End of the season trip to the Hanwha Eagles Fan Fest.

First time in 6 years that they were able to hold a fan fest and the first one I have attended since 2015. Lots of activities and a great way to see the players outside of the stadium enjoying themselves and also out of their comfort zones.

Welcome back everybody to another episode of  DreadsROKTV. Today we’re going to be taking this 1,000 won and using that to get into the Dokma Universe. Or the Hanwha Eagles Doksurihanmadang. Or in English, the Hanwha Eagles FanFest. Now the fan fest is a time at the end of the season,

After the whole season is over for the players and the fans to interact and mingle together in a non pressure environment. I have been to one of these before, in 2015. Unfortunately, I had just moved here the prior year, so my Korean was not very good. I could watch and kind of understand what was going on

And the best way to sum it up is, it’s kind of like a high school talent show. All the players get up, they sing, they dance, they interact with fans. Some of the fans come up for the games,

But it’s just a really low pressure environment that the fans and the players get to hang out together in. So the only way that we can find anything more about it, is to go check it out. Let’s go. All right we are here at the Daejeon Convention Center.

Now we just got to navigate a ridiculously long line in order  to get in and then we’ll see what they have. All right so just a bunch of different little events. Here you can get a mango juice, I think. And then here you can get a Monster and take some selfies.

It’s time for the opening act. Lee TaeYang: We have Roh SiHwan next to us… So here you have your special reporter, Lee TaeYang, asking Roh SiHwan some fan questions that were sent in. Also have Kim Bumsu showing that he probably has the best fan service it seems like.

Kim Bumsu giving back to the fans here. Now in true Korean fashion you have to have something dealing with MBTI. We’ll see what the games are. So the first game here is kind of to see what a picture of someone. And you know Winnie, in his true mishap fashion.

So you look at a picture and you say who the celebrity is. Next up we have “Name That Tune.” Now we got kind of a True/False lie detector thing going on. I’m not exactly entirely sure. Round five is just a game of Tetris. And if you’re wondering what happened to round one,

Round one was this beauty, Where they had to come up with a “Reel.” And everybody wants to see that live, in person. It was not just all games and Roh SiHwan was not the only one that sang. There were other players that also got up on the stage and sang for everybody.

And to close it all out, a very special DJ. So the only thing left is really to go through this big long line   and get some autographs. I did bring some baseballs. This is the first time I have ever actually asked a player for an autograph.

Whenever I came in 2015, I just went home beause I was tired at this point. Let’s stand in the line and uh get some autographs Me: Thank you Me: Thank you Me: Thank you Me: Thank you Kim BumSu: Nice to meet you Kim BumSu: What do you do?

Me: Huh? (I could’t hear him) Hong Changhwa: What is your job? Me: I teach English Me: I work at a kindergarten, Kim Bumsu: Good job. Me: so I get done early. Me: Thank you All right guys, there you have it, the 2023 Dokma Universe, Hanwha Eagles Doksurihanmadang or The Hanwha Eagles FanFest.

Whatever you want to call it. All done. Lots of stuff going on. Lots of good times. Lots of jokes. Lots of things that I was actually able to understand about 60% this time. Thankfully my Korean has gotten better. Still working on it, but lots of things going on. Lots of fun all day.

Only a thousand won, plus you know, the cost of a season ticket. But pretty good time. All that’s left is to take these baseballs and get them in some cases
