And I understand she hasn’t played as well as she would have liked today but you know that body language says a lot idia Co was in this bunker at the 11th put away we Tred hit a similar shot to what we saw from Lydia even better

Yeah so that’s going to be a three for the Japanese star she’ll remain at eight under par did you learn a thing or two out there Tom I did I mean I learned that Lydia hits it a lot further than you think she’s very sneaky long yeah

Starts to try and get some of the confidence back with this putter yeah good now yeah yeah I agree there’s still a long way to go here she can make a few birdies [Applause] and here is Lydia from the bunker that we mentioned a little bit easier angle I

Think Tom a little bit more below the hole than where Lexi [Applause] was yeah get up and down didn’t play that hole particularly well missing the Fairway in the uh coina and then missing it in the bunker but walks away with a four Nelly for birdie at 12

That was from as good a spot as any confused that that one went to the right there Karen how much do you think those early misses may have impacted her today I I think any every day every day that you play the first couple holes are important I think the very first putt

That you hit on a day is importance it can start your day off on the right foot or potentially the wrong foot have a chance to maybe chip this one in for a birdie back up the hill sounded a bit chunky there Tom it’s one of the things she said she worked a

Lot on this winter was her short game around the greens this is a player who’s not won as many events on the LPGA Tour as than maybe she should have done with her skill and her Talent she’s certainly been close the 127 is the actual total

Rocket look at you can see the hole doesn’t even look like the flag doesn’t even look like it’s on the green it’s on a tiny Peninsula on that back left there come up a little bit short there an awkward pot up and over a ridge with a couple of different breakes and

There you see just how fast the green is that that the last 5 years or so and they did great work here with the greens China’s shiu LIN number 11 in the world for birdie at 14 just a moment ago she you a rare birdie at 14 only the fourth of the day

This hole is playing more like a par five today a really solid tput from the front of this green left herself in a tough spot but when you make those five and six Footers she’s working with a coach who does not live in the US usually she has

Somebody who uh close by that she can go and see in person when she needs the work but they’ve been working with sending vide of her swings and chatting on the phone and by a video chat to work on her game and seems to be fine this

Modern Way of working with a coach and that flag is perched high on that top left Plateau go long and it’s tough go in that front bunker and it’s tough and I think that’s probably the safest smartest play there that’s the best leave you don’t want to get too

Aggressive we saw what happens when you get too aggressive like Lydia did you can end up this is the second shot to the par five 17th for Lexi Thompson Lexi did get it to a couple under for the round but drop shots at 13 and

14 chance to get two back here what a shot from Lexi a big chunk of the hole at 14 this the comebacker for par yeah 143rd on the lpj and Eagles M just one Lydia second at 16 this is the part that Lexi just nearly made same for

Lydia I’m trying still trying to figure out how that didn’t go in there Grant either one and it seems like the struggles are little less har but this is a tough part got a lot of break to it she had it she just needed a fraction more pace

Difficult part as you say no trouble and Nelly will stay at 10 under par leading the way [Applause] Yes that is going to go with a just a small seven just a smooth one tough angle there from that left side to get it anywhere close to that whole location not surprised to see her air to the right side that’s the putt that we’ve very similar putts but we’ve

Nearly seen both Lexi and Lydia scare the hole Victory drought say young Kim is one of them and she’s going to be in position tomorrow here’s her second at 18 yeah even better position it’s going to be a short putt for berie to get her into a share of it back downhill here

Morgan yeah it’s a bit of a squirly lie there in that Bermuda grass tough to judge exactly how it’s going to come out easy to get the grass in between the ball still like everybody else having to get the ball in the hole that was good she’s held feels like

She’s turned the corner yeah I agree she’s held it together that looked like a complete misread there looked like she was set up left Tom and the putt broke left yeah rare misjudgment from Lydia Co of the way she’s been putting over the last couple of

Weeks was a little bit of grass behind the ball I had to turn away the sand in her face she’ll like it when she sees it yeah wonderfully done there especially ending up so so close to that back lip but just tough to get the ball close about halfway through this green

Everything slopes Away really have to land it just on top of that Hill okay makes her home here in Florida the Orlando area and she owns some properties one of which is rented by her countrywoman roning Yin Nelly CA third at the par five 17th she’s on an up

Slope but she’s going to land it on a down slope on the grin and let it release to the Hle it’s releasing it’s in Nelly Corda an eagle three at 1 had them go off both one and 10 be distracted by something behind her there it’s going to be that difficult up and then back downhill put set up a little open here with her feet

A that landed in a just didn’t get enough I thought that would creep over that hill and be in tight like we saw from SE young Kim it’s very difficult to zero in on exactly where the flag is on the greens because of the spectators behind and the other

Flags it’s perched up on that left side and came out the other end this part’s going to break a little to the right off that slope for a four shot lead why not finishing with a flourish Eagle birdie and it’s Nelly by four I mean just a fabulous finish for

Nelly she can smile look shake your head what a crazy game
