TAKING ON TPC SCOTTSDALE IN WM OPEN CONDITIONS (18 HOLE STROKE PLAY

In today’s video we are taking on TPC Scottsdale, home of the WM Open! I’ll be showing off the course as well as walking you through what the Professional Golfers are going to be looking for and seeing as they tee off here this week for the Wast Management Open! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for for the past 3 months is this moment right Here holy cow this is insane nothing like some uh five Strokes of jitters right there that’s for sure man I love golf so much I can’t believe this is Real ah not a good swing I was to be competing and the first round i’ probably be close to last place we’re going to turn this round around right now 67 right now trying to get in let’s go wow welcome back to another video this is going to be literally so special

We’re playing 18 holes at the beautiful TBC Scottsdale here in Scottsdale Arizona and literally a bucket lless Golf Course 18 holes stroke play trying to go as low as possible we’re playing it from where the players we playing it next week and let me tell you I’m just going to show you

Exactly what the pros are going to see what they’re going to do and and literally try to go as low as possible and uh who knows maybe he shoot the course record so let’s go ahead and play this first hole Par Four straight away caddy recommended the 3-wood let’s get it rolling

Wow all right we just finished on first cut of the rough here got 123 left to the flag uh I got a 54 degree he said the green jumps right to left so just going to air a little bit to the right side well this rough is thick bro see if

I can pull off a good one oh Jake that’s right at It Go Go ah little deep little deep it’s all right give ourselves a fighting birdie chance on the first that’s all you can ask for this is definitely like the nicest course I’ve been probably ever

Played to be honest like the condition is crazy but when uh these guys when these guys play next week this course you can really see the ulation of the greens probably can’t see it on TV like this is so downhill there’s a bunch of ridges and um man I’m excited to see how

They tear this course up ah just ran out a little bit all right we got a about 4 ft left for the par and it’s probably going to be a little bit outside the hole to the right we need these to go go down if we going to play well today smooth Man

O all right all right my best rounds always start with a bogey so that’s a good sign I didn’t try to three putut that bogey on the first nothing like some uh five Strokes of jitters right there that’s for sure onto the next baby all right like I said my best

Rounds come off bogey so now we got a uh par 4 445 yards I got my two Ron just going to stay short of these right bunkers um a lot of these Pros literally hit that driving IR so well and this is one of the holes that uh you’ll see it

On oh yeah so good that is so good caddy caddy goes like this that means it’s good let’s go I feel like I’m just out here with like fake grass like every blade of grass is like perfect I don’t understand how do they do that 6065 all right that’ll be a nine

Iron for you boy I’m going to bring the range just in case range finder some bunkers and stuff but 160 is a stock nine looks like this flag is like back left or Center back left Center whatever the difference is but dude this is so cool with the freaking Grand

Stands holy cow man here we go I got a stock nine considering I hit the first ball five yards long I’m going to take a hair off of this going to go a little right of the pen oh tugged It Go think was still on the dance Flor

Though we tugged it about 20 ft left but um should be still putting they want that Dan though oh that day is flow go go leave it short way short I think two these are the ones that really keep my rounds going those five Footers like the one I

Missed on the last this range is where I really feel like I gain momentum throughout the round so hopefully I can get one here thank you all right good par all right it’s good par there um those are the ones that you know get my round started get my momentum rolling so

Here we go I think we got a par five next so these are my favorite ah not a good swing pretty far left there might be near the cactuses yeah that’s one of these when I just all arms and no hips when I get these bad boys involved that’s when I start swinging

Well oh my gosh dude go that is right at it that is right at it let’s go thank you all right that makes up for the terrible drive right at the flag probably like 40 feet short got a eagle putt hey if there’s any time to pull off

A shot it’s PPC Scottdale that’s for sure oh that looks good sit sit sit all right all right this long in the hole not too bad these are the ones that I practice on the putting green nonstop so I should be able to make this

Hey just know if I do happen to pass away in the next couple years just bury me out here that would feel really nice me and Jesus hanging out dang it sor right it’s okay it’s okay stuff like that happens but I’m going to give myself a lot more birdie tries on this

Course then I need to but uh just a bad stroke we’ll get it back on the next one ah go go all right 10 feet baby that was definitely a good miss miss it on the right side so next week when they play they’re actually playing hole number four from back here it’s

