Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Rock Hill South Carolina for the United States distance Championship joined by Paul ulber I’m Jeremy coing and we are here in beautiful conditions here preparing for the United States this Golf Championship today we have the distance contest absolutely and uh we
Have people from all over the world competing today and we’ve already SE some seen some bombs we have uh a lot of the biggest throwers coming up very soon I’m excited about that we have a favorable win today too left to right crosswind we have a little down slope as
Well and we uh it’s not that tight so they can launch it up there and you do have to keep it in bounce we do have a pretty wide Fairway but of course all distance throwers each player is going to get a set of five throws and they’re
Going to have to keep it in between the Fairway for the distance to count we are playing for a pretty cool prize today there’s two things in the line for each player as as far as monetarily we got $1600 for first place in the men’s division 750 for women’s division both
Champions in each division will win a firman generator but maybe the coolest thing is that they’ll be able to compete on Sunday at the distance competition as soon as the disc golf tournament concludes the king master competition thrown across Lake winrop has been a tradition going back several decades
Here in Rock Hill yeah you couldn’t have said it better Priceless opportunity right there I would guess that the people who have been able to participate in that including yourself you won’t find adrenaline that high in anything that you do in dis Golf and we have Ellie Ezra
Up yeah we do I mean this is the start of I feel like the next generation of distance Champions no question I haven’t seen form like this in a very long time as far as the aggressive nature that throws with 44 right there and she didn’t she didn’t flip it at all yeah
This is something um it’s it’s beautiful and violent at the same time pretty good at this thing join obviously she gets it up it is turning this might be five R this is going to be this might be five yeah this is 500t folks oh it’s 540 yeah that’s that’s
Annihilated you know when a distance thrower starts laughing at their own throw they got a hold of it that’s a good one right there folks what are they playing for J well today 503 cracking into the 500s a lot on the line slip to a little bit of a headwind I don’t know
If this is going to be this one turns and it’s carrying Paul it’s a little high yeah I feel like maybe the wind switched a bit on oh that is still out there Paul is that more I think that might be more than the 503 it’s going to be a close one
536 500 36 ft what a way to get props here from Ella Hansen her probably her biggest competition who just turned around and walked away all right she’s got to go get focused after that on the launch pad we have Sanda what an incredible start for the
Women’s division here El Ezra coming out winning world’s distance this year yeah in the field events on her birthday an incredible day for her trying to make it another incredible day here welcome on my birthday October drone those guys will give you a thumbs up that’s the only thing you got to wait
Or on your second shot too is when the drone’s behind you then you’re good to go at your own pace today it’s going to be key angle control especially with that left to right wind yep and a little bit of height you really have to match
The height of the disc with the angle to your arm speed that’s the key to the distance competition and obviously that differs from player to player let’s see if can do dis selection is just as important as all the other mechanics to get a disc that will properly ride with
The left to right Tailwind you need to go a little bit less stable than you’re traditionally used to with golf distance because this is not about accuracy here we do have to keep it in the confines of the Fairway but this is all about just letting it rip and seeing how much this
Disc can glide and soar yes solid start right down the middle a traditional setup here 384 throw number one 384 each player with a set of five discs usually the best rule of thumb is to try to get your most reliable disc in bounds get a shot out
There get a mark and then let your next four shots be the ones that allow you to get that real big distance she has a lot of potential here that was all higher probably pretty close to her first one who and that first one did turn a little
Bit so if we can match that get it out to the left put a little turn on it 86 throw number two she’s going to be able to get at least 60 feet farther than that I’m not exactly sure what canan’s distance uh potential is for her maximum
Distance but I think the 536 feet that we just saw from elezra is kind of like the women’s division is I mean I don’t want to say they’re chasing the ghost but that was an incredible Mark to start off with only a handful of people that come to mind can
Can reach that I feel like honestly all time you know I mean and Jennifer Allen has the at like right there for sign on if she can get to that 450 Mark I feel like that’s a big time win absolutely and a very limited run up there just kind of keeping control of
The disc yeah got one more take your time the adrenaline that gets going through you too um you’re kind of in the zone and you forget how many have gone it seems like time’s going so fast yes it’s really stay focused take your time if I was coaching any of these
Players the number one advice I would give them is slow down yep and without further Ado we’re going to get into another top contender in the women’s division we’ve got evina Solon from Finland one of the best players off the tea in the world yeah really of all
Time I mean her driving statistics are always topnotch in every single tournament that she plays is known for her power as well let’s see if she can get one I’m guessing around 400 to 470 is that is that cuss right from what I’ve seen favorable win like we said
About to say we have a we have a good it’s a mostly tail but it’s a little bit left to right the only win this is going to dramatically hurt would be a lefty but really there aren’t too many lefties in the competition who are in contention
As being the longest throwers uh only a few players I can think of even have that kind of of power Austin Turner one of those guys who’s not even playing obviously dealing with a hurt arm right now and she’s going to be chasing the
Distance of 536 ft so she has to get on one she wants any shot at getting that tire first one up and looking good Paul this one’s turning remaining straight you know what that is right there Paul that is a perfect golf distance line yeah if evina wants to compete for the
Win she’s going to have to get the disc a bit higher throw something maybe a little bit less overstable something that will hold the Turn like I like I said I feel like 464 5470 could be what we’re looking at there it is she’s gotten over on it a little bit more just a little bit too low but I like that she got the first one out there as a safe distance just to
Be in the competition Y the second one she tried to get a little bit more she’s just got to kind of lean back a little bit and let that disc go up at the tree line aome throw almost 405 midl OHL 418 through3 418 one of the Staples here at
Any distance competition here in Rock Hill is the DJ oh we got one in the air germ is it going to hold she yeah it’s high are not okay yeah that’s a pretty good one right there I think that might be past the 418 I think that’s probably in the
Neighborhood of 440 450 that would put her in second place right now so that would be a good number to Get I don’t think 48 48 I’m surprised I don’t think anybody’s catching that 536 that would be mindblowing to me well one of the things that elzra does so well is that oh here we go stay up elzra is able to control an understable disc with Hiser and throwing it high
Controlling the nose of the disc to tip at that right point and let it just turn and glide and carry and that’s something that we don’t see a lot of the top distance throwers do it in the FB division for all right next up we have an
Absolute Contender for this and that is Holland Hanley who is oh I like that oh that’s just a angle right away that hit all the key points that you were explaining height so good angle speed full ride nice Ri so that right there even though that was perfect
As far as getting that’s a perfect first shot yes the absolute best possible distance is going to be the 461 throw number one 461 is a solid number for a start for holl and Hanley but the perfect distance that you’re looking for is a disc that’s coming to the ground
