One in one out yesterday they eventually announced the signing of Defender Radu drasin in a 26.7 million pound deal from genua after the Romania International chose to join Spurs over by Munich of course and then we saw Eric Dyer head the other way and go well go to Bayern

Um James OB obviously they’ve acted fast this is maybe a kind of priority signing for an Posta cogu making it clear he wanted to drag Us in in they’ve added him to team m already this week it seems like they’re getting their business done early this transfer window absolutely

And to fans aren’t used to this in January they’re used to wait until deadline day we saw Pedro porro move last year kiski and Bon B on Deadline day the the summer the the January before that so often they’ve let left things late but coming to Sunday’s game against Manchester United they could

Have two January signings making their debuts before even halfway through the month so they’ve had three priority areas in this window two of them already solved left wing assaulted now Vera coming in drosin coming at Center back as well and crucially they’ve been able to offload the wages of Eric Dar and

Hugo lce as well two players who haven’t been part of an P’s plans at all so that’s been important and an polu speaking to him over previous weeks he’s demanded that Tottenham get their business done early they don’t wait around and get players in now who can

Make an impact with those players I have out injured players at afcon as well and it looks like the Spurs hierarchy have been desperate to try to appease him following what has been such an impressive start to life of and poog at Spurs yeah going well so far and well

Drason has been speaking about his move already this is what he’s had to say I can say the the decision was inside inside of my heart I had a couple of talks with u with the coach I felt really good connection with him since since we we’ve

Talked all my life I wanted to to play football at the highest level and play in Premier League so I can say that uh one of my dreams became true I like this kind of football high high defense line aggressive with with a lot of a lot of

Space in the back to to defend yeah interesting just just hearing from new signings um James there talking about how the hierarchy kind of want to appease an Posta cogo it just seems like there’s such a feel-good kind of factor around the club at the moment

With an at the helm and you know all all the fans are kind of fully behind him yeah great Vibes at Spurs at saying in the office this morning I think you only look at the job that Posta cogo’s done so far and it’s it’s been absolutely staggering the improvement from where

They were when Antonio Conte left the club to where they are now it’s night and day been fully backed 10 players signed as we can see here 239 million spent what that doesn’t take into account is the fact that they did make a little sum of 100 million pounds back

From Harry Kane and also in terms of ffp and in terms of homegrown players they let Kane and Harry Winks go which obviously helps with the profit and sustainability things the 10 player side is a bit skewed because Pedro porro and kulesi are included in that in that

Number but they weren’t really POA cogl oning because they were players that had been on loan at the club previously but two fantastic players and two players that are actually improving under the current manager so pasta kogo was backed in the summer got in the players that he

Wanted the likes of Jes Madison and and vanen and he’s been backed again in January so far as well so really really happy times for Spurs Spurs fans as I say must be absolutely buzzing with what’s happening at the club at the moment but alluded to it earlier they

Have had some interesting januaries in the past Tottenham hotb and we’re going to look back at a few selected Windows here so the first one we’re going to look at is the last January transfer window 2023 Pedro porro and Dan Juma through the door both lone deals in

Fairness when porro first came in under con we did not really see the best of him but I think this speaks to how good POA kogo is as a coach because as soon as he’s come through the door and parro has been given a running the team playing imposta cogo system he’s been

Absolutely outstanding in my eyes right up there with Trent Alexander Arnold as one of the best right backs in the league so far this season Dan jumer of course now at Everton 2022 saw arguably probably maybe the the best duo signing we’ve seen in in in any transfer

Window kulesi and Bon CER really transformed the way Tottenham played under contact and of course boosted them up and they did end up finishing top four because they got those two signings through the door they really really changed the Dynam DC of Tottenham and the way they played Tottenham of course

Usurping Arsenal to finish fourth That season in 2020 just before we went into lockdown it was Berg V and gson Fernandez that came through under Jose Mourinho not really successful signings not not really groundbreaking signing spent around 30 million pounds on Berg volum but it didn’t really work out and

