We’re good to go y all right I’d like to welcome uh Min will Le into the uh interview room here at the 2024 American Express Mino um it’s your first start of the Season uh your first start here at the AMX and your first start as a a full

Member of the PGA Tour so what uh what’s it like having all these firsts but also what’s your first impression of uh these three golf courses yeah um amazing I mean the weather’s unbelievable and it’s it’s my first time in America um this time of the year which is which is weird

I guess but um you know I was in Vancouver last last week and I saw snow for the first time outside the car so uh that was pretty cool normally I’m in Australia or Dubai where it’s 100° so uh it’s quite nice to I guess see a white

Christmas um and uh no um I’m really excited this week’s going to be fun uh I know it’s a lot I know it’s there’s a lot of birdies and uh the scoring is really low so um it’s I guess it’s a nice easer in a way um but you still got

To play play really well and um hit your drive drives well and wedge it close so um like John Ram said it’s a putting contest and uh yeah if you get on the green hopefully you hold some putts just curious about your practice uh leading

Into it have you managed to see all the golf courses or um you know spend any time yeah more um yeah I I I drove around uh linta and um I played 18 holes today uh at the The Stadium Course um and played nine at the Nicholas course

And drove around the other one so uh yeah courses are awesome in good conditions and greens are unbelievable and just before we take some questions um you won a Macau in uh October W again in Australia back back home for you uh later in the year in December um so you

You’re on a pretty good role and you must be pretty excited about coming in here and starting the season AR fresh after two victories yeah for sure I mean um similar like lots of birdies uh M you know I had 30 30 under so it was a it

Was a course where you could really get it um go for it and yeah hopefully it’s quite similar and um yeah I’m again I’m really excited to have my first year out here and especially uh live in America which is which is awesome great all right we’ll take a question from Larry

To start with and we’ll go to you next um so the idea that you may have to go 25 or 26 under here to to be in the top five even uh doesn’t scare you at all uh no I mean I’m I’m playing good

Golf right now and uh it is I mean I guess it’s scary if you said you you’ve come fifth shooting 25 under that’s you know that’s when you know that these guys are good and uh you can go out there and and shoot slide out so uh it’s not scary scary

Um no it’s not scary it’s it’s going to be fun so when you show up to a golf course you’ve never seen before or three I mean is there a specific them that you look at is it where do I drive the ball first what are the green

Complexes like something yeah uh I guess the great thing is that the the course isn’t that tight um pretty wide Fairways I feel like and you can you know if you hit the Fairway you can really attack the greens uh and pins but um yeah it’s

It’s just yeah I guess you got to go out there and not expect too much um yes you want to shoot 30 under but again golf is Golf and you still got to hit look go towards your next ball and try to hit that as best as you can you did play

Very well at the end of 23 mhm um does that carry over to a new year or do you just think this is the 13th month of 2023 uh we’ll see I mean um I’m relatively pretty good after a break um usually you know I’m I’m fine

With you know putting putting down the clubs for a little bit and then coming back pretty fresh so um it’s not like a couple other guys where they have to keep grinding and uh not take too much time off so I guess it’s a I guess it’s

A plus for me a little bit but no I mean yeah excited for the week and yeah yeah hopefully the weather’s weather holds go across the pole hey um last year at the Players was probably when the larger American Golf audience kind of first was introduced to you

Since that moment how has life changed for you in terms of notoriety and just how things have progressed since then yeah um always talk about the players and that final round uh I think that’s when I you know really got exposed to the American audience and uh um it was

Amazing I mean that’s yeah I always look back at it um yes I wish I could have played a little bit better but also you know made made the most of it um and you know looking back at photos that was a really special time there was hundreds

Of people you know on 17 18 watching me and uh yeah it was amazing um social media’s obviously blown up um probably got I don’t know 250,000 people on Instagram from that since that time and uh you know been have a good media team

Um thanks to the PJ tour and uh Jake and Muhammad for cooking up some videos and making me look good and uh um yeah that’s been that’s been a very good bonus and a fun time for me and uh I’ve always kind of liked doing social media

So it’s it’s quite it’s quite fun um and also you know deals like Lululemon and stuff like that it always all comes with it so um very exciting very cool I was going to ask about Lulu obviously being the first male golfer kind of be in the

