Change of the Guard to coach kayn dor who talked about today at the Reese’s Senior Bowl practice down there in Mobile he understands there’s only one Nick Sab nobody will ever duplicate what coach sa and there will not be another run quite like that but kayn dbor also knows I came to

All in here on a Wednesday wrapping things up here on the show with this conversation here John goes to Alabama’s offensive line this is one of a few positional units I will have my eyes on in Spring practice because we haven’t seen a dominant offensive line since the

2020 season with Landon Dickerson but even prior to that the most dominant offensive line we’ve seen uh in Alabama history especially with where the Nick Sabin era was concerned was that 2011 and 2012 offensive line that had the likes of chance Warmack on there DJ Fluker on there Barrett Jones on there

Lot of nasty dudes on those offensive lines but here recently the last really good offensive line we saw was the 2020 group that had Alex Leatherwood Deontay corn BR Brown Landon Dickerson Evan Neil of that group that was the last really good know offensive line for Alabama

Football but you look at here coach dor brought in his guy from Washington his offensive line coach Scott huff and Coach Huff helped the Huskies win the Joe more award a season too for nation’s top offensive unit can dbor and Coach hu get this Alabama offensive line back to

Elite level performance because it’s going to have the running backs to block for you got Justice Haynes who can make a hole where there is none and then you got JM Miller who’s great on the edge he’s great in between the tackles he can catch ball out the back field he can

Bounce plays the outside guys a tremendous athlete if you got Richard young as well sprinkled in there so coach toor and Scott Hoff can these two generate an elite Level Playing off offensive line I think they can it’s going to be fun to watch this sort of

Unfold here in Spring ball because you look at it B’s got experience back on the offensive line yes it lost JC Le them to the NFL draft yes it lost Seth moff to the transfer portal and ultimately to Ohio State yes it lost Kaden proor to the transfer portal and

Ultim to Iowa but big Tong Booker is back as the leader up front big jayen Roberts back as a leader up front and then you got Elijah Pritchett back who does have some experience as well those are three guys that do have experience back here in your offensive

Line then after those three you got some guys who are going to kind of be the the next guys up when you talk about will con forby oine miles McVey these are all guys that came in that 2023 class with Kaden Proctor Rock Montgomery was another one of those guys but a lanine

McVey wilin formb these are the next guys up especially at that right tackle position if the transfer from A&M niquil betran we’ll get to him in the minute if he’s not quite ready at that right tackle spot or at that left tackle spot wherever they put him you got to look at

One of these three guys to take over you got to look at either mes McVey taking over right tackled or o or ol angine taking over right tackle or will conform be who of the group the most technically sound tackle Alabama got in the 2023 class one of these three guys it’s going

To be time for them to take it then the next guys up it’s going to be fun to watch all three of those and then you got the two transfers in here you talk Parker bford Parker braford from Washington he comes over very athletic center 62 28

Lbs played in 15 games last year 13 as a center only gave up one sack uh helped Michael pennick Jr be a 4,000 yard passer 493 yards helped Washington get to you know Pack 12 Championship winning that advanced to the college football playoff national championship game so you got

Bford here and then you got niquil betran who offensive tackle from Texas A&M he came in that top ranked 2022 class you got these two guys in here where do they fit now bford I think he’s going to be the starting center I think he is I think he will be the starting

Center I I don’t think he comes in from Washington and dor and huff weren’t already having a conversation about this guy being the starting center so I think he’s the starting center and I think betran will be in a competition with alanine and McVey and will conform be

Trying to be an offensive tackle so that’s going to be fun right there this offensive line it has a chance to be good to be nasty to be dominant to have a balance in both the run and pass game but for Coach Huff how is he going to go

About getting that done how is he going to go about navigating all of this that’s the big question and that’s what all of the excitement is going to be geared toward what is he going to do to have this offensive line looking right here starting off in Spring football but