Flat you’re not looking look for the disc toer at the end because if you do that is untapped potential there you want to get a disc starting out left that turns and Fades all the way to the right edge of the Fairway a little too much turn on this
One but the similar shape you see what I’m saying pushing it out to the left side of the Fairway making it move all the way right that’s when you’re getting the absolute most possible ride out of the disc I Holland with her third throw of a golf
Shot Y golf line you know there’s nothing wrong with that no a lot of players think that they have to throw the big impressive David wigin style big high anheiser some players most potential is with the golf line because that’s the shot they throw the most regular of another player well known for
Her ability off the te both backhand and forehand power with both also one of the a few players in disc golf history to record an albatross one’s just fading out a little bit too soon there but a good set there for Holland especially with that first throw getting one out there put putting
A number up there and and honestly I can’t think of too many more players competing today in the women’s division that can knock her out aside from Ella Hansen who is going to be a big time contender in this all right Paul we talked about it we’ve got couple
Contenders left this is one of them hna blomerus from Finland another one of the players who is known for their driving prowess she’s been a contender in so many big tournaments this year and last year she’s doing it without a side arm you know Holland has it from both sides
Henna is a backhand specialist look at the smooth oh as she falls and still gets the disc off on the perfect line absolutely crushed oh my goodness and that’s with a slip nice R we’re talking 450 with a slip if not more more I have to right out the gate
But check the flags right now throw number one check the flags little side cross they’re just not really blowing right now it’s just a little bit calm okay second throw and she’s matched the line beautifully maybe a little more conservative to not fall down again it’s another good
Shot we need that to catch a Glide straight right I think what she should wait for right now is to see if the wind can pick up it’s almost a headwind yeah it’s it’s not the same win that we saw when elzra threw her 536 foot
Throw oh I like this one I like this one because because of how it’s pushing right but it still came out a little early yep yeah something that uh we can maybe teach some of our uh lesser experienced distance throwers is that if you have a headwind if you have a headwind going
The low golf line is preferred to the big high anher line if you’ve got the tail one left to right then that is ideal conditions to let let one loose this one a bit rush out of hna’s hand well you know this wind defin itely isn’t favoring a distance line right now it’s
Straight left to right in order for this wind to work you have to get it so high in the air over the trees nose has to get down and I just don’t think she has the power in order to ton of power that takes Elite level like David Wigan style
Power this is a good distance win for a player like him but yeah it takes Next Level power to control a disc at that height this is a good line though here Paul that’s the one you’ve been looking for oh and that’s on the come on come on
Come on run run run run trying toer back I think it’ser in time Paul nice Hannah the good thing isard in time I feel like that is the farthest down this hill go yeah sure maximum distance potential hitting that right side Fairway it highes it in Bound just in time they’re
Going to measure it and let’s see what number we get let’s it for 519 519 ft that’s the secret is getting it over to the right side same exact SP that we sawra just less of the big Mar and now getting in the top two has gotten a lot more
Difficult we were actually talking about this earlier but one of the Staples here in Rock Hill at the distance competition in the king master competition is MC and DJ Maan yep out here calling all the names out and we have got huge Power Player Heidi Lina starting off with a
360 blasted at high a little bit 700 let’s mark where it stops rolling huh oh he grabbed it snag that was rolling clear 700 feet I think Paul we uh we mentioned some of the contenders that we had in our memories no disrespect to Heidi we should have mentioned her name because
This is a serious Contender no absolutely but I feel like that’s going to be in every division that we have there’s going to be people were like oh yeah I forgot this person bombs let’s see if she can get the angle right like we said earlier I think the wind
Has switched a little bit that’s too much angle J Too Much angle little too flippy out here throwing Clash super highspeed disc just needs a tiny bit more stability you’re not looking for it to get the full flex line you just want something that will flatten out and ride the line ride the
Heighty line one throw left the height is it gonna hold over it’s gonna heer and drop out of the sky just couldn’t quite get all the elements right good effort and I like that she committed to the 360 that’s a very aggressive win switch right here
Straight headwin oh my gosh yeah it is straight headwind you know we haven’t met one bit we haven’t mentioned our current leader in that men’s division the 2023 United States amateur disc golf champion Ryan Moulder who threw 654 654 ft yeah but look at that look at that arm speed that’s what’s really
Impressive 77 miles hour from The Young CID 77 is getting up there with some of the elite players for sure and Ryan Moulder smaller in stature he’s no more than 150 pounds and he is out there packing a punch with his form and releas deliver Ella Hansen the last great Contender I think
We have here in this competition today see why yeah that is good start oh that thing stayed over for so long I thought it was going to drift out of bounds it held over for a long way and that right there might be enough to put her into the finals on
Sunday or is it this evening this evening 49 number one that puts her in for the finals this evening and that bumps Holland Handley out now Ella can try to break the 536 foot Mark that one’s not going to do it there but only 40t short that first one and
She went to the high left side if she can find a way to get this disc to continue drifting to the right side of the Fairway she might be in contention for taking down elzra off the top such a strong upper body Ella has does this one
Hold over not quite enough this time but we got the wind1 this one’s going to be a lot more than that final throw oh and she got it I I think JM I think she got it oh yeah is that cooked that’s cooked on the right side as well ah it
Drift it kind of got real heavy y real heavy at the end of the flight the the initial flight was really nice with a legacy dating back to 2001 Sun King discs has been instrumental in advancing disc golf across Florida the US and Beyond partnering with and hosting over
500 events including the famous throw down the mountain we are dedicated to Bringing joy to players from all walks of life explore our extensive disc selection at sunking disks.com and enjoy free shipping on orders of $50 or more sunc discs believe in a better way what’s up Julie hey man we got the
Big guy up next big germ Jeremy coing what do you think his potential is today I don’t know he seems like he’s been maybe sitting for a little bit we’ll see he probably got some good been sitting for about 6 seven years it seems like he somehow I feel like he always
Surprises me I’m like yeah he probably can only throw like 250 maybe you know on a good day if I would give an honest assessment of what I think his potential is 650 he has that in there he really does it depends on the wind the wind is
Switched from a left to right cross kind of tail and it’s been switching on you guys to almost a headwind yeah it was it was looking a little head windy before I threw I was I was getting a little stressed but I just I’m just glad I beat
Holland you know you got in there got toer my dominance do you know is there any other um contestants in your I think that’s it I think I think I’m on to the final that feels pretty good feels pretty good well he’s been talking about it all
Day he knows what he has to do height good disc selection speed don’t fall down he’s been watching yeah up up front there there’s a little bit of freshly cut grass it’s not the most uh grippy surface oh yeah we got a nice headwind perfect for germ he’s definitely stalling out he’s
Changing the wind pattern right now that’s smart I haven’t seen this technique before seen that one either I I hope it’ll work out for him your tail wi there it is there it is here it is why’d you throw the flippy one first huh oh okay that’s looking good good H
