Well Ronald Curry no longer with the Saints it sounds like he may be headed with the rest of the former Saints Convoy up to Denver so we’ll talk about all of that coming up over the next two hours we will start with college football and kind of national Signing

Day like I guess it is national Signing Day cuz if you’re a high school recruit nationally in the United States of America you can certainly sign today although the vast majority of them did so back in December for LSU today was only about two High School products two

You had Dominick McKinley who was committed and had no indication of signing anywhere else so not a lot of suspense there and you had Terry busy the five- star from timson Texas call him an athlete probably a defensive back potentially a playmaking offensive player but uh was committed to Texas A&M

Had taken some visits Georgia had checked in he had visited LSU LSU had returned the favor and gone in home with him and the new staff over at Texas A&M worked hard to retain his commitment and they did uh Terry bsy did decide to stick with the Texas A&M hagies earlier

Today at a small ceremony at his high school so he’s on the college station and LSU’s class is complete and it’s a huge class uh you’ll recall that uh in recent past they did away with the 25 scholarship limit in each signing class you’ve got 85 scholarships you can use

85 scholarships however you’d like to do it you want to sign zero high schoolers and all recruit uh transfer portal ease you can do that you want to sign a 100 high well you can’t sign 100 you want to sign 85 high schoolers and have them all

In one class you can do that too there are no rules other than to say you’ve got to have 85 on scholarship when you get ready to play in your first game so for LSU in this 2024 class they have signed now 28 high schoolers one junior

College player and six transfers that is a total of 35 new members of the LSU football program um how does that rank nationally in terms of uh stacking up with the rest of the country on three 247 and ESPN all have LSU ranked as the seventh best class in America Rivals has

LSU down at number 11 I’ll just go with seven that sounds good to everybody that’s what 13 247 ESPN thinking that’s a pretty solid class um it finishes up as I mentioned with Dominick McKinley who is one of the if not the most highly coveted prospects in this class uh on

Three’s got him ranked as the 24th best player in the country 247 says he’s the 18th best player in the country ESPN says he’s the 17th best country player in the country rival says he’s the 12th best player in the country all of them have ranked him as a five-star Prospect

It is difficult to ask freshman to come into a football program and play on the defensive line it’s difficult to ask him to play Anywhere But defensive line offensive line quarterback probably the three that I would point to the most quickly and say that’s really hard to do

I would maybe look at running back maybe wide receiver or Corner as something that may be a little bit easier to assimilate to so well I would love to sit here and tell you that oh Dominic mckenley absolutely solidifies LSU’s defensive tackle depth they just they’ve lost Mason Smith and they’ve

Lost Makai Wingo but they bring in a five-star freshman I’m not going to quite sell you on that just yet do I think it’s likely he has to play some snaps next year I do do I have massive expectations on what a true freshman five star is going to do on the interior

Defensive line I do not um and Brian Kelly addressed that earlier today in his press conference he met with the media about 45 minutes ago and said look um it’s a huge cherry on the top of this class to get Dominick mckenley that’s a huge deal but defensive tackle is

Something that we’re going to have to address in the spring transfer portal window and he he made no bones about that and I believe him when when he brings that up that’s absolutely something LSU is going to have to do and there’s no way of knowing who’s going to

Be in the transfer portal in the spring I would suggest it’s far more likely that a really quality player is there after the in the December window than it is in after Spring football I think most people have kind of put their Roots down where going to be for the spring

Semester moving into the summer into the fall right now but you never know so you got to take a look at uh at where things are I say that because coaching changes happen position coaches changing happens all that kind of stuff shakes up more so

In December than it does in April or May but you never know and LSU will certainly have their eyes and ears open um in that spring transfer portal window but this class um highlighted by of course Dominic McKinley trade as green the Superstar um tight end from right here

In the Baton Rouge area who is 6 foot6 and long and rangy and presents matchup nightmares he adds to a tight end room that looks really really quality at this point when Brian Kelly took over there were no tight ends you had basically Cole Taylor who decided to leave and

