Important because he’s gone I’m saying I have no idea and neither do you neither do any of us we’re talking about the assistant general manager I don’t know how important he was so I don’t really know how to feel right now yeah I have really not much to add to this I mean

It’s never a good thing to lose someone I feel especially if another team values what he’s been doing and they feel he deserves to be promoted that means they must feel like he’s done a really good job right or else they would not want to give this guy a higher position so that

Means that a talented person from our the 49ers management team is leaving that’s never a good thing but it doesn’t mean he his shoes can’t be filled um we don’t know exactly what he’s done or not done and the whole thing is just like more confusing to me on the commander

Side I don’t really get what they’re doing also never use the word tentacles again because that was disgusting why what you mean there are that was just so weird it was just very weird and I did not like it it was gross oh you didn’t like the little hand motion that I did

With it too huh the whole thing was just icky it was icky so there’s a lot here to unpack because the thinking in San Francisco had been for years that John Lynch was going to return to TV and then Adam Peters is going to just step up and

Take the job and we even saw John Lynch get an extension this year and they gave him another title like head of football operations president of football operations whatever it was and so that was sort of the thinking was that they would promote John Lynch to this title

They would make Adam Peters the GM and even if Lynch did stay on that’s how they would sort of coexist but then we got news of the John Lynch contract extension we got news a month later that he got the new puffy title and then there was nothing like they could have

Promoted Adam Peters at that point and made him the general manager at that point and they didn’t and it seems weird to me that that didn’t happen what is the point of giving John Lynch this new fruit frof title if you’re not going to if there are no Ripple effects down the

Line so I almost wonder if like something changed oh it appears we lost Michelle maybe she’ll hop back in in a second um I almost wonder if something changed with Adam Peters what was that the plan and then it somehow became not the plan don’t know

But it seems weird that John Lynch would get this new title and that nothing else would happen in The Scouting Department there would be no ripples Michelle is back Michelle I lost you yeah my electricity went out it is insanely windy in Houston I’m on my personal

Director of scouting for the 49ers I think today a great day for Tariq mod because either he leaves with Adam Peters which is something we don’t know we don’t know who Peters is GNA take with him but either he leaves with Adam Peters and gets a promotion or he stays

With the 49ers becomes the new number two behind John Lynch and gets a promotion that’s a pretty good position to be in I think that’s probably the biggest worry right now is that Adam Peters takes a bunch of people a bunch of talented people people in the in the

Offices that that could affect the 49ers but at the same time P don’t really care right now right we’re headed into the playoffs this the GM the assistant DM does not matter in terms of this playoff run just win let’s win the Super Bowl and then we can worry about how this

Affects the draft after that 100% you’re right that you know they have bigger fish to fry right now I agree and that’s clearly the number one goal for the 49ers and that was something we were going to talk about sort of how like you know locked in they are and all that

Stuff and we’ll get to that but I have one more point to make on this and it’s something that I don’t think people necessarily know and again none of this is to minimize Adam Peters he could be the greatest Scout and and GM I I don’t

Know but I will just say this this is what I have learned in my 15 years in the sports media business a lot of the guys that get hyped particularly in roles like this head coaching roles front office roles they get hyped because they get pushed by insiders into

Business and the reason they get pushed by insiders into business is because they have been sources for those insiders for a very long time so basically it goes like this right insiders form relationships with people working inside organizations those people feed the Insiders s stories and information over the years for a long

Period of time and then when when it becomes time for the hiring Cycles the Insiders can throw out some tweets and talk about it on interviews and say Hey you know who’s getting a lot of buzz in League circles Adam Peters or Josh McDaniels there was so much Buzz for

Josh McDaniels how was he as a head coach he was buns okay so and again I’m not saying that Adam Peters isn’t good at his job all I’m saying is the buzz like Adam Peters is so good and so valuable all that’s coming from is the

Insiders is the media and so a lot of times I’m saying there’s a reason that that stuff happens I’m not saying it’s what’s happening here I’m just throwing it out there so people know so you’re you’re saying it’s all about playing the game and it’s not so much about the

Talent of where you are that’s in all business aspects right I mean how much of it is making those connections with your bosses or your boss’s bosses like it so much of everything comes down to human connections and it’s just the way life works and maybe it’s not fair but

You talking about maybe Martin Mayu would come back and be yes uh the assistant GM maybe but I mean his picks in uh with the commanders have been pretty brutal especially those first rounders Emanuel forbs Forbes this year is like the worst pick ever you took a