Is it going to come back might be yeah it’s coming oh it’s coming that is a absolutely n all right 74 miles hour what is that former former this is going to get him into the finals right now I believe it’s only 30 bucks 6
One0 was worth $20 so okay give for 625 that gets him in as we stand yeah top five for men into the final top six all right all right all right he needs he needs he needs that 650 though yeah he does he’s got it how’s that
Looking oh this looks good he was running all that late flip come on thing is charging too wo all right got the spot’s backing up I feel like that’s I don’t know if that’s far though the idea is to make him run Jer make him run don’t make him just Skip Hop
Backwards hey throw the good one yeah don’t waste your Tailwind hurry up 603 you owe us some money here wind’s ripping 650 he needs 650 for a Chance oh I like it I love it left side hold keep going wind lift nah not a chance he needs more anheiser man hey it’s a Tailwind charger oh he’s trying to trick trying to get some trick 52 525 left eight get it to the right side get that
Flex over come on JM the wind did stop he wasted it oh actually get it over to the right slow run up I don’t know if that’s going to work oh it’s not stable it’s not high enough nope damn let’s for Big J Jer pretty good 610 ft what he’s in uh
That’s going to put him in fifth place which is uh Justin it’s Justin we have Jacob Curtis from Winter Park California Warner Park I could hear you Maan it’s cupcake cupcake right home all right we got cupcake here one of the one of the more violent throwers
You’re ever going to see you guys are in for a treat no doubt this guy can absolutely Hammer the disc this is fun to watch watch us oh my gosh see you oh my y I think he might have just knocked you into sixth place
Yeah I was in fifth oh no that’s not it I mean Rush uh yeah those guys did not know what to expect and they just went on a little jog I’m curious to see what the speed is cupcake is ready to throw again and they’re saying hey dude hang on it’s
Going to take the drone5 throw number one really 73 mph so it’s not that much speed really for that much distance it looks like it though doesn’t even go to the line just says I will throw it 700 feet from back here watch me that’s 74 I love the
Speed I just love seeing how fast I love the fact that his hair with his head kind of looks like a cupcake I mean it’s the whole thing is just the whole package 415 oh that’s the height that is that’s my disc too see he’s never even thrown
This thing before oh it’s stalling out he’s never even thrown this thing before and just out the gate to it over 600t with full Flex again you’re looking for that to drift right the whole way but just the understanding of a disc to just grab it for the first time and throw
It and let’s see how much distance he gets 594 not too badow number three he needs to get this right now this is his Halo boss that he actually has a video shot of him in San Diego throwing over 700 feet we’ll see if he can control this
Thing oh this is such a good distance line oh he made him turn around again Paul we’ve got a I don’t even want to call him a sleeper because I think most players that know him at this point recognize Jake kenimer as an absolutely massive thrower out of Missouri on the
Throwing not only massive throw but he does it on the course he has golf distance on the elite level yeah I think he’s one of the people who have uh the biggest what what is that statistic for scor scoring oh the power power the PPI Power Precision index there you go
Yep and this is something I didn’t know uh and I haven’t done the research behind this you got to put one in bounce but you got to put one in bounds for it to count gone second one that’s going to be in bounds Paul no what I was going to
Say is actually Avery Jenkins one time told me as Hees has got got this one out there I think that might that might be I think I think I’m out of the competition now Paul I think that might be 620 yeah that’s 610 is no longer on the
Bubble he’s right side is lower hit that right side 633 633 it’s nice knowing you guys now I can focus back on commentary it was a good dream uh but Avery Jenkins was telling me that the longest thank you shabby just reminding everyone that I just got knocked out um
Avery said that the longest that you’ll ever throw is when you’re actually not fully stretched out when you’re still tight and the muscles are tight they pull through faster again I am not a muscle doctor or a muscle scientist so I’m not exactly G to say uh don’t put
That one on me if you get hurt don’t get hurt 5 five1 give yourself a little stretching of course 5 five1 and that didn’t even get over that wasn’t even a good throw he need not for him he just going golf line and that’s overturned and low but 6 this roller is
Going to go 700 feet yeah this is a this is a serious Contender here I would be surprised if the wind doesn’t if the wind stays good we’re looking at in the 600s no problem Oh my God it’s turning late it’s turning late this is not going to get
Into the 600s quite but you can see right off the bat a good control of angle release out of the hand and a lot of power to boot two throw number one 527 no Glide all right so let’s let’s keep a look at the uh keep an eye on the
Monitor here underestimated what he could do after I just saw that yes see what he’s got here calm wind oh my gosh this is so 76 milph oh this is a new leader this is the new leader is it still turning this is the new
Leader that’s got to be oh my God that is just absolutely so much more potential so much more potential that hazard out that Hazard and we had the whole crowd clapping current leader after that shot hazard out and very little wind and he’s he got like a baby smile
650 is my guess I don’t think he’s that was right 672 throw number two 672 Paul I think that’s in that’s in oh 672 is in you think oh 100% we got a lot of good players left but 100% 672 is in why are these flipping so late these things are flipping at
450 I mean that’s got oh my God that is so far that’s not as far as the 672 but that’s a 600t shot with wasted potential 612 his bad one beat me that’s good now you got his bad one 610 don’t sell yourself short he just threw 612 oh that was his bad
One okay I don’t this is a very good run of Destroyer he’s found he really trusts it out there high Heiser for the late turn he’s going to go with that run one more time he’s got four of the same this that’s a good thing to do if you’re out
Here in a distance competition but yeah the consistency going with the same run same color same stamp same weight everything the same you can make micro adjustments as you’re in your five shot window oh J did he do it oh no it’s is going to drop too fast I fear yeah
Just once it gets to that height what does it do on that second half of the flight that’s everything all right on the te we have Ezra at hold from South Dakota Ezra AER hold potential here for power and athleticism neat golf shot yeah and he’s got to get
600 let’s see what is the the Bottom now the bottom is 615 ft which is cupcake and first Mark will be spotted it will be in bounds I don’t think get passes 615 but it’s a good safe 560 probably yeah good little golf shot to start off
Comfortable get the win read 565 throw number one 565 Ezra’s not necessarily the the the big distance line High arcing anheiser type thrower when he does that he ends tends to do this quite a bit he ends up over yanking it’s it’s hard for a player like him who has developed his entire
Form around a powerful golf line to mix this angle up with something that requires a little bit more of the lean back height late turn he’s all about power throw number two four 42 it’s hard to miss mix the high finesse with the big Power see if he
Gets to the number right though might have got it JM he took a little bit off that time and he controlled the angle and now he’s actually got yeah that’s on the bottom side too this is huge that could I think that’s in you think it’s over 615 that’s the object make those
Guys run man I like that low side he’s bubble yeah I don’t think he has a number that’s high enough to guarantee him a spot in the top six more time they’re not far enough away well let’s see what the Mark is yeah it’s a 590 592 let’s take a look at the miles per hour on the release Here Paul his high is 78 okay so far which is insanely fast 74 This Time Again taking a little bit off just to kind of get the line right got some wind blowing in now off the left
Shoulder this one Heering out again this is not going to be in not quite hitting his distance potential yet with one throw left 582 582 can Ezra get into the 600s final throw we’ve seen a lot of players hit their Max on the final fifth throw Ah just didn’t quite have enough overstability to hold up I like that he changed it into a golf line which is his power shot yeah but just didn’t quite have it today for Ezra FKS my name is Garett girthy also known as double G and I’m the founder of double G craft