Then you had Mason Taylor get in there kid and that was basically it um now they have overhauled that position and you’ve seen the progression of Mason Taylor and you’ve seen a couple of true freshmen last year who showed up and and played pretty well when they were asked

To do so and then you had tryes green right behind them that all of a sudden becomes basically a position of of strength for you uh I love the addition of Kaden Durham in this class I think that’s the type of talent that LSU has churned through at the running back spot

For the better part of three decades and that should be the standard LSU and I think Kaden Durham know plays to that he’s got unbelievable speed while he’s a little bit shorter in stature he’s filled out really nicely I think he’s got a really really bright future and I

Like him in this class Gabe reord another Texas A&M flip got Dominick mckenley to flip they got Gabe reliford to flip that’s a treport product Shout out uh Evangel product who is another defensive lineman that they really really needed he’s already on campus now if you were looking at the Instagram

Reels last week he got up to 20 miles an hour running wind Sprints that’s a pretty athletic dude on the defensive line I think he’s a huge pach to this class Weston Davis a another Texas A&M flip they weren’t able to get busy but they got a few of them and they got

Weston Davis as one of them he’s rated as a festar prospect by on three you want to see some really impressive stuff from Weston Davis it’s not the football highlights I would direct you to the basketball highlights very good of Weston Davis and that’s a guy who as all

Brian Kelly offensive line signes tend to be is long and lean and athletic and has a frame to fill out and you think could be a really really strong tackle Prospect moving forward in this class and then a guy that was really late riser in this class but I wanted to

Mention as one of the headliners because of what he did on the camp circuit and you know in the seven on seven circuit is kylin bot who is from H goes to tabone he’s got the measurables you would want as a wide receiver he’s 6’3

190 lb you put a 15 lbs on him you’re talking about a a 63 205lb receiver who blew up on the camp circuit running routes High pointing the ball showing his athleticism showing that he’s worked on his technique um Louisiana tends to produce really really good athletes and

And really good wide receivers and we’ve seen him roll through LSU for a long time and most of them hail from the state of Louisiana whether it’s Odell and Jarvis or Jamar Chase and Terrace Marshall and Justin Jefferson and you just saw Malik neighbors and Brian Thomas like all these guys are Louisiana

Products Kyle and Bot right there in that mold and I think maybe kind of an under the radar guy when he did commit to LSU but no longer when you look at what he did going up against his peers um in the summer circuit he was was

Fantastic so and he was also aw awesome at that All-American Game so I think that’s kind of the top end of this class for me Don McKinley Trey as green Kaden Durham Gabe Wellford Weston Davis kin bot it R rarely works out that the highest rated players in your class turn

In to be the most impactful there’s always a couple of three stars or an underrated four star that pops up and becomes a star and they’re generally speaking a five star two that should come in and don’t necessarily live up to expectations and we all know in the air

Of the transfer portal that you never know exactly what you’ve got for the next 3 years but Brian Kelly has made this abundantly clear he wants to build with high school players that stay in the program for three and four years inevitably some of them are going to leave and inevitably sometimes you’re

Going to have to add some from the transfer portal which LSU has done with six this year but he’s going to lean towards 25 to 30 high schoolers a year with a handful of transfers as opposed to the Old Miss situation where they’re going to sign 14 or 15 high schoolers

And then go get 20 transfers it’s It’s Different Strokes for different folks obviously you kind of decide the way you want to handle things Brian Kelly has decided this is how he wants to handle them and this class looks to be pretty pretty salty on paper top 10 top seven

By three of the uh of the services number 11 via rival so we don’t expect anything else today of course you can all remember even the young people that listen to the show the days where this day in February was just an absolute mad house people taking off work wall