He moved on a few years later Jose Mourinho LED Spurs to a sixth place finish that season but they weren’t really two signings that made any kind of impact and really actually a lot of quiet januaries for Tottenham hotb not too much movement so we’ve had to go

Back to 2012 here to pick out some interesting signings who remembers Ryan Nelson and Luis ahar signing on free transfers Nelson was without a club at the time so har joined from Everton Tottenham fans may look at that and may even have not really remembered that they even played for Tottenham but

Tottenham actually went on to finish fourth under Harry renap so it does show that sometimes you don’t need to do too much in January maybe just getting a couple of of wise free transfers in getting some good heads in the dressing room they helped Tottenham finish fourth

Later on that season we then take a trip back to 2010 again Unis cabal came back he’d already he was at Portsmouth at the time but had already played for Tottenham Harry redn bought him back to the club good Johnson came in from Monaco on a short-term deal as well

Again not much money spent but Tottenham did go on and finished fourth in 2010 as well and then for me here fond memories of the 20 an annoying window and it was almost like Harry redn was playing Championship manager went back and signed three players that have played

For the club previously in defo Jim Bond and Keane pulled in Carlo cachini to boost his goalkeeping options from Chelsea and then Wilson palasio joined from Wigan as well for a big money signing Tottenham at that time when Harry rnaa joined was sitting towards the bottom of the Premier League these

Signings helped Tottenham Roy to eighth and then that of course put in the building blocks for the Champions League Seasons that we went on to see so some interesting January transfer windows for Tottenham where do you guys see this one taking them yeah I when you look at what

They need to give them a bit of a push under an and the direction that they want to go into and signing sort of players that actually fit his philosophy I know teim o Vera you know had his problems at Chelsea in front of goal but actually I think stylistically with the

Way an plays with Tottenham being all action he likes players with Mobility he likes players who make runs players that are quick they play on the front foot they want to press teams I actually think team OA can be really effective very quickly um whether or not his chance conversion would have improved

Since the last time he was in the Premier League that is is is you know for us to all wait and see but in terms of the way he plays I think that will help and we’ve seen um when when Min was on uh talking so glowingly about drasin

About the attributes that he has and the type of Defender that he has looks like going to be perfect cover for the starting center backs um in Christian Romero and Micky vanen who’s been another fantastic signing so actually this wiek I think it’s hard to say it’s going to

Have the impact that maybe kulesi and Benton call had or you know look Robbie Keane you know fantastic you know defo absolutely fantastic player as well so I’m not going to go on record to say that but I think it could have quite an interesting impact for for this for this spur side

Of where it is right now yeah time will tell when it um you must have had fun pulling out some of those January windows that 2009 window yeah it’s one of those windows that always stands out for me when Harry redn we know Harry redn rnap likes to wheel but he really

Took it to the extreme didn’t he in that window he Ryan Nelson as well on afraid I’m not even sure he ever played a game did he but when you finish fourth yeah it doesn’t really matter what you do in January does it yeah yeah um want to

Talk a little bit about Eric Dyer before we do chat about him though let’s just hear his goodbye message yesterday how do I even start this uh Yeah it’s been an incredible journey obviously when I arrived you never imagine in a situation like this especially in football N 9 and 1 half years in football terms is is uh it’s kind of like dog years you know I made friends that I now consider some of my

Best friends from the early days from the beginning and then from now you know I’m incredibly lucky to work under some of the best managers uh in World football and uh I don’t take any of those relationships or experiences for granted an everyday habit going to bed waking up wearing a Tottenham shirt

That’s what it’s been like for me for for so long and and then obviously the fans it’s been a hell of a journey uh the the way I was received from from the moment I came has been has been incredible I hope you can experience great success with the club moving

Forward um I’ll be watching and supporting and and and hoping for the same it was quite emotional that actually wasn’t it the music as well you know the whole vibe um it’s one of these moves where I saw someone describe it as he’s fallen upwards that’s kind of how it is a good

