So the PGA is going to Mexico early for spring break I dig it let’s break down this tournament welcome back to Bray Birds DFS one of the best places for PGA NFL MLB and NBA news and of course DFS if you don’t know by now I’m Walt if you

Haven’t already please like And subscribe to my Channel all right so now it’s time for me to go over my overview of the mexic can open and I know it’s not going to be as stared as last week but let’s just keep it a buck if you win

One of these gpps you’re not going to care about that at all you’re going to see that money in your account you’re going to withdraw that money into your personal accounts and you’re going to keep it moving all right so I’m going to start off this video by first looking at

The professional golfers who were the best recent form and the number one person in recent form right now is actually olison so a lot of us here in the United States we don’t pay as much attention to the DP World Tour so we haven’t been aware of how he’s been

Playing but you can see that and this these aren’t even all the events a lot of times DraftKings doesn’t put all of the DP War tour events on there but just know that olison has been very hot which explains why he’s one of the few players

Over 10,000 now one of the GP World Tour European players that we know about because he plays over on this side of the pond a lot is hoard uh he is 10,700 so a little bit more than olison and we can see how he’s played he was

39th last week at the Genesis he was 31st at the Pebble Beach and he was second at farmers and he won the DP World Tour Championship so a lot of us because he’s played over on this side so much recently we’re aware of him the third best person a golfer recent form

You might know this guy Tony F now his salary is $122,000 we’re going to spend a lot of time talking about Tony Fe now but it’s pretty obvious if once we break things down why he’s 12,000 and he has the third best recent form of any golfer in

The field he was 19th last week at the Genesis 47th at the Pebble Beach six at the farmers 25th at the American Express and 38 at the century so the fourth best recent form is Grio uh he’s 11,100 that is not a typo but I think

They’re only six of the top 50 golfers in the world in in this tournament so because of that you have Grio at the highest price I promise you you will ever pay for Grio we can see he was 44th at the Genesis last week uh the Phoenix

Open 22nd 14th at Pebble Beach 20th at farmers and 17th at the Sony Open and number five we have hitet Sunni who’s played a lot on the PGA tour recently he missed to cut at the Phoenix Open 33rd at the farmers 11th at the American Express 30th at the Sony the open and

18th at the DP World Tour Championship so anything you see this week take with a grain of salt good or bad because this field is much weaker than the average field that we have on this course all right so let’s look at some things to consider so the tournament is being

Played at VI Dante viarta this is the third year of this event uh Tony Fen now won this event last year with a 24 under par and Rah who is obviously not playing in the PGA at this point as seven wanted in 2022 as 17 under par so that’s it we

Do not have a lot of course history as I mentioned only six of the top players in the world are playing at this event so there’s some screwy things when you look at the salaries and just where people are ranked and I got to put this there

Is no rain or external win expected now this is a coastal course so anytime you’re by the water you’re going to have seab breezes I have a meteorology background just know high low pressure blah blah blah pressure goes from high to low you’re always going to have seab

Breezes however it’s not going to be like the Los Angeles tournaments we had or you know where 50 m per hour winds it’s not going to be like that so what I’m trying to say is the weather is going to be nice uh the course comparison would be El cardal where the

Worldwide uh technology uh tournament is played uh this is a resort course so in general Pros shouldn’t have a lot of problems with this course and yes I put this in you know reddish pink this is the first 6K you know first sub 6K salary event of 2024 they do this every

Once in a while where you have just a head you know Head and Shoulders above player like Tony Fen now in the field so it kind of changes our strategy that a lot of us normally have for these tournaments so I think the biggest question we all will have to decide de

Side is to fade or not to fade Tony fenal and the answer to that is you can fade anyone all right so recent winners we talked about it there’s only one recent winner uh in the field is Tony F now he won last year with a score of 24

And Par and subsequently and because of this field his salary is a whopping $122,000 all right so let’s look at the course so 7456 yards so a very long course especially relative to the last few courses this is a resort course that plays very slow it’s not going to be

Firm and fast like some of the other courses that we played it’s another par 71 but the par 71 is set up differently than the last few courses there are five part 3s only nine part four so that’s the least amount of part fours we’ve

Seen in a while and we bump it back up to PO four part fives after last week only having three par fivs all right so on a course like this what are you looking for when you’re trying to to narrow down you know the players that