Ground they are 79 and 37 in SEC games that is a 68% winning clip uh they’ve been to two sweet 16s never been to the Elite 8 under Rick Barnes he continuously puts a really good product on the floor they haven’t made that Deep Run just yet and I think that frustrates

Some people up there in Knoxville but it’s a quality team each and every year and this one is certainly no different they’re 16 and5 on the season they’re 6-2 in SEC plays they are 10 and one at home that one loss being to South Carolina a couple of weeks ago they

Played a a really impressive non-conference schedule they beat Michigan State by a point they won at Wisconsin by 10 they beat a Syracuse team that drubbed LSU they beat them by 17 they beat Illinois by seven there are three losses in the non-conference pretty salty teams Kansas uh by nine

Points Purdue the number one team in the country uh by four and then North Carolina who’s had a nice go of it in the ACC to this point under hubus Davis that Hubert Davis that was an eight-point loss so Kansas Purdue and North Carolina not terrible teams uh to

Lose from to I I um I look at a lot of numbers in during basketball season um it’s just a way that I kind of prepare myself to talk about teams I look at everything from shooting percentage to Def offensive and defensive efficiency to offensive rebounding percentage to

Possessions played and I look at a lot of Statistics it’s just the way that I ingest my basketball information and Tennessee is gorgeous to look at on paper they really are um you’re talking about a team that is 37th in the country in offensive efficiency when you’re

Talking about 360 plus teams like being 37th is pretty good they’re 18th in the country in defensive efficiency um Jimmy tells us that all the time if you want to win the National Championship in college basketball you need to be top 40 maybe even top 30 in both of those

Metrics just about all the Champions are and Tennessee is knocking on that door um they’re 39th in the country in points per game they’re 13th in the country in assist to turnover ratio that’s fantastic um they’re 40th in the country in offensive rebounding percentage that’s a good number as well on the

Defensive side of things they are third in America in opponent shooting percentage they’re fourth in America an opponent two point per shooting percentage see I look at a lot of numbers they do foul a little bit they’re 158th in the country in terms of fouls so they’re aggressive they’re

Physical the one thing that that jumps out to me when I look at this roster and even when I watch them because I’m familiar with these players having seen them for three and four years now they are just incredibly old they’re so old for a college basketball team Santiago vasavi has started

131 college games he started 131 games jiah Jordan James has started 108 games not played in started Jonas Adu has played in 75 games zakai zagler 86 games played like these guys are old and not that Jaylen cook is Young not that will Baker is Young LSU is pretty

Old too but these Tennessee guys have been together for a long time these guys have all kind of grown up in this program and whether he did it intentionally or not Rick Barnes has kind of assembled a team full of really good college players that aren’t good

Enough to make that jump to the NBA I’m sure he’d rather have Zion Williamson for a year at Tennessee like they had him at Duke but he’s just got guys who are content to hang around in college and they formed a really really good team the name I didn’t mention there

Because he didn’t grow up with these guys but he’s old and he’s great is Dalton connect he’s the only player on Tennessee’s roster that is averaging 11.6 points per game or more now he’s averaging 17 but he’s getting way more than that in League Play they’re having real issues guarding Dalton connect in

SEC play some of these Point totals are are pretty jarring to look at um when you consider the level that the SEC is playing at I mean he had 28 against Mississippi State and that was a light snack cuz after that he went for 36 on

Georgia 39 on Florida he scored 25 on Alabama 32 on Vanderbilt 31 on South Carolina Kentucky slowed him down a little bit he only scored 16 in his last timeout which may smell bad news for LSU but dton connect is going to get his shots up there’s no question about it

He’s a he’s a prolific College scorer at this point I don’t know that I would call him a super efficient college score it took 24 Shots against South Carolina 23 shots against Florida 20 shots against Georgia like he’s getting a bunch of shots up and he’s going to get

Some shots up in the NBA next year it’s a 66 Wing he’s pretty prototypical for the modern NBA he’s going to play along the perimeter a lot he can put it on the deck but he can shoot it from anywhere in the range is not limited so this is a

