Smoke the competition in the under arour smoke rider for 2024 let’s get into it welcome back to vs Athletics in today’s video we’re going to be going over the under arour smoke rider for 2024 this is a mid to Elite level Sprint shoe for basically 100 to 400 m but you
Can also drop down to get those 60 M indoors or the hurdle time so 110 hurdles and 100 met hurdles for women so all around great shoe so if you want to think of this and put it in like kind of its hierarchy of where it goes in Sprint
Shoes if you think of like the max fly as Nike’s top shoe then the superfly Elite then you have the jaw fly then the Rival it would be your entry level shoe you basically have the Sprint Pro 3 which would be the ful length plate this would be comparable to Nike
Either uh Superfly Elite or maxfly for their high-end shoe this would rival basically your jawy for Nike so basically you have a 3/4 PEX plate and we’ll get into the little science right now so PEX is an elastomer and it’s a high-tech polymer with uh basically created for durability and it’s tailored
For its high flexibility elasticity and strength and energy return while still maintaining its lightweight form so basically a Pex plate is a flexible but strong plate elastomer kind of polymer for basically athletic equipment so you have that PEX 3/4 plate in the Sprint Pro that plate goes all the
Way to the heel so more aggressive more rebound on the Sprint bro but in a kind of cut down version for the smoke Rider you have the proprietary hovr cushioned foam this is a mesh energy foam kind of cushion for responsiveness and you also have a little bit of heel grip so all
Your 400 meter hurdlers or 4 Runners who kind of tailor off and get tired in the end of the race there is a little heel cushion with some grip on it so you have embroidered upper I don’t know if it comes out that well on

What we say is the the foot that goes in the shoe is more important than the shoe that goes on the foot so if you’re a fast athlete you should definitely check out these it’s not going to hinder your ability and you’ll be a competitive
