And somebody said he’s like the fabito Romano of of F1 who apparently is very very sort of like good source for things in football oh when you should be able to correct me on that um CU you know I’m I’m not lying football you got it I only

Got it because someone else said it um I cannot take any credit for that one but you know it’s just um you know I don’t know about you boys but it’s just it feels like it sort of just come from absolutely nowhere and I wonder if obviously has it though these rumors

Have been going around for a long time well this is sort of mean you know they’ve been they’ve been going around you know there’s always you know and you know Ferrari is synonymous with F1 you know it’s one of well it’s the name F1 Les be F closely followed by McLaren and

Then Williams I’d say but it’s gone from sort of like oh yeah hold join Ferrari to Mercedes apparently got like some internal meeting at 2 o’cl so that is in an hour and 45 minutes time where you know Toto and James Allison and all the

Rest of it they’re all going to you know sort of like discuss it then I mean I I think Hamilton’s also looking like past F1 do anybody want to why I’m thinking there’s something else there’s a sweetener on this deal I don’t understand why he would sign a two-year

Deal with Mercedes to then less than six months later sign another deal with Ferrari unless this unless he signed that deal with this you know this really uh like really leaky uh option in there which allows him to get out of it or or even that it was it was discussed with

Toto that you know we’ll sign this two-year deal but um I might you know if things don’t go well the end of this season I might well look at going somewhere else and and I know that the last couple of contracts he’s signed he’s been getting less and less money I

I can only assume this Ferrari contract is a massive huge payday as well um not that that’s his prime motivation his motivation is getting the eighth Championship but but you’re not going to do it in a Ferrari though I don’t know like they they let’s be honest 2017 and

2018 they had a car that could have won the World Championship and that’s if Le Hamilton was in that car instead of Sebastian vettle I think leis Hamilton wins a couple of championships for Ferrari so he 2018 yeah why would waited for a year why would you not wait till

2026 it just seems really random to go in at 25 designing the car I feel like his plan was to go for 26 but then they’ve they’ve um the opportunity came for 25 and he’s gone well let’s do a year early and then get used to it like like Alonzo

Did my only thought is science has been given an offer and that’s what’s pushed the boat on quite quickly do you not think sorry when you were going to say something well I’m just thinking 2026 why would you I I almost wouldn’t want to go too early

Because that’s a new engine RS unless he’s un unless twice in the same in the same career which seems kind of insane that we’d have you know Ferrari have gone right stuff the V6 regulations that we’ve currently got we’re not going to be able to do that um you know we’ll

Never get on on a on a par with with the power that Mercedes and and uh and Honda now have you know he going to be caued again um and you know Ferrari have essentially just nailed down you know done done a Mercedes and just gone right we can’t do

It and and poured all their resources into it um and do a similar thing because I mean it would be ridiculous if it happened twice um but I think that’s why you don’t go 2026 you know you you almost want that year EXT that year to

Learn the team and then and then you’re as as Tom says on on a bit of a par um as he was uh it’s a huge career risk it’s a huge career risk to go to risk his legacy going up against who I think is currently the fastest qualifier in

Formula 1 possibly in the history of the sport it’s a huge gamble I think overall Hamilton is is probably the uh at the moment the the stronger presence in Formula 1 but lir like he’s he’s the real deal and in the right scenario he is a multiple world champion so to go up

Against that when you’ve got Max V stappen with no real competitor in the car opposite and then to give George Russell the whole team like you know he’s I think he he knows that he’s potentially got the measure of Russell at the moment over the next couple of

Years so to give up to give Russell an entire organization behind him trying to win that World Championship it’s a huge risk on Multi God help me if George Russell wins Championship but um the thing is is that it feels like a bit of a midlife crisis do you know like he’s

He’s a Merc driver and now he’s suddenly got the old Banger of a Ferrari that he’s just gotten bought and he wants to to drive that around um that’s what it feels like it feels like he’s actually it’s not a career suicide it’s a career change because he is stagnant he is

Stagnant in Mercedes there where’s he gonna go but what what you know how’s he gonna get better it feels like he’s done his time there and maybe that’s it he wants a new challenge and something exciting to drive around in that and and with an exciting brand name the thing is

Is he going to fail by being in a Ferrari he’s he could always jump back out and go to wherever do you know what I mean I don’t think anyone’s return to McLaren return to McLaren but like what you know I don’t feel that there’s any um uh real sort of

Issue with his career I don’t think it’s a career nightmare yeah and you know I I wonder if there’s like an element of when Schumaker went to Mercedes you know where way back when and you know is is it a case of um he knows something we don’t obviously we’ve

