Bit harsh to judge the course in Jan and we have had so much rain when most other courses are closed. I’ve played there and it’s a cheap round with great staff so can’t complain.
Just FYI Ash, it’s “the water in Mallorca isn’t like what it outa” not sure where Gibraltar came into it! 😂😂 Great vid, hideous conditions for a round of golf!
To be honest, it isn't that bad, considering the amount of rain that has come down in the UK. At Felixstowe we've had 305mm of rain in the last 3 months, had the course closed like never before and many times 5 or 6 holes closed off due to being waterlogged. At £17.50 a round, it is a bargain for anyone wanting to play golf on a budget and would like to see the course in the summer if they let you back after this video title 😂
I think its worth it if it was dryer but more importantly I think its a good place for people new to golf to go to. I appreciate we all start somewhere and I'm bang average at best but I'm sick of people who have swung a club for a week taking on tough courses prematurely.
Bernard's watch was class! I tell me kids about this all the time. Fuck super powers I want Bernard's watch. No more doing anything tired, click the watch and kip til your well slept. 18 holes would take about 20 minutes. Take your shot, click, unclick at the ball. Means I could get in 72 holes in before work in summer 😂😂
Last note, when is Ash vs Bullard happening. I want to see an 18 hole match.
Tbh…there is a massive need for clubs like this…I started playing golf at Beckenham Place Park which was run by Lewisham Council…most intimidating tee shot in golf…50 fellas laughing when you skanked it…sadly no longer a course but shouldn’t dismiss breeding grounds for youngsters etc getting into the game….from what I’m seeing most courses are suffering at the mo…great to be living in Portugal 🇵🇹 😎
You did well to stay the course,i would have been off when the rain came, horrible weather,i was going to play in the winter,as i have a big goal,as im a fair weather golfer really, but all the courses are shut, and it just hasnr stopped raining, and watching the tom tit you played in,i think march looks good for me.😀😀😀 Well done by the way.
Very harsh to do a review when the course had lying water and reviews from 2019 & 2020, the latter at the start of the pandemic possibly? As some have said, for those on a low income or fixed budget and want to play the game, this course fits the bill. You Tube golfers are generally privileged enough to play on better, more mature course where green fees are more expensive and that has to be remembered. On a final note, foul language regardless of context is not what’s needed on videos such as this and I couldn’t see what audiences this video was supposed to be for; was it supposed to be informative or was it a ‘lad’s video’ having a laugh on a course clearly not fit for play and basically ‘taking the p**s’ in some excerpts. I watched the whole video, some parts were good but generally, my feeling was what did I actually learn from it, was it worth doing in those conditions and did the video give a fair assessment, I would say not. I have also checked the course website out; google reviews 4.2/5 and recent reviews are favourable as are green fees so I think, in hindsight, it would have been fair to the course owners to remark on this in the video and, of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
I think £17.50 is a bit steep for this time of year but I’m from up north with my course is only £20 in the summer and it’s a lovely course. Things can only get better tho 😂 great video as always
Played this course last summer. Can say there is never a difference between rough and fairway. Greens were long so at least you had them cut. Was charged £20 on a Saturday morning and still felt robbed 😂
Much respect mates for being out in such bad conditions 👊🏻 hope they didn’t have to cut your frozen foot off 😬😳🤣🤣 stayed till the end 👊🏻 was funny even though it must have been brutal! Well played Ash 🏌🏻
Bit of a disrespectful title. You’ve gone out on 31st December and complained about how wet it is. What do you expect? Most of Essex golf courses were flooded this week. If they were asking for double price then I’d get the title, but for £1 a hole, come on?!

How’s it even open !??the amount of standing water on it! This is why I don’t play winter golf. Walking around in the slop and muck …..NO THANK YOU!
A god awful place at the best of times

Tenner top whack
I think for £17.50 that’s mint
Aside from fact we’ve had wettest year for a decade.
You think that's bad! You want to get to fingle glen
Thank god i live in the tropics. From whatbi understand you've all been basically underwater with not so warm weather. Cold day here is 25c

Should come over the bridge and see some of the awful ones in Kent..

Ash, I played this course in the spring a few years ago and I shit you not there were dead rabbits with their eyes gouged out on multiple holes.
Think I got it for £12 on GolfNow and I overpaid.
How can you give an unbiased review on any golf course considering the amount of rain we have had over the last few months ? , the man`s a prat ….
What prat would do a review of a golf course after three months of rain ?? , oh yeah this Prat who did the review
100% in that condition should be closed. Far too wet to be open. I’d say play it start of summer to gage how bad it is.

You need one of those little ball suckers on the end of your putter 😂

Be good to have a game there again in the summer actually don't look bad weather's been a joke the place shouldn't be open

These lies are good every time and i dont mean in faireway is west cleaning the ball and make lies good? 😂😂😂
You southern softies need to get yourself upto @handsworthgolfclub

From experience I’d rather play that than Carnoustie. Even worse in a different way for me. Made me give up golf for 10 years.
The nearest course to me – played it twice, hated it!! Its knackering too, getting up those hills on a sodden course with all the gear aint easy
If you want a bargain, check out Hartswood in Brentwood, £25 in summer, council owned course but its by far the best £25 course I've ever played

Who gave you permission to film it ?
Golf world stansted rivals that for worst course in Essex. 9 holes £19. Give it ago 😂
That's better than my course at the moment…..lost 3 fairway balls on Sunday…plugged and lost 🙈….

Great video, fair play battling in those tough conditions 👏🏻
