The second category of spikes we’re going to talk about today is the mid distance Spike we have two options here at neille Running Company and for our purposes mid distance is the 800 M and the mile or the 1500 if you run collegially these shoes can also be used
For the long jump the triple jump the high jump and the pull Vault the first shoe in this category that we’re going to talk about is the Nike Rival multi the reason it says multi is as I stated previously this can be used for jumps and mid
Distance it has a little bit more rubber on the sole of the shoe which gives you a little bit more cushioning when you might be running heel toe or taking off your jump leg that Spike plate is still 3/4 length and you still have six Implement spots to put those spikes in
The upper is also a little bit more padded because you will be in your spikes longer than a Sprint distance the second shoe in this category that we are carrying this year at neille Running Company is the New Balance md500 you’ll notice in this shoe in the midsole especially there’s a little bit
More padding again because you’ll probably be running heel toe or taking off that jump leg when you are doing one of those multi-field events the spike plate continues that 3/4 length structure in this shoe you have spots for six spikes just like the previous um Mid distance Spike but
You’ll have some traction here in the heel so if you are jumping in wet conditions you’re a little more secure off that jump Leg