Got the engine regs in 2026 you know is is there is there is there going to be more to it you know there’s is there well there’s there’s obviously something we don’t know because this has gone from being this is this has gone from being like it might happen to it sounds like

It’s going to happen and as I think KL you said earlier there’s no smoke without fire and something’s happening and you know it it does look like it looks like it’s going to happen so I want to steer the conversation a little bit who replaces Hamilton and

Mercedes I’m GNA now I flag to the gate place right now and say um Antonelli straight in as a rookie right in the Mercedes he’s only going into F2 this year a he I know well I mean that that’s that’s cavea by how he does in F2 if

They goes the way does yeah or certainly if he does does well in F2 Lando Norris got the nod by finishing second but that’s CU he didn’t have as good a car as the other guys but uh for me it’d be him or the other option would be es ban

Aon um as Lou mentioned in the chat given that he is managed by totto wolf but um and also he has also done a very good job oon over the last few years um you’re gonna have to eat your words St I know I know I’m just saying that to try

Think contracts have gone out of Windows this now um is Oscar pestry I mean clearly the contracts are out the windows because what like Hilton’s on a is extended until 20 until end of 2025 but you know if you can do a break clause or a get out clause or you

Know what just do the good oldfashioned pay the contract off um like clearly it doesn’t matter so I mean you know Mark Weber’s the sort of person who’s going to manage P3 well clearly they’re fairly ruthless when it comes to the comes to the contract so if they if they can do

It you know I wonder why if this is why r noris also signed that contract and got that contract signed there was something rumors going around early on about him and he just went to take his Mark in the ground that’s not a about shot you know actually I think

Certainly Merc McLaren would have wanted to lock him in if they were knowing that they that all those rumors that a Mercedes seat might have been uh coming available I wonder caros s knew about this before today as well I’m sure he did I think he’s last two years Tom

Ferrari to announce his replacement without selling him that’s right what that’s an Alpine isn’t it that’s an Al job yeah you’re one this screams a vetal Ferrari 2020 it does I will say um don’t ask how I know apparently it’s not a two it’s not a 2:00 meeting it’s a 2:30 meeting with

Toto in attendance uh I’ve heard this yeah yeah no it’s uh it’s that’s a full company meeting and I think that pretty much confirms it bearing in mind youve got the no comments coming out of Ferrari as well I think this is nailed on yeah I think something is going on

And and whether there full meeting is an announcement to the team which would then be pressed quite quickly so we should know about three three o’clock as to really what’s going on I think yeah 3 o UK GMT um like it will be interesting and you know how long’s how long’s Toto got

Left at Mercedes as well owner he’s different but as team principal he’s just signed a new deal as well not that means anything but he’s just signed deal as Perez deals could be broken well let’s be honest he signed a new deal with a third of himself like you know

Remember he owns a third of that team so there’s a certain amount and you know Jim ratliff’s not exactly sort of he he’s moving around but they they what how was how did that deal work I don’t remember I don’t remember if if they diluted the the

Stake of each Mercedes and uh and Toto but I know it’s a bit weird it’s it’s it’s split completely evenly a third isn’t it yeah third third third and what about where where where could signs go now Audi year off and then go to Audi a year

Off I I no I don’t think take a year off can you see him go to salba for a year though that’s bot sorry stake he’s better than botas yeah I mean he is show he’s not that’s what I’m saying does he take a year off in inverted commas um and

Actually sign to Audi next year and you know be ready for Audi can’t see him leaving Formula 1 for a year to then join an Audi team that’s probably not going to be front the field I think he’d rather be in an uncompetitive saber than that well the rumor of L Norris going

There has obviously being squashed as well but has now yeah I think science was always their top Target but this deal has just massively reduced Carlos science’s stock in the sense that that he would have been able to name his price to Ali but now they know he hasn’t

Got a choice and it might just be that Ali is his best option yeah but if he goes to AI or saber or whatever the fck they want to call it like he’s not going to go in this year now so so it’s does he he then ends up sort of floating for

A year doesn’t he well no if think because he’s still there he’s still at Ferrari this year isn’t he so then it’s just 25 it will be uh it could potentially be a a steak or s or whatever they’re calling thes this week for the season you watch um Carlos will

Have the season of his life this year I hope so I mean Aston Martin would be a good would be a good shout especially if Alonzo gets the move to Mercedes can you imagine that dancing chairs well well I’ll I’ll I’ll give you something to think about in a

Just love to see that especially how highly he’s rated If he if he turns out he’s absolutely terrible in Formula 2 then I will revise my my theory but based on what I know about anelli and what I think he’s going to be like I would love to see anelli okay oh same

