Twenty-five years ago, on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, a group of committed people established a junior golfing tour with just one purpose – to give kids a chance to follow their dreams and, perhaps, one day to join the golfing gods. One of them went on to win a British Open; others to tournament success in Australia and overseas. And all of them became better people – thanks to the efforts of the Invincibles Tour, its founder Graeme Miller, and a team of positive like-minded people who, like their young charges, dared to dream. This is their story.

Ginger Factory and your Munday markets the invincibles tour welcomes you to their world the Sunshine Coast of Queensland home of the invinci Junior golfing tour a junior golfing tour that caters for junior golf like no other thanks to our local golf clubs our supporters and sponsors the invincibles tour and their

Junior golfers have the freedom to enjoy competitive golf all year round in a safe and friendly environment this shows in the friendships that have developed over the years not only with our Juniors but also between parents and organizers alike hi my name is Gran Miller president and founder of the Invincible

Sunshine Coast Junior golfing tour back in 1997 my wife wife Mar and I moved to the Sunshine Coast to retire it turned out to be a retirement unlike any other one that took up a lot of his time to be sure but which delivered Untold satisfaction and fulfillment after settling in it didn’t

Take Miller a passionate Sports lover and golfing tragic longed to realize there was a void in junior golf at a club and District level it’s fair to say there was a lack of commitment from clubs and golf associations when it came to Junior Golf a void of organized events and a non-existent administrative

Structure where Miller felt he had the ability to do something to improve the situation he strongly believed there was a need for Change and his wife Maran suggested he had the skills and experience to make a difference she suggested he said about giving the kids an opportunity to follow their dreams

And reach their full potential in a safe fair and friendly environment and at the same time he would give him an opportunity to settle into his new surrounds this there’s an old saying that suggests every Journey starts with a first step and there couldn’t have been a more fitting statement

Particularly when you consider the journey Miller the invincibles tour and its trusted committee members have taken over the past 20 years it gives the invincibles committee and me a great deal of pleasure to invite you to sit back and enjoy The Incredible Journey the Invincible have taken since their humble beginnings back in 1999 the seed for the invincibles tour was planted at Headland Golf Club back in 1999 when Miller was approached by the headin committee to be the club’s Junior coordinator he agreed as long as they were committed and he had their total support Squad members would gather for clinics every Tuesday and Thursday

Afternoon from 400 p.m. on the practice Fairway where more often than the not the sessions were just as much about the social interactions between the kids their families and the fun element as it was about the golf our barbecues that came in all shapes and sizes were a big

Part of our practice sessions social days and at our Junior Classics were where we were able to build a fantastic family atmosphere and learning environment he said Jack Freeman and Jerry Brown Mountain Creek meats and bakery were extremely generous supporters who were kind enough to supply everything for the barbecues that

Was such a treat for the players and parents coming off the course to be gritted by the aroma of a sausage sizzle no matter how good or bad your day had been these barbecues were just the tonic to bring everyone together and put a smile on everyone’s

Face after warming up on the practice Fairway the kids and their parents headed out onto the course where they would Play Holes 2 3 4 5 n and down one in winter in summer they’d play the front nine one of of many highlights during these sessions was witnessing a

Young lad Matt Gil who had never part a hole in his life record a brilliant run over five holes that included a par bogey birdie p and to everyone’s surprise an eagle on the 6th from 152 M out Matt went on to win the 2008 SC and sbdg association’s open and close

Championship with a four under par at Hedland golf club that had the likes of Cameron Smith and expr David grenfell in the extremely talented field fast forward 9 years and it came as no surprise to those who knew him that Matt recorded consecutive rounds of 10 and N under during a maruchi river

Proam at these practice sessions Miller and his team would place a little yellow PGI at the back of the first green filled with ice and a single can of Coke which was the prize for the nearest to the pin second can shot in on the day this created enormous interest with

Large numbers gathering at the back of the green as the players came in to applaud and cheer every approach shot and to congratulate the lucky winner this simple exercise helped develop an incredible team spirit the com artery and the element of fun that came from this and the clinics was infectious

Miller reflex these sessions were the perfect breeding ground for what was to become the invincibles culture where appropriate social and people skills along with a knowledge of the rules and an understanding of course etiquette respect honesty integrity and sportsmanship were just as important as having a Flawless swing and good putting Stroke the I can’t logo embroidered across the back of the invincibles team shirts was significant because it truly epitomized what the invincibles was all about but to to reap their rewards from turning I can’ts into I can Miller and his team had to encourage the Juniors to

Focus on what’s important and be willing to do the work required if they were prepared to do that then anything was possible as many invincibles members have gone on to demonstrate the tour didn’t consider this rocket science it just came down to the harder you worked the luckier you got

The name the invincibles came from a competition where only the kids were allowed to vote on what they would like it to be called The Winner was Jacob Hall who received a fantastic Golf package for nominating a name that would come to stand for all that is good in

Junior golf there was no doubt that an environment was set in place for a positive and sustainable future for junior golf at the Headland golf club and Beyond but after just 18 months in the position during which time he took headland’s junior golf program from five

Kids to 130 with 20 more on the waiting list Miller’s position became untenable due to some individuals at the club who did not share his vision or passion for junior golf at Hedland or for that matter the Sunshine Coast and Southeast Queensland it was a bit of sweet time

For Miller who could see nothing but a positive future for the Headland Junior development program which he felt could have become The Benchmark for other clubs and which gave him some of the most enjoyable times he had had working with Junior golfers on the Sunshine Coast Miller believes as history would confirm that leaving Headland was a blessing in so many ways it enabled him to assemble a group of positive like-minded people who wanted to keep their children involved in golf a group that believed in the Mantra of the invincibles who dared to dream focused

On what was important and worked within the areas they could Control we were no longer obliged to anyone Club Miller reflex we could spread our wings and focus on the bigger picture it gave us the ability and opportunity to move around our local clubs with total freedom with the aim of helping and supporting them equally to function smoothly and independently the

Committee came to appreciate that it was important that the invincibles tour should not be associated with any single organization or Association this allowed all clubs to join and take ownership of the tour and this found favor with sponsors supporters and parents alike the first step was taken and the Invincible

Journey was up and running and the tour was beginning to take on a life of its Own given we no longer had a home base the invincibles approached Mountain Creek High School and arranged to H clinics on school grounds every Tuesday and Thursday from 400 p.m. this turned out to be fruitful because at that hour students were just knocking off school

And had to pass by where more often than not they leaned against the fence watching the clinics unfold and that created a lot of interest and led to new memberships Peter heiniger then coach at H Regency kulum and his assistant PGA professional Greg kusac would come on a

Regular basis to take special clinics out at sippy downs we had a fantastic driving range and the use of a brilliant pitch and Putt course where our youngsters would spend hours working on their short games having fun and extending the family atmosphere and structure that had been set in place a

Fond memory of our time at this fantastic pitch and pod course was when one of our members a young 8-year-old Kurt Whitt had a hole in one which in itself was fantastic but what made the feed that much more EX exciting was that it carried a check for $11,000 for

