Late in Thursday night’s game between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Islanders, Brenden Gallagher delivered an ugly elbow to the head of Adam Pelech, injuring him on the play. We talk about that and more in today’s NHL Hockey video!

This is worse than Trailer Park Boys a level of greasiness from Brendan Gallagher for this elbow to the head of Adam pelic in tonight’s Habs and Isa game The Return of Patty W to the NHL in Montreal there was a whole celebration as the NHL drummed it into us this whole

Week that it was happening anyway with about 8 minutes to go in the third period Montreal is up 3-1 they were leading pelic skates over to the blue line passes the puck and a solid just over a second later Gallagher skates by and leans in a nasty elbow right into

His face he just drives it in even as pelic sees him and tries to avoid the contact but Gallagher was obviously Out For Blood and he reaches back to deliver the people’s elbow right to his ey socket I mean this is straight grease he needs to be suspended for this he got

Tossed but Gallagher needs to learn his lesson from the NHL he’s a guy who’s always skated that Brad Marshawn line of grease and I was shocked to see that he hasn’t actually been suspended yet but I think this is where the NHL kind of needs to throw the book at him give him

Five games it’s not like he’s going to hurt the bottom feeder Habs by being away anyways and maybe it’ll get him to tone it down there’s no need for this in any level of hockey just disgusting stuff and the Habs are already up 31 why

Do you feel the need to try to injure somebody at the end of the game it’s just foolish and the hit would rally the Islanders as they would bang in two on the power play to tie it up first one was a nice little RIP by barzel He Is

Some time along the boards rips one to make it 3-2 then with 30 seconds left on the power play Dobson takes a big old Clapper from the point there’s a scramble and it’s tucked in to tie the game that couldn’t have gone any better for the Islanders but unfortunately they

Blow a clearing attempt in before they know it Monahan Snipes a gamewinner with 2 minutes to go the Habs would take it 43 I really wanted the Isles to take it after this one I’m a Rangers Fan so that’s saying something but with the elbow you know it had me feeling some

Kind of way but do you think gallager should be suspended and if so how many games let us know down below

  1. I'm not a habs fan by no means, but dude was watching his pass. That kinda shit will happen if you don't keep your head up

  2. He only got 5 games once again I believe player safety has got one wrong 5 games for this is a slap on the wrist I believe it should have been atleast 10 games

  3. Clean, he comes right down the center. Pelech has his head down, leaning forward, and turns his head to watch the pass instead of bracing for the hit. Gallagher even avoids toughing his knees. Its really dumb how NHL players are intentionally putting themselves in bad positions, then fake injuries to draw penalties. He saw Gallagher coming, thats why he passed but he refuses to protect himself because its an easy powerplay. The NHL is so soft nowadays.

  4. Get out of here.. Have you ever played hockey yourself? Gallager is just bracing himself for a hit that is inevitable since they are skating right into each other. He doesn't "aim" for his head! They are just both really low at this very moment. Hockey is a physical sport. It's an accident. Get used to it.

  5. theres still gonna be that edgy kid that thinks "thats hockey – go play tennis instead hihi"
this is just ruining hockey alltogether

  6. Gallagher is not head hunter. He knows that it was a dangerous hit. Yes he is suspended no doubt. These guys can skate up to 40 kilometers an hour. It can happen fast without intention. Obviously a lot of comments are from people who never played hockey. The game is brutally fast. Gallagher has never been suspended because he's not a dirty player. He just gets in your face.

  7. It would be 5 games if he had decided to elbow at the last minute, but his intentions were clear and never played the puck. Looked at his head the whole time. I vote 10 games.

  8. They suspended David Perron, having zero suspension history, 6 games for a crosscheck to the side of the helmet and the guy didn't miss a shift. The NHL has always been darkly inconsistent and leaving the door open for crazy vicious hits. Gallager's hit was to the face and the player has been out since.

  9. 0:50 absolutely not, Marchand is multiple tiers above Gallagher when it comes to dirty shit. Marchand seems to genuinely enjoy hurting people with slewfoots.

  10. Gallagher is a dirty player. He's skated the line so many times, but always received the benefit of the doubt because he 'has no history of suspensions'.

You can really see who the DoPS likes and doesn't like based on who gets the benefit of 'no suspension history', and who gets the book thrown at them for first offenses.

  11. The Number one move for player safety is to fire the single biggest joke the NHL has ever hired
PARROS HAS NO CLUE what he’s doing. Wake up Gary

  12. A tad late, but not egregious if you really know hockey. Maybe you should try to play the video in real time…Talk about bias. Stop slowing the video on the hit, yet speeding it up on all other footage. Ever heard of confirmation bias? Stupid is as stupid does.

  13. If the NHL really wants to get rid of these kinds of cheap hits to the head (which has been their message over the past 5 years) they needed to give him a minimum 10-20 games. Send this message even to players with only 1 or 2 previous infractions. 5 games is a joke for this from so many angles.

  14. 20 games and a god damn hefty fine I’m thinking 400,000 should about do it although players safety with the smarts they run Gallagher will get 3 games and no fine gotta get rid of Gary Betman and the players safety need a major freaking enema do Saros in get rid of him they are all freaking useless I’m sorry but that’s my opinion G.C. Canada

  15. Gallagher : 5 games for elbowing (first offense)

McAvoy : 4 games for elbowing (second offense)

Trouba : 2 games for elbowing (third offense)

Paros and the league are a joke
