Uh if you played well out there today with ball in hand you felt like you know you could you could you could make some birdies but at the same time this golf course has got enough about it where yeah it’s playing long obviously you had to drive the ball in the Fairway you
Know that’s such a massive difference ball in hand perfect l time in the Fairway versus in the rough how soft it is and squelchy it is you know you can get some pretty tough lies so point is I think the Delta between good and bad golf today was pretty high um we didn’t
Get to talk to you yesterday so I was curious not actually I have a round in does it feel the same the tournament does it feel like it did in past years like last year you know it’s two rounds instead of three no celebrities really I mean yeah I mean I feel
Like so far it does feel the same I think there’s Good Vibes good energy um I think that you’re seeing obviously a lot of top players here which I think is is you know unique and rare and not has hasn’t always been the case so you obviously there’s a trade-off for sure
There’s a trade-off this week um like you say some of the celebs that do bring a huge amount of uh fun and U uniqueness to this event maybe that’s sort of not quite there but then you’re adding you know Big Time Golf to a to a sort of a
Stage and a setting that deserves it as well so yeah I think it’s going to be let’s figure out after the and how it feels and and what what’s best you know but um three rounds of peille is always a treat you know you play there as much as
You can I suppose so I think that’s a good thing the other thing we a chance talked about yesterday was just all the the great off course stuff um did you listen in on the call were you I actually didn’t know I didn’t even see the yeah
Know right I didn’t even see the email I didn’t even know there was a call happening so that shows how uh how how dialed in I was um you know I I’ve sort of been keeping my ear close to the ground with some of the guys and um anticipated this happening and coming
But it’s obviously nice and to when you finally hear the news and um I think just kind of curious to see exactly what it means for everybody yeah like you know one individually on the equity side curious um but two like what the strategy is for
The tour how much it you know um strengthens us how much yeah like really what it means in terms of driving us forward as an organization but I think um you know anytime you can engage people with ownership they do take more pride in the product and pride in their work um I’m
Hoping that that’s the case uh 170 guys deep that’s kind of a tricky um question and answer frankly you know taking ownership in the tour did you not feel ownership before it’s different different semantics there a little bit isn’t it yeah um this what I mean it’s supposed
To be your tour I think well that’s what it’s always been that was the sounding that those of the cliff notes always been told to us but I guess when push came to shove I don’t think it was until you know there were obviously a few guys started throwing their weight around a
Little bit and then uh you know take rest wrestling back the the power I suppose but um I guess the the real acid test is it remains to be seen if it’s good thing having the players in power you know that that’s going to be uh you know
Hopefully obviously a lot of guys have committed a lot of time here and um I think we’re in a great you know we have a lot of options I think at the moment and um that’s place maybe that we haven’t been but yeah listen I think there’s been some good elements in
The last couple of years and there’s been some elements that have obviously not been ideal so um hopefully that this moment in time now is uh is a sort of a a soft Landing to be able to build something cool going forward yeah did you were you ever offered uh to join Liv
Did you ever receive an offer I guess technically I might have done like two two plus two plus three years ago or something you know at least had a conversation around it yeah but uh for me it was always I could never get comfortable with the giving up on the childhood
Dreams of the Mages and I just couldn’t see that changing anytime soon and I was in a position in a situation where I was having to earn my way into them so I didn’t have those long-term exemptions and things like that to to buffer it I
Guess why I’m asking what what I’m still curious about is is in terms of repairing a fractured landscape um the idea of ever bringing everyone back together um is that complicated given the number of players yourself and many others included who chose not to go
Chose not to take um yeah I think it’s complicated there’ll never be a a one for one ratio where we one guy feels good about everyone coming back because they got something and they didn’t but I think ultimately if this is all structured the right way those guys
Coming back strengthens the tour and everybody that’s now involved in this new structure is going to benefit from those great names coming back and being a part of the tour so you have to look at it objectively as well so um anything that’s going to strengthen the tour in
The long term is going to benefit the players now so from that point you got to get your head around that head around that I suppose but I don’t think there’s necessarily an easy uh reintegration anytime soon but you know I I don’t see that as off the table all I got
