Okay okay all right everybody welcome back to golf and filtered here I’m Adam fonica from golf and filtered here with my good buddy Chris Campbell from auno golf it’s good to see you again my friend Adam it’s always good to see you always the favorite part of the Year
Here this is the third year in a row I think we this is the third year in a row and we are at least double the temperature than we’ve been the last two years so we’re already one step ahead of where we’ve been the last two years we
Are so we’re here at beautiful coill golf and country club in lont Illinois shout out to my buddies uh our buddies Randy and Sam here at KAG Hill for letting us use this beautiful fitting Center come check them out by the way it’s it’s incredible they’ve got every
Brand you can think of today we’re talking about mauno of course what are we going to go through today Chris with this so we’re as we’ve done the last couple years Adam and obviously we’ve we’ve utilized our shaft Optimizer for a number of years uh so our shaft
Optimizer is really going to help us dial in the entire fitting process not only fits you for the correct set of irons and shaft this is going to be able to space and GAP wedges properly get you in the correct driver shaft Fairway shaft utility shaft then also at the end
Be able to recommend a specific golf ball based on your Club head speed because each year we kind of unlock things of what the shaft Optimizer can do each year our software improves so this is going to measure now seven factors so each year again continues to
Improve and Wows us and makes our fitting process extremely solid and and dialed in so it measures our club head speed measures our Tempo our tow down kick angle release factor it’s going to measure me a little bit of shaft Lan and also angle of attack So within this
Everybody asks a lot of questions like you know what is this number one why do we use a graphite shaft we use a graphite shaft obviously because the weight of the computer and I I’ll tell you what’s going on in there but they’re within the sheets of graphite we
Actually weave uh five different wires what we call strain gauges that are measuring the bending of the shaft throughout the swing this this is a commercial gray gyro and accelerometers inside of it too so that’s going to measure all the speeds so this is going to measure everything that we need to
Know throughout what that shaft is doing from right before takeway to the top and all the way to impact and actually after impact then of course utilizing track B here it’s going to give us all the data points so that we can optimize spin launch launch angle of descent and
Obviously hit it hit it a little bit closer to the pin and potentially gain you some few yards which would be always a good thing yeah it’s never a bad thing to get a little bit more yardage there so last year I was playing the 923 jpx
Those jpx 923 loved them very forgiving something that you know is important for me uh I’m out there playing blades folks I know everyone on the Internet is playing blades not me I’ve grown past that but today we’re going to take a look at the new line uh 241 243 245 see
What maybe fits best for me and then you also said we’ve got some surprises and shaft options you’ve not even told me about yet we do have a couple of new uh some new offerings and you know it’s interesting that we’ve been uh in the same shaft the last two series we’ve
Been in the nipon modus 105 stiff in your previous two irons we’ll see if that recommendation comes up again or if we can maybe add something different to your bag but again all in trying to get you the the proper fit and get you some more enjoyment again this is a game that
We all enjoy and just make it a little bit more fun that’s all we want to do and I love this process specifically with you one because you’re my buddy and two because I like to see how I progress in the new equipment because a lot of
Golfers at gol U readers at golf INF filtered will say okay well do I need to get fit every year I’m of the opinion you know this that you should get fit at least once a year in case something changes absolutely yeah gol golf swings can stay strengths things like that we
Get a little bit stronger we change something in our golf swing we definitely can affect you know shaft and especially Li angle which and and also different Lofts as Golf Club Lofts are changing um you know each year with some different sets and so obviously making
Sure that we dial in you know not only the irons but again that’s why this shaft uh Optimizer this fitting process goes well beyond just what your iron shaft is is not a lot of people unlock all the capabil ities of our software that’s why we say we have a true fitting
System um and that we’re able to dial in basically the rest of the bag especially gapping yardages as obviously Lofts have changed well again wedge Lofts are going to change as well being able to recommend a driver shaft Fairway shaft based on that same Bend profile that
We’re uiz utilizing in the irons we’re going to bring that right into the full bagger in the top and again at the end give you some exciting golfball recommendations as well awesome well Chris you and I are going to go through the fitting process we’re going to
