Good afternoon L off Academy members and guests and welcome back to another video today we’re going to be looking at some of the longest wom ball Strikers on Earth we’re going to see the difference between tilt based and turn-based power and how this can affect you and maybe
You can start to identify some flaws in your swing because you’re trying to steal some distance and thank you for those who support this channel if you are interested in memberships they started 99 Cents and they go to the Hiller Hood Foundation in Cape flat South Africa to get low-income children
Into golf and at any time if you get some education out of this video hit that like share subscribe comment whatever you feel to help support us grow this channel to get education on cause and effect into more golfers like you looking to get a little bit more
Consistent results but enough of that hogwash let’s go find out how you can steal some Distance before we get started I wanted to show you a quick turn-based relationship versus a tilt based relationship look at the one on the left this is going to be a turn-based impact one on the right is going to be a tilt based impact and this will be governed
By the spine angle that purple line how we retain it so this is important for you to watch at home left side of the screen what we can see is as we take that club back we are starting to stand out of our posture you can see the left
Shoulder rising up significantly higher but this helps her get an immense amount of turn and along with that turn she’s doing a really good job of staying in her back brace line that green line once she goes through down to impact we can see she does a really good job of again
Staying in that back brace line and maintaining her posture right past impact and what we do is let’s pause it right where her shoulders should be tilted if this is a normal back swing so we can see she has about 18° of tilt once we get down through impact right
The next frame over her shoulder tilt did increase to about 40 so we see a 22° increase of shoulder tilt but in relation to the start of the Swing we can see that she is at 28° so from start of the Swing to impact we are looking at
12° of tilt increase which is fine we’re going to leave the numbers on the left side let’s go to the one on the right right let’s first of all get her shoulder Tilt at the start of her swing it is at 26° we get to the top of her swing now
She does the same motion trying to turn but her issue is she keeps that left shoulder down instead of straightening it to allow her upper body to stay against that brace line and as a result we start to see a tip towards her toes now she’s trapped even though she has a
Lot of turn but as we turn to try and get down to the impact position we can see that we’ve lost some territory here and she’s essentially crunched at the golf ball so from this point on look at her shoulder tilt under so we see a big
Tilting to help square that clut face up so remember there’s two ways to get your hands out in front one is to turn one is to Tilt The Turning is a lot easier in the back the tilting can cause some issues so we can see that shoulder tilt
Here is pretty close to 26° on her way down as she gets down to impact we’re going to go one frame past impact you can see the amount of tilt that she’s established which is 65° so if we back it up to the beginning then check that tilt when she sets up so
She gets around 40° of tilting in her motion so when you start losing your posture into the golf ball the only way to escape it and keep the club on plane is to to increase your tilt which is really hard to do specifically if you’re
Older and you sit in the computer like I do most of the days but let’s take a look at some golf swings this is the finals and I want you to watch how these two address the golf ball differently but also look at their motions so I’m
Going to stay quiet and give you a moment of silence to watch this thing at Beauty we’re going to pause and look at the flight scope data for Gabby and Phyllis so what we’re going to see is look at the club head speed they’re almost identical now the spin rate is slightly
Lower for Phyllis 200 RPM is not going to make that much of a difference launch angle about the same so 15° 15° you’ll notice that the ball speed is 166 for Gabby but 177 now 11 mph faster ball speed with the same clubhead speed will equate to look at the distance 26 yd
Further carry now when I’m looking at these numbers there are a few numbers that are missing that could help diagnose what really occurred but it looks like a centeredness of contact let’s go back to Gabby we’re going to look at a face on view and I want you to
See what she’s doing here so this is pretty routine nowadays we start to see more guys and girls in Long Drive do this as they’re shifting their weight right to left getting the feeling of the weight distribution weight transfer accentuating that motion but what you’ll notice is right there so that’s
Basically where her swing starts is look at how much the hands are out in front of the golf ball now if you draw where the golf ball is connected we’re going to draw a long line this way and try and figure out with my trusty tool here where 90° is
From that golf ball so I’m going to eyeball it and see if that looks about 90 oh look at that that is 90° so when the golf ball is that far outside of your shoulder tilt you’ve got to do some pretty severe tilting at impact to make
Up for that to keep your hands out in front of your chest she’s already starting with the right shoulder tilt that is Extreme so we’ll see how handles it an impact so I’m going to change that line we’re going to make it green that’s going to connect her hands to her chest
And see how that relates to in the golf swing and what we’re going to do as well is we’re going to draw a yellow line to show her spine angles her spine angles is going to be a little bit tilted away from the target so that’s again
Something that I don’t recommend you do I would prefer to see both these lines matched up with the golf ball to keep you truly connected to your Center for average golfers now for these guys and girls they can get away with a lot obviously they’re swinging as hard as
