>> Mike: COMING UP AGE THE GAME, THE POSTGAME SHOW. MELISSA WILL INTERVIEW THE STARS OF THE GAME. THE WINNER OF THIS GAME PLAY SAN FRANCISCO. RAMS HAVE ONE TIME-OUT LEFT AND SECOND AND NINE FOR JARED GOFF AND THE LIONS. GOFF WILL THROW AND IT’S CAUGHT

BY ST. BROWN FOR A FIRST DOWN! TIME-OUT, RAMS. 1:52 TO GO. GAME IS NOT OVER YET! BUT IT’S VERY, VERY CLOSE. >> Cris: FIRST OF ALL, GUTSY CALL HERE! WHO IS SURPRISED BY IT WITH DAN CAMPBELL, RIGHT? UNBELIEVABLE BUT THAT ROUTE WAS A LITTLE SLICE OF BRILLIANCE

RIGHT THERE BY ST. BROWN. AT THE VERY END OF THE ROUTE, HE WENT IN TO THE DEFENDER TO ALMOST GAIN REBOUND POSITION AND COME BACK TO THE BALL AND, MAN, I TELL YOU WHAT, WHEN YOU’RE A HEAD COACH WHO BELIEVES IN YOUR ABILITY TO MAKE THAT PASS ALL

THE THINGS THAT DAN CAMPBELL HAS DONE TO BUILD JARED GOFF’S CONFIDENCE, WHEN HE CAME OUT IN THAT MOMENT, NO, WE ARE NOT RUNNING IT TWICE AND PUNTING IT. I’M PUTTING IT IN MY QUARTERBACK’S HANDS. HE IS READY FOR THAT MOMENT AND HE GOT IT DONE.

>> Mike: ALL OF THE LIONS HAVE TO DO IT TAKE CARE OF THE BALL HERE AND THEY WILL WIN A PLAYOFF GAME. GOFF TO A KNEE. AND TO A VERY IMPORTANT PLACE FOR HIM. YEAH, YOU SEE A FEW TEARS IN THERE FROM THOSE FOLKS.

>> Cris: MIKE, YOU LIVE IN THIS AREA. GIVE ME SOME IDEA WHAT THIS IS. >> Mike: A TURNAROUND HERE. S.O.L. SAME OLD LIONS. THEY ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO SCREW IT UP. AND DAN CAMPBELL CHANGED THAT MENTALITY, CHANGED THAT WITH THE PEOPLE HE BROUGHT IN.

THEY HAVE LOST THEIR LAST NINE PLAYOFF APPEARANCES AND IT’S A TEAM THAT BELIEVES IN THEMSELVES AND THEY DIDN’T HAVE A GREAT SECOND HALF, BUT THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE NIGHTS IN DETROIT FOOTBALL FOR THAT 89-YEAR-OLD AND THE 62,000 OTHERS HERE.

ONE MORE KNEE AND BUSINESS IS DONE. AND DETROIT, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 32 YEARS, YOUR LIONS HAVE WON A PLAYOFF GAME. HAVE AT IT! THEY ALSO END THE LONGEST DROUGHT OF NINE CONSECUTIVE PLAYOFF LOSSES. JANUARY 5th, 1992 WAS THE LAST TIME THE LIONS WON A PLAYOFF

GAME. >> Cris: AND GUESS WHAT. THEY GOING TO GET ANOTHER ONE HERE NEXT WEEK. >> Mike: RUN IT BACK. IT’S JANUARY 14th IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE CHRISTMAS DAY AND NEW YEAR’S EVE ALL ROLLED IN TO ONE. >> Cris: DAN CAMPBELL WILLED THIS FOOTBALL TEAM TO VICTORY.

JARED GOFF, FROM THE OPENING PLAY TONIGHT, WAS ON IT. HE WAS CONFIDENT. HE BELIEVES IN HIMSELF. AND THE WHOLE RESTRUCTURE OF WHAT JARED GOFF WAS AS A QUARTERBACK. IT TOOK THREE YEARS TO GET TO THIS POINT TO BUILD HIM BACK UP, HAS PAID ONE OF THE GREAT

DIVIDENDS IN DETROIT HISTORY. >> Mike: THE SECOND TO LAST HUG WAS WITH JAKE McQUAIDE. THERE IS REGGIE SCOTT AS WELL. THEY WILL COME BACK HERE AND PLAY A REGULAR SEASON GAME NEXT YEAR. BUT MATTHEW STAFFO

  1. I've always rooted for the underdog. I became a Lions fan because they were widely considered "the worst team" when I was a kid. I was there when they went 0-16 which only solidified the negative stigma this team had. Everyone made jokes about them, including myself, but I stuck with them year after year. To see their growth over time and it finally paying off with their first playoff win in decades (since before I was born) is an incredible feeling. Now I'm hoping to see them go all the way to the Super Bowl!