160 pound corner and you we’re like yeah we’ll put him out on the field and uh cover these like great wide receivers he got murdered all year long absolutely slaughtered because he’s smaller than me so we don’t know what’s gonna happen we don’t know what’s first of all Mayu may

Stay in Washington we have no idea we don’t know what the Ripple effects are going to be with this uh on the 49ers whether Tariq mod will get promoted we have no idea how any of that’s going to work but as you said Michelle we have bigger fish to fry okay

Because the 49ers are in the playoffs and they are loaded up they are locked and loaded and ready and I loved some of the things that we were hearing from the Niners yesterday at the podium one of which came from George KD who basically like he laid it out yesterday like kind

Of no if ANS or butts about it these guys are locked in here’s KD we have great weapons I think everyone’s playing at a really high level and like everyone is very dialed into the sense of urgency like you really you feel that in the building like everyone just has this

Unique focus and I know one thing I I respect about our team is I look around the league and like I see other locker rooms after games and people you know a lot of music cheering and all that stuff after games which I totally respect and

I love that energy ours just kind of feels like hey we won what’s the next week what is the next job what is the next mission what is the next thing that we’re going to attack and I feel like that’s just a sense of urgency like you

Yesterday talked about the scars of the playoff loss and how he can still picture the confetti falling down in Philadelphia and picture the Eagles in their shirts the conference Champion shirts and see all that and he talked about the desire of wanting to get back to that moment they have so many guys

That have that hunger and that fire in their belly that I think it’s going to serve him well and there I mean in terms of playoff experience God you don’t get more playoff experience in this freaking 49ers roster it’s literally crazy they’re two games away from that two

Wins away from that feeling home win and the the first win I mean we’ll get into all that should be pretty easy no matter who it is so it’s really there’s just that one game away where it really feels like where they can make up for what happened last year when we all

Felt so defeated I mean it was just one of the worst feelings watching a game knowing there’s zero chance to win this game once Brock pie went down and they just didn’t have any quarterback even with even when Josh Johnson was other there I mean it was just miserable but

The all pro team is that they pick one or two people from each position that are the best in the league it is the more prestigious award in the Pro Bowl the Pro Bowl is a joke everybody gets into the Pro Bowl the All Pro separates

The men from the boys so to speak and the Niners have five First Team all Pros it is pretty crazy that you can get second Team all pro and nobody’s going to remember that a few years from now nobody cares about your second Team all proo like Awards or whatever they’re

Called um votes but first team All Pro do you know that there was only three players that received unanimous votes at their position for All Pro I did not so it was Christian mcaffrey Fred Warner and Tyreek Hill so the 49ers had two of the three unanimous players for First

Team all pro it just goes to show how stacked this freaking roster is and how many guys they’ve had that have played well by the way the first team all Pros I don’t think I mentioned this so shame on me I should actually mention who they are Christian mcaffrey Kyle yusek George

KD Trent Williams and Fred Warner were the first team all Pros the second Team all Pros were Brandon auk and Mooney Ward which I I feel bad for Mooney Ward because he’s played really well this year um but when you see that the first team all Pros were s Gardner and Duron

Bland you kind of understand why Mooney is second team I will ask I didn’t know so in the tweet I saw Brandon auk and Mike Evans had the aster next to their names for second team what does that mean because the first two players did

Not on the second team oh I don’t know as mean I have no idea because it couldn’t be like Replacements it’s not like the Pro Bowl where you have to play anything or so I I was just I didn’t know what the asteris meant there is no

Like game that has to be played so you don’t have to worry about injury or anything like that um I have no idea I’ll try to find out but yeah those are the all probos for the 49ers it’s absurd to have that many think about it this

Team has five guys that the league or the the writers you know are saying are Undisputed best at their position that is crazy to me that that does not happen very often and it’s a testament to since we talked about it before Adam Peters and John Lynch and Kyle shannan and the

49ers it’s just weird that they’re Pro so the only two teams they cannot possibly face right in the division round are the Cowboys and the Lions so anybody else so they could face it just depends on how these games go so it could be the Buccaneers the Eagles the

Rams or the Packers it’s kind of crazy that the 49ers probably best bet probably what you’re rooting for is that for the Cowboys and the Lions to win the number two and number three seed which you would never be typically rooting for that but in that case they would face