Face of the at least their male golf division how did that come about was that kind of a brand you wanted to work with kind of take us through that yeah for sure I mean I mean a lot of people start like people wearing Lululemon and

Um it kind of caught on to me you know six months to a year ago that it started to you know be big in the golfing industry um yeah just playing with playing partners and Friends uh they were all wearing it and uh it kind of

Rose to my attention and uh yeah my deal was ending last you know end of last year so um manager Brent got talking to to the guys at Lula lemon and uh yeah I mean it’s exciting it’s one of the biggest companies in the world and uh I

Get to be you know some part of the designing process of it which is incredible you know I still think I’m I’m a little kid from Perth you know just playing golf so uh it’s it’s very cool to you know be be there last week in Vancouver and um talk with the

Designing team and everyone there so uh it’s very cool do you take sty inspiration from your fellow Australian Adam Scott or anything oh of course I mean he whatever he we he wears it’s uh it would look good he’s a good-look guy and uh he’s um yeah I mean he’s

Yeah he’s he’s a good role model for golf and for Australian Golf and you know I look up to him still and uh it’s cool to have him as a friend do you think you’ll do anything with Lydia I know she’s on the women’s side of the Lululemon partnership just kind of no

She’s not with them she’s not with him but no um and then one other um one other on Pebble I believe that’s where you made your uh Pro debut or your PJ tour debut a couple years back I’m not currently in that event but what this

Week a good finish what could that mean kind of do you have your eye on hopefully making it back there again yeah um unfortunately I’ve got my um manager’s wedding uh he’s right behind you so um I would have to uh do that hopefully I play good enough that my

Ranking might be 31 so I don’t feel too bad about it um but yeah I mean um hopefully I can get into Riv the next uh the next elevated event and um crush it there uh but you know to start out the year these two waste um and hopefully

Riv if I play well um it’ll be a good start to the year is getting into those Signature Events a priority goal for you yeah for sure I mean playing good golf obviously will be the priority and um that will be a bonus if I can get them

But you know I’m pretty pretty happy and grateful that I’m already here um and playing on the PJ tour in in in events like these and uh yeah I mean it’s nice to have a I guess tool card out here and uh yeah hopefully I can get into some of

Those um top top elevated events and uh play with the best and uh yeah I’ll strive towards that okay uh M we just um have you set up I’m imagining you spent a bit of time back in Australia after you won there and spent some time over Christmas with the family what was

That like what did you get up to and also coming here this year as a full member have you set up a base here or do you intend to do that yeah uh when I was in Australia had probably a month off um 3 weeks off uh

Did a bit of camping which was awesome in esperence uh with my friend good friend Zach and his family and um not a thing where I do a lot but I’ve been i’ I’ve done it last couple years and it’s amazing you know Off the Grid no cell

Phones and uh yeah you know I’m people that know me I’m on my phone pretty much a lot 24/7 so uh it’s it’s nice to um chill out and relax and have some downtime uh but yeah it was good 3 weeks in Australia good weather it wasn’t too

Hot actually so um yeah couldn’t have asked more what about as far as a base here in the United States yeah um I’m going to stay with good friend Kurt Kama uh he lives in Vegas so I’ll stay there for the first little bit until K he

Kicks me out so um hopefully a little a little longer than I expect and when you go camping what’s your expertise do you are you best at starting f what do you excel at when you go no I’m um the boys get their hands dirty and I

Just uh I just do the easy stuff um It’s You Know hands are precious so I can’t hurt him Paul do you have another yeah more um it was kind of back to the question I was asking about players and kind of your star Rising um how has it been just

Managing having to do things like this having to do different you know a lot of people want your attention or want to be you know associated with you how have you kind of managed that part but also kind of staying true to making sure gol

Um I guess that’s why we have a manager he can he can do the dirty work for me and say no to people that um would want to talk to me but um on the social media side a lot of people you know still like message me and sometimes I get back to

Them sometimes I don’t but um yeah I mean I I try to be as real as I can on social media and try to have some fun uh I’m pretty yeah I’m pretty real and I don’t shy away from you know I don’t fake it I guess so uh yeah I mean social

Media is cool and everyone I guess if they do want a piece of piece of me or they want to talk to me our manager goes through it normally final question you’re ready to cook this week yes ready to cook um hopefully oh hopefully I’ll be looking