  2. “Game is not over yet but it’s very very close” Uhh, no Mike, the game is over. Can this guy not do simple math?

  3. So happy for the Lions. This team has been a long suffering franchise. Now they got a chance to do something special. Congratulations Detroit and best of luck for the remainder of the postseason.

  4. As a Raider fan whos never seen em win a bowl i can relate to this im waiting for our moment also im rooting for you detroit go win one for the underdawgs and those fans that been riding thru thick and thin happy for the fans. Mann 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  5. I'll be 42 in a couple weeks. I remember watching their last playoff victory. This moment is the only reason I still watch the NFL

  6. Felt bad for Detroit for years never had any luck! Enjoy this season guys your playing with nothing to lose routing for you all the way hope your names on the Lombardi !!!

  7. As a bengals fan, I'm so happy for you lions fans. All the suffering all of you endured for decades, finally ends that night. I know this feeling very well. Go get em next Sunday. This night is yours lions fans

  8. Not a sports fan myself, but I do respect fans of teams like the Lions or Browns. People wearing those colors and jerseys are real, not a fair weather fan among them.

  9. Someone said in Arizona the Detroit Lions were the worst team in the NFL well they just beat the Raiders and and Rams in the playoffs.

  10. In a perfect universe, each team would win 1 super bowl every 32 years, which is 3-4 playoff wins in a row. Detroit took that long for a single win. I can't imagine how hyped those fans are after having to wait so long. And kudos to Jared Goff and MCDC, who it seemed like very few people believed in just a couple of years ago.

  11. I was rooting for the Lions until I saw more of Kerby Joseph's dirty hits! Not only THAT, but then the coach said that's how he teaches him? TWO dirtbags.

  12. 3 late hits in stafford and NONE of them got called and got a concussion as a result.
Missed false start early in the 3rd resulting in a punt return.
    Missed intentional grounding 8:05 3rd
    Improper holding call 4:17 4th
Missed holding on Nacua 4:15 4th

It's so obvious that the refs were biased
towards the home team they got tired of regulating the Pistons games 😂

  13. "It's that quarterback's town now. It's Jared Goff's town."

I've never seen an entire stadium get so loud chanting someone's name. They showed Goff it's not like how it was when he was in LA. You're wanted in here. We believe in you. Show them how much you've grown.

  14. As a Chicago Bears fan since my baby years, I cried, and i mean CRIED for the Lions, something i have never done for any team other than mine. Congrats to the little bros in the North.

  15. I'm an 88 year old Titanic disaster survivor, and I have been waiting 90 years for this moment. Detroit lost their first playoff game a few months after I sat freezing in that lifeboat, and I knew this day would one day come. Thank you for your service Jared Leto I salute you

  16. I'm not a Lions fan, but I'm starting to become one. They are the team that I want to succeed the most this postseason.

  17. I don't divulge in conspiracy theories, but I find it odd that Detroit beats the guy who was supposed to break Bobby Laynes curse? Maybe we misinterpreted the scrolls of the ancient text. 😂

  18. Easily, The 2 Greatest Playoff Games in Detroit Lions History:

    Cowboys @ Lions, 1991
    First Playoff Win Since 1957
    Pontiac Silverdome

    Rams @ Lions, 2023
    Second Playoff Win Since 1991
    Ford Field

  19. Soooo, the guy in the stands they showed who was crying. Some people talking during the week about how fans crying is ridiculous and over the top. His story is that he and his Dad were at the previous playoff win in 1992, but the Dad passed away not too long after when he was 14 and was buried in his Detroit Lions jacket, and now here the guy is seeing them win again and thinking how much his Dad would have loved it. One Pride. Go Lions! 🦁💙🤍

  20. This Raider has his whole heart in it for the Lions!!! Go get those rings boys! The Lombardi is yours for the taking!!!