Way of putting it yeah sometimes that’s I don’t know a disrespectful term to maybe a player’s career they’ve worked incredibly hard to get to where they they got to and it might be hard for them to maybe hear that phrase attributed to them but in terms of Eric

Dyer being out of the fold at Spurs under an Posta kogu and sort of you know in in Spurs not not doing too well with with Jose and quante Etc I think if he would have said he would have ended up at Bayern Munich alongside Harry Kane

You would feel like that was didn’t see that that coming and and he probably thinks the same you know in in your career moves appear they they they become apparent the opportunity arises when you didn’t think and you have to take it with two hands and for him as

You can see in that in that video there Spurs means a lot to him he spent a big part of his most all near most of his career he senior career um at Spurs and he had a big impact with that pochettino side and the sides that that came after

That which maybe didn’t hit the heights but you know he’s been part of one of the most successful sides in the last decade for Spurs when they were playing front foot football attacking football um and then obviously when they changed under under different managers he’s gone through that sequence as well but I

Think for him it presents a really unique opportunity to go to Bayern Munich and hopefully play enough games in order to to pick up some silverware because you know if you’re going to put a bet down is Bayern Munich are going to win stuff aren’t they in the next sort

Of 18 months you would imagine German cup obviously going to be challenging for Champions League and and certainly the Bundesliga so a real chance for uh for Eric Dyer in a in a in a weird way to actually get some silverware um in his back pocket so yeah I think a real

Heartfelt message from him do you know what I think the biggest takeaway is from that video and I I watched that video yesterday it’s that Eric do has been completely out of favor under Posta cogo he’d probably have every Ro to be bitter about the way he’s been treated

This season center backs have been missing he hasn’t got a game but he isn’t not one of those kind of players but that just tells you everything about what POA kogu is harvesting at at Tottenham it’s probably been explained to Eric D in football reasoning why he’s

Not playing Eric D’s probably had a very honest and conversation with with with POA kogler and he’s come away from it he’s moving on to Bo and he’s not bitter at all but you know a player usually in those circumstances would be very very unhappy about how they’ve been treated

But because of what pasta kogo is doing he’s not yeah just just really quickly there was a there was a thing on social media I don’t know if you guys saw it where the sort of Spurs in-house media where videoing the players coming in and fist pumping and it’s quite sad actually

Because they got Eric Dyer on it obviously he’s been out the fold for a while and he said don’t worry you don’t have to use it or something like that and it was it was it quite sad but it’s indicative of actually just reminding me of what you’re saying he’s he’s not

Bitter about the situation doesn’t seem like that sort of player James I think it’s it’s an interesting position he’s found himself in at at Spurs he’s been there for nine and a half years but he is only 29 he’s got 49 England caps he probably feels that he can maybe kick on

If this spell goes well Thomas tle knows him really well from playing against him when he was the Chelsea manager it just feels like an interesting move for him at this time but it’s worked out well for Spurs as well they offload his wages and Eric D he’s played in Portugal he

Grew up in Portugal as well so him moving abroad isn’t going to be a big thing for him you want Harry Kane they could do something special together this year yeah um that’s Eric D leaving the club then obviously they’ve brought a couple of signings in we know they still

Ideally want a midfielder can you see that happening in this window yeah that would cap off the perfect window for Spurs there were three priority areas in this window a left Winger they’ve sorted that really with with Teo Vera Center back they’ve got that sort of with with

Drago sin as well a Center Midfield would cap the perfect window now Madison SAR and Puma currently out on the the moment due to various issues where they afon or or for injury but that is dependent on bringing a midfielder if they can maybe remove midfielder now

Lelo and P Moy they were two players they have been interested in but I think Lelo has performed really well over the last few months so it’s unlikely Spurs will want to let him go hybe is somewhere I think that they could maybe look to move on and if they get a Super

Bowl for for him and they’ve got a replacement sure they probably bring someone in but we have been reporting Connor Gallagher is a player that Spurs are really interested signing now he’s got 1880 months left on his contract we know that there may be a willingness from Chelsea to sell him from a

