What do you think should me over’s tactics would be against you’ll be late constantly on a forehand side hitting that way what a start from Coco go yet to drop a point there it is again that’s the side that you’ll find a few more errors from

Coco Golf and this is a nice little fight back from schmidova the break straight back here middle [Applause] over that’s the money shot in the back hand a nice response from Coco go the fourth seed here it was a different era of tennis now this forehand is all at se

Soid over gets the break back game it was how quickly you could make her feel that her forehand was weak [Applause] Getting through these first rounds it’s showing how difficult it is back hand’s always great we know [Applause] that it’s a little lucky but it’s a good pass watching it court side a little bit closely it’s the one that lands a little bit lower I think

For Coco where she has to really kind of accelerate and hit up on the ball that’s the one that she’s been struggling with connecting cleanly but it comes fast like that last one into her oh gets away with it again here Coco go gets there in the end Coco go had to

Struggle Midway through the set but the fourth seed has taken it in 35 minutes 6 games to three oh that’s that for when she gets on the front foot get through the ball beautifully on the attacking front foot good start to the second set just second so killing a she’s won

Two of 16 points oh touch a class from Coco gol she’s definitely feeling more confident on her ground strokes not not only her forehand but her backand also she’s not just happy to make balls back in play she’s actually taking the advantage out there and trying to early

In the rallies and that’s something that’s so important for her going forward into these later round matches is when you are playing a bigger hitter in a in a sail Lanka or rabaka you have to be willing to challenge them on that first strike tennis you have to get them

Off balance you have to get them moving early and the only way you can work on oh it’s been unrelenting pressure here from Coco go just one game away 63 big first Ser I mean anywhere from 110 to 115 milph apologies for not knowing what that is in kilom it’s around 190 k

Brilliant Coco through to the second round untroubled in the end straight sets winner 63 61 C really tighten everything up in this second set really solidifying her place

  1. bro…all she has to do is go a little more towards semi western grip and she will easily be able to hit through the ball effectively. this super western grip is clearly holding her forehand back. she's too good of a player to have such a weak stroke like that. other than a grip change, she doesn't need any additional technical adjustments on that side.

  2. Please, please! I beg Coco to change the grip on her forehand! She’s too good to have a below average forehand! I hope it was just nerves today but the forehand in this match is still a glaring problem… the top of the game would have eaten her alive if she’s hitting her forehand like that… which I’m sure she knows! And I expect it will be better for the next rounds!

  3. I think by now other players should know Coco can run, making her run should never be you only strategy if you want to stand a chance, that girl can run lol. I feel for some of this young players facing top seeds in their first round. I feel some would have stood a better chance going deeper if they got a better draw

  4. She needs Patrick in her life or she needs Serena to come be her personal coach. That forehand stroke is terrible and she could be so much better. She’s so athletic, but that looping for hand gives me so much anxiety.

  5. The forehand…it's consistently landing around the service line and can be picked apart. Definitely needs to be more penetrating on that wing.

  6. Australian Open TV, EVERY YEAR, without fail, you post these videos revealing the winner in the thumbnail. Every year your viewership complains. Yet every year, you NEVER change. I just don't get it. Why?? Why is it so hard to understand that revealing winners makes the video less attractive to sports enthusiasts? You can check most other highlights and find that they do not reveal the winner. Why are you OBSESSED with doing so?? It is very unlikely that you will change. So for those out there who want to watch without spoilers from Australian TV, go to Google ADVANCED SEARCH and on the the place where it says "None of these words", put "AUSTRALIAN OPEN TV" and none of the videos from Australian Open TV will be shown in the results. It is not perfect but what to do. Sigh.

  7. well folks coco guff has grown up, and she is understanding how to play the game of tennis.this second round was played much better than the first round.the serve was better, much improve ground strokes hitting both sides of the court and not just happy to get the ball back in the court but winning the point.she did hit the ball down the middle of the court but with more depth, but there is always room for improvement, let us see how the next round will be like.keep it up coco.l o l.

  8. Please stop posting the winner picture up. Both players pictures needs to be on the Thumbnail that may increase the view. When someone already know who win they may not watch. Just a friendly suggestion. The next Goat in actions. Awesome job Coco.

  9. I think now that the 1st round is done, the nerves will subside a little bit. If she plays her very best tennis, she will surely make it to the QFs if not take home the trophy!