About 190 or so good little seven iron for them but we are uh obviously it’s closed in preparation for the waste management but um good little par three you got bunkers surrounding the whole green but um hey I hit a good shot up there we got two three butts within

Three holes but it’s time to to make one it’s time to get them back right here good just coming off the start on on this beautiful fourth hole we’re already we’re already seeing like how precise these guys have to be on this course especially with the greens being this

Fast I think they’re rolling like 13s right now but um the rough being up this course in perfect condition I mean they’ll probably take it like maybe six to 10 under pretty much every day I’m going to guess right now hold me to it on this YouTube video I’m going to guess

The winner is going to be at 26 underpar for four rounds rounds so go ahead and write that in the book um they’re going to tear up this golf course God did break more God dang it’s all right they’re going to drop one of these days they’re going to drop one of these

Days it’s another par so we got this uh qualifier for the waste management this exact event in two days and those are the ones that I have to make cuz I got to go at least five to 10 under par so going to really work on my just making sure I’m starting

The ball online and just giving it a nice confidence stroke cuz we got to get those to fall but I think we got a par four up next so here we go that whole five 470 yard par 4 we have 150 left safe to say we uh hit that one

Pretty good about a 320 Drive caddy said about a played about 10 yards more with little breeze into us so that is exactly what we’re going to do we’re going to trust them we’re going to hit a 165 shot um I have a nineiron just a nice smooth

One probably like 80% nine iron probably going to put this to like 3T tap in the birdie because we can’t make anything outside 3T so hopefully we put this within that zone oh that is right at it be the number be the number hell yeah let’s go baby there we

Go that’s what we’re looking for like when I just get in that slot there and then n nuke it man I love golf so much all right let’s get one to fall here exactly where I’m looking just going to try to roll it right at that Mark get

It and we blasted it jeez man I got it just outside the left right about a ball just uphill we need this one to go big time there we go thank you I appreciate it there we go why don’t want make those for birdie that’s ridiculous always make them for par all

Right now we’re on to Hole six dogly left Par Four some of my favorite holes so here come here um we’re going to turn this round around right now look in my eyes we’re going to turn this round around right now 67 right now let’s

Go man I mean really as it stands these Pros are I mean on average PGA Tour I think it’s like 285 290 drive so they’re really just trying to push it just right of these left bunkers and uh give themselves probably like a low iron or a

Wedge into the screen um so really just they’re just going to bang driver up there and um give themselves a little flip wedge in what about in the right bunkers over them wow over is that a good spot I Meine right on the hey that’s all we want to hear uh he

Said go over the left bunkers but I went over the right bunkers so safe to say this didn’t really work out I wanted to uh yeah so coming off an airplane from a 6 a.m. flight straight to the T box I would say I’m hitting the ball pretty

Good I just got to get a hold of these greens I feel like they’re breaking more than I expect so I’m going to adjust on that and then if I was to be competing in the first round I’d probably be close to last place so um we just got to fire

Some birdies we got 12 holes left uh 13 holes left to make a lot of birdies and I guarantee you we’ll make at least five birdies so that’s going to be our goal so uh our CAD said to come over these bunkers but we went over those um not not ideal

Not a PGA Tour es shot of me but one of my strengths is recovery shots so we’re going to put this on the green and uh give ourselves a birdie try so this is what they’ll have going through this week is that sometimes you’ll get the ball sitting up like this and sometimes

You’ll get it like sitting down and I mean I think I think guys on tour really do a good job of assessing the lie and the caddies help them out as as well but I’m going to got it I have it sitting up so that means it’s going to come out a

Little bit hotter than normal so I’m going to choke down on a pitching wedge I’m going to try to hit this like a 135 shot but the actual is 150 oh that is right at it be the number oh yeah yes sir let’s go let’s go man that

Was a good swing there that was a great swing I know see if you can see it from here it might be just left of the flag you can see it yeah hey that is definitely one of my specialties I don’t know where I got it from probably

Because I started golfing like in the trees and I wasn’t that good so these came so natural to me but um man that was a good shot so this pen in particular as you can see this green is massive but there’s like three different tiers and I think these guys if they’re