Jerky double G craft jerky is an awesome snack when you have a hankering on the course you need a little something to pick you up out there so so you can really get after a drive or finish on a putt and capitalize when you’re playing the disc golf round and you’re hungry
And you don’t have a snack on the course if you start to lose focus you start thinking about what am I going to eat for dinner with Doug craft jerky that’s not a problem all right Paul we are back here it’s been a a short five minute
Intermission and we’ve got twas h a huge player from Finland yeah love his name and I mean one who right out the gate lots of power lots and lots of power one of my favorite people on the golf course a ton of fun always happy always has a
Smile on his face and he absolutely booms it yeah he’s a he is a big booming player 475 on throw number one wow what a special treat we got to see just a little while ago with his finish counterpart Rasmus so I think this has potential no maybe actually oh it kept
Going hanging on that left side Fairway it’s Heering but I think he’s going to get a Mark here it’s not going to be in the 65 top six but a mark nonetheless 5 S S throw number two respectable number there 5 that shows you his potential he has potential with
A 75 mph arm speed to get it out there 75 once again this one overturned yeah one of the fastest arm speeds we have on the board right now we do have 80 Rasmus just topping the charts right now but that will be that will be a top three
Rph3 throw number two mph by the by the by day’s end as we’ve got some incredibly fast arm speeds coming up soon 753 in a row I think this one might be it I think this one might be it yeah this one’s holding over tracking going
Straight far that’s going to be in the 600 Club gaining some Applause from the crowd here needs to get that six 16 is what he’s looking for 616 this is his last throw yeah I believe so throw number five for twas oh he got it over does it turn does
It keep holding I think it’s stalling out Paul decent distance I don’t think it’s as longest I don’t think it’s quite as longest but still obviously a display of big Power here the Finish contention always big throwers Finland loves throwing objects they have incredible one incredible World Records the current
United States dis golf champion from Urbandale Iowa Mr gon bur on the Tad defending Champion what he what he lacks in visible upper body strength he makes up for in Big wingspan and really incredible form oh my gosh J and just super high out of the gates if this
Keeps turning we’re looking at a big number that was fast too 75 miles yeah that’s a good number that’s a good starting throw the number right now to beat is 615 to get into the finals for Gavin’s longest throw ever and Ganon shortest I’m going to try 360 got good
Wind right now and he is he’s lining up 360 I like that angle if it I love the angle and it looks like it’s trying to be stable enough it’s just kind of falling a little bit too fast you need big hype for that angle David Wiggins just gave me a fist
Bump and uh felt like I had I felt like I had an acorn I bumped him with an acorn that was embarrassing David Wiggins it’s going to be we got some special throwers coming up here and this is one of them too getting going back to traditional
Backhand form oh gosh ditching to 360 So Gone I got to drop the glasses here Paul he’s got the Glide out of this one this is this is in this is was mad about it though this is in I think this has got to be in that looks I mean that’s that’s in
Was that in yeah I think that’s in that looks so good and the crowd is not reacting I don’t know if they just weren’t watching what 586 I was wrong I was way switched to kind of a headwin and and I like that he is taking his time though something that
Ganon is well known to do another high potential it’s just what does it do in the second half yeah it just doesn’t quite have the carry over too much Heiser at the end of the Flight all right folks we are joined by the legend the man the myth K clo 12 time world champion five time US champion and the namesake on the new mango habanero flavor from double G craft jerky thank you so much for joining the booth today Kenny thanks for
Having me it’s a f it’s exciting 25th anniversary USC it’s a lot going on big hype going on this year and big buildout craziest big biggest build out I’ve ever seen it’s a lot of action going on this year you should be here what do you think about the whole United States
Distance Championship we got a got the DJ we got the whole Booth set up we got a lot of money on we got a generator up for grabs here today obviously the best throwers longest throwers in the world world it’s quite a spectacle yeah yeah you get the Drone following the disc
Which is kind of cool you get to see it fly all the way out and little little Tailwind slight downhill these guys are bomin it a little bit different from the 1999 scene out here the inaugural us Championship which you won of course yeah I think we were hitting ball golf
Balls actually for distance then we had a ball golf distance challenge that year I’m pretty sure and as well as a disc challenge this is been the warm-up field though this general area uh for the last 25 years correct yeah here and just over here on the other Fairway over here
Before they turn into a couple holes a few years ago rumor has it that we’re actually looking at uh acquiring this property for disc golf and that they might be developing a new course over here and I don’t know if the plan is to longterm implement it into the us dgc
But they’ll at least have this space for disc golf in the future have you heard anything about this I haven’t but I noticed that the greens were overgrown and the fairways looked unkempt so I was pretty sure that they uh quit using it for ball golf so what better to go in
Here than some disc golf right go g g I think he got it yeah come on if this stays up in the air if it stays in the air it’s so good no it’s just falling out of the sky Garrick girthy obviously we appreciate everything that he has provided for us
In the distance competitions folks Make Some Noise a ton of respect from all the competitors out here gar girthy he’s been the man so many times in these competition get for this thanks guys thanks G you were able to maintain that Excellence at the top for nearly three
Full decades what what do you think back when you think back to your career H just think of all the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met you know I wouldn’t trade that for the world it’s it’s about experiences and things like that I’d trade all the Championships I
Won for all the experience I’d rather have the experiences than the Championships it’s it’s been a great crazy long fun ride and Eagle’s trying to take his Circle as far as possible with a nice little 76 mph release more of a lowliner point and shoot get it going forward so so
Far that I think that’s going six 50 yeah and he didn’t do anything right he I talked to him before he threw and he said he was going to go about 75 80% trying to save his arm for the disc golf tournament which is a little more
Important to him he’s not going to he’s not going 100% 590 76% and yeah I think he’s going flipper he’s really looking at a nose uper line here let’s see what he what he’s able to produce here how is that s it over looks like the wind’s got that one a little bit
Cruising to the right nosing over a little bit not going to get the carry or the flex back it’s all about the flex back with these days if you can get it on the right angle and the right height it’ll get that nice Flex back and continue moving forward rather than
Falling out of the sky exactly that’s so you want that over stability to fight back to Flat you don’t necessarily want it high in you just want it fighting its natural flight characteristics to get back to that forward Glide and that continued push where it’s kind of almost
Just hovering over the ground much like a good maximum time aoft or as we call them MTA throws the best throws are those ones that just were seemingly moving sideways yes they get closer to the ground they just sit there and hover and hover and hover and you’re like
Should I catch it should I catch it oh no I’m going to wait no Eagles fourth throw high this one’s going to crash down yeah this one’s just going to kind of Spike anheiser 1200t roller he won the roller contest I through all the years that
You’ve been watching disc golf as a fan and as a top competitor are how many people do you think can compete with eagles ease of throw to distance achieved not many like I I mentioned the Jarvis Brothers earlier and they’re like one of the only ones that have the that