Question who do you want to see what pleas if only because if only because apparently I’m I’m a bit of a masochist sadist I think foreverone else um well I’d just like to see I kind of want to see Fernando Alonzo I just want to see how that would play

Out all right I bet he’s already on the phone like I guarantee oh yeah he’s currently sat in Brackley in in the car park you let me in the door you s in his in his new company Mercedes um right Carl what about you mate um strong um no

Uh I gen laen strollers actually bought the team that’s actually what’s happened um I generally think I I genuinely think Alin I I want Albin I think it would be it’s it’s his time to shine if he does another season in Williams where’s he going to go he needs to go somewhere

Next season so he can’t sit in Williams I don’t think unless James R suddenly turns that team around and that car around which I can’t imagine and that 2026 car is something tasty but uh I yeah I I think it’s going to be a bit I think I think he makes sense okay

He’s driving for Mercedes at the moment you know in Mercedes engine car so it’s sort of the links are there yeah I tell you who I would uh I I tell you what I can see happening and something to think about Honda obviously going toon Martin in 2026 and the way Alonzo for

One slags H off I trying to find a better way of phrasing it but but you you know the the stuff uh that’s Al was saying about Honda when he’s OB driving from McLaren they’re not going to want or Honda aren’t going to want Alonzo in that car

Again and do you think do you think they’ll bring Yuki because obviously Honda backs Yuki into the alatar in 2021 that will then free up oh Jesus Yuki and stroll that’ be crash derby won’t it no no no I I think because um uh daddy stroll has been putting a lot

More money into the M hypercar project and I think I think after 2023 he’s realized that that Lance just isn’t cut out for F1 and I think there’s two seats in ason then yeah so I think he’ll put he put Lance in the hyper car CU I think L will

Do well in hyper cars because there’s the new Valkyrie or Valhalla project I can’t remember which one it’s called or the Vulcan one of them with v oh one probably knows um which one do you mean because there’s because there’s the valhall which is the rer and you’ve got

The valkyrie the one they’re doing what for um WC and IMA yeah yeah oh that’s the yeah that’s the valkyrie it’s so yeah they’re not GNA have to build row cars they’re going to go on a dedicated hyper car route for that because complete aside yeah yeah yeah yeah so I

Everyone the only way he’d sell that team at the moment though that someone offered him a billion pounds genuinely but it’s not worth a billion pounds it’s not it’s worth it’s worth about 250 well if for for the entry alone it’s worth a minimum of 200 million because that’s how much you have

To pay to sorry Braun brought Braun brought brought whatever that team was for quit yeah but that’s before that’s before there was an entry level um an entry cost to joining Formula 1 which in instantly put 200 million onto the value of every Formula 1 team even if they

Just have the entry that’s without any facilities any car any Talent so every Formula 1 team is worth a minimum of 200 million so and that’s likely to be hyped when we get the New Concord agreement so it’s they want 600 million for that Jean’s holding out till the till the

Next Concord and then he’ll sell and then he’ll sell the team I think for a huge profit yeah speaking of why have the FIA actually made a statement at all do you reckon that’s like sort of standard procedure or cover my ass it’s a bit I

Think they they give themselves a hard time in in 2023 because I think the car was better than they give themselves credit for um because if you take obviously the whole season red out the equation merker winning the championship you know winning the constructors at

Least and blah blah blah um you know so if they are on that upward trajectory you know H Hamilton himself said Mercedes have found that North Star or whatever he said just leaves um you know so it’s uh I just like to see Russell and Alonzo just have a falling out I

Think that would be hilarious um and I’d be I’d be so here for it uh Louie now Lou made a really really good point in chat he said science is a criminally underrated and Overlook driver feels like his time at Ren all over again hopefully he’ll land on his

Feet at a good team be it Red Bull or Merk I fully agree and I’ve been saying for a couple of years now that signs is the better race driver at Ferrari Thea’s better over one lap there there’s no question Thea’s better better over one lap but look at science’s win in

Singapore the exper you know the racecraft to do what he did you know when he said it’s on purpose keeping Lando in DRS yeah Lou you’ve made a great point I think he would make a great second driver in in Red Bull I think he makes an amazing partner for

Charlotte Clair and I think it’s ballsy for Ferrari to to change that given that I think they have for what Ferrari have for what they need I think that is the best driver lineup in Formula 1 ssir lir has that out andout Pace that X Factor that something science can race

Him to within the the tiniest margin but that just tiny X Factor you know the cla’s got it but as we’ve seen science will win him sence will win in a in a competitive car SS and lir will optimize over a season and be an amazing team I
