Excited for this um just before we get started tell us a bit about your game like how have you started what’s your game like and how can we get you going away really happy today um well I started about a year ago and to be honest with you I feel like I’ve picked

Up pretty quick but I’ve obviously got some bad habits and it’s just inconsistent okay so some some days I’ll I’ll have the best run of my life and I be I’ve cracked it and then I’ll then I’ll go back to the same course a week later and and hit 120 round you know

What I mean so yeah it’s inconsistent and to be honest with you um today I’d like we’ve already spoken about it but to hit a straight shot is probably like what you said the hardest shot to to hit yeah but if I can get anything looking as straight as possible then I’ll be

I’ll be I’ll be leaving happy okay and your flight we’ve seen a couple of warmth shots goes a little goes little left to right a little low and some of the strikes maybe a little steep and a little inconsistent so if we can get you some straighter shots some slightly

Better strikes m little higher as well we’ve seen some of the shots coming out like a rocket I’d love that so if we can do that you’re playing after this game yeah so we’ll keep it simple but I I think we can make some big differences

With just a couple of real small changes today yeah and like my aim for the year I’m sitting at a 15 handicapper okay I’d love to get down to like single figures by the end of the year it’s a big ask but I feel like today today you’re on

The pth you’re you’re in the right place okay let’s takeit a few warm-up shots as well just so the guys can watch as well and then we’ll uh we’ll get into it what a setting by the way San Diego I know it’s long way from wolver Hampton and yeah

Man so there’s a good example isn’t it yeah pretty solid strike a little bit low left to right let’s let’s keep going let’s get a few more he just likes performing on the camera on the camera that’s all it is it just showing off exactly that was nice I

Mean yeah that felt nice yeah but I couldn’t I couldn’t tell you what was different from the first one to that one okay do you know what I mean yeah yeah so just quickly before you one more tell me your thoughts you mentioned something before on camera what are you thinking

About well I’m thinking about my setup at first like how far away from the ball I am I like to in my head like have a that kind of distance and then I’m thinking about my club coming into my right pocket okay and trying to keep it

As deep into that pocket as possible and the reason for that cuz you’ve seen you swing and you mentioned it off camera yeah I think the reason for that is so I’m not coming over the ball yeah do you know what I mean and getting that sort

Of cutting across and this is what those divots are doing aren’t they just there yeah and we’re excited P aren’t we when we see somebody who’s who’s got some ability’s got some ability I think a couple of changes we’re going to see it quite different and that’s the thing is that’s

Golf though isn’t it you get one your nailed and then one okay let’s uh let me grab my club see if I was on the of course doing that club will be okay there’s your swap places here then time and I’ll go through it with

You and um so I mean we’ve shown you on on the video a little earlier but for the for the guys watching this your setup’s really nice mhm if anything we get sometimes a little a little too far which which then just throws you off balance so if there’s one small thing

We’re going to get you just standing a little closer this gap’s okay but we’re going to get you a little taller uhhuh you move the club Away really really nice pretty close to plane we get to the top of the golf swing but on the way

Down now what we see as and you’ve seen it the club gets way in front and then you swing across the golf ball like that over the top but this is why the divots are pointing left okay now the reason for that isn’t to do with your arm and

You’re and this is where you I’m trying to get this in here everything is to do with how you’re moving your body and most people struggle with this they’re thinking about trying to get the club more from the inside but if we move the body in a different way it’s going to be

So much easier when you say that my whole body are just like hips or what whole body but in the back swing not in the down swing okay you want to come back in it I’m just going to go through probably the most important drilling golf I think this could be a ball

Statement but it could be I think it’s the most important drilling Golf and you’re going to feel the difference this so if you stand here I just want you to get your right foot here for me and I’m going to just take you through the

Feeling of what we want so we get it right across the top here good so just stand in your go in your posture as if you’re going to take your about to jump out of a plane so take your stands for me and I want you to go keep coming this way

Until the heel gets to the the shaft Perfect all right so I’m going to do a back swing with you and you’re going to just tell me how this feels different okay so eyes down where the ball will be eyes down where the ball will be okay

