M is now the coach of the Atlanta Falcons and we got to go into a full offseason breakdown of this team and talk about what did the dirty birds need to do starting with free agency roster construction and then ultimately a seven round mock draft so we’re going to get

Into this thing and see what’s going on what’s cooling by the way hope you’re having a great day starting off with this roster which needs to be constructed properly Terry fot got his work cut ahead of he’s done a good job but there’s still some pieces we need to

Do so let’s start off with the offensive line this offensive line is good it definitely is now transition to maybe more of a pass heavy offense could bring more liabilities here and we’ll talk about that in a minute but Jake Matthews still under contract he recently got an

Extension I don’t expect them to move on from him and he’s still a good pass protector and a reliable tackle Matthew berson left guard he looked good throughout the spurts of the season for my eyes I think he’s going to be a nice Cornerstone left guard for them so I

Think you’re good to go there for the time being maybe a developmental left tackle you know vble can be a nice solid back up Center wise this is where some of the questions come to play because a new scheme could alter this a little bit but I think Raheem Mo Morris and what

He’s going to bring in will ultimately favor this offense and Drew dolman is a guy that is a really good run blocker he does have some liabilities for power he’s not the biggest guy but he’s an exceptional run blocker and he has improved a little bit in pass protection

So I’m not especially still on that rookie contract I’m not looking to replace him at least spending a high draft pick on this and especially with what he brings as a run blocker is Elite level stuff and as the improvements in pass protection comes heading into a contract year hopefully continues to

Bulk up and get stronger but the dude is a solid starting center at least in my opinion and then we got Chris lindström Right Guard obviously not a need there he’s a beast right tackle Caleb McGary also the question here because his pass protection especially early in the

Season was bad it leveled out I will say he wasn’t terrible at points of the season so he’s a good run blocker as well really strong up body you got storm Norton and when he had to fill in for Caleb McGary part way in into the season

He wasn’t bad too so maybe you look at resigning storm nordon or at least a a um a solid swing tackle like that’s something that they could look at doing if they don’t bring back storm Norton but I would suspect Caleb McGary could be someone they look to move on from

You’re only going to save like $3 million and you’re going to end up losing 9.5 so that’s a tough one I think that’s more of a next season thing so my recommendation here would be just kind of developing a right tackle in the mid rounds or drafting somebody for the

Future maybe you could do the same thing at sen or bringing a back up there to have some competition as a pass protector onto the wide receiving Corp they need added number two number three guy okay because Mt Holland’s a free agent van Jefferson’s a free agent literally almost everybody I mean you

Got some dep pieces Josh Ali Austin Mack CH Chris Blair but no matter what they need to help add this to this receiving core get somebody besides Drake London now obviously K pits and he should be utilized on the outside more that’s going to be something that I hope they

Do with Kyle pittz Jon Smith I think he’s a cap casualty this this off season for them that would be my suspect and especially with the money situation where they’re at not I mean JN Smith was good this seasonally in Arthur Smith System But ultimately it wouldn’t be

Shocked if he ends up getting moved on with Kyle pittz getting more of an extended role and imagine he gets fully healthy too we’ve not seen fully healthy Kyle pittz yet so I would just recommend getting some receiver help between free agency and the draft this is a must

Priority to go along with Drake London tight end just bringing some depth in free agency and then running back bejan dejon Robinson I think the bet is yes to come for bejan dejon so you got him and Tyler alir Cordell Patterson he’s been a beast for them but ultimately I think

They let him walk you’re into good shape with aler and beon maybe you need to pick up a third guy but I think Avery Williams you can figure that out quarterback wise this is a must we got to prioritize this we have to improve this I could see them going after KK

Cousins even with Bill bich not being the head coach for this team wouldn’t shock me if Kurt Cousins comes here because of how attractive this team could be for Kirk Cousins ultimately though no matter what you have to improve this whether you spend that number eight overall pick on it or you

Get her cousins trade for Dak Prescott of here swirling it’s around there but anyway you got to get upgrade at this quarterback room it’s a huge area we have to prioritize defensively wise defensive line also a big need for this team edwise this is a top three priority

On this team maybe even a top two priority with quarterback it’s right there neck and neck you have to improve the edge position and it starts with Bud depri being a free agent Lorenzo Carter could be a cap casualty I lean towards you know you can save 3 point like 75 or

Something something like that but I would actually just keep Lorenzo Carter because I think he’s a good solid rotational player and it’s like you still need depth off your Edge so I would ultimately keep him unless you feel like you can really get somebody like a Brian Burns and maybe somebody