Anyone that haed out on that day that seems quite innocent and straightforward but what followed was amazing Kurt’s magnificent achievement sent the world media into a frenzy given that any amateur that accepted a monetary prize over $850 at the time would lose their amateur status how dare anyone do this

To an 8-year-old was the outcry from the public and media which once again created enormous interest in the tour however it all turned out for the better given and CT received a check for $750 for his achievement and thanks to McDonald’s he and 31 of his friends were

Invited to a party in their store along with Drummond generously setting him up with a full set of golf gear that solved the problem and for the record the check was never cashed it was framed with a photo of Kurt and presented to him at his Party the Sunshine Coast was the perfect environment to set up the invincibles tour it certainly offered the perfect environment for our Juniors and their families to grow and Prosper it was in December of 2003 when the invincibles decided to go on tour visiting and supporting Junior Classics or opens organized by Sunshine Coast clubs these events gave in principles Juniors the opportunity to hone their skills on different courses spend time with like-minded youngsters and take

Part in What would become a junior tour of their own the invincibles tour concept was based on the PGA tropo tour a tour that was contested throughout Queensland by PJ professionals who traveled from Club to club and area to area accumulating prize money experience and invaluable ranking points in the

Hope of one day earning a spot on the main PJ tour with the support of golf club from as far away as the go Coast Brisbane kingaroy and up to bagara and all clubs in between and yes you guessed it Headland the invincibles tour had established a foundation for a fantastic

Tour for everyone to Enjoy whether you had a golf Australia handicap or not everyone was welcome to join in the 5 n or 18 hole competitions and made to feel at home all that was required was a positive attitude a respect for others in their property and a willingness to mix in and follow the

Rules and etiquette of Golf the five and N hole divisions was the first step taken on the invincibles tour and these Juniors would go on to contest their own Sunshine Coast and South bernet District Golf Association five and N hole championships for girls and boys before before they achieved their GA handicap that allowed them to

Participate in golf australa run and endorsed events the invincibles committee knew they had a lot of work ahead to gain the trust and respect of not only the clubs but also golf Queensland and golf Australia PGA Australia the LPGA the Greg Norman junior golf Foundation plus the zone and

District golf associations both men and women and that’s not to mention the Juniors and their families sponsors and supporters the tour had to prove it was an organization that ch generally wanted the best for the kids with their members and the club’s best interest at heart if Miller’s involvement in sport had taught

Him anything it was that to succeed in any Endeavor you must surround yourself with positive like-minded people who were committed to a common goal and that’s exactly what the Invincible set in place and strive to achieve we also had a focus on striving for excellence knowing it was nearon impossible to

Achieve but by doing so made sure we were all doing the little things well in the hope of acquiring the best possible outcome for everyone Involved focusing on the positives Miller gathered a group of parents and Volunteers in Lloyd Crawley Frank Schmidt Mandy Johnson Greg leverty Ian Eddie Darren Gil Maran Brian pickles Kenny Anderson and marshan Miller who joined forces to form the Invincible Sunshine Coast Junior golfing tour affectionately known as the Tour by its

Members I’m sure none of us believed in our Wilder streams what the future had in store for us or the kids ner Said he credits the parents for the early and ongoing success of the tour moms dads and family members who threw their weight behind the invincibles driving the children to events offering their time in any way that was needed Manning barbecues scoring spotting acting as Marshals and caddies all a

Part of creating a fantastic atmosphere and fun Environment participating on the invincibles tour wasn’t just about striving to be the best golfer in the world or about the awards you could win there was much more to the tour than that it was about making friends enjoying each other’s company having fun whilst traveling to different clubs

Throughout Australia or for that matter the world it was about stopping and smelling the Roses living in the moment and coping with whatever conditions Mother Nature threw our way it was about enjoying the surrounds of well-manicured golf courses whilst taking the time to appreciate just how fortunate we were

This is something the invincibles never tired of getting out amongst nature particularly during the co era and that’s something that wasn’t to be taken for granted mother nature in all her glory was spectacular if you took the time to take it in Miller was in awe of

The abundance of wildlife at our golf courses that included koalas kangaroos lizards and goas a diverse array of bird life and for those who spent the time head down bum up trying to retrieve the erant balls from the scrub yes snakes and there were plenty of them there was

Also a spectacular display of Flora wherever you looked and that added to the experience of being out amongst nature The invincibles believe that success shouldn’t be defined by how many awards you won or the recognition you received it was more about the journey you took because when you’re sitting back in quiet times away from the spotlight you would come to appreciate that it was the friends you made and the experiences you

Encountered along the way that meant the most and would bring back the Fondest Memories well after the accolades had settled The invinci committee believed that their main role was in building strong healthy confident young men and women with healthy well-balanced self-esteem that would help them in their journey through life and they believe that history would tell us that they achieved this Outcome on September 20 2006 Ray Clark and Charlie herb Greg Norman junior golf Foundation asked the invincibles tour to join them and invited Miller to sit down on a committee that included the PGA and golf Queensland an honor and an endorsement of what the tour was achieving within junior golf we were

Over the moon with what was a fantastic network of like-minded people around us ready to offer their support Miller said that included a fantastic team of sponsors and supporters who helped us achieve remarkable outcomes with without their support the tour wouldn’t have gained the reputation or credibility it Did as most would appreciate it is almost impossible to recognize or mention everyone who has participated or done something special on the invincibles tour over so many years but it is important that we still have best to at least cover the major highlights over the years the tour has gone from

Strength to strength thanks to a large team of extremely supportive men and women but one man that stood out given his willingness to make sure the invincibles were successful and achieved its Vision was Terry Ward from the Sunshine Coast and South Berner District Golf Association who saw nothing but

Positive outcomes for the invincibles tour her and did everything in his power to make sure it thrived he truly was a strong lovable character who strongly believed in the Invincible Vision with this sort of backing and that from local businesses the community the media particularly Channel 7 and the Sunshine

Coast daily we felt we couldn’t help but succeed this along with the overwhelming support we received from our local golf clubs gave us the confidence to know we were on the right track and heading in the right Direction the invincibles committee appreciated the support and feedback from all supporting golf clubs but the main turning point was gaining support from five of the Sunshine Coast highly regarded and respected Resort courses in the Hyatt Regency kulum newa Springs Golf and spa resort parigian Springs Twin Waters and Pelican Waters golf

Courses it’s been fantastic watching the Invincible evolve over the 20 years using all the courses on the Sunshine Coast and developing the kids from ground up six holers nine holers and through to 18 and just making these young men and women ready for the big world their managers and their fantastic

Staff members who were enormously generous with their time feedback and support without their backing there was every chance the invincibles tour would not have got off the ground we’ve tried to support the invincibles wherever we possibly could by providing them Golf and support whenever we can the

Invincibles tour is not only a great concept but it’s a a great development and a great pathway for juniors to make their way in the world of gold Plus in the world of life so I love the way they behave I love the way they act on the

Golf course and I love the way they they treat their fellow golfers on December 6th 2004 Pelican Waters Golf Club hosted the first ever invincibles presentation dinner under the invincibles banner where we were honored with the company of special guests MV and T Norman the invincibles annual presentation dinners provided the