In the Fairway they’re going right at it um I’m actually pretty impressed with this shot out of the rough we have just about 15 ft 20 ft down the hill um but three tier green you got front back right and back left and they usually go they fire if they’re on under 150

They’re firing at these flags oh God dang it that was one I needed right there oh guess what another par good read though that was literally perfect probably hit a hair two hard though another thing that I love to do when I’m not making any early I try to just stay

In um the best thing you can do is just tell yourself to stay in it tell yourself that you’re going to get them to drop and I feel like I just repeat that in my mind that the birdies are coming so all right we got about a 200

Yard shot around the nose I’m going to hit seven play this about 190 195 here we go stick one close maybe in a hole in one oh that is right at it go in the hole go in the hole woo 200 exactly bounce a little left of the flag

20 feet for the bird let’s go dude we haven’t missed a green yet seven for seven Greens in regulation hey real quick and we are still one over especially at the professional level a lot of these guys do a great job of just staying in their round not letting things affect them especially

Cuz things like putts like this they’re not falling but they’re giving themselves opportunities and that’s all I can ask for sometimes in golf stuff like this happens as long as you give yourself opportunities you can’t complain right you know you you’re put yourself on the green 15 20 30 feet

Whatever it is as long as you give yourself the opportunities these guys are so good that they’ll brush some of in and then guess what they build momentum and then boom their round takes off so that’s exactly where we are hoping for it to happen here so let’s go

Ahead and do it we are about 30 ft just long and left of this flag let’s see this this Ridge is really going to swing it left to right I probably got to play This Way outside oh perfect speed and having the right line all right another

Part dude I am like the par King today I might just shoot even par and walk away from this round feeling okay like I if I shot even par my first time ever playing TBC Scottdale in tournament conditions you know what I I wouldn’t be uh that sad I did set an

Instagram pull of 69 and a half so comment what you think I’m GNA shoot from this hole so I’m one over that would be I would have to make three birdies in order to do 69 half it’s a par 71 so for playing this course for

The first time I feel like I’m doing well I just got to get got to get this thing on all right caddy really wants us to get after this one so we have a par 4 here 475 these are some of my favorite holes those long par

Fours um these guys especially when I’m playing an event like this they’re going to take it right over the left corner of these bunkers so that’s what we’re going to try to do try to give them a wedge and then hopefully uh have a nice birdie

Look here we go dog leg left try to pipe it right at those bunkers little right but I don’t think that will hurt us at all kind of feeling like I’m losing a little right but we should still be in a good spot the worst thing I could have done

Was hit it into the cacti to the left so as long as we miss it in the right spot cadd said we’re all right so um that’s what the guys do on the PJ tour they miss it in the right spots and that’s what you guys need to start doing

Missing it in the right spots telling yourself hey if I don’t hit a b if I don’t hit a good drive here where in the world should I be what part of the hole should I be on and just giving yourself the best possible look to have the

Lowest score possible so um that’s what these guys are doing every single day all right these guy especially when they’re playing the waist management uh this week they’re really not going to want to miss it on this side on hole number eight cuz as you can see these

Tre trees are deadly you can get a kind of funky lie with these you know these overhanging yeah they’re going to try to push it over these bunkers as I tried to do but we pushed it just right uh into this right rough so that’s actually the

Better misses on this side I might have hit a spectator or two if they were here all right one 76 front pin it’s going to jump out of there there’s another one of those those lies right you know that they got to properly judge this week know that’s what a lot of people

Really don’t understand is how good these guys are at judging lies so you know that’s a that’s a flyer when it’s sitting up but it’s a little bit of that equator still in the rough so I’m going to go a club down and I’m going to uh

Just go right at it cuz I know it’s going to jump on me a little bit so here we go 176 I got nine iron pin is St into the front so just going to if I do go long that’s perfect little left of it

Sit wow that went so far dude I think I just hit this Niner like a 195 y holy cow the pin is like 176 and that’s probably like 40t long of it either we’re Juiced up from the flight or this Arizona air is uh pretty dry and thin because we’re cutting right

Through it I got to get used to that looks like sun Kang over there getting ready for the waste management next week actually put yeah Sun King he’s on tour he probably putting a few balls down probably getting a hold of the greens and everything so that’s pretty cool a

