For a lot of the senior players out there the way that we turn the hips and we got a great drill coming up in a second the way that we turn and tilt our hips the top is really essential it’ll keep the the length of your swing and it
Helps the the structure of your body not only turn further and better but also tilt much more effectively and this right hip and getting the Piston drill and getting this right leg up or this right hip up I should say and drawing this right side back extending
This right leg so that we get symmetrical knee workor that just means how much the right goes back the left goes forwards this really helps your shoulders turn and really helps everything turn and tilt effectively we get the hands on the outside of the hips
We got the hands on the outside of the thighs I should say right right so from here what we’re doing is we’re moving the left hand left knee right hand right hip all right left hand left knee right hand right hip right hand right knee left hand left hip okay left hand left
Knee right hand right hip right hand right knee left hand left hip not easy to say but getting this feeling of How It’s tilting CU your hips have to tilt effectively it’s something that really helps players understand when the right hip’s up and the left is down and the
Right hip’s under and the left is up up your body moves and follows this and it’s a great way that’s why Jack Nicholas always rolled in on the sides of his feet for one of the drills that he use so guys really get stuck into the
Hands and the outside of the thighs left hand left knee right hand right hip right hand right knee left hand left hip and you get starts to really move like what the great players are doing so guys right let’s have a look at this a way to practice this move and groove
It into your swing now we’re going to do a bit of a twoin one thing here what we’re going to do is we’re going to exaggerate this move slightly we’re going extend this right leg back shoulders going under your chin now in a recent video I mentioned if you had

Improve the fastest I should say so if you move into a a really great finish position right where you’ve got your back arched and the grip is Up Normally with the club player we’re around that stage of the Swing we’re probably seeing the grip sort of Point down and the left wrist
Wooden there’s been no real release and when there’s no real release if you don’t release it you’ll release it early and then you’ll stand up unconsciously you’ll stand up and people try and fix standing up their entire lives but it’s your release yeah you don’t just fix
That because it happens for a reason if you stay down and release it early because you’ve got no release you’re going hit you hit it fat and unconsciously your body is trying to fix it and it stands up so what we do is we get into this position here and from
Here we work our way backwards right so we start from this position swing back and then through and if you film that with your mobile phone and play it back the first time in your life you’ll be hitting amazing positions that you wouldn’t normally hit I’ll say it again
You’ll be hitting amazing positions in your swing Dynamic hand wrist motions that you have never been before if you do this movement this desired movement and then hit a ball do it a couple times hit a ball do it have time hit a ball if you keep practicing that over weeks over
Months how you get good at something this is a way to unlock the door for you now let’s have a look at how to practice this and how it can really change the look of someone’s swing so people before and after I have this gentleman now from
A handicap of around 20 down to a handicap of eight let’s have a look at the first swing that I saw from him very wide downswing losing angles clubs scraping along the ground no sharlan at impact and really a very stiff to wooden style release and we see that that lead
Arm now looking a bit funky breaking down and really a swing that never finished like pretty flexible dude have a look at that but just really stiff was it hitting it short and so so what we’ve done is have a look at this drill on the
Right here in full speed we start from there whipping the club back and through creating really just incredible Sensations now when we get up to the top have a look what this drill does now there’s no chance there’s no way a normal golf will hit these positions
Look at these angles coming down right Club under the chin here Shar lean through the golf ball now that is an eff swing right that is compact that’s together and the grip is now pointed here have a look at this through the golf ball before like you can’t compare
It now if you did do this motion this desired movement for before you hit a shot and you get in there and you hit a ball it’s all fresh right the feeling’s there and all of a sudden we start to get positions that just so much better
Than the older swing and through time you improve right you get into impact you have more sharpening look how the hands are moving now much more effectively and we’re getting it now that’s starting to look like an effortless swing and this is what we call Front End therapy if you move your
Hands and wrists dynamically the body follows the chain reaction is massive you’re just given so many positions let’s have a look at this this is a gentleman with a slightly higher handicap here and he’s hitting a golf ball on the right and this is the front
End therapy drill on the left let’s have a look as he swings back and we’re going to see the right arm stay really connected here the right leg look how free that looks through the golf ball right the right leg moving through and we’ll stop it there now have
A look with the golf ball right arm further away disconnected and we get into impact through the ball look how we don’t have the right side Bend see his legs how they’re closing up more on the left into here right we see the left wrist see how the left wrist is in an
Extended position now and this is more of a wooden style stiff release and the body’s looking a bit awkward not an effortless motion and here we’re getting the end of the grip to point up before the hands get behind the head the right leg moving freely and what a great way
To practice using that drill before you hit a golf ball and this other style here with the grip pointed down so getting your hands and your risk to move effectively your body follows and for a lot of people out there not the other way around then that’s why your swing

I’m 77 , and I have a smooth , effortless swing : all I do is setup w/ a grip like the classic Golf Pride training grips teach , a little weight forward ( I’m a front post player ) and simply rotate the right scapula straight back and move it forward until its stops closer to the target than the left was at address !