Perfect opportunity to acknowledge and showcase the performances and achievements of our Juniors throughout the year Miller said it also gave us the opportunity to acknowledge the input from our sponsors and golf clubs and to present our major Awards and such Awards as the Drummond representative the woles cob family quiet achiever the Brett

Martell inter club team shield and the club that did the most to support develop and promote junior golf along with the coastline BMW encouragement and the best hosted junior classic or open awards no matter where our Juniors or former members were in the world contesting events the dinner gave us the

Opportunity to contact them and incorporate them in the celebrations via the huge screens technology and social media often to the absolute surprise of the parents sitting in the room enjoying the celebrations blissfully unaware of what was about to unfold it often brought a tear to the eye but most

Importantly ad Dina gave everyone an excuse to dress up not only to celebrate the kids achievements but to have a load of fun in the process which was always the highlight of the Year for me Miller reflected In 20067 management at L Le along with the H Regency kum’s general manager Maurice Holland invited Miller to set up an invincibles Academy of Excellence at the highight kulum using it as their home base in return they would help sponsor and promote the tour particularly leading into the Australian

PGA Championship this kind gesture support and feedback open so many doors it gave us access to the Sunshine Coast University sports clinic and the H facilities but most importantly it endorsed everything we were striving to achieve and gave us credibility beyond our wildest imagination their endorsement allowed us to continue the

Invincible Journey with Confidence it was at this point that Miller approached the Queensland government to see if it was possible for the invincibles tour to be recognized as an incorporated body which was successful and we were delighted when Lisa donin set up their tour known as the Invincible Sunshine Coast Junior

Golfing tour incorporation in 2005 which was a proud moment for everyone associated with the Tour Lisa’s input also involves setting up and maintaining our constitution strategic and sustainability plans and child care policy that helps set in place a solid foundation from which to build he said her input and Direction gave us enormous peace of mind and confidence moving forward knowing that we had everything set in place

Appropriately Miller then contacted the Queensland government Sport and Recreation at the Sunshine Coast Council who were immediately supportive pointing him and his team in the right direction opening doors and creating opportunities that would have been out of reach their feedback and support brought everything together which is something that we were

Enormously grateful for they presented the invinci to her with generous grants over the years that enabled us to focus on the future which was a huge Bonus Peter heiner du recipient of the Queensland Coach of the Year award and one of Australia’s most respected golf teachers joined the invincibles as a mentor and adviser and to provide guidance from a PGA perspective which was fantastic I’ve been fortunate be to be involved with the mpal tour since

Practically day one um I was more or less the the PGA sort of Representative uh for the invincibles tour so we we managed to um arrange and organize U the invincibles rookie and also tour Squad that I coached at height ringy cool and it’s been a magnificent Journey we’ve

Developed a lot of great golfers and as well as a lot of great people too there’s been a lot of great kids come through here and the tour was slowly developed to where it is now it’s such a strong part of junior golf here on the Southeast Queensland and I’m pretty sure

That Legacy will continue to develop even further in many years to come but what the tour didn’t realize was that Peter was a man of many talents which were regularly on display at major golf functions where he did a fantastic job running the auctions but he was most

Famous for the way he took great Delight in roasting unsuspecting members and their families during presentation dinners where more often than not he had the audience in stitchers and the recipients of the roasting very nervous and unsure of what was coming next it certainly created a fantastic atmosphere heading into the Presentations Greg LTI one of the Sunshine Coast council’s most senior Executives offered to be the tour’s auditor along with our Treasurer Frank Schmidt delivering credibility peace of mind and security it had become obvious that the reason for the Invincible success was the groundwell of generous and supportive people and their Organizations but without a doubt one of the main reasons was the backing support and Trust the tour received from its first major sponsor Peter and Jackie zip IGA who in December 2004 sponsored the tour’s first camera and we all know what that led to they also helped finance the

Setting up of the invincibles website back in 2005 that became the Hub of everything that unfolded on the tour and gave everyone a lot of joy and satisfaction particularly with the photos Graham’s brother used to work for us in KY IG that’s how we come to meet Graham originally um Bob brought

Graham up he said he had this invincible uh junior golf that was he wanted to have some sponsorship so we met him in the office 18 years ago and he wanted a digital camera for his to take photos of the Juniors and so we gave him a digital

Camera and and the year after that I thought well that’s not a that’s sponsorship it’s not great sponsorship so I got him along to one of the IG board meetings and we decided to run a charity day for them so from 18 years ago we’ve been running a charity day

Once a year and there hasn’t been a bad day since we make it fun number one so that the sponsors can come along and actually enjoy themselves which put on a good day but they all see the benefit of getting Juniors into golf and their career paths can be put forward by these

Days um the money goes towards them it helps them to travel overseas helps them along the way all the time so I think everybody actually sees that so I think that’s one of the main reasons that this has gone so well for so long golf’s F

Passion of mine as well so I really enjoy golf so it’s not a hard thing for us to do but looking at what Gran was doing back then it was about taking the kids off the streets and getting them into to doing something teaching them etiquette teaching them manners and I

Thought this is a good good good idea so we got behind it and um put our heart and soul into it and it’s just uh a good sponsorship because you can actually see some results coming from it so where the kids have gone to just get players in worldwide competitions now as everyone

Knows and uh it’s just a just a great thing to be involved in Cassie Porter she was very good for us she was an ambassador to ig for us she was an outstanding player she comes along and plays with the sponsors my wife wife I would we come to the presentations

Nights we just like love seeing the little 8 n 10 year olds that get up and they’ve ped something or other and they’ve lowered their handicap and they all got to get up and make a speech and thank Graham and thank Frank and it is

Just such a a nice thing to see happen to um younger Generation from Small Things big things grow and from that first meeting some great friendships developed with Peter Jackie and Anthony zip Romeo bordon and Irene L who together with Miller and his team organized an annual fundraiser for the invincibles tour it became known as the invincibles IG corporate golf day

Hosted by the very generous NSA Springs Golf and spa resort perian Springs H region zulum twin Waters and Pelican Waters golf clubs on a rotational basis it continued from 2005 to 2023 without missing a beat the there was a period between 2007 and 2013 where Peter zip

And his team had to step to one side given other business commitments but thanks to Mel and jel Luke who generously stepped in to continue ‘s sponsorship and support in what was a much valued relationship with IG and the invincibles T her which helped us focus on the future including our golf days

These golf days not only raised much needed funds that allowed the invincibles to a a function but they create a lot of fun friendships and fond memories that will last a lifetime it was in 2013 that Peter z a king golfer a massive supporter of the invincibles tour realigned with the invincibles and

Brought a whole new energy to the tour that relationship continued from 2014 through to our final golf day of reunion on Friday August 11th 2023 I’ve been involved now with the invincibles and grah and the whole team for the last 13 years uh when I on board

Starting to work for the zip family uh it’s been a great journey I’ve got to be honest my involvement mainly has been trying to organize to get all the supplies on board to try and help sponsorship off the day meash been on that Journey with us as well obviously