Guy that LSU is going to have to deal with immediately when he crosses midcourt whether that’s I think probably a Jordan Wright assignment because he’s got the length to stay with with him and it’s not like connect is some kind of elite athlete he’s a good athlete but

He’s not John Morant out there um he’s he’s the guy you’ve got to deal with he can really really score the question I asked myself as I started to dive into these numbers is how does LSU play Tennessee close Tennessee is really good on offense they’re really

Good on defense they got one of the best homecourt environments in the SEC it’s the biggest arena in the SEC it’ll be pretty full tonight because they’ve got a good team and an exciting player to watch like how do they do it and so immediately I well South Carolina did it

What did they do well it’s easier said than done South Carolina held Tennessee to five of 21 from the three Tennessee missed 37 field goals in the game and they only rebounded nine of them offensively they just didn’t shoot it very well now South Carolina’s good on defense they are that’s they’re

They’re Hallmark this year Under lont Paris and that’s why they’ve got themselves toward the top of the SEC standings right there with Alabama and Tennessee but it’s one of those deals that and you hear me say this all the time and throughout the course of a

Season I feel like a broken record at times but there are some things I honestly truly believe in and so I I bring them up time to time throughout the course of the season if you play 18 League games which everyone in the SEC does there are going to be two or three

Where you’re unconscious unless you had one on Saturday will Baker couldn’t miss you’re going to have one two or three where you’re unconscious you’re going to have two or three where you just can’t make anything and I think that that that game in Knoxville where South Carolina

Held this potent Tennessee team to 59 points was one of those days where Tennessee just couldn’t throw it in the ocean I’m not dismissing South Carolina’s defense entirely but it’s just one of those deals I I think that Tennessee is far closer to the team that’s scoring 8990

100 points in some of these League games than they are the team that scored 59 on South Carolina South Carolina I think caught them on the correct night there are some teams that have not they scored 85 on Florida they scored 91 on Alabama that’s they scored 103 on

Kentucky I don’t think they’ll score 100 I they could I don’t think they’ll score 100 I think they’re closer to the team that knocks on 90s door than the team that can’t crack 60 so I realize that’s not super awesome news for you the LSU fan that goes well how they keep it

Close well hunt tell us well hopefully they just can’t shoot like that’s it’s not super enlightening or encouraging I just kind of think it is and quite frankly I have said since the start of league play that there are a few games on LSU schedule I just don’t

Give them a chance to win this is one of them I hope they go up there and stun me I didn’t think they’d go to college station and win now Tennessee is significantly better than A&M but I don’t like LSU’s odds tonight and honestly I haven’t even looked at a

Number back pull up a point spread and let me know what that is I honestly have not looked at that this I’ve been looking at the vs and uh Tennesse 13 and a half Point favorite guess but yeah I mean 13 and a half that’s it’s a two

Touchdown spread uh on on this game and that feels right um you need if your LSU well here’s one thing I want to see from LSU tonight did Will Baker find something on Saturday I don’t think he’ll score 25 tonight he may not score 25 again can he

Score 16 like is that too much to ask can he knock down three more threes and force bigs to go out and guard him I’d like to see if Will Baker can progress I know what Jaylen cook is capable of I know what Jordan wri is capable of I’m capable of I’m seeing

Mike Williams shoot 44% in League Play From the three that is become a pretty Dependable offensive go-to I don’t know what will Baker is consistently because all he’s been to this point is inconsistent so if I can see some maturation there and and a followup performance of 16 17 18 points maybe he

Is turning a little bit of a corner realize that’s difficult to say for a fifth year player they’re turning a corner but let’s be honest like it hasn’t been great all year so that’s something I’m looking for and if LSU happens to catch a night where they’re blowing smoke and they’re hitting a

Bunch of Threes maybe you stay in it but my gut tells me this thing hovers around 10 early and then Tennessee separates in the second half and it’s just not one that I have super high expectations on I wish I had better news I could certainly

