Had more changes here at Sgt so uh we’ve been a little bit LAX as far as putting out videos but today um is a common request I get we’re going to have a look at my what’s in the bag for 2023 most of last season so I’m going to run through

What I’ve been using what I’ve liked what I haven’t liked and we’ll have a good look at that all right so my wedges haven’t changed at all really in recent times I’ve got um stricken ZX7 gap wedge here at about 49° a little bit stronger than normal uh 14 RM for

54° and then the RM for 60° in an S grind so these are all the same that I’ve had for a while now uh in my gap wedge I run the fujiura pro in the 95 stiff and and then in the The Sand Wedge and L wedge I run the 115

Stiff just to make them a little bit heavier a little bit better around the greens for those um you know those shorter shots um I love the RMS they’re really really soft so you know I’ve played soft for GS for a while and so the RMS give me that really really soft

Feel plenty of spin I use the S grind over the L grind it’s just a little bit more forgiving I play mostly on on Kik which is kind of thick and can be quite grainy and if you’ve got something with a really really low bounce or sharp Ed

Is going to get stuck so the S grind works well for me um for 95% of the time okay so no changes this year despite um threatening to change for a long time I’ve kept the same same iron so original um original ZX7 they’re getting a bit beaten up now

They’ve been me with me for a good two years just about maybe 18 months something like that still with fujikura Pro graphite irons I can’t see myself getting into steel at any at any stage soon so they’re the same the only difference I did make is in my for iron

I went to the zx5 just for a little bit more forgiveness uh a little bit easier launch I’ve H some really nice shots with that this season so that’s been the only real change to my eyes it’s just gone for forgiveness in my for IR only okay so moving into the top end

This is where I have changes weekly um nothing really St days for for for very long but I think you know the best thing for me to say would be um what I’ve kept mostly in the bag for this season so the the head of my hybrid has stayed the

Same Cobra King Tech it’s been the same the whole time I haven’t changed that at all yet um does pretty well it’s a pretty wide you know it’s a pretty long head so I find it pretty easy to hit the thing that I do change the shaft but probably between Ventus 8s Ventus

Blue 8s and the other one I I tend to use is the LA a series in the mid 85 um which I like I really like them both the vent is probably a little bit more forgiving I get a little bit more ball speed I get a little bit more height so

Unless I’m playing in a really windy day and I want to keep it down a bit then the Ventus hybrid is my definitely my go-to in the hybrid shaft along with that Cobra head so my battle with 3 W continues um I started the year with AOG

Yet which was great uh probably a little bit too much spin not enough forgiveness in LS I’ve hit tsr3 uh I think I mean my the one that I finished the season on it’s no longer in my bag but I finished the season with the stealth the original stealth titanium

Head love it to be fair I’ve hit some really great shots with it big change also I’ve gone to tr blue in um 7s in the Fairway this F is quite consistent I know what it’s going to do for me this hasn’t been a bad club now

Like I said that 3-wood head is out of my bag as of February 2024 um you know new products coming in new testing happening so but this one uh wasn’t bad for the season actually really really liked it okay so driver for the year uh again been through mean drivers all different

Types Brands shafts you name it hit them all I think my best performer this year was tsr3 9° um and then I had a couple of shafts that I used most of the year I used Ventus blue TR but lately I’ve been using uh MIT bishy tensei 1K blue in a

6S combined with like I say this TSR 3 head this thing’s amazing I think I have probably hit some of my longest drives without the spin being ridiculously low now it is quite low but it’s it’s pretty controllable and I’ve hit a lot I’ve had a lot of really really good driving

Rounds I think think I might need to up the spin a little bit so and that’ll get back to my golf ball choice so um yeah but tsr3 really I I would say the best driver for 2023 comfortably I mean that that’s a fairly typical

Drive for me with this driver um I found it goes you know pretty long pretty high pretty straight all the above if I do have a little Miss with this 1K blue I do get the odd hook but it’s not um to the point where I’m massively concerned I know it comes from

Slightly low spin I’m not massively concerned about it that drive then that I hit uh spin number was 21106 so pretty nice I mean that’s a fairly typical drive with this tsr3 uh one of the last full titanium drivers left everything’s gone to carbon crowns trying to get

Weight down all the rest of it I love the look I love the feel everything about this driver I’ve really enjoyed I’m I’m going to look forward to to trying out some new stuff for 2024 but certainly tsr3 was a big winner for me the poter has

Been last 8 mons I’ve been arm locking um sick arm lock flow heavy one biggest one they got uh La golf shaft this combo really hasn’t changed I did go through a period where I thought uh maybe I could go back to normal putting because I was

Putting pretty well with the armlock and I thought maybe I could go back to a standard 35 tried it for probably five or 6 weeks and it wasn’t great so I’m back in the arm loock uh I’ll still be looking to I mean I’d love to get back to a standard

Poter I feel like armlocks a little bit cheating um with its you know anchoring on the Forum they let us do it so I’m going to continue to do it um but I do love the poter I love the start lines I get from it and in all honesty if I’m

Competing in anything uh certainly that’s the PO I’d go to so same poter might be here for a while okay so last thing is the ball um I would say probably 10 months of this year has been spent with stricks and Z Star DME I think it’s an exceptional ball it it

Has a good last I mean not I only use one ball around I don’t go through three or four I use one maybe sometimes two um but certainly after 18 holes it looks okay Chuck it in my shag bag to chip with um not to it’s the right blend of

Of Spin and feel for me uh recently I have gone to back to prov1x so the titless prov1x has been my bag recently now that’s probably to get that spin number perfect with the driver cuz it’s been bordering on low spin so the prob 1X will fly a

Little higher and probably spin a little bit more than the Z star Diamond um got to be careful with the pitch shots they don’t come back too far with the prov1x but I like both golf balls I mean I have finished and I’m currently playing prov1x but I did play the vast majority

Of this year’s golf with the Zed star Diamond a great great golf ball okay so there you have it my 2023 season what’s in the bag uh 2024 is going to be Big Year all new gear coming out we’ve got some new brands arriving very soon

At Sgt so um there’s a good chance that I don’t know possibly 14 clubs could be changed I’m not uh dissatisfied with any of my clubs in my bag or in that 2023 rundown I’ve already been testing new drivers Fairways I got some new wedges

So there’s a whole heap going on um I’ll keep you all updated as to any changes