Helping us out it’s actually been a pleasure working with all the guys you know with grah through the professionalism what he does to instill into the young kids Grassroots is where it’s coming from and some of the people that you’re seeing come through the ranks you know likey Cameron Smith years

Ago I done an interview of Cassy Porter we took that to the National Expo we got very good recognition out of that the other thing I’d like to say about the Young Junior players and the Invincible players is I know a couple of times now I’ve been walking through Sunshine Plaza

Down at ridor the kids will see they’ll actually come over and say thank you very much for looking after it now to me that doesn’t happen in any other sport for this one and I got to say it’s been absolute pleasure helping the guys for this journey 18 years ago we we started

Um Peete arranged with grah and he came out to me I was working in the accounts section then came out to me and said do you think you could help us coordinate a a golf day and being a keing golfer I said yeah I can give it a go I’ve had

Wonderful response from all of the sponsors um over the years we’ve the fellowship that’s been developed the encouragement that they give to the kids when they come and play some of them are embarrassed by the shots they hit and I say well we all do that then we look at

The kids and go wow never did that at their age and I think it’s a credit to grahme and to Peter and to everyone with the foresight of looking after our younger generation and getting them involved in the proper way in sport uh they come out lovely human beings out of

It they’re well educated they know the etiquette of gol they know the etiquette of life and how to treat people and how they expect to be treated so I wish it was around for my kids when they were growing up it wasn’t but it’s been wonderful to be involved

These days were a real team effort but wouldn’t have been the brilliant fun days they were without the organization in input from both Irene L Romeo bordon and the host clubs who really made these days something special for everyone to let their hair down and enjoy a fantastic day

Out these golf days not only raised much needed funds that allowed the Invincible tour to function but they created a lot of fun friendships and fun memories that will last a lifetime particularly for David Burke and his team from Melbourne who only missed 2 years and that was due

To co which was a remarkable effort an endorsement of the fund that was Had other extremely generous sponsors and staunch supporters of the invincibles were Jim Hughes 2003 to 2004 followed by Roy and Kim McLean drum and golf maridor who were enormously generous and supportive of the tour from 2005 until 2021 Ryan and Lisa Jane farry then purchased Drummond’s maridor franchise

And continued to offer their generous support of the invincibles that included sponsoring their monthly Drummond encouragement award for both 9 and 18 whole competitors along with their representative awards that many of our members benefited from over many Years Michael gnes Callaway australa generous support of the tour helped the invincibles achieve some incredible outcomes within junior golf and it goes without saying that their trust and support took a lot of pressure off the tour and at the same time gave our members enormous opportunities and Encouragement the tour was fortunate to gain the support of Robert CTS then principal of Co Co Line BMW after a fluke meeting back in 2004 that meeting led to the coastline BMW encouragement award being drafted which is still one of the Invincible major Awards some 20 years on Robert maintained Coastline BMW

Support from 2005 to 2019 until Brad butcher took over and became principal from 2019 he was thrilled with the prospect of continuing their support and relationship with the Invincible tour these organizations along with those seen on the tour’s sponsors page are the very reason the invincibles grew into the vibrant well-coordinated

Organization it did which is a credit to everyone Involved that included John Stewart North Coast Trophies and his great team who prepared all the Invincible spectacular trophies and awards since day one of the invincibles Tour a long-term friend and supporter Neil Cho the man responsible for setting up the Invincible website and app on a voluntary basis and mentored Miller on maintaining them drawing everything together including news articles stats and photographs which proved enormously popular and gave the tour a [Applause] heartbeat the tour’s website is a

Treasure troph of information covering 20 years of outstanding performances and achievements from some of our extremely talented Juniors that included Sophie Thompson Riley Martin Hedland and Casey Porter bridon Springs who won their respective divisions of the varitas well championships in 2015 Jack Trent Headland achieved the remarkable feat of

Recording holes in one on holes 84 and 18 at his home club before turning 13 and recording The Unbelievable feat of acing the fifth while taking a clinic for juniors on a rare trip home from his college commitments in the US that meant he’d aced every one of headland’s path

Three holes Jack now resides in America where he has completed his studies and has just won his way onto the PGA tour Canada Lan color Mount kulum recorded Three Aces at the 13th and 16th at Mount kulum and on the 6th at yarar Championship layout in Melbourne which

Is only two of the 50 Juniors that have recorded H in- ones on the invincibles to her the website also reports official course records set by Invincible members including Jed Morgan Royal Queensland who in 2017 set the Mark at the Queensland golf Junior Amateur championships at the pagara golf club

With an excellent 63 nine under Jed went on to become the youngest ever winner of the Australian PGA Championship winning by 11 shots in 22 with rounds of 65 63 65 69 equaling the record of 22 under set by hail wiwin and Greg Norman Jamie Dugan Bo desert rolled off five straight

Birdies over the last five holes at NSA Springs Golf and spa resort during the final round of the invincibles Masters Championship in 2011 to record a magnificent 65 seven under par to take the course record that had been held by Katherine Kirk one of Australia’s leading and most respected LPGA professional

Other official course records came from Rihanna Marie Lewis with her 67 at ambor in 2016 Casey Porter 67 at Pelican Waters in 2017 and from Leon higo and Charlotte Singh who both recorded 67s at Twin Waters to jointly own the official course record in 2021 and 2022 during the Ian Baker Finch junior Classic there were many things that gave the community of the invincibles a great deal of joy and satisfaction and more often than not they weren’t things that set records or finished on honor boards rather they were as simple as witnessing the kids jump in and help their fellow

Teammates after they had been eliminated from events to witness them supporting each other by caddying or just giving moral support was magical and this was on display regularly at tour Events outside the club’s own Junior Classics and opens the invincibles created four Standalone events that were run and overseen by the invincibles committee they were the Gold Cup of Cups IG Sunshine Coast Junior Masters and their match play championships which were Invitation Only events contested by golfers who qualified by winning a

Nominated junior classic or open during the year and the Brett Martell interclub team Shield which was a season long team event one of the highlights of the tour and a benefit of having its home base at the height at the time was that the invincibles Gold Cup of Cups

Championship was decided on the Sunday prior to the Australian PGA Championship hosted by the magnificently presented Hyatt Regency kulum where else other than the Sunshine Coast would anyone extend privileges like the invincibles received and one must extend thanks and appreciation to Tony Rosenberg Neil and Roseanne Godard and their team at tpr

Sports along with PGA Australia for bringing this to fruition it truly was a magnificent experience for everyone involved and something we will all remember for a Lifetime to qualify for the Gold Cup one had to win the net division at a nominated junior classic or open and have a golf Australia handicap of 27 or less players could also qualify by winning three gross events throughout the same Year the inaugural winner in 2003 was kimbery Crawley Headland one of our foundation members won our first ever course cup and went on to win the inaugural Gold Cup of Cups Championship just prior to the invincibles junior program winding up at Hedland followed by Jillian Johnson Nambour who went on