Type of extra smoothness that translates to power to speed and Power it doesn’t look like they’re coming out of their shoes to to rip it out there the Jaris BS are both under 510 I mean they’re they’re small and stature they’re not that they don’t look like they’re that
Beefy like they’re big strong guys they’re just kind of average looking athletic people but like you said the efficiency of of their timing and their their speed is just gets those discs out there like you said a t- bird in the 240 meter Club is just unheard of really
That’s crazy to think about I’d be luy to throw on 120 m Weill I would love to see Anthony just post the number right away get in the groove post a nice flight and then go after it here we go guys 82 and he’s throwing it super low
And he’s overturned the disc if that was higher that would have been yep and 82 was the number 82 was the first number so we’ve got the fastest throw of the day these ones are a bit squirly this run of disc right here he’s going to
Have to have a lot of hype one this is going to come out above the tree line no question does it hang on and fight back in stability he’s going 360 oh boy too much turned over looks like the wind has switched perfectly for him though did I did not see the miles
Per hour on release what did did not register which is usually a sign of ab speed once again breaking future technology we’ve seen that before at The Preserve championship and guy hit 91 mph it also takes a while for that drone to come back from his made it in there 622
He just burned that over at 622 bye-bye cupcake blow the candles out oh this one’s gone all right byebye okay I’m getting out of my booth I’m getting out oh it’s going to go out of bounds right oh that is Mark out of bound measure it anyways please oh this is I I
Hate not knowing what that distance is right and he just needed to start that a little left and it was money I think he knows what he knows what to do now he’s got the angle he’s got the height just replicate it with a little more left little more left on the
Beginning that’s higher still coming over that is going to turn over too fast yep yep I don’t like the fact that he’s going to be the Bubble Boy now he needs to get this one take a little off get the full flight people behind him y this
Is what the fans in 1980s NBA basketball wanted to see Boston Celtics LA Lakers the fans here the distance contest want to see Anthony BR versus David Wiggins in the finals that’s the matchup we want to see come on AB get the number right here let’s see It oh he did it no oh is it going to turn yes a little nose up and at 6 22 he is 3 feet shy of Jasper tilt meaning that Anthony Bella will be the bubble he’ll be right there on that sixth spot will it be enough
With Albert Tam David Wiggins Jr to come we will see and is it our last two there two more I’m not sure if there’s more than that but those are the only two that I think have a chance a really high realistic chance of knocking out 622
Ft07 all right Albert Tam he’s got a little bit of a headwind right now he might be being patient I think it’s a good call but I think he’s actually looks like he’s ready to go here flip action I think that’s probably far enough it’s so high out it’s falling out
Early it’s falling out early it’s a it’s a good number to get your first one in but I guess it really doesn’t matter right now I mean now you know what the number is you can’t just put a safe shot out there it’s a very clear Mark that
622 ft is what you need to to get into the finals all La track and field when they’re about to do the long jump or the high jump where the crowd gets involved with a clap clap clap and once they get to that high clap rate that’s when he
Likes to explode and throw the big distance shot all right that going for [Applause] him and is that what Albert needed he has thrown this to the Moon it’s definitely coming back oh that is so the spin rate has just got to be topnotch it’s a big number is that
Enough to bump Anthony Bella out of the finals we’ll see here the mark coming shortly yeah yeah we got the range it did do a little Fallout at the end it kind of fell out of the sky at the end we’ll see can we read the lips no 599
596 how many numbers have we seen in the 590 range yeah last throw for Albert Tom and it’s out and is it turning is it turning it is fell back out of it you don’t think that’s going to be enough I don’t think that’s going to be
Enough similar to his last one 580 590 it looks like that means Anthony Dodges a very fast bullet he’s got the biggest bullet to dodge coming up next yeah we’re talking about Wiggins whose an heisers are going to be landing at 550 we were talking about Albert being a
Specimen this guy has man strength right here straight man strength yeah he I’ve seen him since he was a little boy and man as he changed his body style I mean he’s just grown up into the distance monster that he was always meant to be David Wiggins first throw here we go yank
84 it’s it’s not quite sure what it saw there for the distance we didn’t quite get a number for that one thing you can watch about Wiggins being in so many of these distance competitions he slows down he doesn’t Rush right into the next throw he takes his time he gets a win
Read he’s visualizing right now that’s huge with distance competitions all right two throws down less than halfway there this is a big third throw here he gets one in play that’ll really allow him to get comfortable in this final two get a good read for his last
Two that one’s high that is so high if there’s anyone in the world that can deal with high that is over the trees oh my gosh that is on the old golf driving fair I wish we could measure that one cuz that one’s gone he needs to go this
Way he cleared 40ft trees at about 450 on anheiser still and no doubt the thing is still flying like no question that thing is moving drove all the way up here from Louisiana to compete in this very competition and to try and qualify I’m Monday qualifying as
Well that looks pretty good that’s it he did it that’s it all right well David Wiggins has made himself a finalist in the distance competition yeah that’s going to be close that’s going to be close it’s going to be close it kind of fell down at the end crowd loves it they
Finally got to see a Mark we haven’t seen a really good throw in these last three players honestly even with Anthony BR 622 is this enough to do it the 84 milph thanks buddy 665 665 Wiggins Jr has given himself a chance with the orange boss David just pointed me he
Said the orange boss that’s been his savior before it does it again making this an event so thanks for hanging out this afternoon folks the Rival Battle that we all came to see is unfortunately not going to take place in the finals today but David has got some serious
Competition with Rus sari who thre 674 the top Mark of the qualifier but David Wiggins coming through second longest throw of the day took the final throw and it was actually such a big shot because not only does he get into the finals but he knocks AB probably one
Bigger yeah higher speed the higher speed guys yeah and I think AB competing with all the guys at the similar time I think AB takes the advantage there I think you know not having the same exact win conditions as some of the earlier throws yeah AB might not have been
Dealing with the same conditions but if he is able to take not just five throws but the 10 throws five throws from the qualifier and the five throws in the finals and figured out I think AB puts a mark up there in the 670s and I think he
Takes this thing down but with him out of the way your money’s got to be on deid Wiggins going into the finals for the 1600 let’s see if we can get one of these guys to crack the 700 foot Mark in the finals cuz you know they’re going to
Be going a little extra hard is it’s just the finals it’s not it’s not a qualifier they can go balls to the wall and try and make it happen I’m David Wiggins and in 2016 I set the disc golf world distance record with a throw of
118 ft with I’m out in the field measuring a max distance throw or on the course checking the elevation change for an upshot I rely on the Eagle Seeker 360 to give me accurate distances it’s the only Rangefinder on the market that measures in feet yards and meters making
It useful for any sport or outdoor activity it’s USBC rechargeable and features a lithium ion battery it’s design is ergonomic and the exterior is weather resistant for years of use visit Eagle Seer 360.com to get yours today Kenny thank you so much for joining the booth today it’s been a pleasure having
You here with us and talk some distance shots it’s just good to see you in person my man you and the uscc belong together and we’re so happy to see you out here thanks I’m glad to be here going to do some commentating this this tournament for the top group the lead