Sit here in sunshine pump and tell you the Tennessee’s beatable look South Carolina did it and look at the way LSU played in the first half against Arkansas and blew him out on Saturday and LSU’s gone on the road and beaten A&M and this is a team that can go there

And and can and can have a puncher chance but I’d be kind of lying to you like I just I have low expectations here’s how I’ll take the game in tonight um well first of all it’s at six so Myers is probably going to be out of

Control at that point that’s not a great uh great hour at my home but if he weren’t going nuts and throwing food all over the floor and screaming uh then I would take this game in on the couch with very little nerves or anxiety which is not preferred I would rather be just

Absolutely miserably nervous because it’s so such a high stakes game but I will take this in with minimal expectation and if LSU gets run away from in the first half well it got to I’m just asking you to get one of the next five if they can find a way to stay

In it and keep me interested that’d be great but again this starts a five game stretch for LSU that includes Tennessee and Alabama and at Florida and at South Carolina and Kentucky at home and like it’s really tough so I’m just asking for one if you want to get it tonight great

Sudden he defected and went to live and he did those ridiculous Fox News interviews dressed in a letter jacket or a bomber jacket or whatever the hell and he looked like a hostage doing it which is essentially what he is now um but he knew what he was doing here

And I think I don’t know I I know all that stuff I think he just thought well they’ve made this agreement in December and they’re going to come together I’ll just take the huge pile of cash and I’ll be back on the PJ tour in 10 minutes I think

Trinsky had late in the season and it it was certainly bigger than I would have anticipated previously and I think as now I look back at it I don’t quite get how big a deal it was because you think about Cruz and you think about white you

Think about the big boso home runs and skes and Ty Floyd and aenh you think about kind of the huge moments hay jinsky had a huge moment in Oxford No Doubt with the the three-run Homer to give LSU the lead in the ninth inning with two outs of that game in Oxford but

Dalton connect has done um I mean he had the scoring pedigree he’s a Colorado high school kid undiz didn’t have the grades went Jo went to Northern Colorado because his juk recruitment was the covid era and just didn’t really have those opportunities and he scored everywhere he’s been but you still

Wonder all right well he’s taking a big jump now to the SEC after playing the Big Sky and he’s done even better in the SEC these is in the Big Sky um it’s been pretty incredible to watch and quite a story too for for Tennessee and connect

Was there any Buzz about him in the summer or you know pre season with scrimmages and stuff that hey this guy might might be might be pretty special yeah there was uh there was a lot of it um just maybe maybe more around Tennessee than in even a regional

Capacity um I think there was a gun shyness for for Tennessee folk to buy in on it just because the the portal guys that that have been brought in before like oh you know Justin Powell from Auburn scorer NOP Didn’t Do It um Victor Bailey Jr scorer didn’t really do it um

So I think there was a tentative like is this guy gonna be the guy um but there was Buzz you know they had their Foreign Tour this year in Italy and Dalton scored a lot of points at those games um so there was an expectation he was going

To score now we you expecting like four 30o games and 20o Hales all over the place absolutely not uh I mean that’s he was averaging 28 and a half in SEC play before Kentucky on Saturday you couldn’t have expected that in any Planet what’s option b for Tennessee offensively

Outside of connect who’s been so good yeah I mean I think that’s the question is which one is it going to be on a game- to game basis I think it should be zakai zegler on a regular basis but it’s kind of been a cyclical you know Batman

And Robin deal with Dalton’s number one is it going to be zakai zagler is it going to be Josiah Jordan James is it going to be Jonas ad do that the upside with Tennessee is they’ve got a lot of those options but they do need to know consistently I think who that second

One’s going to be who the third one’s going to be but I do think the best candidate is the kai Zigler South Carolina is better than really anybody expected them to be certainly uh but holding Tennessee to 59 points in Thompson Bowling Arena is pretty impressive what was wrong that

