G430 Max 10K driver and ping is saying they have achieved the Holy Grail of drivers so they are talking Moi moii which we’ll go into as we go this video we’re going to talk about the price the tech the looks the feel we’re going to look at the performance with some

Numbers to see if we can show what they think they’ve achieved and we’ve also got a fun game at the end at one of the most famous golf holes in the world so I’ve taken this driver to a real challenging hole to see if it can actually challenge me to be longer and

Straighter let’s kick this off looks and feels it looks big that’s my first impression it is like big it’s the old uh Max 10K big it’s a good footprint but it’s a big footprint does that make me feel like I can do this more so like hit

It as hard as possible well kind of yes and kind of no I think it makes you feel like you can do that more but some of my testing with average golfers is they actually swing the center of gravity rather than just a big head meaning they

Feel the center of gravity of the club and the outside perimeters they don’t really feel but maybe that’s another video it definitely will inspire anyone who wants to look at a big Club head down by the ball you are going to be inspired with that obviously the fixed

Weight at the back as well which you don’t see face to head always a nice contrast with ping as in lack of contrast I should say it’s kind of seamless and if you don’t like turbulators they’re still there um so you’re not going to like this one as

Well in looks I like it I think it’s batman-esque it has been for years the feel they’re saying is a little bit louder less muted even though it’s got the wrap around the carbon fly wrap which will do the tech um yeah maybe it does feel a little bit tinger they still

Got the best design of subtle neck if you want a subtle but plenty of adjustability and it sits lovely and square like it does sit well and ping do do that I think almost better than anyone like their attention to detail how it sits and how it frames is really really

Good fraction louder possibly definitely ticking boxes on looking friendly whatever that means to you it’s ticking boxes in its stal look like Ping have stayed true to for a long time now and it’s ticking boxes in feeling really solid as they all like so solid and the numbers are

Looking pretty good already we will get to the numbers I’d say no surprises that’s probably a good thing if you’re a ping fan if you’re not a ping fan you might want them to mix it up but there’s no surprises there the feel they say it’s a little louder well I don’t know

If it is but it looks ping cool so the big story is the 10K this is the first time ping of sa last this so basically this side equation this which basically just means it’s going to allow you to in theory get longer and straighter drives in theory but the spin

Isn’t going to jump way high so usually if you get the Moi just crazy high they have to it’s hard to keep the spin down because the weight all has to go way at the back but they’ve surpassed 10K while also maintaining decent levels of spin

Which we will see in the test it’s got fixed 28 G weight in it at the back this is what’s helping it produce this High Moi it’s a thinner shallower forged face they say it delivers more Flex bit more speed does have the large profile that

We saw in the looks and feel but it’s still a 460cc head doesn’t surpass that cuz you can’t but it does present big and for the slower swing speeds as well there’s custom fit options where you can put an 18 G weight in all the back weight for slower swing speeds as what

They’re saying we’ve got the carbon fly Crown as we saw in the look so we’re getting all that amazing Tech but we’ve a achieve the holy go what we’ve all been waiting for as golfers I know we are rejoicing across the land they’ve surpassed the 10K Moi measurement

Thing so when it comes to the price I’m not sure what to say because we’re looking at £599 $650 so $650 this is an expensive driver it’s up there with all the expensive where ping have often pitched them sales at that slightly reduced price not cheap but

Slightly down there but this one is like way up there where the g430 at the moment certainly in the UK I mean I’m looking at £469 that probably would have been £499 at release these are recommended retails so yeah this is like not cheap it’s up there it’s still pinging what do you

Think no Sur prises in the numbers as you would imagine from a g430 driver did I see any of their claims come through in the numbers well let’s see if I see it in the test at the end I didn’t really see it in the numbers in the

First test I saw solid spin numbers around 2 four averaging I saw good ball speed numbers kind of averaging around 162 point something which is not bad it’s not the fastest but it’s certainly not the lowest and that’s kind of where I would average I have fluctuating days

That’s what happens when you are generally not fast like me what we did get is exactly what you would expect it was true flying with the numbers I didn’t see a left or right bias particularly the spin numbers were consistent exactly where I’d want them

Subject to where I struck it on the face I think it’s a season to see that Moi number come out or maybe two but let’s see if I can find it in the game at the end the numbers as You’ expect from ping no surprises just dead

Solid the people who will game this ping is really interesting so I think everyday golfers can game it but what you’ll find on tour which often should reflect out into everyday golfers if the golf pros are doing a good job of explaining the tech and us the reviewers

Is that you’ll fine on tour that this club will cross over a percentage of their players might actually use it because that spin model is not too crazy high but the Moi is high good players want as much perceived help as possible as well so I think this is one for lots

Of golfers the day golfers they should kick off trying if you’re in for the Ping like kick off trying this one and then move back to their other models because if the 10K does make a difference over a season why would you give that up why would you give that Moi

Up would be the question so I think the people who should game this club anyone who’s a ping fan anyone who’s looking for a new driver this is one that you should definitely be Testing long and straight test here then 17th St Andrews how many many are going over into the hotel come on three shots how many at the Fairway how many they won’t be long today I’m not that long today and how many uh are in the rough longest and

Straightest and I’m going for it I’m hitting it firm because I want to test the big head oh we are not in the hotel take that one am I going to do three out of three what do you reckon it is the longest and straightest they’ve made oh room number 12b watch yourself