Lot of these guys that for example the um what is it P Beach P beaches this week some people that aren’t in the event they’ll be out here a week early practicing so that’s pretty cool to see uh you can tend it if you want yeah

He’s going to tend this one we got about a 40-footer all downhill so when you watch this week when they play the waste management these guys are so good at lag putting and that’s something I felt like I’ve gotten a lot better at as well so

Here we go 40 ft down the hill it’s going to move a little right at the end so hopefully we get this read right wow dude right when I say that how quick was that oh jeez I’d sent it right through the break holy cow man wow wow wow wow not

What we wanted right there 12T left for par Shez now I can see it from here dude it’s literally on a mountain that wasn’t the the best part from your boy but hopefully I can make a comebacker here this would be huge wow it stayed straight dang it it’s all

Right wow that was fast all right here we go old number nine we got 460 straight away pretty much straight at the flag or a little probably left of those bunkers yeah after that bogey looking for a good drive here ah lost it right again dang wow got away with it carried the

Bunkers y wow ham hit it good but we’re still missing it right right of the target that was right of the right bunker so we keep missing it right we got to figure something out that’s not good so if 141 pin I’m going to play this about 130 cuz

As we know this is one of those jumper lies um they’re going to assess it so well you know next week but this is a cool little finishing hole on the front nine you got like a lot of grand STS in the back I obviously Miss This in the

Right place being over these bunkers but all right we’re going to hit like a 125 1 30 shot hoping it jumps out of this rust here we go that jumped sit down sit sit sit all right kind of pulled it a here but we still got to put at birdie I

Think it’s like 30 ft just left of the flag hopefully we can make the crowd go wild all right thank you yeah that was quick I mean I tried to just get it over that Hill thank you thank you bro appreciate it all right two over through nine holes

Safe to say it wasn’t my best but I’m always keeping my head up I think the best part of my game is my mental game I always stay in it and I know those birdies are coming so a lot of these Pros if they’re playing a really good

Round they’ll be under par or even on the front and then they just take it so deep on the back so that’s our plan here hole number 10 think either driver or three-wood so let’s push it up there all right time to get things rolling we’re

Going to guess a little four under on this back n here we go right at the Arizona flag straight at that bunker in front of us wow that was hit well hopefully it covers that right one there we go there’s one good swing this is what I’m

Going to do on this on this back nine I’m going to take it one shot at a time make a great swing on this shot go to the next shot make a great swing on this shot go to the next shot that’s going to be my mentality and then hopefully we

Walk away with a little four under on this back nine baby you know those drives where you feel like you couldn’t have placed it any better in the Fairway this is one of them absolutely perfect right down the middle 111 yard into this pin going to knock it

Close oh that is right at It Go in freaking Dart right there just past the pin probably about 10 or 20 ft yeah that one felt good that one felt good inside left Edge nothing else to it God that one felt good it’s all right it’s okay that was that was probably the

Best roll of the day but take the par move on still got eight more birdie tries left man that was that was probably the best roll of the day so I’m happy about that just going to go in it’s all right number one handicap toughest hole in the course hole 11 470

Here we go we need a good one here that is crushed right at that tree right at that tree bomb that one that one was crushed 147 little down off the left wind hit this exactly the number hopefully I’m going to call a hole out right here told you go

Go there we go 10 ft below the hole hey that is 11 for 11 greens and regulation safe to say uh these things are uh helping me stripe them on the green just got to get this butter rolling come on baby this needs to go here um we got

About 20 ft really been strip in the ball today and um got to put some good uh got to put some good Juju on this putter got to get at least one to fall and then they all start falling so oh oh my goodness gracious scaring the

Hole the par man just call me the par man with a few bogeys Man David that a scare another great roll another great roll all right hole 12 here at TBC Scottdale this is one of the holes I want you guys to watch when they play this weekend it’s

About 200 yard 192 on the box probably 200 there’s water right that sneaks out there’s a bunker left so I would really watch this hole especially if you watch it on TV they’re really going to be strategic with their long irons so um we

Played it one box up I hit a nine but they’re probably going to probably play maybe a 7 to 5 hour here so this is one of the holes to watch hole number 12 here all right I think we’re just on the front edge wind kind of hit it a ton but

