If you’re out at the range and really struggling to hit your long irons and you kind of headit it out to the right like that I’m going to show you how to fix it more likely than not you have the ball too far back in your stance so
First of all let’s move that ball a little bit further up towards this front foot second when we’re swinging you don’t really want to lean back too much it’s still an iron right we want to feel like we’re hitting down on it which will
Help the ball get up so to do that I want to feel like you’re keeping your chest down over the ball like this not on your back foot while you’re turning your left hip more behind you and letting the club pass through if we start sliding our hip forward like this
And lean back that’s where we’re going to maybe chunk it Miss it it’s probably going to go to the right and slice real bad or you can even hit a little punch shot like this to start and you should really focus on making good contact to
Begin even if it goes a little bit left that’s okay and then when you ramp up into your full swing again we want to feel like we’re rotating that hip keeping that chest down and not throwing our arms at the ball let the club do the work

Great video!
Bringing the ball up in my stance helped immensely with my long irons. Great stuff
