Michael first off 18 Eagle on 18 walk us through that yeah um you know I had driver a good dri and a decent three to the right bunker um I’m sure I’ve hit that shot in the past before um and I actually think it’s my um first eagle ever on 18 um
Back when I played here as a kid I don’t think I was able to reach it in two so um yeah um hit a really nice bunker shot came off a little faster than I than I really wanted but um hit the pin and went in for a nice Eagle where does that
Rank on your your PGA Tour moments and shots h i mean it’s definitely at least top five um yeah I mean that was uh that was a cool moment for sure obviously you just finished the round but can you put in perspective a little bit to be in
This position in this tournament in your hometown yeah you know I’ve um been close to the lead after even after Saturday a couple times coming in um here um at this event and anytime I’m you know near the lead at at this course it’s uh it’s an awesome feeling and then
Thoughts we know the depths your game sunk to and how hard you work to regain it Redemption how’s it feel personally to be back in this position after where you were yeah it a lot of gratitude um I was I wasn’t sure that if I ever was
Going to be back to this place and uh playing well and U Got to Give a lot credit to my coach Sean Foley for helping me get back here and U hopefully I can keep it going for the next two days speaking that mindset Outlook as you look towards the weekend South
Course what do you foresee what do you need to do to play well continue to play well yeah just keep doing what I’ve been doing I’m I hit it really well today um just didn’t get a just had to um get a few more putts to go in um otherwise it
Was it was a really really good round and uh you know if I if I I know if I keep hitting the way I am I’ll be right up there um at the weekend thanks man yep thank you