Okay okay okay okay okay right there you go now there okay so you can hear his voice so there’s a really solid back swing what’s different everything everything yeah okay it hurts it hurts back are fully engaged okay describe it for me what do you feel I

Feel more straight as in like comeing I’m just going to get you into the place so notice now I’ve got this club over this one yeah you’ll feeling all all all through here yeah yeah stretch feel lazy okay you know what I mean and it is a

Big old stretch it’s a big stretch yeah now this is what’s going to help you get the club more on plane because what you do is we don’t quite rotate enough in the back swing which actually just then gets you to swing over the top yeah and

We just what places again actually I and I’ll show you this from down the line if I don’t turn that much on the way back that’s what I’m doing at the moment this is what you’re doing at the moment if then I apply the power which you’ve got

Loads of it swings over but watch this as I now create a pivot on the way back can you see the difference in the turn yeah this now creates the space on the way down for your arms to fall in yeah so you’re trying to get the arm into a

Place that the body body’s not there yeah so if we create the space you got loads of room here now this one simple thing will have a KnockOn effect of everything else and your average path what was the average path P average path was bear with me 6.7 de to the left so

6.7 left you want to hear it straighter we need to get that just somewhat close to zero this is the answer to that the last one let’s just do a couple of these swings the last one was 12.3 left so we get the right foot on the other side in

Your golf posture bit wider stance and what I want you to do so just lean forward for us is if you’re going to play a shot bit more that’s it I want you I want this club to match that club on the ground so you see how it’s a it’s a

Different move Al together isn’t it yeah look at my knee exactly perfect perfect so there’s just more of a an opening of the body now yeah man feel the difference yeah definitely and this one thing it really will change everything does this affect where I need to be

Putting my ball and where I’m setting up as well as in like does anything need to change there too good question uh we’ll find out as soon as we hit the shot okay we might not at the moment right um cuz I think the setup looks pretty solid

Apart from just that distance sometimes you just get a little stretched away from it yeah so before we even hit a shot I want you to put it into a a move for me just a couple of practice swings where you feel that you’ve got that

Turn okay good back and through for me nice and slow pretty slow and all the way through just want you to just feel what it’s like to just go to put it into a full swing let me do one with you ready keep hold of the club swing back and

Then through there feel the difference there yeah so we really now completing the turn in the back swing and I feel like I’ve got more I’m more grounded in my feet good yeah well now we’re really like building up some sort of talk and some tension nice that was perfect nice

Really really good we’re also going to see less sand less ground I’m the they’ll be be sending you a bill for some new turf at the end of this we’re going to go off a tea because I don’t want you worried about the strike I just want you to think about

Let’s go here I just there’s no more glass left I want you to think about the I want you to think about the move okay just give me that turn on the way back doesn’t matter what happens O Okay the sound of that very nice okay look at the number wow we’re

Done but can you see how yeah man can you see how one change on the way back you’re not thinking about the right arm you’re not trying to get it from the inside how you move that body completely changes everything but it’s a really simple move and we want what I want to

See with this I’m like this yes but what I want like at home boys you’re not ready for me I’m taking everyone’s money but what I want to see with this now we want to start to hit a few of these build some consistency and then

See what happens to the flight we we may change one more thing but I want to just see how this goes for US ah okay look at the shape look at the shape yeah I’m okay with that at this stage don’t worry too much about the uh

The shot why was that CU did I shut my face Club face was a little closed that’s okay though okay look at the shape what a strike yeah that’s so powerful but I I felt that I felt I felt my hands go over there what does that say yeah 1.4 to the

Right the opposite so that now you’ve gone from uh you’ve gone from hitting this sort of squeezy fade within a few shots now you’ve hit this this right to left just because just because of the rotation yeah my hands no the just because this okay yeah yeah one thing

That we’re going to do as we said before we’re going to take out the right side of the golf course for you yeah you would it’s going to be very hard for you now to hit this yeah this this fader I’ve never hit a shot like that to be

Honest with you it’s always out to the right so always that way yeah really nice very nice good what was the number on that one okay look at the number top right yeah yeah come on by the way that’s amazing not bad nice not bad 50% speed