To record back-to-back wins in 2004 and 2005 before the boys got a look In the first event under the invincibles Incorporated Banner was at bewa in January 2004 where Caitlyn mus kandra won the inaugural course cup which gave her entry into the Gold Cup of Cups Championship hosted that year by Pelican Waters which Jillian Johnson won Charla Singh playing off a plus4

Handicap at the time won the 2021 Gold Cup of cups with an unbelievable 6 under par 66 for a net 70 which was an outstanding achievement that put to rest the theory that scratch markers couldn’t win the Gold Cup the 2022 Gold Cup Championship went to one of the Invincible youngest

Members 12-year-old Chase Randle tin C Bay who won with the 78 70 net just pipping another brilliant 12-year-old Coco Moore Nua Springs who finished on 71 Net the Gold Cup of Cups Championship was run on the same day as the Invincible annual Junior presentation dinner which was a fantastic concept instigated by Committee Member Brett Park [Applause] to winess Junior golfers contesting at the Gold Cup and then presenting at the dinner was awesome and became one of the

Highlights and traditions of the invincibles tour the transition was just remarkable to see them change from their golfing gear and become magnificently presented young men and women ready to take on the world was extraordinary that was one of the reasons these events were created to take our Juniors to the next

Level to give them the experiences challenges and opportunities that a touring professional would experience whilst on Tour the tour’s junior Master’s Championship was conceived in 2005 after meeting with Ron jadak then manager of the prian Springs Golf Club who supported and helped Miller set things in place and helped host the Masters concept [Applause] the first Masters championship in 2005 was contested by boys only given there

Weren’t enough girls and Was Won by Nathan friling kandra whose jacket and trophy were presented by Greg Norman’s parents 20 and MV which was a huge Honor the following year saw many girls from all over Southeast Queensland participate allowing organizers to create a girls division It Was Won by Hai Kang surf as paradise and Simon warl Mount kulum who also had the honor of having their Awards presented to them by Tor and MV Norman girls participation was extremely

Important to the invincibles tour given that the committee had always supported boys and girls working together and sharing in the golfing experience it was important that boys and girls competing on the invincibles tour were treated with the utmost respect dignity and equality to qualify for the IG Sunshine Coast Junior Masters Championship

Players had to win the gross division of a junior classical open on the invincibles tour and have a handicap of 10 or less for boys and 15 or less for girls the winners of the Masters Championship boy or girl would receive an invitation exemption into the following year’s championship age

Permitting the invincibles Masters Championship was the jewel in the crown when it came to the invincibles EV an and was hosted by the five Resort courses pan Springs Twin Waters Pelican Waters Nua Springs and up to 2012 the Hyatt Regency Kum there were many highlights when it came to our masters Championship but there was one year that stood out above most that was 2009 where 14 of golf Queens land Squad members had qualified to take their place in the field that included the likes of Cameron Smith and

Taylor McDonald where Taylor ended up winning by two shots with an even par round from Cameron who recorded a two underpar 70 in what were brutal windy conditions at Pelican Waters Golf Club the invincibles Masters Championship hosted other incredibly talented golfers over the years both boys and girls that included jeel champions in chis Davidson 2012 13 Lan Colborne 2014 and 16 Cassie Porter 2016 and 17 and George giblet 2017 and 18 and Harry tacis who won in 2020 and

22 and many others who have won the Masters like justice bossio Ben Dunham Charlotte Singh Steven Cox Zoe Maxwell and Kate mcfallen just to name a few who have all gone on to record great reputations both as amateurs and professionals on the world stage This Magnificent champion ship based on the

Same concept as the US Masters exposed our Juniors to many unique challenges that included playing four different courses over 72 holes contested under strict PGA Championship conditions which was quite unique and a true test of golf thanks to golf Australia’s recommendation the invincibles Masters Championship was recognized and

Acknowledged as a world amateur ranked event by the RNA which was a huge honor that really endorsed and recognized the profession professional attitude and expertise the invincibles had when it came to organizing and running major events the invincibles tour is proud of the fact that 90% of the young golfers

To have won a junior Master’s title have gone on to become traine or touring Professionals Master’s Championship winners were presented with their jackets and framed photos of their achievement and their name was engraved onto a magnificent Perpetual Crystal tro the boy and girl winners received a $1,000 scholarship this was to be used for travel and accommodation to a major golfing event of their choosing with the

Aim of giving them experience at either a national or International Level the event included a net division that gave the squad a chance to be recognized as the Master’s net Champions the tea times was sponsored by the host clubs which is a true indication of of just how important our Master’s Championship was perceived for junior golf on the Sunshine Coast and Beyond the third major on the invincibles tour was the match play championships first contested in 2008 when invitations were extended to tour members with the lowest eight handicaps in divisions 1 2 and three for boys and Division 1 for girls up until 2021 when a division 2 was set in place for girls

Given the demand the match play competition was a huge success and widely accepted by everyone which was no surprise really given that most Juniors and for that matter adults loved the match play format and thrived on the challenges it Created our match play Championship along with the zone and District penet season gave our Juniors the their families and the clubs the perfect opportunity to contest match play competitions either at individual or representative level it also had the ability to bring everyone together one of the many major highlights during our match play

Championships was the match between Kate McFarlan thunderberg and Yuki Takata Southport in the girls Final in division 1 at Twin Waters in 2021 all matches were played in great spirit but the key match up between Kate and Yuki who pushed each other to the Limit after

Yuki went one up on 17 after a brilliant t-shot and birdie part not to be atone Kate played a magnificent approach to what was an enormously difficult pin placement on 18 to set up a birdie and force their match into extra time a five-hole playoff that Kate won with a

Brilliant 10 m birdie in a match that was played in great spirit and at the highest level in 2019 we witnessed the true Spirit of the invincibles toour on display when Cassie Porter pran who had to Forfeit her position in our match play championships with Zoe Maxwell Virginia

Due to the fact that golf Australia had selected her to represent them in the Toyota World Junior Cup where she was named eal champion after scoring 11 under par for the championship Cassie was so disappointed that she had to Forfeit her match with Zoe that the

First thing she did when she was picked up from the airport by her parents was to head straight to Pelican Waters to walk the fairways in support of her invincibles teammates and present the awards at presentation which was a thrill and great honor for everyone involved she must have been exhausted

But to witness Cassie taking the time to think of others after the week she’d had was a brilliant sign of a true champion and epitomizes what the Invincible tour Represents Brett Martell team Shield the tour’s fourth major was the Brett Martell inter club team Shield that ran from January to November this Championship was named after Brett Martell who was a stor supporter of the invincibles as with his family Kath Sophie and will Brett was a man who

Touched the hearts of the people and left a positive impact on those he met during his journey through life he has been sadly missed by the invincibles where he was a Committee Member and is sorely missed by his friends and the golfing community at large the former

For the Martell Shield was that all clubs nominated a team of four with the three best net scores being added together and the worst score dropped earning 42 and one point for the first three places this determines the interclub team Shield ladder with the club with the most points at Year’s End

Being declared the Champions a fantastic highlight during the history of Brett’s inter Club Shield came during the playoff at Headland in 2015 after the finals had to be abandoned at tin cam Bay due to flooding it was decided that Representatives Lan Colborne from Mount kulum and Christian Butterworth pgan