Else or whatever but Lorenzo Carter is not a bad player to have on your roster D’Angelo Malone to in a new scheme might benefit from Rim Morris actually he might maybe he plays a little bit of a Byron young so he might get a boost next year I could definitely see that Arnold

And Bia I think they’re going to really I think Raheem Morris is going to unlock Arnold and a lot and he showed some good pass flashes this season so EBY Katy in bigger role next season I expect that but definitely still need a number one pass rusher in this room so I’m looking

To address that between free agency and the draft interior defense line they’ve got some good studs man but when Grady Jared went down with injury this defensive line definitely took a hit because it’s just a lack of rotation and obviously there’s there these guys are getting older so they need some more

Youth right I think that’s going to be the big thing so drafting for the future you got some studs with Jared and anada K Campbell’s a East he’s a free agent though he’s going to be what 38 next season so you got to have to think about that definitely Zach Harrison showed

Some big time flashes for them so continuing to add pieces on this interior for the future you got some good players But ultimately still need to add some help there and then on to the linebacker position you got the Hitman Nate lman one of my favorites in

Colorado a few years back coming out in the draft dude is a stud he’s not the crazy fasted guy man he’s so instinctual and he hit so you got him he’s exclusive restricted he’ll be back he better be back and they got Kaden Ellis nice Blitzer and good linebacker too I mean

He’s got some really good skills or run defense wise reading keys and things like that Troy Anderson is going to be an interesting one because look they do need some more speed in this linebacking course somebody that can cover a little bit better in space and hopefully Troy

Anderson could be that guy for them maybe you bring in a free agent to or a late round throw that could be an option as well but I’m not super worried about this linebacking court like I talk about maybe just look at bringing in like a

Coverage guy and then we go on to the cornerback position here which you know before this I was saying maybe we need to prioritize a little bit more but Raheem morrris coming in I actually like the Personnel that he’s got with in play with Clark Phillips who I think is going

To be a nice fit for them he doesn’t he’s not the craziest athlete guy but he’s really smart he Triggers on a dime and he’s going to play that Doris Williams role for this team AJ trell is going to be that Jaylen Ramsay in movable piece you got D Alford in the

Slot I like it man I really do Jeff Auda will’ll see if he comes back or not I mean he’s not a bad corner he had some bad moments throughout the season we’ll see what happened he also was dealing with injury Mike Hughes I expect him to

Be a cap casual see Trey flowers we’ll see if they bring him back but ultimately I think between Phillips and Alford you need to bring a few more you know free agent or two and then a draft pick as well but I think they can get

The job done man I I think Clark Phillips I’m high on him and I expect him to be at least competing for the job then we get into the safety room and this is another area where obviously got Jessie bat you’re good to go free safety strong safety I would bring somebody in

In free agency here to go along with the m Helms and while I think Helm showed enough to me where I weren’t feeling confident that you don’t need like spend a ton or you don’t need to spend a high pick on this I would bring in somebody

Like a veteran presence in here to go along with these three guys at least having a rotation free agency though let’s get into this starting off with the cut period where I’m going to go ahead and cut Janu Smith and while he again was amazing for them this season

And and Arthur Smith loved him I’m going to go ahead and save that money Kyle pittz should be ready to go fully healthy save $6.5 million there Taylor hiny I’m going to let him go as well save $ 6.52 million and then we’re going to let go of Mike Hughes and also Richie

Grant and saving a little bit of money a little around $5 million total to get their cap space up from 29.88 to $47.77 million now on to the resign period here and we got to bring back some players and first off I’m going to let Cordell Patterson go van Jefferson

Cordell Hodge I decided to bring back Scotty Miller on a 1.2 $12 million deal mainly because of the Special Teams ability that he has but you know bring back maybe one of these receivers I Let Go M Hollands I Let Go Matt Hennessy on the offensive line I did bring back

Storm nordon on a one-year $2 million deal I I saw you know I feel like he’s a nice swing tackle for them having that swing tackle is Everly important on the defense side of the ball cus Campbell if he wants to come back oh yeah he’s he’s getting resigned but that’s just a

Question I I play play a conservative maybe retires or maybe he wants to go to more of a championship team who knows but that’s in his hands if he wants to come back though he’s getting resigned because of how good of a player he is still a really good player and then on

Cavar Street uh you got Huggins you got gaziano going to let those guys walk BU depri as well bring back the Hitman exclusive restricted free agency tag I’m not exactly 100% sure how much that’s going to cost I just kind of estimated at 1.5 million Auda and flowers maybe

