Here in December um I guess probably the best place he starts obviously your fight with with with Rudy I’m going to be completely honest I probably thought he would aged the fight when you sort of look back at I guess you probably watched it what did you
Sort of make of the draw yeah well listen it was a good fight uh listen both of us took the Fate early on in our careers um and and yeah listen you know the only everybody has their opinions on the fight you know what I mean and and
List the only person that opinions really matter is the judge you know what I mean so you can read in the social media and all the rest of it because there was a lot of talk on on on social media Etc after afterwards but it was a
Draw and listen you can’t you can’t look back and and sort of dwell on it you know what I mean it’s uh it’s not my um it’s not my duty to put that right you know what I mean and listen um I’ve spoke to Rudy since and there it’s it’s
All it’s boxing you I mean it’s only a sport so yeah listen um thought it was a good fight I enjoyed it and uh I learned a lot from it and uh and yeah we uh we’ll move on the next one I guess for both of you obviously R had experienced
Obviously box before and I guess with these both being so young and obviously having a big occasion like a match trim card and things like that I guess nerves everything El going to get the better of it I’d probably say in some ways did he damage your nose in the third round it
Probably seemed to be halfway through the third round I think you know you sort of started to slowly but sort of I guess when you watch it live and then you try and watch it again afterward you’re trying to think of how how did the fight go and everything else did did
You do damage to your nose in the fight no Fring no my nose was nose was bleeding any no me when I would Breathe them when nose would bleed you know what I mean but uh no I was no damage listen it was just um it was uh
It was just it was a good good P fight as well you I mean that’s sort of came ined too and as I’m saying there was a we bit of blood around his mouth and stuff so you know I mean it it was um it
Was it was good I didn’t I didn’t I didn’t didn’t feel hurt or anything at any point in it uh and uh and yeah you know listen foring it it sets up for a bigger fight the next time around you know what I mean I guess when I guess we
Need sort of watch the back you know probably say both you and R would probably say weren’t at your best on the night you know obviously you could see mistakes from both sides is it I guess a good way you obviously didn’t get beat you obviously didn’t win it was the draw
It gives a both these momentum gives you that charge and stuff to everything they go again is that the plan sort of maybe now looking at getting a rematch and maybe a title on the line next time 100% yeah um obviously listen sort of grateful for for that
Fight you know because listen especially probably him too you learn a lot you know you you know when you’re in there 50-50 Fates you learn about a lot about yourself and and you know you know you have to sort of put them put them things right that that you notice and you
Obviously I’ve made a few changes since then um but even in the buildup the fight you know from you know if you watch my f even faer and and hang obviously uh in uh in August um my uh my boss had passed away you know what I
Mean so I even think I was actually speaking to you whenever there was talk of the fight I actually accepted the fight and you sort of actually had said that maybe not to take the fight you know what I mean so sort of thing a lot
Of things come in the fight man it’s not just physical you have to be mentally there too and I think definitely you know there was stuff even going on F week that that uh affected my performance do you know what I mean but again listen that’s only that’s that’s
Life you know what I mean you have to get get just put the head down and go through it so listen I think next time around I’ll be a completely different fighter and listen I can say that and talk about it but it’s my job
Now to put that right and my job to show that that wasn’t my best version do you know what I mean and um and I think I’m making steps um daily to to improve and and go towards it I guess some people sort of look at it and go with the draw
And everything else excuses everything else I I do know first time what it was like and I sort of said you know it’s the right time for you you as a fighter you want to keep your mind active and away from other things so the only thing
You want to do is to fight I guess probably in some ways when you’ve you’ve had probably easier fights you know as you’re sort of building up obviously you’re able to test yourself and know like what I need to improve on when you have a domestic fight like that so
Probably in some ways it’s a probably blessing that the sort of fight ended the way it did because it both makes he’s hungrier to come back from it um the the change I guess obviously in moving down to dou with Pete Taylor sort of came as a surprise to me I would sort
Of speak the on and off pretty much regularly and it sort of came about I’m sort of going I didn’t see it coming but like you’re actually adding extra miles to your day like B castle the Dublin is what 140 150 miles you know obviously Pete Taylor obviously is established
Obvious Katy Taylor’s dad and everything else how how’s that sett in imped one for you so far well I’m sort of glad that fight happened do you know what I mean because listen if just say I had a won the fight you know you sort of you
Don’t make any changes and you just go on um you go on and just keep doing what you’re doing you know so I’m glad that fight happened early on in my career so I knew SED to make changes and put things right um but yeah listen I’m I’m
Loving down there um I’m loving down in the gym me and Sean go down the road every day and it’s C crack and you’re down there and and you know I mean you just needed a changement you know you’re in a new gym new environment new people
And and you’re learning new things and I think definitely you know um even just speaking the pet SL you know on and off about the fight you know there’s definitely things that even actually of you know what he says and I go frig you know I didn’t even myself I probably
Should have been doing an into the fight but I wasn’t but even when my last camp with d know like I would still consider they as a friend you know what I mean there’s no bad blood or nothing um and and you know what I mean and I I respect
Everything they did for me you know what I mean cuz you can’t leave and and and that you know what I mean they put his time and effort into me and and I I’ll always be gr grateful to him for that you know what I mean and but again you
Know it’s it’s a it’s a it’s you’re the person getting into the ring and you have to do what’s best by you you know what I mean and and I’ve made a move and and and it’s been probably the best move I’ve ever made I guess in some ways