Springs be chosen to represent their clubs at Hedland for an 18h holder cider that showcased a magnificent display of skill sportsmanship and comaraderie between not only the players but the large gallery and officials that followed it turned out to be an absolute Thriller that EB and flowed from start

To finish with both boys finishing up even par rounds of 72 and given Colborne was playing off plus 4 and Butterworth off two me that Butterworth took out the 2015 interclub team shield for pan Springs in front of the large gallery that stood in a of the boys performances

And the spirit in which the championship was Plied during our championships the conditions of play and dress code were strictly enforced under the same guidelines as PGA championships because the invincibles committee wanted their members to experience the same conditions as professional golfers and they made no apology iies for their stance that is the very reason that the

Invincibles tour was set up in the first place to support the Sunshine Coast Golf Clubs in any way that we could to create a safe Fair friendly and positive environment for our Juniors to pursue their golfing Dreams our invincibles championships along with the club’s Junior Classics and opens gave the tour the perfect environments to encourage the appropriate people and social skills required to speak in public and at presentations with the aim of preparing them for what lay ahead if they were going to make it onto the big

Stage these sessions created a lot of fun and banter that Drew everyone closer together which all added to the Invincible Experience a big part of the credit goes to our host clubs their incredibly dedicated ground staff Pro Shops and Cat ERS who work diligently to make sure their courses and Facilities were set up magnificently to host our championships in a way that mirrored the Invincible philosophy the organization that went

Into these championships was world class and certainly hit the mark when it came to giving our Juniors the feel and experiences of a world-class touring professional the clubs owned the tour and had a vested interest in whether it was successful or not and we are pleased

To say that it was and the clubs more than benefited from their input From 2005 to 2012 the H Regency kulum along with the Australian PGA hosted the invincibles annual Gala presentation dinner in the Kirkwood club Behind the 18th green during the Australian PGA Championship this gave us all an enormous thrill it was the highlight of the invincibles Year particularly in 2011 when manager Maurice Holland

Suggested they could do a better job in the Pavilion after the torrential storms that absolutely flooded the Hyatt resort a year Earlier it turned out to be a magnificent red carpet Cinderella experience that allowed us to showcase the performances and achievements of our juniors in the same week at the same venue as the Australian PGA Championship where some lucky invincibles members received invitations into the Australian PGA proam which was extremely exciting

For them the high layout was in perfect condition presented and set up for the PGA professionals the following Day thanks to Michael Williamson staging connection his team and the staff at the Hyatt who did a magnificent job setting up the venue doing the table settings along with Maran Miller organizing the sound system and putting two massive screens up behind the stage to showcase the Invincible famous slideshow and sponsor Page also a boy and girl invincibles member accompanied by a parent were invited as guests of land Lee and the high Regency Kum to the dinner with the Stars which was normally held around the resort pool on the Tuesday prior to the Australian PGA Championship in 2012 due

To inclimate weather the dinner with the Stars was relocated to the Kirkwood Club at the back of the 18th green where PGA Australia the high Regency Kum and Len lease extended invitations to five V juniors in Cody Cosi Ana Park Samantha Foley will white and sha wolves Cobb who

Mixed in well and savored the moment and made the most of their Good Fortune This became quite an exercise given that most invincibles members were away competing at the Queensland Junior Amateur championship at INR pilly Golf Club Brisbane so the committee decided the five lucky members would be picked up from iny after their second rounds in a stretch limousine and driven to kolum

Resort to savor the big occasion where they rub shoulders with some of the world’s greatest golfers sporting Champions and celebrities where they had an absolute ball and made the most of an unbelievable Opportunity it was fantastic to witness this very talented Squad of invincibles members taking to the world stage soaking up the atmosphere and getting to learn firsthand what was required and expected from touring professionals how they handled big occasions and how they were treated at these very exciting Galler

Events to see our Squad of invincibles members interacting with Legends such as Greg Norman Robert Alby Adam Scott John sendon football icons Carmichael hunt and Cameron Smith NRL along with Internationals like British Open Champion Darren Clark who had his British Open jugging toe was a huge Buzz for everyone the invincibles team were

In awe of the way the professional golfers celebrities the PGA of Australia golf Australia the corporate sector and the media was so generous with their time and for taking the opportunity to make the Juniors feel welcome on such a big occasion that certainly gave them something to talk about with their

Friends when they arrived back at the Queensland Junior Champs at indr pilly the committee would also like to extend thanks and appreciation to events Queensland the Sunshine Coast Council and Roseanne Godard tpr sport for extending this enormously exciting invitation to our very privileged invincibles members it was very much

Appreciated and totally unexpected but reinforced how people view the invincibles tour its junior golf program and the hard work and effort that went into promoting and developing junior golf on the Sunshine Coast the invincibles were asked to supply volunteers to help as scoreboard carriers media drivers and drive and range volunteers at the Australian PGA Championship giving the tours Juniors access to Opportunities and experiences that most can only dream of which gave the invincibles the perfect opportunity

To give back to those who had done so much to support them and the Tour in 2005 Champion golfer Robert alanby winner of the Triple Crown the Australian Open Masters and PGA championships came on board as Patron and Ambassador along with Srixon as a sponsor during the PGA Championship at the Hy kulum Robert would take clinics lasting up to 2 and a half hours give

Motivational talks and feedback for T members and help in any way he could to support and promote the invincibles he really had a passion for helping present opportunities for the kids and nothing was too much trouble for him when it came to supporting the in ibles and seeing them achieve the best possible

Outcomes he just loved it Alan be remained with the invincibles from 2005 to 2016 a period that saw the organization benefit from his feedback guidance support and sheer Presence at Robert’s clinics on day three of the Australian PGA Championship he would bring guests that included Adam Scott

The only Australian to win The Masters Championship along with Greg Norman Darren Clark Baba Watson Aaron badley and many more exceptional world class golfers along with celebrities who extended an unbelievable experience for those participating including many adults standing in the Gallery British Open Champion Sports commentator and highly respected golf Ambassador Ian Baker Finch generously offered to take over Robert’s role as Patron and ambassador to the invincibles tour in 2016 to have any one of these men support and endorse the invincibles would be a massive achievement in itself

But to have both Robert and Ian backass was an enormous endorsement of what the Invincible stood for and what we striving to achieve yeah when grahan first asked me to come along and be a part of the invincibles and be an ambassador like Robert alanby was for

Many years uh I was honored to be asked to start with and I knew what he’d been doing for for a long while beforehand and yeah I’m I’m really impressed with how it’s been run how it’s been organized how it will continue to be so with the the local Association uh taking

Over the rigns to be able to do what they’ve done over more than two decades is just amazing the kids that have come through this program and through the invincibles tour have gone on to win many tournaments major tournaments but more importantly they’ve just become great role models in their communities I

Think that’s what junior golf does and certainly what the invincibles has done and I think Graham and Frank and everyone at the invincibles have done that for more than two decades it’s it’s just amazing it’s a family and I’ve enjoyed being a part of that family now for for many