Night uh Miss layups would would have been a big one the BS were eight of 22 at the rim and I honestly I I counted a few more that were not counted as layups but counted as jumpers whatever you want to call them in the live stat um they

Knoxville forever it seems like he was playing against will wade back in the day um so what is his role on this team yeah you know that was been an that was an interesting one going into the year um because santi’s been kind of the

Number one guy for a while now um you know two-time first team all player coming into a team though with you know they’ve got Dalton connect now so it’s a little bit of a different role and I think maybe the past five to six games he’s really settled in um I thought he

Was excellent at Kentucky on Saturday think he had 11 points on only four shots he’s making his offense count um he’s just such a steady and consistent player I mean the vs know what they’re going to get from him defensively they know what they can count on offensively

You want him to be a little bit more aggressive at points probably um you you can count on Santiago vesy and that’s probably the best thing that Rick Barnes and his staff can say about him defensively what’s the identity of this club that’s generally a Hallmark of of Rick Barn’s

Teams yeah make life really hard is is definitely it um and I think that’s you know the Intriguing element of this Tennessee team is they’re still playing that that defense that they’ve played the past few years I think they’re number three in Ken pal right now but

They’ve paired it with a better offense you know your your margin for err is different your your feelings higher when you talk about that but yeah I mean they pressure they play hard uh zakai zler Jami majer two really good defensive guards um Josiah Jordan James Santiago

Vesy give a lot of toughness versatility uh and Jonas a do block some shots so I think that’s that’s a piece they didn’t have as much of the past couple years but they have more of that now that Jonas a do LSU in Tennessee tonight 6 o’clock Central Time uh things will tip

Kentucky even though I I’ve just questioned their defense far too much um Tennessee I think it’s the best team in the league and that’s going to be a tough assignment I don’t know that the environment is quite in Knoxville what it is in Auburn uh but the team is

On 1045 ESPN Baton Rouge the Saints quickly after the season made the decision to shake some things up on the offensive side of the ball and obviously part of way is with Pete carmichel after 17 years in the organization and made a couple of other quote unquote minor changes but they did

Leave a couple of guys in place on the offensive side of the ball Doug Marrone was left on the offensive line and Ronald Curry was left as the quarterback’s coach and Curry uh by reports did interview for the offensive coordinator job um we know now that Clint kubak will be announced as the

Offensive coordinator following the Super Bowl and he’ll come in and with that announcement we learned that Doug Marone will not be with the Saints moving forward and I I think we had talked about that kind of at length um just saying look this is a group where

The Saints have invested a lot and the performance level has been unacceptable for the amount of investment that the Saints have put into it so I wasn’t surprised at all to see Doug Marone moved out once Clint kubak got the job and you’ll understand that he’ll start

To fill his his staff with some people that he’s familiar with and comfortable working with we did not know what the situation would be with with Ronald Curry and now we do uh the Saints have moved on from Ronald curry in fact he has already landed a job in Buffalo with

The bills he’s going to be working with the quarterbacks there um look I’m not going to sit here and suggest that I have a full grasp on Ronald Curry’s role with the New Orleans Saints I can tell you he’s been there since 2016 he was an offensive assistant he then worked with

The wide receivers in 2018 through 2020 he became the quarterback’s coach in 2021 he got the passing game coordinator label last year um so he’s worked his way up undoubtedly and Saints valued him undoubtedly um that’s why you continue to promote folks get them pay raises and

Get them more involved he’s a guy that Shawn pton brought in and once Pete Carmichaels handed the keys they elevated him so the Saints have felt really good about Ronald Curry’s role he’s called some plays in the preseason and was considered uh to be the offensive coordinator once that job came

Open I have even though I don’t know exactly what Ronald Curry’s role is or how good a coach he is or what the players have to say about him or any of those things um I do feel like it’s best that the Saints go outside the organization and they have with Clint