Got the number again let’s have a look at it 31 that’s as high as you’re going to go ready I think let’s go 79 move it up the bag 79 yeah this is sick by the way I’m loving it yeah yeah really good you’re doing great by the way this is

Well good doing really good if you just do this for the next 3 months you’ll be about golfer without you having to think about like where your arms or where the club is or the right like technical thoughts will just go out the window so a little low but Direction

Wise was was was right on the money yeah your tendency I’ll show you I’ve slipped back into the No it’s it’s definitely better your tendency is this we get a little like on the left side I just want to make sure that we get this left

Shoulder back over to the right so get the club across your shoulders again yep feet a little wider okay so from here when I do this with you you should feel like you’re a little bit more behind the ball yeah do more away from the target

Yeah yeah so which which leg do you feel the most weight on this back one this this one here on on that one yeah so this is where I want you to be so you should be feeling there’s a lot more weight in here yeah so I’m when when I’m

At the range just before I even hit a ball put a club down every five shots do the drill and just go just get yourself here it’s just such a key thing get yourself here and just make sure that gets back look you can see this is back

Now over the right leg Yeah yours earlier would have probably been about here y if we get it back over here you should feel the majority of the weight in here bit more there you go it’s a big turn isn’t it yeah a massive turn yeah

See if we can just Square the feet up as well we’re a little a little left of this I want you to feel that the feet a bit a bit more parallel to this blue line so I want you to aim a little bit more to the right the way to the body

Yeah bit further right that’s it let me just put let me put something down actually I want your body to be your feet to be parallel to this like that y okay brilliant Beau it’s so good look at that yeah I’m happy with that just sweing a bit more now turn are you

Thinking about the weight at all Tom I am okay that’s that’s where so here we go I can tell so soon as you start thinking about the weight sometimes we got to be so careful in what we say cuz if if I say you need to feel the weight

On the right leg what people start doing is then it’s going I’ve got to I’ll do this we’re now sitting into the leg what’s the difference in this I’m just going to rotate I’m not there’s no sway no but also I want you to watch what happens to this leg as

Well as I swing back watch what happens to the leg there a little bit of flex in it watch what happens on the way back see how I lose a little bit of the flex yeah now if I start thinking about getting the weight there I do this and

Then I can’t turn yeah so on the last couple of shots you’ve you’ve had there we’ve almost kept a little bit too much Bend in the leg Yeah man whereas if we look at the difference here as soon as I straighten this leg oh yeah it’d enables

Me to turn so let’s free that side up and we’ll start to see the numbers come back I mean that’s it oh I mean it doesn’t get any it doesn’t get any better in terms of the contact on that BR it will bring you back doesn’t get

Any better in terms of the contact on that one so we’re just going to make one adjustment in the setup so if you take your normal setup for us so all I’m going to get you to do in your setup is just nudge the hips this way this way

Yeah that’s it so you feel the hips are this way and the upper body is feeling like it’s a littleit off a little tilted yeah yeah and from here rotate okay perfect all I want you to just to be is just a little this way so we just go slightly forward it means

This the spine is that’s it and it’s only just a it’s such a a small amount just a real small amount for you and then we can just get that rotation good it just puts your upper body in a slightly better place yeah little drifted out right but a

Great strike yeah I think I was a bit too far away from the ball still was I or was all right I think that was okay look at the club path wa 0.0 okay there you go oh wow there you go that felt unreal Can You Feel the

Difference in the commitment to the back swing on that one yes you were like look at us right next to the p hold him one that under two it’s good yes good stuff I mean that one there is exactly what we’re going to see more of once that starts to feel more

Comfortable now if you look on screen guys you’ll see the before and after now front on you’ll see how much now Tom has in terms of that rotation massive and that really helps him when you look from the down the line now of where that club

Comes from in terms of That Swing plane no more over the top that club is a lot closer to the plane still maybe needs a little bit of work on that but you’re on the right track now to to making a big difference guys hope you enjoyed that

  4. I was 6.5 OTT. took stacks of lessons until I found the right coach. He done same drill with me and wishing ONE hour I was 0.1 💥🏌🏻 This works, trust these guys! Also, was hitting my 7 iron 150 before lesson. During lesson I added 25 😳