Years first at beera golf club with John melish running uh the golf day down there and now here at Twin Waters Steve Hutcherson has done such a great job since 2016 uh continuing on the tradition since 1991 we’ve been running my tournament it’s just a small part of the

Invincibles tour and the kids that I’ve got to know here at Twin Waters and and earlier on uh at be uh I just saw a bunch of great kids and and a lot of them now I see on the PG tour I see kids that have come through have won my event

Over the years and have competed and performed with the other kids at the invincibles got a special place in my heart actually when I when I talk to them and uh and see what grahe and Frank and the Invincible team uh and all the moms and dads and the clubs that are

Associated what they’ve done to create something really special twin Waters Golf Club has loved working with the invincibles and we hope to continue to see those kids grow and get better every year the four major courses on the Sunshine Coast have always tried to contribute as best we can to the

Invincibles it’s it’s good for the kids to get out and play out good courses but more importantly for the kids that come from the districts and further away to be able to enjoy our facilities and enjoy all of our uh good courses on the coast and hopefully they

Enjoyed playing them along the way after meeting with Baker Finch and Steve Hutcherson manager at Twin Waters it was decided that Miller would move the ibf classic from bu to Twin Waters with the backing of Callaway Australia this proved to be a fantastic initiative that brought in classic back to life to the

Delight of everyone Involved it was truly inspirational and a magnific side to witness Ian and his wife Jenny walking the fairways with competitors and interacting with them and their families as his classic Unfolded Ian presented all his Awards to the winners that included a $1,000 scholarship to the successful boy and girl Champions and in the case of playoffs he would present a further $500 scholarship to the runner up to be used for accommodation and travel expenses to a major event of their choosing the

Prize also included an invitation to the final qualifying round of the Queensland PGA Championship there is no doubt that the support of Baker Finch and Callaway has helped take the Invincible tour to a new level in standard that they Pride themselves on the winners boys and girls would also receive invitations into the

Invincibles and Greg Norman Junior Masters championships on the Sunshine Coast and goal Coast one of many highlights associated with an’s classic was when he did a running commentary in 2017 during the playoff of the 18th hole at Twin Waters between Ben styler and Lewis ho which Ben won with an eagle to Lewis’s bird this was a spectacular moment in the history of

Ian’s classic which can be relived on YouTube young men and women traveled from all over Southeast Queensland and from as far as Western Australia to participate on the invincibles tour which has helped develop the careers of hundreds of golfers over the past two decades there were many Juniors and their families who have been enormously supportive and done

A brilliant job getting the tour to the standard it did but one family stands out a family that epitomizes what the invincibles tour was all about and one of the reasons it was set up in the first place the family we refer to is the wols cob

Family who would take the 3-hour drive from kingaroy to the Sunshine Coast so Sun Shay could contest the nin hle comp stay back until the 18 hle comp was finished participate in the barbecue and presentations then take the 3- hours drive back home to kingaroy in 2010

Steven Cathy asked if it would be possible for kingaroy to host an invincibles Tour event that led to a 52 seated double-decker bus being organized to take the invincibles to out to kingaroy to contest their junior classic that over the years created heaps of fun a lot of

Interest and what was a great day out for everyone Kathy and Steve saw that Shay was getting so much joy and satisfaction out of contesting Invincible events that they resigned from their jobs uprooted their family and moved to the Sunshine Coast so Shay could follow his dream of one day

Becoming a professional golfer Shay achieved his dream of becoming a professional and has had a wonderful start to the 2023 season being in contention at numerous professional events including the New Zealand open where he held the 54 hole lead before coming up a little short Kathy and Steve was so thrilled

With what the invincibles had done for Shay that they asked if they could sponsor a trophy that would be known as the wols cob family quiet achiever award which is one of the major Awards presented at the invincibles presentation dinner Others who hone their skills on the invincibles tour and made names for themselves include 2022 open champion and three-time Australian PGA Champion Cameron Smith along with the 2021 Australian PGA Champion Jed Morgan Cassie Porter who did a brilliant job at the 2022 Victorian open Caris Davidson winner of the Victorian open in her

First championship as a professional Rihanna Marie Lewis Sarah Wilson Doug clean and Charlie Dan and many more who have done extremely well on the world stage outstanding amateurs like justice bossio Blake Perkins Leon higo and Tyler Duncan played on the invincibles tour as did current Junior Stars Harry tacis

Kate McFarlan charot Singh Iona M Yuki Takata Caitlyn Vander and Amy Hodgkins who all have very Bright Futures the 2022 Australian Open Juniors taking part and 28 competed at the 2021 Queensland open it has reached the stage where it is impossible to turn on a television set and watch a golf

Tournament anywhere in Australia or championships around the world without seeing a competitor who has benefited from being part of the invincibles tour hundreds of invincibles members have gone on to forward careers in the golf industry summer stars on the world’s biggest tours and as touring Professionals in Australia and across

The globe as training Pros teaching professionals administrators greenkeepers and dedicated employees in golf retail and Hospitality hundreds more haven’t become part of the industry but instead have discovered a love for golf that will benefit their lives for as long as they are able to swing a Club the invincibles committee were considering their future back in late 2019 just prior and during the dark days when the co pandemic showed its ugly face that put the world into lockdown it was then that the invincibles appreciated and realized they had an important role to play given the

Circumstances the tour as much as possible and despite the circumstances wanted to make sure the children and their families were safe and at the same time having fun it was important that they keep everyone’s routines and social interaction as normal as possible while whilst working within confines of Co

Protocols in some ways we were enormously lucky given that golf was one area or sport that had more freedom than most if we followed strict curbed guidelines set in place by the government we were able to function well enough to give our Juniors and their families an outlet on a psychological

Physical and social level we felt that if we followed the strict guidelines set out by the government we could keep the tour functioning at an acceptable level these were tough times for everyone but we felt we managed this to the point that we achieved our goals which is something the committee of the

Invincibles tour is very proud of to grow as people and organizations one must accept there will be highs and lows Miller reflects on a few sad times that he and his team witnessed during his time as president and founder of the invincibles it was extremely sad and

Disappointing to a lot of families and the golfing Community when we lost two Junior golfing icons that included the Greg Norman junior golf Foundation and the bagara junior Carnival which were a ride of Passage to every Junior that loved their golf the heart and soul that Ray Clark Charlie her Tony Rollins Val

Beasley and their teams put into running these events over some 27 years was quite remarkable and very much appreciated by everyone that was fortunate enough to experience the energy and atmosphere these championships created their input and effort is imprinted in those that have had the Good Fortune to have experienced

Their unbelievable Legacy Ray Charlie Tony Val and your teams thanks for the incredible memories another sad note was when Mr Palmer purchased the high Regency Kum and turned it into a dinosaur park which was extremely disappointing given we lost the Australian PGA Championship the Queensland open and our Academy from the

Magnificent Hyatt Regency kulum and the Sunshine Coast as the Invincible ‘s presentation dinner was winding up at the newa Springs Golf and spa resort on November 20 2022 Miller confirmed what most already knew that the invincibles tour had been an important part of his life