Kubak I think the Saints have gotten stuck in the mud a little bit by continuing to elevate people internally because the results do not suggest that continuing down this path is a good thing you’re a 500 football program you need to elevate from that how do you get from seven wins or eight

Wins to 11 wins I don’t think it’s from just keeping all the same people together and just hoping that the next year is great so I think it’s very good that the Saints moved on and got Clint kubak I would have criticized the move to elevate Ronald Curry and that’s maybe

Unfair because of my lack of understanding for exactly what his role is in the Saints offense but I tend to think that once Shawn pton and Drew Brees moved on keeping everybody else around and expecting that result is unrealistic it’s obvious that Ronald Curry is very respected because within

24 hours of moving on from the Saints he already had a job with one of the better organizations running in the NFL right now and that’s Buffalo but Clint kubak getting his guys in there and running his system with his people feels like the best way to go it doesn’t guarantee success

It does not guarantee you that you’re going to look like the 49ers on offense because you got their passing game coordinator quarterbacks coach to come in and handle your offense but I think your odds of elevating your franchise and your offense to a level that competes for the division wins the

Division and makes some noise in the playoffs is best by adding people from the outside Ronald Curry was a heck of a player at North Carolina he was drafted in the seventh round hung around in the NFL for seven years then was an offensive assistant with San Francisco and he was with the

Saints offense for eight years but I just think the best thing for the Saints to do is to move on from Doug Marone certainly and from Ronald Curry and that’s what they’re going to do and we’ll see who Clint kubak wants to to hire is Brian greasy somebody he’d like to

Bring and Elevate his title I don’t know he’s worked at a few different organizations he may have some folks in mind but I just there’s something in me that says hey the best thing for the Saints to do is to get a whole new gang in here to spice something up I’m not

Suggesting the defense is perfect but the the defense has outperformed the offense for the most part and Dennis Allen’s running that show so as long as you’ve got him as the head coach your defense is going to be run a certain way with certain people the offense is where

Things can get a little more creative and it just feels to me like moving on from Pete carmichel moving on from Doug Marone and even in this case moving on from Ronald Curry is a good thing for the Saints we won’t find out who Clint kubak wants on his staff probably for

Another week and a half I mean they’ve got a a pretty big game to get ready for on Sunday that they’ve got to deal with and then the dust settles there and it’s not like college where you got to get there and you got to get to

Recruiting get that staff filled out and go like you’ve got time to make this happen so in the same way that the Saints had time to get their pick at offensive coordinator the offensive coordinator not Clint kubak has time to surround himself with people that he’s comfortable with I don’t know how much

Input he wants if any from Derek Carr I don’t know how much input Dennis Allen gets but you figure if you’re selling a guy on a chance to come and and be the head guy on the offense that he’s going to have the most say on who works with

Him and I don’t know if he decided Ronald Curry wasn’t the right fit or if that was a Dennis Allen decision or if Ronald Curry thought he had gone as high as he was going to go in the Saints organization and wanted to try something new that those details are clear at this

Point but I just I think it’s positive I didn’t have a lot to say positive about the Saints after Halloween I really didn’t and I still don’t think that there’s some sort of Renaissance coming but when I criticize the way that I have the way that they’ve operated and they do something

Different objectively like I have to sit there and go okay you got to give him credit for that and it’s a good sign to me that the Saints have finally relinquished the pieces that were the breeze Payton Saints stop clinging to that it’s dead get some fresh blood in there and

That’s what they’ve done I think it’s a a promotion of Ronald Curry just smacks of same old Saints trying to do the same old thing without the same old people this is new this is fresh this is a restart and I think it gives the Saints the best chance moving forward so

We’ll see over the next week week and a half who Clint kubak brings with him and we’ll certainly react to that here but the news of the day is that Ronald Curry who’s been a part of the Saints organization since the 2016 season is moving on he will be in Buffalo kubak
