This running shoe got banned for being too good so in October 2019 Elliot kog from Kenya ran a marathon in less than 2 hours this was an unofficial record but the more important thing is that he wore the Nike alphafly and the reason it’s so important is because some people say

That he ran so fast because the shoes featured a set of carbon fiber plates and extra cushioning and in fact there was actually a study that showed that these shoes had a 3.4% increase in speed but in January of 2020 the world Athletics put out new rules stating that

Shoes can’t have more than one carbon fiber plate effectively Banning the shoe so now you know why

  1. That’s dumb I want to see how fast humans can go, and it isn’t like it’s a performance drug it’s a fucking shoe

  2. People don’t get it’s only banned for official competitions. We can still see people set out for breaking records, they just can’t do this. It’s unfair to runners who don’t have the shoe. And it would probably be a monopoly in racing if this shoe was the main factor if someone won or not