Card and a Chase Card all four rounds going to be there with Pho and Ian looking forward to it and here we go we get some women throwing are they just doing warm-ups right now no this is it I think we’re going to let you go so you
Can watch the competition and pull for these top distance throwers as they’re competing for some good money and a nice generator provided by Ferman today what a legend k clim a man all right Ella Hansen onto her second throw that is not going to work a little bit rushed I feel
Like I think I think you know we’ve talked about this all day Ella is taking a good amount of time now she is ready to go throw number three and this is overturned and you can see that that excitement and frustration coming through I mean this is a big deal
Sometimes with that long R run up it takes a while to get that timing perfectly too you’re trying to get everything everything you want to get into there let’s see if she can get that timing right and get this up [Laughter] in Ella a little bit slower that time
Into the runup to get her timing right and she’s actually got a pretty good line here on this shot this is going to be a number for sure yeah and she’s backing up the spotters that’s a good throw for Ella Hansen she’ll at least have a number so important especially
With only three competitors the first of the three the other players could just as easily struggle and the pressure then falls on them because they know what the Mark is Ella has kind of a little bit of freedom in a way where she just gets to
Put a number out there and then say all right this is what you got to do let’s see if you can be beat this 473 is a great number to post 473 that’s a that’s a good finals number no doubt and this is not going to beat the
473 but her fourth throw has given her opportunity to win this thing at 473 good job Ella some noise for Ella [Applause] H all right folks Make some noise for miles per hour there 61 miles per hour 473 feet for Ella Hansen onto the finished stud Superstar henna blomerus
Got one right away to turn over lots of speed that’s coming out at 62 mph potential but not going to be enough yeah just a little low but the the line itself was beautiful if you can maintain the flight properties four two three throw number one flight properties of that throw but
Just 7t higher yeah somewhere in that ballpark I think she’s got herself a really really good throw all right throw number two coming up here and there’s the height does it maintain the same characteristics I think it’s going to fall out of the sky bit soon there
Paul yeah good height I don’t think the height is what she needs right now I think she needs a little lower okay a little more Heiser flip to anheiser her golf shot can get around 450 so with the downhill that’s what we’re looking at I really think she has that 39 you think
She has a 480 foot golf line can she take down Ella with a golf line no but you need to get one really putting her all into I mean that’s a golf line that didn’t turn over how far is this going to be that’ll give
You a good idea of how far Ella Hansen is a tough competitor to go first because she is the wor World distance champion this year in the uh the9 they had the distance championships which elzra won on her birthday but then they had the Showcase afterwards which Ella
Did win so that’s 409 alliser yeah no turn again and so Ella Hansen will maintain first place going into the final thrower well Ella has one more throw here henna oh yeah henna I thought I thought that she had done her fifth okay throw number
Five one throw To Go Hannah has one for Hannah come on y’ all right she has a chance still got a chance here one throw left and that came out of her hand so fast I don’t know if the angle was perfect but the actual speed was quite nice 62 mph for henna
Her third throw came out at 66 together folks higher than Ella’s top throw which was 63 mph but it wasn’t enough to get her past Ella Hansen and they 473 Ft what are we about to see here Paul well she has the potential to just absolutely annihilate this oh my God is so clean and so good this distance with a with one throw she’s not going to do it I don’t think yeah maybe not with that
One okay so she threw before the Drone was ready still counts as a throw just so excited to throw I am curious to see how far this went that was 66 miles hour 471 471 and 2 feet shy of winning and just hope hoping that that’s not her
Favorite distance TR hoping that these are all similar so she can make the adjustment and she’s got this one turned a little more going to be the winner oh my gosh yeah that’s gone that’s the winning that’s the winning throw right there elzra if that’s not past 473 I don’t know
Anything yeah that’s that’s way that’s way past it that’s 500t so good 514 I mean Boom the Redemption is complete she has taken down the title the best qualifier distance and and the best distance in the championship finals she has won $750 and the firman generator and now she just gets to show
Off I mean yeah we’re talking about a violent movement that we just have not quite seen I mean it and she’s placing in the world championships as a 16-year-old and throwing farther than anyone the potential here is something really special player look at that throw that is just something else that is absolutely
Annihilated wow Paul I wore the bomb pop shirt for moments just like this we’re seeing her pops and bombs is that farther no I don’t think so is it in the fives might be I saw them not move 52 so not her farthest but still couple shots in the 500 and this is
Just just for showcase just for fun here 66 mil hour is it going to come out no but what a show what a show you’re Champion make a little more noise than that come on [Applause] y’all us that was we are sitting here with elzra midling is that yes and you
Are 16 years old MH and you just won the world’s distance competition earlier this year and came up just a bit short in the finals against Ella Hansen today 536 in the qualifier and 513 in the finals 514 what do you have to say about today’s distance competition I can’t
Believe it I’m just stuck here we’re going to get going with the guys two well I think the other women are a little stoked that you are here they’re not stoked that you’re here because you are now emerging as the player to beat for anything distance related Paul and I
Have been over here just can’t we can’t believe what we’re seeing the movement that you have and you’ve talking a little bit about how you’ve only been playing for a couple of years two months two months before Co so 3 years in hopefully you have a lot of fun between
Now and then though is it is the distance move something you practice or is it is it just something that came naturally and that’s just how far you throw it’s just natural I never practice I barely even practice uh when I’m like doing field work and stuff I don’t practice
Distance by I don’t know how to follow this up I this is truly and you’re from New Jersey correct my disco home is like Jacksonville but I’m living in New Jersey yeah so Jacksonville Florida Jacksonville Florida okay so you were playing down there new world with the
Open courses okay I was going to say playing in the east coast of New Jersey with the tight wooded courses it wouldn’t make any sense how this is happening but you are the distance Champion you’ve won the 2023 United States disc golf champion distance championship and you’re going to be
Going home with $750 and a generator provided by firman congratulations thank you thank you so much my name is gar girthy and I’m the founder of Doug craft jerky I love the fact that it’s resalable I can just get a little bit keep my energy levels up but not eat
Like a half of a meal in the middle of my round my favorite bag is the smash Cracked Pepper that’s my perfect salty snack this is my go-to the sex and sweet and spicy if this bag gets open there’s no need for the seal cuz I’m going to eat it
All all right Jasper till I’ve seen this guy throw a flat top Firebird over 550 ft I mean the guy has insane power that’s nuts that is a nine speed though and right out the bat just going high and high is going to do it it’s got
To come out right come out it’s highing yes it’s going to be marked that is just going to hang on oh no they just went out of Bounce to right side will it come out though yes it will I know for a fact that it will that’s going to be in the 600s
Right yeah that’s that was a decent throw just a little 58 59 yeah it’s not going to yes it’s not going to be in competition in contention got a post the number though slightly flipper version of the same run of Halo boss this is the very first Halo boss I