The winner of the Eagles or the Buccaneers and I think by far those two are the weakest teams among the four of the Rams Packers Eagles and Buccaneers I would agree with you I think that’s 100% accurate every time I look at the playoffs I’m likei want this team to win and this

Team and this team so the 49ers play him and then two hours later I’m like no I want this team to win in this team so then the 49ers play him like I don’t I think the Niners are going to kick the hell out of anybody they play

Next week but who I want them to play specifically changes like hour to hour for me yeah it’s so these are the scenarios I’m sure a lot of you know but just in case you don’t so if the Cowboys and Lions win like I brought up the 49ers

Will face the winner of the Buccaneers Eagles love that for them if the Rams win and the Packers lose they will face the Rams I think that’s probably the worst case scenario but still the 49ers should be able to handle their business if the Packers win they will face the

Packers no matter what doesn’t matter what else happens now the Packers face the Cowboys what are your thoughts on that game do you even give the Packers a shot in Dallas I give them a shot because Jordan love is like I think he’s really good you know he’s got like when

You’ve got a quarterback that can make other worldly type throws and plays you can beat anybody if that guy goes god mode the problem is the Packers defense is awful like I don’t know that the Packer I literally checked before we went on the air I was like can I bet on

Dallas not punting in the game you can’t unfortunately like I think the Cowboys are G to score 40 on them especially because Dallas is at home that’s part of it too so while I do think the Packers it’s not entirely out of the question

That they win or at least put up a good fight I just don’t know that Jordan love is going to be able to be that good for that long against that defense in order to keep up with Dak in the Cowboys offense it is kind of crazy that Jordan

Love is the second highest pass touchdown guy in the League this year behind Dak Prescot so we have the top two passing touchdown leaders in the NFL playing this game who would have thought with Jordan love and it doesn’t feel that way right like with Dak Prescott

You’re like yeah he killed it Jordan lovey had a very like a slow start the first half of the year was kind of miserable for him he was getting touchdowns the beginning the year but it just like they were just kind of gross uh but he’s definitely coming to his own

I have to give him credit for that he’s playing with all the these young ends I mean pretty much I think all but one touchdown of his this year went to a player that’s in his first or second year in the NFL isn’t that crazy yeah that’s wild yeah obviously

Broke a record for that because that’s never like that is such a crazy stat they’re so incredibly young so I I actually do take a back uh I don’t think the best case scenario for the 49ers is that the Cowboys and lions both win I do think the the Cowboys losing to the

Packers would be by far the best case scenario right because you knock out the cowboys that would be awesome and then the 49ers play the Packers and when it comes to the Packers or the Eagles I would still much rather play the Packers than the Eagles yeah because the Eagles

Have a better roster than the Packers but I did see this uh actually Michelle just as we were talking here I was you know scanning Twitter and I see this from our friend Chase senior who made an interesting little observation that I’m pulling up on the screen AJ Brown has

Apparently scrubbed his Instagram of all Eagles related posts so dramatic I don’t know what is going on with the Eagles but clearly something is funky in Philly like you know what I said you know what I said earlier today on my locked on podcast uh for our fan F podcast that we

Haven’t gotten the results back from AJ Brown’s MRI it’s because it showed a bruised ego and no injury whatsoever uh he went down after fumbling and he acted like it was the biggest injury of his entire life and then he was just fine afterwards and he

Was just in street clothes and like what is this Silence with this injury there’s nothing that’s come out about what this injury is he’s supposed to do an MRI but where where’s the results like what is it and I will izee if it comes out that he tore something or something happened

But it just seemed like a super fake injury in my mind I don’t know right away it seemed really like okay you fumbled the ball and you’re embarrassed and that’s what it come down to and he’s clearly going through something with this team this team is in shambles the

Eagles are in sham and I’ll say this too Nick Bosa said after the 49ers kick their ass he said I hope everybody watched the film because we put out the blueprint on how to beat this team and they have gone in the toilet since then I think the only game they won was

Against the Giants like they have just gotten destroyed so something is funky with Philly plus Jaylen herz’s finger is is mangled we all saw that pop out of place that’s really gross that was a kind of like for Jaylen Herz just have you ever seen someone with their finger

Just sideways and just stand there like hey guy he seemed so annoyed he just seemed annoyed he wasn’t in any he was just like yeah my finger is totally crooked like can we fix this now it turned out to just be not just I mean if my middle finger got dislocated I would
