Refusing to shake hands with Hong Kong's Chief Executive, John Lee, and other officials was not in keeping with the respectful demeanor expected of a public figure. Hong Kong extended its utmost hospitality by sending an excellent delegation to welcome him, yet we have not observed such behavior from a football star of his stature before.