Obviously you’re you you’ve been experiencing some of the fight week here you sort of surprised yourself to see match him back in Belfast so quickly obviously you know I think it’s been seven eight weeks since the last show Lis crooger back again unfortunately just missed out Meg him weight there but
What what a start to arish boxing for the year definitely me it was actually talked about me and Rudy going on this this card it was in just think the last week in December but me and Rudy lost two cousins passed away un in December so it didn’t really make sense for the
Both of us I you know I think that was the plan to go on this card the you know that’s what was being talked about then my cousin passed away quite just just literally a week after the the fight in the in the last fight match and fight
Week and then his cousin passed the away so it didn’t make any didn’t make sense um plus any if Christmas and stuff so yeah you know it was um it’s good to see them back you know they do things properly and do you know what I mean and
Me and Ry me the Fate with me and Rudy will always be there and listen and we’ll we’ll go and we’ll do what we need to do ourselves and come back and we’ll have a rematch and the rematch will be bigger there’s obviously another guys throwing himself in the mix there
Obviously Connor car’s with in GA as well he’s obviously s he wants a fight with either obvious I guess you know you’ve already proved you already had one domestic fight you’re happy to go the other domestic fights but it creates a nice weed triangle that you know maybe
The two of them could go and fight and and you could fight the winner for the Irish title or I would say a defense of the Celtic b or whatever but it gives a gives a different landscape than just you and Rudy talking to each other you
Can speak about Conor care as well 100% listen I think me and Rudy both of us have proved that we’ll fit anybody you know I mean like we both fought each other there in our fights when you should be ping your record you know I
Mean and we’re not doing that um so it doesn’t matter really who starts coming down to Super Bantam we’re we’re both open or up for a fight if it’s on a Big Show and and the money’s right you’re going to take it you know what I mean
And uh and yeah man it’s interesting you know I don’t know I don’t know if Connor car is even made close to Super P think F we I think I think I was I’m not sure if he’s going to make Feller for his fight in the 17th but I think obviously
He seems like he wants to go down the super B him as well so an extra one four pound yeah well already saying you want to but then you have to do it you know what I mean so L some I would love to say I could say to you now I’m going
To fight fly with you know I mean Super Fly with but you have to then go and do it you never know listen he could go and maybe try and make the we and find out that to we bit much to take off and fight you know what I mean cuz the we
Cuts are as tough as the fight you know what I mean sometimes if you’re really taking a lot of yourself so me you I don’t really look into into that much you I mean freaking anybody can can say what they want I mean so if he comes
Down happy days there’s there’s three of us to fighting you I mean it’s not like anybody’s going to avoid each CH we’re Fighters and at the end of the day you know we fight every day in the gym you know what I mean so somebody else coming
In makes makes it more exciting you know what I mean and and uh and yeah I I’ll fight any of the two of them obviously Rudy obviously you want that one back you want to put that right um but if Conor car comes up that’s do it I I F
Any of them I mean so want to speaking your manager obviously party obviously just over four weeks the he takes over Orlando Florida obviously there’s no Mickey Mouse in Orlando Florida for that week cuz obviously part’s going to be there it’s probably his first fight since you sort of his first well he
Fought obviously the fail with you as well but but obviously I guess it’s for him obviously making the we and everything else now as well like you know speaking to JY yesterday as well and you know they think of where party comes through and a lot of people don’t
Think he stand the chance for Blanca is looking incredible and and Spar and everything else like are you going to go over to Orlando FL the fight yeah I’m going to go over um I’m going to go over to orando for the fight uh and I can’t
Wait I actually can’t wait to to you know it’s good to have poy as manager cuz py sort of again has took his opportunities same way that I have you know I I’ve took my opportunities when I could and and he’s uh he LS out the
Blueprint he’s L out a blueprint for AR boxers that don’t come in with a big amateur backing um he has great contacts um I was actually just might of meet with part there and there’s a few things been spoke about behind the scenes it’s quite exciting with poy and and jimy so
You know if any of them can come off obviously he has to get bang he get banga out of the way first but even stuff regarding myself P’s always like that’s what I’m saying I actually said to P I was like PTY if own fight to worry about don’t be worrying about me
And he’s always he’s always working behind the scenes but no I think uh I think py I think py can do it you know there’s a there’s actually a clip of banga being dropped and it’s the same sort of right hand poty throw so you
What I’m saying if py can p can be good for one second do you know what I mean you never know but again Banga Banga is a top operator and and Po’s not going to be stupid P’s going to go in there fully prepared and the doubt D’s going to D’s
Goingon to have poty fully prepared too so it’ be good fight and and listen if poty can do it freaking hell like he’s he’s won the lattery hasn’t he and and from the channel as well but even for us like ourish boxers like we should be rooting for potty cuz at the minute
We’re short in L who comes back and takes Pi takes a big shoes back if poty wins here it’s poy mccu you know what I mean and listen to through there’s a few newes been talked about if he can beat banga you know what I mean and your
Canalo and all the rest of it and if he can do it then he’s a man and Belfast and he’s going to be the the headline actor jimy col obviously teas that that looks like it’s going to be a call boxing show at the end of March probably
In same venues tomorrow norer Hall will you be throwing your name into the hat for that obviously I don’t want you to speak out a turn and get yourself in ball and not be on the card but I’m guessing obviously you’re just waiting now to get fighting new so you can get
The first fight on the way we P yeah that’s the plan but there’s a few things other than that been talked about which is exciting um H and JY are sort of exploring so I’m I’m excited you know I’m sort of um sometimes you have to pin
Yourself sometime you know what is this is this happening you know what I mean and and so there’s good things that other than that that that have been spoke about and hopefully come through and again and I will they’ll be hopefully you know me and P just spoke