And the lives of so many others over the past two decades but what came as a real shock to the 140 guests seated in the room was that the invincibles would not be accepting memberships heading into 2023 the audience sat in total disbelief when Miller announced that the tour as

We know it would be going into retirement he revealed it had been an emotional time for his wife marshan Frank Schmidt and of course himself and everyone associated with the tour and he assured everyone it had not been a decision taken lightly we’ve had discussions with golf arrer and PGA

Professionals and held forums and sought to find somebody or some group to take over but there had been no serious or positive feedback that was disappointing but totally understandable given the commitment and work workload that is required to maintain the Invincible tour at the highest standard that it is

Renowned for and without Junior golfers and the golfing Fraternity in southeast Queensland had come to expect over the past 12 months we’ve had discussions with our men’s and women’s golf associations with the aim of maintaining a positive and sustainable future for junior golf which looks promising but having spent two decades

Building a unique brand for the invincibles in a voluntary capacity Miller and his team were reluctant to pass it onto anyone who wasn’t as equally committed to safeguarding the Legacy that had been created Miller feels great sness together with their commit members at the decision to retire the invincibles

Tour but they take great heart and pride in seeing so many of its members achieve remarkable things on and off the golf course and at the same time develop into outstanding young men and women this was the reason we started the invincibles so long ago to help establish a vibrant

Calendar of events for junior golfers to give young players the chance to develop their games and follow their dreams and create an environment where young men and women could Excel fulfill their potential whilst acknowledging the Traditions etiquette and sportsmanship that make golf such a special game as

Miller reflects on the past 20 odd years he takes pride in the knowledge that the tour has largely achieved all its goals the things we sought to establish for young golfers are there and set so firmly in place that he has great confidence they will continue long into the Future over the past few years it became obvious just how long we’ve been running the tour and working with kids when our first members would come up to say hello and introduce their children which was something very special and important to Frank and Me To witness grandparents parents and children Mixie as one was priceless that certainly created an atmosphere that everybody loved this interaction really did bring everyone together which was fantastic to be part of as it was vitally important to the invincibles that all generations were brought together to share in the experience Miller Said After discussing all this with members of the invincibles committee and listening to their feelings it was felt that we be better off refocusing our efforts on a different direction rather than allowing the Invincible tour to continue to an uncertain Future heading into 2023 the Sunshine Coast and South Bernett District men and women’s golf associations are setting in place a Junior Tour based on the invincibles format for this to work in a way that it is anticipated it must have the total support and backing from all clubs sponsors families and most importantly

The kids there are a few individuals and organizations that believe they have all the answers when it comes to Juni golf but the tour would appreciate everyone throwing their support behind this Venture because if we don’t we’ll be losing 20 years of hard work and dedication put in by by the invincibles

Tour and most importantly the vision the invincibles had for junior golf on the Sunshine Coast and Beyond some 20 years Ago moving forward the invincibles tour are aiming to play their part by supporting Juniors who are not Squad members or financially supported by golf Australia those Juniors On The Fringe committed to becoming the best golfers they can boys and girls who would benefit from a little financial support

And encouragement we have set up a skilled panel of four members with a broad knowledge and expertise about the running of junior golf in this region and they will vote on who will be the recipients of these Scholarships it is impossible to acknowledge everyone associated with the Invincible Journey but Miller said he needed to make special mention of Frank Schmid who has been an incredible support and friend his input has been invaluable as most would appreciate particularly those who have experienced Frank’s friendly demeanor and feedback Firstand the tour was fortunate to have Peter heiner as one of its team making his unique talents available for so many years Robert alen and Ian Baker finches to her ambassadors and patrons and constant supporters and committee members like Mandy and Peter Johnson Natalie and Perry Preston Neil Charco

Lloyd Crawley Keith stockill Ken Anderson Marie pickles Ean Eddie Brian pickles Darren Gil Jos and Mick Quirk and Jeannie Barnes the friendships and fun times we had the pleasure of experiencing is what made these relationships work so well and flowed over into the tour Miller said I can’t begin to express my

Gratitude to our sponsors who were part of the invincibles family the invincibles knew they had imparted the appropriate social and people skills when past members would come and offer their support at major events such as the presentation dinner and Master’s Championship their important support was epitomized by Michaela pickles in her

Playing days and young M Anika Park Quinn with the backing from husband Patrick Ana was an enormous support long after she turned 18 and no longer in the junior ranks her support and that of many others including the parents at major events was invaluable and very much appreciated thanks

Maran my special thanks go to my wife maranne without whose support help feedback love and patience none of this would have been possible and to all those very generous parents and supporters who have shared in the Invincible Journey no matter how big or small a part you have played we

Thank you and hope you take as much pride joy and satisfaction away from your Invincible Journey as we have had sharing it with you we would like to thank everyone involved with the principles to her over the years because your generosity support trust and feedback has made a world of difference

To the lives of so many children and their families who have aspired to achieve their best and that can’t be a bad Legacy to leave Behind on reflection it is absolutely staggering what the invincibles managed to achieve over the years and we believe that was largely brought about by everyone working together as a team to get the best possible outcome the future of junior golf on the Sunshine Coast and Beyond has never been

Brighter and we will continue to build a strong sustainable unified Junior golfing tour in our region if we are prepared to put our differences aside and work together as a team if you study the history of any successful business or Sports person starting out one comes to understand and appreciate that most

Journeys start with a dream a first step and a passion for something that gave them a lot of joy and that certainly applies to the journey Miller and his team have witnessed over the past 20 years it has been an absolute pleasure to be involved in the invincibles tour

One of the genuine highlights of my life Miller reflects I and the invincibles committee will watch on with pride and great interest while witnessing how young men and women continue to grow their Endeavor to become the best possible golfers and young men and women they can possibly be when one reflects the name

Invincibles couldn’t have been more appropriate as history would suggest who would have ever thought what the future had in store for us and what that first step meant back in 1999 but thank goodness we took that step together because this journey opens so many doors for so many people and it

Has given a myriad of people an enormous amount of joy and satisfaction in the Process the committee believes we should all take a certain amount of pride Joy and satisfaction out of the journey the invincibles have taken because what we’ve set in place is something very special not only for our Juniors but for golf in general after a long and meaningful consultation the invincibles tour and

Its committee have decided to put their trust and support behind the Sunshine Coast South Beret glass housee and District men’s and women’s golf associations they are taking over the Reigns under the same formula and format as the invincibles tour allbe it under a different B

And we wish them all the best in their Endeavors so the invincibles uh has meant a lot to the the junior golfing community in the district where all the kids know grah and Frank they always have to come and say Alo it’s really made their golf experience more

Enjoyable as president from the SBG golf District we’re really proud to be able to take over from the invincibles tour it’s been a great platform to take over great structures already in place we’re three years ahead in our calendar already with our 16 or 17 events booked

In very well supported by the clubs and players alike have already came to play next year we’ve had 270 different kids play our events this year which is amazing and I know in the past years they’ve had the same amount of kids and they keep coming back which is really a

Testament to the work that’s been done by the invincibles invincibles young men and women all had two things in common they dared to dream and took that first step where will the next step take us