Forget about the camera we’re just going go through a regular one viewers you’re going to see the entire thing as I experience it as well just like we did last time so let’s get into it you got it all right hit a hit a couple just
Kind of get again used to used to way that feels and everything and I’m good in here you are good now okay just get it right in the middle that always helps shout out to Jonathan Staten with the golf swing help by the way mutual friend that’s right
So shaft Optimizer 83.6 eight trackman 82.8 wow less less than a mile an hour off that’s awesome so that’s I would say that’s something to definitely we’ll see if that you know transpires the with the next couple yeah but if that’s something that’s something that we always talk about because people question the
Accuracy of this AB 100% really 100% they’re like no way and since this came out like I would go in with my fall meetings when we were show tasting that they like pull out your flight scope pull out your track pin pull out your whatever let’s see and typically it’s
Within a mile an hour and everybody’s like okay now I believe you Chris yeah okay gotcha that’s awesome 84.2 85 yeah that’s awesome so we are point about 8 mil hour off versus the first three we’re going to still do one more okay um but it’s I’m I’m H I’m
Very happy to see that yes little heavy but little heavy 83.9 to 83.8 that’s right there it’s all right so I’m just going to put it in this 245 again when when we when we do this doesn’t matter what head it’s not measuring a head for a shaft it’s
Going to measure a shaft I just put in 2 four five is that’s the new one okay that here there’s your W Moto 105 still still right there so cool thing with this so this gives so this recommendation again I’m going to snap must do all your screenshots so our
Recommendation options so they’re now just in the cart so so it gives a couple of things so we click all so that’s all available of every shaft and then so we’re actually hard we’re actually hard stepping oh okay so actually hard stepping a couple of them obviously our
You know the the fitting process you know the interview process is is probably and this is something I would definitely put in there the interview process is probably one of the most important parts of it because you know typically I’m going to ask you questions like you know what are you looking out
Of this fitting you know we’re coming from 9234 you were happy with the irons did they would you want them to the long irons to be a little bit more stable the shaft to be a little bit heavier lighter you know my Miss was still this things
Like that like you can find out a lot about right where I’m going to go in a fitting process before we hit a golf ball right and you can again yes everybody thinks like oh you know fittings are going to take hours and hours and I don’t have the time I don’t
Have the money most are most should not take this time and that’s why this shortens this process so instead of you hitting 100 Balls to get the right Shaft or even 50 balls to get the right shaft we’ve done that in three golf shots so that’s why this process we feel is
Incredibly important um along with the interview process is because you find out a lot a lot about what you want you know Chris I want to hit the ball farther than I did last year okay well then then the first thing I’m going to do Adam is I’m probably going to say all
Right well it was looking at um looking at 923 forged you know is a 30° 79 we didn’t change Lofts we may be looking at a hot metal pro 28 and a half degree we’re going to try to get number one of a golf club it’s going to be a thinner
Face maybe with a slightly stronger Loft but obviously we still have to maintain and get the correct numbers y we got to make sure that we get the right launch numbers the right spin numbers all that kind of good stuff I think I think you’re a I think you’re a candidate I
Think you’re a good candidate for 245 okay um same law structure at 30° y so we’re not we’re not changing that yet because I’ll tell you honestly one of the like one of the first shots that you hit was like I mean it hit basically every category like perfect to launch
The spin everything was like right there your you angle attack your fa your that was your face to path on that one but um it was much tighter great launch I mean 165 you know so we’re looking in that 165 like low 6,000 in spin right so so
With this club’s going to give us so probably one of the biggest changes of the three irons was this one so in so two so two iron to gap wedge right-handed four iron to Gap left-handed same Forge chrom material in the hosle in face hollow body Golf Club
Tungsten weight went from 30 G to 46.4 oh interesting from the two to the seven iron so noticeably more stable but more compact than last year’s model 243 more compact than last year’s model thinner Top Line Lofts didn’t change with this one again except for short irons no feel
Is noticeably different okay our irons maybe go back to mp20 H chb when we started with that one a little hollow body feeling my opinion does not feel or sound like a hollow body Golf Club I’ve noticed that progression each time really feels like a solid Golf Club