They bring back Auda but I I just let them both go and you got some dep spend slash maybe they bring it back in a Cuda just that kind of money is reserved for exclusive restricted free aidence or you know debt pieces stuff like that long Snappers Etc so that brings our money

From $47.77 million to 4.07 million to spend in free agency which we’re going to go ahead and go and address now which we’re going to add Tyrod Taylor bring some experience bring some veteran leadership in here to go along with a potential quarterback that we’re going

To look to draft I’m going the draft route for this I could see them going Kurt Cousins but I kind of like going the draft route here and I think there’s a guy that I I I’m I’m going to be targeting Odell Beckham Jr gives you a

Nice solid wide receiver too we’re still going to look to address this in the draft okay I think long term for sure Odell Beckham Jr will be a nice solid piece to come in here and help help the Young quarterback develop and you got Brandon pal as well just a nice you know

Fourth receiver he’s on a $1.5 million for deal for us and we fi we signed some more depth here with frell brown at the tight end position could be a solid number two tight end you got Matt filer on the interior at guard can be some

Good depth and also Nick Harris fer is a really good pass protector Harris has potential right I mean he’s somebody that especially with the Browns drafting Luke whiper more than likely they’re going to let go of Nick Harris so I think he can be a nice guy with some

Upside to be a long starter for them if they don’t ring back true Dalman and then on the defense side of the ball Quinton Jefferson he can be that uh defensive end five tech three Tech in that mold who can be a pass rushing specialist for this team cuz he’s a good

Pass rusher for the Jets like he he was getting pressure he’s just not the greatest run Defender you know what I mean but he can definitely get out of the quarterback so you bring him on a $3.5 million deal he gets more juice on up the middle as a rotational player

Zider Smith here’s my big signing off the edge I didn’t go Brian Burns here it’s a tough one to project cuz I think they’re ultimately going to give him the franchise tag so when conservative I think zidus Smith’s an underrated player man he always seems to outproduce his

Contract he’s just a really good Edge rusher that gets pressure so I’m going to go get him and we’re going to do in the draft as well something there and then we bring in Antonio Hamilton and Bree hall both some depth there at the quarterback position for injuries

Competition you know Etc always need some depth to the quarterback position and then taan Gibson brings that experience that veteran leadership in there that way you got dco Helms the youth and Gibson and then obviously Jesse Bates so that’s a good I feel like three tandem at the safety position also

Include the draft spend in here so that does take us into the negatives but as I talk about you’re going to restructure a little bit of money you know what I mean backload cont these are no backloaded contracts that are included which you know a lot of these teams are going to

Do that so this is a very conservative ballpark number I’m not worried about that at all let’s go on to the roster before the draft though and after free agency and what we were able to do obviously bringing in Odell Beckham Jr at that number two receiver position

We’re not done yet we still need to attack it quarterback we bring in Tyler Tyrod Taylor who can be the day one starter if you need be and we’re going to be we’re going to be drafting a quarterback don’t you worry offensive line bringing some much need to dep for

Injuries y’all we need to have your six seven you’re only as good as your sixth and seventh offensive lineman and then frell Brown backup tight end on the defense side of the ball uh zidus Smith can come in right away be a starter impact for them Quinton Jefferson is a

Rotational player with Zach Harrison in that pass rushan mold still need to add some help on that defensive line and then linebacker going to have to add somebody possibly in there at the late round free agency at safety we bring in Tosh Gibson also bring in some def we

Talk about with Antonio Hamilton and also Bryce Hall let’s get into the draft though it is draft time and with our first pick I’m going Jaden Daniels look I for me I have Jaden Daniels ranked in like that 10 to 15 range he probably is going to go higher than that I

Understand you may have to trade up it’s very possible that they have to package one of their third rounders or maybe a pick next year who knows but for me I think at number eight that’s where he should go I think that’s fair value so

I’m going to take him here at eight I don’t think it’s egregious I really don’t I like jayen Daniels but I feel like this is a good place for him with competent weapons a better a good offensive line you got a good defense this is a good place for him a a Young

Quarterback to thrive so I’m going Jaden Daniels at this number eight overall pick Falcon Dirty Bird of the Future Let’s Go franchise quarterback let’s hope so and then I’m going to add a weapon and Xavier worthy and some speed we got some deep speed I mean I love

Drake London The Possession ability and and what he br and obviously Odell Beckham on the outside you need to think about adding some some juice right some dynamicism and that’s what I’m going to do here with Xavier worthy receiver from Texas hookham horns then we go on to our

