Aussie cricket legend Glenn Maxwell and club professional Cat Odgers return for this week’s episode at the incredible Peninsula Kingswood in Victoria. Braith, Daisy and ‘Maxi’ attempt to beat Cat in a tricky short game challenge including a 50m approach shot, bunker shot, 60 foot putt and the ‘ring of fire’ – 6 x 6 foot putt’s. 3 points are awarded for a mini challenge win, 2 for second and 1 for 3rd. With additional bonus points awarded for beating Cat in a challenge, which of our 3 single handicappers has the short game finesse to take the victory?
Welcome back to another episode of Drummond golf TV we’re back at Peninsula Kingswood and we’ve got Australian cricket Legend Glenn Maxwell and the club pro cat to join us for these challenges obviously Daisy back again he’s back and he’s in form Maxi we got a short game challenge today and it’s good
To have you back how do you go with your your short game putting not so bad chipping like most athletes get a little bit yippy and a bit scared of inside 100 full shots generally what I try and play to but that’s I suppose that’s why we’ve
Got the pro here to teach us through a bunch of this stuff so looking forward to seeing cat go hopefully she can help us because I’m very much the same as you Daisy what have we got today what are the challenges you’re going to get a
Chance to do all of those things so we’re going to do a 50 m shot here to the back flag we’ll then go to greenside Bunker we’ll then have a long pot and then the ring of fire which is 6t puts six of so cat any advice for us here
This is your local track what should we be doing and why is the short game so important for me I’m your typical 180 stra so I think short game um is particularly important for me I think it’s great to hit it long but if you don’t have the short game there then
You’re going to struggle to put a score together so this is the 50 M chip cat’s going to be the Benchmark so she’ll put one in as close as possible if we get their ball inside of that you get one point closest to the pin will be three
Points two and then one and if you been it I’m generous I’ll give you an extra three points cat what do we do run us through it all right so we’ve got water in front of us so let’s hope that we’re not going to we’re not going to chk you set us up
Already we’ve got a bunker over the back so hopefully we don’t knife it straight through the straight through there so already you’ve got a few things to think about but now we got a 50 m shot over the water I suppose we’re going to try
And think of uh taking the water out of it all together you can either land it just pass a pin there run it down the down the slope or run it sorry land it just over the hill there and get it to run up on there um I’ve got a 54° here
So we’ll try and hit a half half little shot here and see how we go can we hit two balls and take the best one or is it just one shot I I think two let’s be honest we’re probably going to scale at least one so a bit of forgiveness and

The P the first one did all right we’ve got to the green and the pro cat is closest so none of us will get a bonus point Daisy with his second clutch shot gets the three points with my knife I got the two points and Maxi just outside
My one gets the one point so the first challenge is over all right cat you’re up first again see if you can hit the best shot yet again but this time I think we’re going to get you I’m pretty confident one of us oh I don’t know yeah
Let’s do it so we’ve got a fairly um short bunker shot here again the greens are being C so it’s not going to run a whole lot um and I think it’s going to go Fairly straight okay oh that’s nice oh oh just ran on a little bit very nice swing say 6

Two a level putter okay the rest of my game absolute garbage but when it comes to getting on the green which is my issue watch out all right that’s going to be interesting now that you’ve probably haven’t put a whole lot of pressure on this all right let’s do it all right
Guys down to the putting so first of all what’s every on handicaps and do you think this is one of your strengths in your game I’m off 1.5 in the short game probably stuff didn’t show it but um probably one of my strengths is putting and green reading um probably more on
Faster greens but we’ll see how we all righty so you should take out this challenge let’s hope so my G at the moment is 7.8 and as I said before putting is usually a strengthen especially on these greens when they’re not C they are the purest Greens in
Australia I believe but uh today we’ve got a challenge of the sand so we’ll see yeah I’m off six and not many strengths at the moment um if I can get it off the tea that’s definitely my strength my chipping as you could see is terrible