Ever put in my bag Paul well you might have to give it to him because he just absolutely that is murdered beat that thing oh my gosh that that’s a big one that’s a big throw he is just able to hold that thing a little longer hiding to the right just
A bit longer that would have been really special still going to be in the 600 range I believe no 59 596 we’ve heard 596 37 times today yeah there’s a stack of disc like this every single one oh he did it no how stable I it’s two stable are you sure yeah
Okay those Halo boss want to go far they want to go right but at the end they’re always going to flex back left okay 565 he he needs to post to 600 yes it has to be in the six’s no question about it a little bit lower line I don’t think
It’s going to fight back enough it’s just going to kind of drop out of the sky Jasper till making it to the finals here says a [Applause] lot they’ll never forget the day that he beat Anthony BR in a distance competition no all right folks make a Little
Noise Okay make a little more noise yelta Yensen from Denmark out big Power in the qualifier looking like the protagonist in every late 80s early 90s action flick and that is smooth power though much very smooth yeah I was going to say his form doesn’t look like big Power
Form it’s just so smooth he gets a disc out there lots of spin 645 in his original qualifier that just tells you a lot right there hoping to 429 throw number one pretty far 429 ft H yto with throw number two never going to let us down oh this is this is crushed no I don’t think it’s no yeah too much spin too much spin I love the initial angle if the angle itself would have been with a slightly overstable disc instead of a medium
Stable I think he would have been posting a really big number there but it’s hard to know you know you have to get a couple throws to know is today a flippy Hiser flip day or is today a neutral disc thrown flat or overstable with anheiser it’s it’s you never quite
Know which one to go with well he better figure it out he only has three throws left to get a good number what do you think Paul I think I like it JM I think I like a lot and I think I think we have a 600 we we have an actual
Contender I have an actual Contender here that’s easily 620 ft I think on calm conditions good height if this comes out germ I think we might have our H this one’s pushing that right side which we like is it heis ring enough don’t quite think it is OB but
That was a one I Think no five seven six I don’t understand how we so far off what is temperature maybe maybe temperature drop too that just came out of his hand so Well lots of movement to get ready here and now we know why a lot of trust there Paul a lot of trust going with the big heer lease for the late turn oh we got it he got a lot of it did he get all of
It did he get all of it I don’t know I don’t know some appreciation from the crowd says Hey a full flight good flight certainly was is it enough six we have a new leader folks 624 that’s a nice number to post got right Moulder we got to see this throw in person
654 ft or something like that I Unbelievable this guy is one of the players that I think is truly the future of the sport oh my goodness that had some I had some wanting that to turn over a little bit more but he shows you what he has right there out of the gate 73 mil per
Hour 73 mph thrown with zero off AIS torque a clean release with the right disc is enough you can get a distance out there in the 650s with 73 mph throw if you get everything right I think we might see our first 360 from him yeah he’s lining it up yep here it
Comes oh too much power too much power turns it over but he definitely add 4 mph to that 67 out the H oh 77 excuse me 77 out the H if he can match that speed with the height yep four four we got we’re going
To have a new leader oh this could be it oh is it going to turn he has a lot of spin such a fragile I think he got it I think he might have got it oh that is far it’s just fading off to the left a little littleit well the guys are
Running backwards they are that’s a good sign it stayed up long enough I thought that it might start fighting back to the ground sooner but he he’s got a number 5 seven5 so he’s got potential he didn’t get all the turn two throws left for Ryan is it going to turn it
Isn’t all right last throw can he get a mark he might have done it I love it Paul he might have done it and the wind picked up right at the right time oh my gosh he got it that’s a good number he gave the fist bump he likes it is it is
It over the 620 going straight it’s got that low hover that we’re he might have blown it away or it might I don’t know so hard to say right now we’re just speculating 587 quite good effort for the young Ryan Moulder David Wiggins Jr and then rosmus salari oh different colors disc for
David and look what disc he has in the bottom of his stack PA that’s a scary disc very scary disc I think has traveled many many feets sbed okay here we go David Wiggins first throw this guy could just blow the doors off of this thing this guy does not get stubbed
Uh oh okay yeah okay it’s going to be out of bounds right this is what plagued him in the qualifier putting all all the pressure yeah he just on that final throw is there enough width for him with the amount of left to right movement of
Course there is but can you trust it height at the big tallest tree go out to the I like this cuz even if he POS something that just anies the whole way he doesn’t need he doesn’t need his absolute best he just needs to get
Something in play to allow him to go big with the last shot there we go germ there we go oh my gosh oh yeah it’s holding ah bye-bye oh bye byee that 700 David Wiggins has a signature move it’s the two hands up in the air saying sayara and uh just sent
That one to Tokyo is that 700 I don’t know if it’s quite there come on give us that 700 651 651 okay all right all right we got ahead of ourselves we got ahead1 but you know what that’s good yeah you hit that on the nose 651
Now he gets to get kind of freaky with it this poor this poor disc yeah yeah or actually this disc gets to yeah it gets to do something that no other disc’s really ever done in your bag that’s going to go be right I think yeah here we go can he get it
Up and this is going to go right again I mean I think he likes his chances with 651 I think he’d love his chances if he gets full flight and he’s already G and teed himself a top two position in this event once again continuing his streak of never getting out of top
Two oh my too much oh my gosh just fight back a little bit oh it wanted to so badly but it ended up going out of bounds right d wi J all right so there is some wiggle room because Rasmus sarii threw 674 or something like that right in that
Ballpark in the qualifier the wind was blowing a little bit more but we saw what Rasmus has in the tank we got one more one to take the $1600 and his fin Brotherhood are over there talking it up trying to pump him up this is special we
Got we got a late show you got one more to wait sorry I’m David Wiggins and in 2016 I set the disc golf world distance record with a throw of 118 ft with I’m m in the field measuring a max distance throw or on the course checking the elevation
Change for an upshot I rely on the eagle Seeker 360 to give me accurate distances it’s the only Rangefinder on the market that measures in feet yards and meters making it useful for any sport or outdoor activity it’s USBC rechargeable and features a lithium ion battery it
Design is ergonomic and the exterior is weather resistant for years of use visit Eagle Seer 360.com to get yours Today you got the green light brother all right here we go he’s late show he is sweating he was running straight from the course to get over here right away grabs an absolute great angle on this oh he loves it oh he loves it let’s go Jake Heimer did we just see
Something did we just see the is that over 651 I don’t I don’t know 602 oh 602 got a ways to go yeah ways to go but that’s a big One that all these golf lines though I mean he’s just getting full flexes out of all of them oh he got it JM I think he got it it’sing down a little too fast it switched to a left to right cross it wasn’t that one though yet the one thing that has been
Remaining consistent even if it’s been a Tailwind or been a slight headwind it’s been left to right the whole day which is still righty Ander Power Players favor the wind is blowing harder than I’ve oh he popped that one but it ain’t going to work out Ryan Moulder on the bottom of the
List with 81 mph release that is that’s quick yeah Jake trying to go a little bit higher try to push something out of his traditional throwing style and this one’s just going to fight back to the ground pretty fast yeah good enough for third place right now though that’s pretty good and the