They can they’re not looking for Fairways they’re just looking to swing as hard as they can so it’s a little different here but we’re going to take a look at these two lines and how they relate to each other so we see that extreme weight transfer as she stands up
The reason she standing UPS to allow herself to turn because it’s very difficult to turn from this low position so she’s going up getting the weight on the right side there goes that extreme turn so look at how much her back is rotating this is probably close to 140°
Of turn but also look where that club is Allah John Daly that club is peering out she can see that club head with her left eye so not only does she have have an extreme turn but she’s also tilting towards the target so her upper back is
Moving in this direction and this will allow the hands to move back even further so this is how we start to steal distance we do this by also not losing control of our right hip now from here to line up all these lines takes a lot of timing so that’s why long drive
Hitters can hit it pretty far but not as accurate as they would like just because there’s just too many motions in play so now we’ve got that red line we’ve got the yellow line and the green line they all have to kind of match an impact does
She do it in time so there goes that lower body we’re driving that lower body left we’re trying to realign everything as we strike the golf ball we can kind of see where all that is so let’s look at now did we line up all those lines
Together so right here is impact we see the fluttering between two frames so we’re going to consider this impact we see the golf ball just taking off but let’s redraw these lines now and see if we reconnected him so let’s start with the green line her spine angle is
Slightly leaning for the back which will help with that launch and and we see the shoulder tilt 90° to where the ball is you can see how it’s increased even more so when you start with tilt you have to increase more tilt and that is the one
Issue that I see with amateur golfers now if we clean up all these lines it’s getting a little confusing I want you to look at the right shoulder how it continues to tilt under and the only reason it’s tilting this far under is to make sure those hands are connected to
The chest while her whole body continues to rotate because if her shoulders sto tilting her hands would take over and that is where the club face will be extremely shut and we get the Rope hooks okay so for anybody who wants to hit the golf ball long you have to be able to
Tilt that right shoulder straight down to impact because if you cannot you cannot get your body to strike that golf ball here’s another good example is once we get that club back there and you can see this extra little bit of motion here that is what usually pulls you out of
Your posture when you’re trying and reach back further but these are professionals they know how to time it very well plus they get five or six different shots not like you it’s just one shot rope hook into somebody’s pool but watch that right shoulder as we drive into the golf ball the right
Shoulder continues to tilt down continues to tilt down and this is the position this is an extremely hard position to get it get into where the right shoulder has not only tilted but also turned and look at the relationship between the hands and the chest they’re crossing over right in front of the
Center point now this puts a lot of pressure down here put some pressure maybe in the left knee maybe in the left ankle depending on how you come out of the shot but this is a very hard motion to get into so until you can get your
Tilting down you should not try to overswing and make sure your setup is set up accordingly for the shot you’re trying to do okay here we have Cassandra Myer who have done a full evaluation so if you’re interested in that it is on the channel somewhere and where
Cassandra gets a lot of her motion is from rotation so I just want you to watch the footwork matter of fact we’re going to zoom in on the feet so we zoomed in on the feet and I want you to watch how the weight moves so watch that
Right foot the right foot is some say it’s rolling over but what she’s doing she’s stepping off that right side and she’s pushing all the weight from her heels to her toes and that allows her to start to turn but watch how the weight is received on the left side so it gets
Toe based initially so that’s where the push comes in but watch the extra turn past impact right there so you see how both feet spin around now that is just momentum taking her way left and you can see both feet right about here they’re in the air so she’s almost jumping at
This golf ball so not only do you have to turn but you also have to push up and this is where she gets an immense amount of power so as a result because she is spinning a lot and jumping up at the golf ball we can see her right shoulder
Does have to tilt down but it’s not an exaggerated tilt like the other two you can see the shoulders are starting to straighten out right here and they come on back up to a straighter position so this is more of a golf swing if you are
Trying to hit the golf ball you have to have more rotation to alleviate the pressure on your shoulders but in order to do that you have to maintain your posture in order to do that you have to start with Good Foundations grip alignment setup ball position and
Posture those are the four things that I keep preaching to everybody so I hope this helps you at least open your eyes to what is tilting an impact what is turning an impact and how one differentiates from the other and what type of body type you need so unless you
Lift weights unless you go out like Rocky in the mountains and throw Boulders down the hill don’t even try this come see one of us will help you out hope that helped you feras and Greens

Unbelievable how much they tilt. If I did that I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed for a few months
I remember watching this live, phillis was so dominant all day that it felt like a contest for second place.
Keep me away from the longest women ball strikers please!