Next pick Rook a row row row row your boat over to Atlanta we’re going to get ourselves a pass rushing guy for the future on this defensive line and he can learn behind grd Jarrett obviously getting older and he could be a cap hit next year cuz you got to think about

That he’s getting older Etc so I mean look we’ll see how things go grd Jared should be a falcon for life but Ruka roo you got to get younger on that interior defensive line because when we saw grd Jared go down things started to decline on that interior defense line so ruk is

Going to help them out much needed on that interior defense hopefully he can be like a Kobe Turner for re Mo mores SL blast draft and maybe we can get a Byron young here too with Javon Solomon from Troy he’s a dynamic pass rusher man and he’s got good length he doesn’t have

Tremendous size or anything like that but really A guy that I just feel like he’s going to rise up after the Senior Bowl we’ll see he may even be the board at this point but definitely a got to keep a close eye out on I think he could

Be a hot Riser after the senior bow with his pass rushh ability man so much needed with zerus Smith and Arnold uchy and yeah you got something cooking hopefully there I mean I’m saying it’s not still a need maybe it’s setting up for a first round pick next year but

This is kind of we got to prioritize that quarterback position let’s go on to our fourth round pick I’m looking at the future Here Blake fiser can be a developmental right tackle and somebody that I think can have you know maybe a little higher upside as a pass protector

Okay I mean we’ll see about Cayla McGary maybe he can continue to get better there but I’m going to go ahead and at least address the position cuz look they could still you know look at the left tackle position Jake Matthews getting a little bit older too and Blake fiser

Coming out of high school played left tackle so I think that you can figure something out there just no matter what trying to address the tackle position for the future next pick here in the fifth round dayquon Hardy Penn State slot corner he gives you a little more

Depth with d Alford and at least a little more competition I feel like he be a nice scheme fit he’s a really good athlete too so somebody that can compete give you a really solid player at that slot position with the Alford and then we go on to our final pick JD Bertrand

Linebacker Notre Dame a little bit of special teams here with our sixth round pick and that’s really what this is for this team a little bit of depth too since Kaden Nell is a free agent in 2025 you know yeah take a throw at it so that

Is our draft let’s take a look at the roster post-draft post free agency what we’re able to do draft pickwise with the offense we got our quarterback hopefully of the future right fingers crossed Jaden Daniels he doesn’t have to start right away okay Tyrod Taylor can start

Maybe the first couple of weeks you get Jaden Daniels accumulated I mean I think there’s a good chance that D Daniel steps in right away I still list Tyrod because of that experience and knowhow that he might win the job early in the season and then ultimately Daniel steps

Up and maybe you know week four not even then maybe week three two or three he’s going to take over that jaw very soon and then receiver Xavier worthy got Drake London Xavier worthy Odell Beckham Jr I’m I’m hoping that’s that’s enough right Scotty Miller and Brandon Palace

Some much needed depth on this roster in special teams tight end you got Kyle Pitts fully healthy phell Brown is a backup offensive line looks good man from right left to right we got some depth we got some future needs I’m I’m hoping that that offensive line can protect your quarterback on the

Defensive line we add in men you zarius Smith going to be a huge impact for them as a pass rusher and and while he may not be a true number one he’s going to give a very high level impact as a pass rusher Arnold e Lorenzo Carter Javon

Solomon maybe DeAngelo Malone will have a breakout season under Raheem Morris I I think that’s very possible as well so I think those are your Five Guys Hing into the next season and then defensive line wise we had aruka Roo onto this defense line mainly for the future right

I think he’s a guy with a lot of upside if you can develop him and maybe be that Kobe Turner who knows like I said just adding some more juice on that defense line in youth right because I think they need some more along with Zach Harrison Quinn Jefferson as a situational player

Quarterback wise we had and dayquan Hardy and some veterans in air with Antonio Hamilton and Breece Hall to give you behind your starting cornerbacks JD Bertrand to finish this up out at the linebacker position also adding taon Gibson as your third safety to go along with dco Helms and also yet in your

Beast and you know Jesse Brown Jesse Bates who was probably the best safety this season I’m just going to say that right now Jesse PA was phenomenal man anyway that let me know what you think agree or disagree what would you do differently for the Atlanta Falcons

That’s just my Approach and and my hope we’ll see how things go B Morris I’m excited I think it’s a really good actual hire if you couldn’t get Bill bich those are really good fit especially for their defense man I think it’s going to be a perfect addition with