Just on the front edge still got a putt at it though yeah I got it I got working left off the start and then straighten it back out at the end straight at it won’t kill us anyway all right here we go just on the French here looking for

One to fall the anticipation of a birdie is on another look good look Here I went left Big Town man could have pulled it but all right par won’t hurt us here it’s good hole good hole wow wow oh wow best one of the day right there put a little bit of back into that one let’s go two over so far honestly I been

Playing Great Golf literally probably missed a handful of Fairways haven’t missed the green yet we’re pretty much cruising at this point just got to get the putter hot especially coming off different greens different grass haven’t played this course before so um but that shot right there is what you dream of

That right there is going to produce some birdies let’s go well must have got a funky kick cuz now we’re in the uh so we’re over here in this waste area which is not really what I’m used to being from Florida so it’s kind of like uh small little Pebbles that they’ll have

To probably face here this week I mean you can see it basically every single Mis Fairway is either in this desert area um small little Pebbles but you really got to feel like you hit down on it and B it’s a ball first type of live

For sure so what he just said is we have 208 flag I have a six iron um if we hit it right at that TV tower where it says 13 we should have a putt for Eagle so I’m going to try to aim right there maybe try to hit a smooth little draw

Off this line and uh stick it close here we go another thing I like to do especially in lies like this that are tough to grip is pigeon toe my feet so that way I don’t have as much lower body turn so that’s another uh point of emphasis as

Well a overdrew it little left all right we are putting long putt for Eagle long putt all right this just shows you es how much of a game changer Tiger Woods is and how Monumental he is he actually had uh a ruling this exact Rock right here so him and a bunch of

The fans he hit his ball over here all the fans actually got together and moved this rock and that just shows you the influence Tiger Tiger Woods has and he actually had a rule changed that now only players and caddies can move a rock and not necessarily fans so that’s kind

Of crazy that just because of that shot it changed everything with that ruling get in there get in there oh my gosh I am all over those lips oh it gave it a run though gave it a freaking run dude that was such a good

Putt I had a feeling that was going in for there we go finally he breaks let’s go man that feels good that feels good good read on that first one that is how easy golf is two pup for birdie just walk away just do the same thing on the next

Hole and guess what you’ll be 18 [Laughter] hey meanus hole out here Par Four Hole 14 this is the ones that you guys got to watch on TV it’s a it’s a killer so we’re going to try to go right over the right edge of that bunker Straight

Ahead um yeah that is absolutely ideal absolutely ideal hey that’s that post birdie feels right there oh no that P birdie feel okay right edge of the Green in the pen got it let’s go ahead and put another one close all right we are dancing we’re

Dancing pull just a hair but that’s why you aim in the right spots because of that stuff right there because I wanted to be on the right side I do tend to pull it so that put me just left of the flag probably about 20 or 30 ft and

Goodness gracious we are absolutely cruising Fairway green unfortunately we’ve been two- putting but now we need a one putt let’s go Meanest hole out there we took a par it was pretty mean to me on that putt man par man unfortunately par man hey 15 16 17 and 18 this four stretch here the best holes probably the most famous holes in golf you guys are going stay

Tuned for this one this is crazy this is going to be crazy literally what I’ve been looking forward to this whole day from 5:00 a.m. when I woke up actually from 3 months ago when I booked at T time till now I’ve been looking forward

To this all right I want you to zoom up on this Fairway on this background on that hole right there this is exactly what I’ve been waiting for for the past 3 months is this moment right here we got a par five whole 15 here and this about what 560 yep 553

553 par five it is time to go to work we nuked it but little right probably just going to be a hair in the rough or in the sand could be a tough birdie from there oh man oh man this makes me really want to go all right wow

We only have 215 in this part five safe to say I got a hold of that one probably hit that about 330 340 but this is really where you know decision making and course management actually comes into play cuz if I’m if my number right

Now is 692 so you know I’m not even closer I need to make a birdie here so if let’s say you want to try to win the tournament or get a top five you’re this is a tweener shot so usually I would say you know most guys are going to go for

It the thing is there’s water short so at the end of the day it’s it’s what situation are you in so I’m in a situation where I’m down so I got to go for it here so this is this is going to be good for