Top four make it into the king Mas competition Sunday so that pushes him in that will put him in the competition 59 but right now the pump up session is continuing with the Finnish crew consisting of v maaas h last year’s runner up of the uscgc
Nicholasa and here it is it comes down to Rasmus the top qualifier the wind is calm remember when I said I’d never heard of him and then you’re you you set me in my seat I did I sat you right back down remind you he was not just throwing far at the European
Open lead he was on a lead card y this is a just a member of a large group of players that have been coming up from Finland over the last decade and a half just so much talent so much young talent and my gosh they can throw the disc far
Oh my right out the gate right out the gate right out the gate he might have done it he might have done it he might have done it right there I think that might be it uh all right did he do it at the first throw Paul I don’t
Know I’ve been wrong every I’ve been wrong every single time 6 38 that’s going to be tough to me 13 ft short first throw first throw 1T short and he’s got I believe four identical discs so he can make the micro adjustments oh boy he almost blew up that 400 Mark what
An absolutely perfect day here though Paul Rocko South Carolina the weather forecast looks Immaculate here for the US dgc very special time of year for a very special Championship third throw in the air rosmus this is turning over hard 81 miles hour it is so difficult to control
81 mil an hour everything has to be essentially perfect you don’t I couldn’t even fathom you could shoot me out of a slingshot from a cannon and I wouldn’t go that fast you had a rocket launcher attached to you too yeah you might be Tapp into two throws L for
Rosmus okay is that going to do something oh my God my goodness that is tipping are you for real with that line is that OB the amount of trust OB that went OB no no if it’s out of bounds no way I don’t know how you can take it over that
Tree and go that far right no way that’s out of bounds that was incredible there’re still marking it I think they’re shooting it really they I saw the guy X this went over the trees on the left side of the Fairway and still managed to
Go so far right that we’re not sure you know what I like that right side you sure do again and we haven’t said they haven’t said the fourth number yet we’re sitting here waiting on on for mace do we have a number they’re saying OB wow Paul out of
Bounds so you you called it Paul 74 I cannot believe throw was out ofs it looked abely that means that David wi J will just another title to his there’s no no trophy case in the world that can house all of D Wiggins distance trophy titles at this point but he’s going to
Take home a Ferman generator he’s going to take home $1600 and a another title for David Wiggins in his amazing illustrious dis golf distance career all right we’re here with the champion of the distance competition that’s David Wiggins you got some nice Hardware to show off yeah we were talking about it
Earlier you had never taken outside a second in any distance competition ever you had one throw left to qualify to get into the finals what was that like you know out of all the distance competitions I’ve thrown I just got to have confidence that I’m going to
Connect with one good throw so I’m trying to pop him out there I’m not I took a little off that last one but I’m still ripping them and just having the confidence that I’m going to get one in so that’s what you got to do cuz once
You start sweating you know it gets hard so one of the things that we were talking about all day throughout the competition was the ability for a player who’s got all the adrenaline going on trying to put a show on for the for the fans and obviously to be in competition
But to be able to take your time and breathe how important was that for you going into that final throw with no shots really on the radar I like the adrenaline I I don’t think it negatively affects me if anything it pumps me up I was turning them over a little bit more
With the conditions I don’t know if it was the adrenaline or the wind but that that last one uh you know it was everything was on the line but it came together put one out there $1600 a firman generator a cool Trophy and you know what I’m going to throw you
A bag of double G craft jerky we got some original stuff we know once one of these bags opens up it’s not getting closed it’s not getting closed David you’ve won another title man where does this thing go now feels good um this is going back on the Shelf with some of the
Other distance discs and trophies from distance competition so feels good uh growing up watching Everybody throw across the lake always wanting to be on that stage throwing to get up here and be able to do it special and uh this means you know as much as any distance
Title out there to me so wow that’s that’s that’s saying a lot from somebody who’s won how many world titles oh I’ve got five amateurs yeah how many open world yeah how many open distance World titles I I don’t know off the top of my
Head I’ve got a few I’ve got a few no worse than second though you beat me at one of them in in Charlotte yeah 2012 2012 yeah yeah that thank you for the shout out there but that’s uh that’s pretty incredible honestly I think the most impressive thing well the most
Impressive thing is 11:09 that’s the most impressive thing I’ve ever heard as far as throwing an I don’t care about the world skipping Stones record 1109 is more impressive than that but the the next most impressive thing about your distance prowess is the consistency never finishing outside the top two there’s
All these situations where you’re throwing at different times a day you have different conditions yet somehow you always find it like you said you find the confidence that you know you’re going to connect on one yeah and that’s all you need all you need is one good
Throw to get out there and post a number and you’ve done that once again here today in fact you did it in the qualifying and did in the finals taking home another title bringing home some cash to boot yeah it’s been a good day for David Wiggins Jr feels good thank
You all right well that’s going to wrap it up for us here at Rock Hill for today it was all about distance I’m Jeremy coing Paul uberry David Wiggins we’ll see you guys next time

Ezra is juicing no cap
My goodness I have a noodle. There is an art to the long distance throw
Kid throws 404' with no flip, first throw of the video. Makes me wanna both hang up my bag forever and immediately go play 36 holes in equal measure.
Why is this being aired 5 months after it actually happened Jomez how you have fallen from what you used to be
Awesome to see them have The GOAT on here! He needs to write an unfiltered autobiography. I had the opportunity to meet KC on two occasions in the late 1990's. He was really nice and fun to be around.
I don't agree with the David Wiggins 1100 ft. record. What's with the 120mph tail wind?
Why post the finals number for the player before they even throw? Spoilers mid video?
Wiggins is an incredible distance thrower and would have the record no matter what. But I believe, like records in track and field, the record should not be wind aided. Ten miles per hour or so maximum. I think the less wind, the less advantage from throw to throw. It would be impractical to eliminate air currents completely.
I’m sure there are different perspectives on this—would absolutely want to hear them 🙂
How does an announcer at an event like this still not know how to pronounce Ezra's name?
I call BS on the distance that Eliezra did that they counted as 503. you can cleary see the disc land more then 3 feet behind the 500 mark.
germ boooooooo
eli's second through at 2:10 mark shows the judging can be way off, she threw it about 520-530 and they said 503 lol
Hi Jomez, could you arrange an elevated basket US Championship? Just stick a disc golf basket to a large crane. Start at the normal elevated height, then raise it with, let say 10 feet at a time. 3 tries per height, if you make one height you continue to the next height. Same rules as track and field high jump.
I think it's just one throw behind for each thrower
I'm here for Eliezra and she did NOT disappoint!
Now we need slo-mo's of all their forms for educational purposes!
It's incredible how low are Eliezra Midtyling's 500s throws
So the women get less than half of what the men get….. 🤔 DO BETTER!
how is it that someone throws past the 600 foot marker in the field and their final number comes up feet shorter than the marker? doesn't make any sense…. 47:20
Not measuring Rasmus's 4th shot is just purely criminal.
wtf. How can it be a championship with the distance measurements completely F'ed? Come on. Take the time to do it right. This is a baaaad look.
I wish they would let us know what discs they are throwing