Again crali face thinner face for better ball speed feels unbelievable so this this will be standard live we can go we can go with a head 923 for’s head that I’ve got flat when we when we test for L angle at the end okay so just real quick about the uh
Pro 245 confirming everything you just told me sir it looks a little bit thinner at the Top Line um it does look much more compact than the 23 225 um which I also played a couple years ago yes you did and so this this for me personally I love the look of I
Love the look of a blade I’m not good enough to play a blade I know that about myself but I also know that I need to get the ball in the air a little bit more yes that’s something I’ve always battled um and of course I’ve got the
The hook that comes in which is more swing mechanic than anything but you’re able to help dial me in with the shaft and everything else to help help me with that a little bit correct so lower deeper CG with this golf club so allowing for better launch for better
Spin and obviously more stability but giving a golf club that’s aesthetically pleasing so we didn’t have to go because you wanted something more stable we didn’t have to go bigger we actually went slightly more compact because of all the internal workings of that Golf Club perfect I will say I like the look
Of the shaft it’s kind of cool the brush ises a good look yeah little toey but man that felt soft yeah I hit that on the toe but that that was really soft full layer of copper just like your others yep you know 167 good launch spin down obviously
We pulled it about 4600 so that went left ball speed was up a touch yep is this say 182 total yes it does okay well lot of lot of rollot of roll lot of roll lot of roll because low spin that’s right and because drawing god it feels
Good good height now that felt soft I did hit it a little off the little left of center I would say okay but um Landing angle 40.6 is the softness I’m feeling a result of the club head build or the shaft or both could be both okay could
Be both got it you know when stepless started 20 something years ago with original you know Royal Precision that was the thing of like energy transfer was a little bit better so it does it does feel different than a stepped shaft right yeah it does some I mean you’re
Going to hit the other you’re going to hit the other one too I mean these are the top three two are stepless shafts all right let’s hit one off the middle see what that feels like so that one I just pulled a little but it felt great that was in the middle
I can tell immediately that got higher at ball speed at 119 yeah 18 launch 173 carry distance and that felt that felt like how Munos feel usually like these are this is why I’m such a big fan of the too it it feels wonderful that ball
Got exactly as high as I needed it to because I hit the ball low too often right yeah and especially helping with this model in that especially in the more difficult to hit once we get to those longer irons that’s where this head really shines is because that sole
Does get a little bit wider in those let’s say we’re into like a 3 four five let’s say easier launch definitely that’s where that exceptional tungsten waiting that improved tungsten waiting is really going to help us right um is going to be the those offc Center hits
On those long irons of still flying higher with that wider sole deeper CG and more stability and I don’t want to hear it from none of you cuz it’s February in the midwest I haven’t been playing so I know I’m inconsistent right now Chris is going to help me out though
That’s right that’s the goal of today yeah well that’s how I want to hit every shot I was going to say that you can bottle that one up yeah that one that’s perfect 16 16 launch one 19 Just a Touch over 119 ball speed 170 carry distance
And that’s as we can see that is dead on Center Line there at that perfect we did see some the only downside to this um noticing some lower spin yeah that was going to say 4,300 RPM on that is not that is not enough no that is not enough
Even at 162 that ball would stop but again we’re hitting a seven iron we’re going 654 things like that that’s where’re launch and having really low spin we’re not going to have enough to support it it’s not going to do us any good and that could be just be a little
Bit of inconsistency in the shaft yep um that’s of the three that we’re testing right now that’s the softest of the three okay and so now we’re going back into your for the last two years so this should feel pretty comfortable yeah that felt real comfor
Real familiar rather got a little bit of the lefts today but that was pounded little draw 120 ball speed wow okay 4500 RPM okay still still a little low 73 carry but again turning it that face is shut a little bit of impact as we can see
Yep maybe a touch heavy yeah maybe a touch heavy but not crazy okay okay that’s better yep 1774 about 5100 spin carry right at 170 118 ball speed much much square face as we can see mhm two four there yep so as as we saw basically that really tight