Sure I’m going to try to hit like a low punch five just try to go for it this where the this where the men are separated from the boys right here really try to VIs ize this one got low punch five up and around all right I got

It need a birdie come on now oh my gosh go in the hole go in the hole oh my God we landed like 4 feet away from it holy cow shot oh my God God we just pulled it off look dude look at this Gap right here

Squat down look at that right where he’s running so I had to hit that little holy cow that was just like that three what we hit earlier man this is where men are separated from boys right there right there this is would be a huge Eagle all right this would be huge here

We go downhill Eagle put try it get in let’s go hell of a read hell of a read let’s go baby they were waiting for that moment they were all waiting for that moment right there they’re all look at the crowd the crowd’s going wild the crowd’s going

Wild oh my God I couldn’t make one all day and I make that one are you kidding me are you freaking kidding me dude that fist pump yeah I should have H with the with the linebacker just wow that feels so good Eagle in 15 now we’re going to

16 and you guys know the stadium hole we back baby yeah here we go baby all right let’s go D She I’m going to walk through it dude that is so crazy holy cow dude look at This holy cow let’s go let’s go we made it we freaking made it man this is the moment I’ve been waiting for dude take this all in with me holy cow this is insane literally insane it’s only 160 yards but to see this literally like a stadium hole it feels like I’m back

Where I belong on the football field holy cow I can’t believe this is real this shot I’m about to hit obviously the the professional tea is closed with the tournament this week we’re going to go up there hey we’re going to try to make

It whole one if we make it whole one I’m shipping all of you guys that comment below a club that you want so let’s go make this whole one I’m shipping all of you guys a club if I make this let’s go wow the moment you’ve all been waiting for 120

Yard shot on this Stadium hole look at everybody look at everyone piping me up hey hey hey this is what I would do I would do that if I was in here and everyone was I would literally have everyone on their feet going nuts so here we go 120 yards

I got a 54 degree man all right this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for right here let’s go hold in one time hold in one time oh oh baby oh baby we got to look that’s all we can ask for we got to look

Let’s go let’s go holy cow this one ain’t no joke there boys we are living absolutely living 16 baby we made it we made it let’s go baby the moment you all been waiting for let’s see if we can birdie 16 here we go little uphill putt going

To break little left to right probably about a cup or two outside all right got the read we’re locked in see if we can get it ah played too much play too much hey good par though I will take the par here not a lot of booze coming out of the

Crowd though not no booze no booze that’s good that’s good we’ll take the par on 16 we’ll head to the next I have no idea where to hit it so possibly a hole in one here we go oh my gosh oh my gosh right on the

Flag right on it go in go in go in dude that’s so close probably about 20 fet holy cow hey we’ve hitting some awesome drives talk about a perfect Drive we even got backspin on that one literally flew it 320 yard so safe to say that was an absolute

BMB dude this is literally insane I feel like I’m still in a dream right now look at this whole 16 and it’s actually crazy how how close this water is to the green like if you pull it ever so slightly left you’re literally gone you’re gone

You’re dropping hit a good one on on four on 15 16 and now 17 oh man if I make this I’m kissing you whoa probably overall flat putt for the eagle this would be huge all right man that broke a lot more than I thought can you see on the camera how

Dark it it is it’s literally insane these guys when they play in the dark they’re so good at reading the greens I have no idea so this would be huge here put us right where we want us dang dang oh we need a birdie on 18 we need a birdie on 18 you

Yeah oh my God that’s the fourth three put of the day hey holy cow I’m so glad I made that put on 15 or else I would be in the dogghouse right now we need one birdie to hit the under one birdie we’re at one under if we make birdie 69 we

Make par 70 so here we go whole 18 let’s go all right the biggest Factor they’re going to go through this whole week is playing with noise playing with the crowd so how do you handle that you go back to your preparation you go back

To your breathing so what I like to do 3 seconds in hold it 3 seconds out especially with all the things going on all the distractions you want to stay in your game stay in your lane head down and breathe that’s the number one thing

These guys are going to do to take them to the next level and to win this tournament wow perfect I almost reached the other bunkers dang let’s go dude I put that heat on it 116 yards into 18 and it was like 450 yards I cremated that ball wow
