PING has done it again with the launch of the remarkable new G430 MAX 10K driver. This new driver shatters records to become PING’s straightest and most forgiving driver ever.
The G430 MAX 10K achieves an incredible combined MOI (Moment of Inertia) over 10,000 g-cm2. This blows past the G400 MAX from five years ago which first surpassed 10,000 g-cm2. The extremely high MOI results in unprecedented forgiveness and stability, even on mishits.
So how did PING engineers pack so much MOI into the 460cc head? Three key technologies make it possible.
First, a fixed 28g back weight positions the centre of gravity ultra-low and deep in the head. This delivers that enormous MOI along with lower spin and optimised CG location for maximised distance.
Second, the Carbon fly crown weighs just 13g fully installed. This carbon fibre saves 5g of weight that can be repositioned to further lower the CG and jack up forgiveness.
Finally, PING increased the size of the head profile to the absolute max dimensions allowed by the USGA. Not only does this inspire confidence, but it opened up space to pack in all that revolutionary CG and MOI enhancing tech.
The face is also innovated with a thinner, shallower forged design and Spinistency tech to optimise spin and ball speed across the face. A lightweight hosel provides +-1.5° of adjustability to fine tune trajectory.
In summary, the PING G430 MAX 10K brings groundbreaking levels of MOI and forgiveness to a driver while maintaining their dedication to speed and performance. This driver looks set to be a top choice for golfers of all abilities seeking to hit it longer and straighter this season.
Word on the street is that Tony Fen out in the offseason has been testing this it’s interesting that you know by by putting the ls Crown right at the you know removing or using the LST Crown it allows them to save weight at the top there so they’re able to put this bigger
Heavier weight at the back that’s what Ping say they’ve done so when you do that when you put weight at the back you can sometimes throw off the spin so they’ve done really well with the forge face to try and counteract that um
