens

Circled um that’s kind of my one of my favorites before we get into the sixes it it really starts getting thin in the sixes by and I know there are a ton of options down there we talked about you know guys even being price below 6K this

Week but but to me it really runs thin as we get below seven um so Sam Stevens at 71 is kind of my last guy you know where I really feel pretty comfortable um then it starts starts to feel as though you’re getting in the dicy territory um he’s made the cutting every

Every start this year uh gain an average of 2.9 Strokes to T to Green this year so um plenty long off the te I think he’s top 20 in this field and driving distance really solid from 200 plus and we saw him play some really solid golf

Um in 2023 in Spurs so um lock Stevens before we get into the super cheap guys I love it and if you think about I mean he played quite nicely at the Valero I remember and just he dismantled the par fives out there and I think I think

That’s what you’re G to do and he’s also super long man he’s got some Ser he’s pushing 180 in ball speed too so lots to like there from him who’s your your Gourmet guy in the Sixers yeah Joe yeah it’s like uh trying to find the Gourmet at McDonald’s that’s exactly

What I was gonna say so you adding some extra mac sauce on to this week exactly yeah you’re just you’re just looking to spice things up a little bit make the best of of it um the form’s not been good but to me to me this guy is almost like the

Same guy as cam champ you’re just getting him like $2,000 cheaper and that’s Garett kigo yes um just because you got that driving distance there we know that the upsides there when things get going even though they’ve rarely been going lately but um I think there’s

A lot of comps to cam champ um and you can get G gar H go $2,000 cheaper so I like Parker Cy um just just from a distance perspective he and Pearson both um are really long off the tea they they’ve made some noise on the kft hadn’t

Translated to the PGA Tour yet yep and if you told me if you have told me a year ago that Davis Riley would be 6500 in the Mexico open field I would have told you you were nuts but the form’s just not there so even though I love Davis

Riley the form’s been really bad but uh he’s a name that stands out to me down here okay all right I feel you um another name I’m gonna toss out there is Chan Kim at 6500 I think I love Chan Kim on a on just a a little open kind of venue he

Played very nicely at the AMX and I think Chan Kim in a course in a field like this is is very appealing to me at 6,500 he makes birdies a lot makes lots and lots of birdies and I think he’s got some decent length you know I know the

The ball the ball speed numbers aren’t necessarily the highest for him but also must remember we played the freaking AMX you know like that’s where the majority of his numbers have come from so you’re going to see that but he gains he gains tons of Strokes on approach he’s like an

Approach Beast so we can see what he can get up to in that department I don’t mind him whatsoever um I want to double down on the garyo love there I think he’s a great Boomer bus cand it some other names in this range is the wonderful Adrian deont Des the

Deah the the drink five keystones and then just say his last name and slur a few syllables out there so I think he’s also one of these guys tons and tons of speed off the tea also unknown hasn’t really shown he was AB that dude was absolute

Fire in in the fall it’s kind of a shame that he wasn’t getting PGA tour start cuz he was just like insanely hot on the corn fairy tour in the fall yes what don’t you do you think we should have like a situation where in the corn fairy you have you do certain

Like an Aon swing five situation you can just get a random yeah I mean they got the they got the battlefield promotion thing but that’s just so like almost impossible I mean I think I think Meo Meo PR did it a couple years ago but we we’ve rarely seen guys but yeah um

Adrien deont D sart was just in Fuego man he was he was lighting it up and you would think a guy like that would be able especially with kind of the retooling of the Swing season you would think they’d want to get those Hawk corn fairy tour guys in there but the swing

Season in the PGA Tours wisdom has kind of become just a a stomping ground for guys that are past their Prime that are trying to hang on trying to hang on to the PGA tour and kind of the uh powers that be want those guys to keep their

Card it’s almost impossible to lose your card by and if you’ve had a card for like five years it’s almost impossible to lose and hopefully that’s one of the things maybe we’ll see some changes with this investment money because I I’ve got a feeling that you know any investors

Are going to want this thing to get more competitive than it is um we’ve got such great talent coming up you know we just need to give them the opportunity to show us who they are and yeah guys like Simpson are just not allowing them to do

That you know yeah yeah we got you know we got Zack Johnson like going back and forth with fans and like why is he even in the field yeah yeah exactly he needs to be in a bunker in the middle of a desert hiding away from us after what he

Did over there in Rome so we’ll leave him alone as well we’ve had a few Drive Buys in the 6K range of some some old dogs but that’s okay you know that’s what you get on the Proto Bola PGA show yeah with Joe nity and I someone also

Want to mention we’re not holding back man we’re not holding back the the truth the truth is the truth this year on the PGA tour I’m calling them like I see them and uh I mean we need to get these dudes off the tour man seriously off the

Tour off the tour we’ve lost a lot of we’ve lost a lot of stars to live and we’re pading these fields with uh you know guys that are guys that are 10 years past their Prime and yeah I mean occasionally you’ll get a a fun story like Charlie Hoffman um at at the

Phoenix Open and that’s great that’s fine but you know in the long run over the next two years would you rather have Charlie would you rather watch Charlie Hoffman or would you rather watch um pandro toasty or uh you know what I’m saying some of these really talented

Parker Coy or Jake knap I mean who would you rather watch and and Charlie toing unfortunately is is going to be in a lot of these events above these guys yeah I rocking up with the back the back brace you know like I thought the moment he strapped that on his body’s cooled