You’re going to pick so you want to pick those players that have driving distance I mean this is a long course you want to have those players that are really good at The Strokes game approach makes sense with the length of this course and the

Type of course it is and you want to have birdies or better game kind of players because once again this can be and probably will end up being a birdie Fest so if your player is not getting birdies you’re going to have a score that you think is good you’re going to

Think it’s good like oh man my guy went 3 under par today and you’re going to be feeling good but this is a birdie Fest and you see you’re going to realize that a lot of players went six underpar the day so you got to have those players

That can convert those birdies and then scrambling is going to be important so when we put all of that into the pot let’s go back to DraftKings and the players that we’re going to Target first we’re going to have toasty and we can see that he was 43rd at the farmers uh

He missed a cut at the American Express we have the son the open we was seventh 70th excuse me he was six at the corn fairy TOUR Championship but he has the driving distance that you would like for a course like this and then we have the Frenchman

Barjon and he missed a cut at the farmers 39th at the American Express but you can and he missed the cut at the Sony but he won the corn fairy TOUR Championship it makes me nervous to play a player at 5700 but if there was a

Player at 5700 that would make me the least nervous because of his Strokes game approach and just he’s a rising star I’m going to go with Paul next we need someone who does well a scrambling and we have Michael Kim and he has played well at times this year he did

Mix M mix excuse me mix missed the cut at the Phoenix Open 37th at the Farmers Insurance open six at the American Express 42 at the Hawai Sony Open uh in Hawaii and 23rd at the worldwide Tech technology championship and we already mentioned that this course is very

Similar to that course so he was 23rd on a similar course back in November and then just someone when you combine all the stats that are important to a tournament and a course like this I like Mark Hubbert he was 53rd at the Phoenix Open fourth at the Pebble Beach proam

20th at the farmers 47th at the American Express and 57th at the Sony Open so he’s been playing well and then also like Maverick magn at 8100 you can see just a few weeks ago he was six at the Phoenix Open 39th at the Pebble Beach pram 37th at the Farmers Insurance he

Missed a cut at the American Express and 57th at the Sony Open so not playing too bad at this point all right so next I am going to focus on one player in each of the salary tiers that I haven’t mentioned already that I think you might

Want to at least slow down and consider and the first above the 10,000 and above is going to be Thomas dietre and the reason why I like him is because of ownership I think relative to the other players that are 10,000 above and I mentioned all those players whether it

Be F fenal or olison you know hoard uh all of those players and you know Grio they are going to get more ownership and I think people will rather just pay a little less and go down into the 9,000 so because of that beyond the other

Players I mentioned I like dri all right let’s go down into the 9000s and I’m always down to play joerger some of these weaker Fields uh we can see that he’s played pretty well recently he made the cut and was 71st um at the Pebble Beach he was third

At the farmers 52nd at the American Express 18th at the Sony Open and 28th at the RSM classic so I like him I feel like this is an event where he could dominate all right so I’m about to warn you don’t have an asthma attack hey he is someone that has amazing driving

Distance yes he has played terrible lately just terrible but he has won events before the PGA Tour he has a top 10 finish you know uh in the past 52 weeks so if you want to play the ownership game and I wouldn’t if I had one lineup I wouldn’t put Cameron Champ

In my lineup but if you’re putting in multiple lineups you’re going to have to sprinkle in Cameron Champ in there but I’m not going to put my life on the line for that man all right so Lee also like Lee KH Lee in these kind of tournaments

He’s missed a cut his last two tournaments but he was 25th at the American Express 30th at the Sony Open and 58 at the RSM all right we’re getting real deep into the 6000s and I like kazy so we can see that he has missed the last two Cuts but when he

Plays well he does play well we can see that all four rounds that the Sony Open he was under 70 and then same thing at the RSM and then at the Butterfield Bermuda so when he plays well he plays well and once again this is a softer

Feel than what he normally plays in so if you’re going to dip below 7,000 and I think you’re going to kind of have to this week I like kazy and if we’re really getting dirty you know malady we know the problem with him is he has sometimes he has trouble sometimes

Having four good rounds he did that at Pebble Beach but as you can see he’s missed a cut four out of the last five times so let me know your thoughts please feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions you can leave them there too but otherwise go out