Little draw that you like to hit yep and of course this is this is a standard Li angle Golf Club yeah okay so we all we know we’re going to need to go a little bit flat right so once we figure out shaft we will test it versus that two
Degree Flathead and make sure that we are absolutely dialed once again an important thing to consider when you’re getting fit or a benefit of getting fit is to know exactly that that’s been the best so far well struck ball right there yeah yeah that’s pretty standard I say to everybody just
Just do that every time make it easy right that’s it you can you can absolutely bottle that one up yeah 16 launch 63 spin 11 19.6 ball speed and that’s that’s Center Line all day and this so we saw numbers tighten up a little bit we saw dispersion tighten up
A little bit this is this is closer right this is closer to what you need the familiarity of it now so absolutely uh viewers will say oh you hit it shorter but that’s okay cuz I I need to know what number I’m going to hit you
Know and every so often with the modern lofted clubs and we’ve talked about this you might catch that super ball every so often and all of a sudden you’re flying the green if you’re not familiar with it and especially if you don’t go get fit to understand what’s happening and some
Of the and some of the higher distance shots that we hit were overcook draws that are going to go farther that did have spin about 2,000 RPMs less than that so maybe a ball that went one that we said carried 173 174 is going to be
In the bunker left where that one that carried 166 is going to be center of the green that’s right so we we got to watch obviously with our numbers and your tendency obviously is to overcook it just a little bit yep this is the this is the KB so this is
The this is the KBS SE taper light stiff so 110 uh a couple Gams heavier than your modus 105 your stepless look like you like yep it’s kind of cool I think we’ve tested this one before we have pretty well struck nice little tight draw that felt
Good 119 ball speed okay little little more yardage it’s very good didn’t Center Line shot yeah 1 172.600 RPM which isn’t terrible no off of off of a range ball again as we’re testing that’s true now I hit that off the toe and S sounded a little bit and that didn’t
Again we saw we see the ball speed down about a little over 2 mph so we see that but look at those numbers that’s that’s impressive actually I’ll tell you that’s your best Two Shots back to back yeah it is of checking pretty much every single
Box there of 29 we had that little draw 167 carry 16 and a half launch wonderful shot yeah that’s actually really surprising wonderful okay well we just got done with uh really informative fitting as typical you always treat me right um the zuno Pro 22 245s rather are probably
What I’m going to go with something that I really thought was interesting is on the app from the shop optimiz shot Optimizer it also showed me about a degree and a half flat which is something that everyone needs to know when they go through a fitting correct
And that’s one of the other um improvements that we’ve added with the shaft Optimizer is going to be the lle requirement so during that shaft fitting process when it’s measuring it it’s showing exactly we’ll see this on the video 1 and2 de flat or a 60° Li angle
For Adam on his seven iron which is going to help eliminate some of those shots we tested the model out with a two de flat line angle we saw a noticeable decrease in your draw we saw actually a couple of shots hang out a little to the
Right so we knew that two degre was maybe a little bit too much but that one one and a half that we’re going to go with is going to absolutely be that sweet spot that we’re looking for yeah and that’s exactly what I need obviously
I need to fight that side of the golf course this is going to help me out we went through a few different sh shs probably going to go with a shaft different than previous years which I’m excited about we are we uh the nipon motus 105 came up in the recommendations
Uh we ended up laying uh lying on uh the KBS SE taper light stiff so a couple of grams heavier than what we’ve played but almost immediately within within two shots we saw a noticeable difference we saw improved in ball speed we saw that really that spin rate which was more
Than important thing for me we saw that spin rate become very very consistent and we saw very tight dispersion uh with those shots as well so that’s easily the shaft to go with we tried something a little bit lighter but again then we saw some of those left shots and some of
That inconsistency and some of that low spin come in but I think we hit The Sweet Spot correct yeah and that’s an important thing because I learned something today don’t just rely on the same specs that you’ve always played you have to go continuously get fit you guys
Know I talk about that all the time I just experienced it myself thanks so much again for putting me through this fitting dude Adam as always so

Love it. I also recently
Upgraded to the 245’s from
the 923 forged. Different shaft. Ordered at standard specs however will get them adjusted to 2 degrees flat ASAP. Beautiful irons ❤
Came from Tik Tok. Great video