Down I just knew it was over but he still kind of hung in there so Props to him which as as a 42y old guy I can I can respect it I respect the power move of just strapping on the back brace in case a playoff breaks out so Charlie was

Ready man I mean prop props to him no want to take anything away from Charlie Hoffman but um these guys have made their money man um and if they’re not being competitive we we got to get these young guys up quicker amen amen speaking of young guys Jimmy Stanger he’s one of

The Corn fairy tour guys that got hot kind of in the middle of the Season Won Won a corn fairy to event he was the guy I was speaking about at the beginning of the show he popped nicely for me from a an easy course scoring situation and

He’s got some decent distance of the 45 guys that played he’s $6,100 and can putt lights out too so we got some some some interesting names in this range too and then for the first time on the root balla PGA show Joe let’s dive into the 5K

Range boom boom boom love it man love it haven’t said that on this show before I think I’ve said it once on mine but we’ve got a 5k range and and spearheading the 5K range is Peter Mardi and Troy Merritt so Patrick Arrington at $5,800 is is a

Very tempting name if you think about he he probably out drives a few of these guys in this field too he’s above tour average in ball speed and playing on the champions tour so I think Patty is someone I’ll probably be leaning on at $5,800 in my my 150 lineup contest you

Know won’t have too much of him but definitely find him in the mix there along with a few other names that I’ll kind of throw out you I think Trace Crow didn’t we see him show up or was yeah I think he was playing some nice golf at at Tori if I remember

Correctly was it Hayden Springer I’ll have to go and double check the two guys but I think they both are options I’ll be looking at here in this range there’s some really interesting other names I think Rahul perea is someone that kind of made his way through on the corn

Fairy qualifying stuff and played quite nicely at this golf course too so he’s someone I’ll be looking at I think he’s a very affordable $5,300 or so so give me some names you like over in the 5K range do on the road to ball of PGA

Show I can’t I can’t do a drive by on Pete man he’s he’s a local guy so I gotta I gotta bite my tongue on on Pete Mady um yeah I mean it’s as you mentioned it’s kind of a mix of veterans and these guys that have you know come

Up from the corn fairy tour that are trying to squeeze in some starts um and make the best of it so you know hopefully for some of these guys they can get hot this week and kind of kind of make a little bit of noise I want to

Want to shout out Norman Jang the panda um who who we all thought like five years ago was the next big thing and unfortunately just didn’t work out had some injuries and and some other issues and but uh hats off to him man for kind of re rebuilding his game um working his

Way up from the kft so I i’ would love to see Norman play well this week um and he follows me on Twitter so I’m I’m pulling for him let’s go go yeah Callum Taran he’s a bomber um we’ve seen really high and Loaves from him a lot of loaves

Lately um but I do like the driving distance and kind of the explosive upside that he brings to the table you know especially at this price at 5600 or so I mentioned Pearson Cy um I’m kind of surprised that he’s not shown more um on

The PGA tour um and I’m not sure that’s another guy kind of echoing back to uh deont deon’s chart um Cy played really well man just was scalding hot on the corn fairy tour um about a year ago and and just didn’t get to didn’t get to

Play on the PGA tour when he’s playing some of his best golf so maybe he can recapture some of that this week he’s certainly long enough off the te uh to Make Some Noise um enrio Ho’s a guy he won the Knoxville open here last year I

Got to watch him play he’s talented um so I mean there’s there’s some talented guys down here man it’s it’s just one of those weeks where like we said at the top of the show uh make a bunch of gpp lineups and dig into your stats and take

Some shots yeah I think that’s the way to go because these these guys down here are crazy I mean Read’s corn fairy tour article onroad baller.com yeah I think that’s going to that’s going to be the I thought it would be important for like the Sony and the AMX this week we we’ve

Got everyone and these guys have hardly shown us what they can do on the PGA tour us so definitely going to be be pumping that out there this week go check that out there I’ll I’ll just put it to my my Twitter profile at the model

Maniac a $5,100 golfer tons and tons of ball speed Ryan brim historically bad golfer but plays on the p i mean literally Joe like you said this guy should not be on the PGA tour he won an alternate event like two years ago what

Is he doing like on the tour but in this kind of a field with this kind of a course fit and getting back to what you mentioned there like just cam champ too expensive to kind of go back to hope he pops on this kind of course whereas this

Range is perfect for that like super cheap not going to play a lot of guys they’re going to be hardly owned if they pop boom you’re looking good so I’ll be sure to find a few of these names the value play article I’m going be putting

Out there this week is going to be I’ll just have a $5,000 section I think that’s just what I’ll do I’m not going to try man it’s I’m ready for it yeah I’m ready for the Val plays article this week let’s go I think we’re gonna have

Some fun with these names down here I’ll do some more deep diving as the week goes along um some interesting names to say the least so we’ll see what can cook in this range Joe thank you for joining your first your first appearance on the RO B PJ

Show wouldn’t want it to be any other tournament Byron perfect Mexico open I love it the Mexico open we’re gonna have to brush up on our Spanish maybe we do a a few a few sent I think I’ll come back on for Puerto Rico I think we got Puerto Rico

Next month I’m in for for the the pr open man I love it my boys had a lot of my favorites come through the pr open Man Tony fenel yep vova um got a lot of got a lot of Rich history with the pr open so we’re gon