Financial fair play point of view it represent pure profit 80 months left in his contract I think it still cost Spurs a lot this could be a move that maybe over the coming weeks develops into something perhaps

  1. Maaaaaan in my 30 years iv never been so excited about my team! I love it! We really are finally THAT team people should and will be afraid of. Not just Man City 😉 😂

  2. Sky sports is racist, We're is the white man. Slowly clearing out the white male. Some bird that hasn't a clue and some dude who looks like a smackhead. It's awful sky rubbish reporting just to virtual signal

  3. FFP vs Levy……….his biggest critic at times but the guy is a top business man, we dont seem to have the problems of say Man Utd, Chelscum and the richest club in world Newcastle.

  4. Since the arrival of Ange, Spurs have surprised me tbf, have played positive and very much attacking football.

IMO Spurs do finish in the top 4 and play a very good season indeed.

  5. I don't particularly rate Dier but he will do well in Germany. It's just not as good a league as pundits like to make out.

  6. Good luck dier , he's been a loyal servant of the club, Was from a different era under porch , now time to move on , good luck and thanks ,ttid

  7. not showing great knowledge to hail the 2012 window as successful because we finished 4th – famously we were 1st at the start of that window, and it was a massive let down that we only signed two players on frees

  8. What a really class presentation on the Billboard Style Transfer Windiws over the years….brilliant effort Dan and Co!

  9. When the presenter was talking about the 2012 season it’s clear that he didn’t know enough about that season. Those two signings were below the level that was required and we fell from challenging at the top to then finishing 4th and missing out on Champions League. If anyone is in any doubt have a look at Spurs results from January onwards that season and it was an awful run of form. Amongst the worst I remember as a Spurs supporter. The time coincided with Redknapp being regularly linked with the England job, and his legal case. So no those signings weren’t enough.

  10. While it's maybe the case that PEH has some sell-on value in the market, I'd sooner move Ollie Skipp on. Granted he's homegrown. Pierre can have more of a calming presence when we are looking to see out games and I just haven't been that impressed w/ Skippy lately. Now, of course, he's had some injury problems. But getting another creative mid might really push us on, especially because we're not getting the best finishing out of the attacking line. Maybe that gets addressed in the summer window. I'll keep fingers crossed that Richarlison can continue to improve and get better in his positioning/finishing.

  11. I think they need to chillout. They're honestly not that good and too open at the back. I think they'll flop….as per. Average team

  12. Nice to see the Dier video , certainly looked sad to leave and understandably so , he’s spent a third of his whole life at Tottenham. Shame to see him move on as I do like to see long serving players stay for as long as possible but he needs to play and Ange’s system doesn’t suit him. Great move to Bayern though and shall watch him with interest as I do with Kane. Never really watched German football but now have an interest in it.

  13. The impact he is having in the club is incredible. I hope we signed one more midfield cause Bissouma and Sarr are in the Afcon.

  14. Exciting times at Spurs as they continue build an exciting high energy football team – The appointment of Ange Postecoglou has transformed the club – When they lost to Chelsea and went down to 9 men with all guns blazing to get a standing ovation at the final whistle from the Spurs fans was a magical moment – Spurs got their swagger back and are immensely entertaining to watch.

  15. I’d use dier as a defensive mid now. I think he’s been a brilliant player, professional and person at the club.
A lot of us spurs fans noticed that video and showed our support to him. Feels like the end of an era, it’s all quite strange. It’s sad to see and exciting about where we’re going.

  16. The guy presenting the previous transfer window business is a clown, Ryan Nelsen and Louis Saha are an indictment on what happens if you are challenging for the title and don't invest properly in the squad

  17. When Big Ange was at Celtic he always got transfer business done early, it was a breathe of fresh air. All his signings came straight into the team and instantly made an impact.

  18. We definitely need some more creative midfielders, in my opinion sarr and skipp just are not it even biss too Maddison is who we need back badly if we could get another Maddison we should be able to hang in there
