Backto back events in Hawaii the struggle is real for professional Golfers welcome back to Bray bur DFS one of the best places for PGA NFL MLB and NBA news and of course DFS if you don’t know by now I’m Walt if you haven’t already please like And subscribe to my Channel all right so we have our first

Fullfilled event of the year we are not going to be able to skate by till Sunday like last week half of the players in this field are getting cut at the end of the day Friday so that is going to change our strategy so for this video

The first thing I’m going to do is give you a few things to consider whether it be about the time zones previous winners or whatever then I’m all going to give you the actual winner history who has won at this tournament that is in the field this week week next I’m going to

Give you a brief course overview because those are the kind of things you need to know when you’re making your lineups and doing your own personal analysis and then I’m going to give you some key stats to consider a lot of these stats are based on history and obviously with

This is only the second event of the full year and then I’m going to give you some general players to Target and then I’m going to end this video by going to DraftKings and giving you one player from each of the salary bands that DraftKings has all right so let’s talk

About the things to consider so the first thing is which players played last week I believe that the players that played last week have an advantage first of all they were able to knock some of the rust off second of all they there are some there are some similarities as

Far as the weather and terrain with these courses the actual green sizes and Fairways are a little different but in general just playing last week uh a lot of players were able to knock some of that rust off and that’s kind of the next bullet which players are going to

Be rusty there were some players that played a lot in the DP World Tour in the fall swing series and there were some players that really have not played a lot since last summer now these are the best golfers in the world so they can

Knock the rust off quickly but this is a cut event so this is not a no cut event so you don’t want with your DFS dollar someone R you know knocking off the rust in round one and getting into a hole and not making the cut and then which

Players are going to have the hardest time getting used to the time zone change so once again if they played last week they by now they probably gotten acclimated but you have some players that have played a lot and practiced a lot in Europe I mean even I’m on the

East coast and that’s seven hours different so I mean which players are going to have the hardest time really adjusting to that time zone difference and everybody asks this anytime any anyone wins an event and ends up playing the next week will there be some kind of

Chris Kirk hangover I mean the thought process says why a lot of people you know what statistically people can’t win back to back I don’t agree with that because um as we know in real life these events are not connected I mean these are these are the same people that say

You should never play 1 2 3 4 5 in a lottery when actuality every number has the same you know probability so that kind of falls into that so I don’t necessarily agree with you can’t win backtack these are professional golfers the other the other uh thought process

And I can I can see this a little bit is uh their competitive juices might be down you know they’ve already won and it’s like well you know you know I I’m not going to go as hard this week and I don’t I don’t know about that I feel

Like if if these all these players are rich and they can still manage to get up their competitive juices every week so I don’t see how this could be any different and one that I can kind of get with this maybe they just exerted themselves you know winning you know the

Tournament the previous week so those are the five things we need to consider all right so let’s look at the last five winners who are playing in the field this week so last year’s winner you have SE will Kim he won with the score of 18 underpar you have a Dei Matsuyama who

Won in 2022 with the score of 23 underpar you have Matt coocher who won in 2019 with a score of 22 underpar you have padon gazy he won in 2018 with a score of 17 underpar and then you have Russell Henley who won in 2013 with a

Score of 24 under par all right so let’s get into some figures about this course Yi Country Club that’s where the Sony open’s going to take place so it’s a 7,044 four yard course so a much shorter course than what we had last week it is

A par 70 course as opposed to the par 73 last week that was insane so this course has four part 3s it has 12 par fours you’re like how can they do that well they can do it because this course only has two part fives and they’re very easy

And historically the cutline for this course has been one to 200 under par and that’s all really been based on the weather and the wind when you’ve had situ situations when you’ve had years where there was a lot of wind and a lot of weather obviously it’s harder the cut

Line changes now what are some key stats for this course and we have a lot of course history for this uh course in this tournament the things that you want to look at when you’re doing your own personal res research excuse me you want to look at Strokes gain approach you

Want to look at driving accuracy because of the sides of these Fairways obviously you w look at par four scoring because they’re 12 par fours and you want to look at Strokes gained around the green so when we look at all of those things plus the course history plus you know

Similar courses who are the players that we should Target so first you have mat hooer he has eight top 10 finishes in the last 10 times he’s played this course you have Brendan Todd he hasn’t missed the the cut in the last five years you have Russell Henley he’s had

Multiple top five top 15 finishes in the last 10 years you have Corey Connors once again another person with multiple top 15 finishes and then you have Brian Harmon who has a good course fit and Keegan Bradley all right so now that we’ve gone over all of that let’s look

At the players in each of the tiers that we can kind of have a little bit of discussion on so no surprise well it’s a little bit of a surprise the most expensive player um uh with the highest salary for DraftKings is lvc aberer yeah

He kind of torpedo a lot of our lineups last week he finished 47th he had that horrible uh round three but then he had that amazing you know round four you know I really like Aber Berg for Showdown because in Showdown when he has one of those like he had round four uh

Few days ago depending when you’re watching this I mean that’s how you win at Showdown but there have been times where he has been his variance has been a little bit all over the place but overall he’s trending in the right direction Vegas thinks you know gives

Him the best odds to win this tournament DraftKings has made him the most expensive player for a reason so out of all the players in the 10,000 he’s the one that kind of pequs my interest the most in the 9,000 range not necessarily because I’m going to play him but will

Alator so we know before the surgery he was one of the best golfers in the world and I mean you know he he still is but I mean he had he had a back surgery and that can have impacts on your game he’s only played once uh since uh his back

Surgery and that was almost I guess over a month ago he finished in 20th Place he had a horrible round one and kind of got better then he had a horrible round three so at 9,300 if I were just doing one lineup there’s no way in heck I would put will

Zot Tores in my lineup however if I was trying to get cheeky try to get some leverage try to get different Wills alator is definitely someone I can cons I would consider because I have to believe that his ownership is going to be lower than its actual skill level

Because of the surgeries all right so we’re moving into the 8000s and see who Kim won last week not last week sorry he is the reigning Champion so I have no doubt in my mind that he is going to be highly owned and that makes sense he’s

Proven that he can he won before why can’t he do it again uh he had a pretty consistent you know time of it at the century last week we had round two and round four where he shot a 66 and then shot a 70 and round one and round three

Um he didn’t have the the most awesome you know fall he played a little bit more than some people but he you know he just hasn’t finished in the top 20 but just because he won last year it’s going to make him very popular in the 7000s

Now he is the opposite of a lot of players Alex noren has been playing he has not put the the putter down he has not put the driver down he played a lot this fall and this is going to be his first event in two months but I just

Like what he’s done this fall and how much he’s played so in one sense he will be rusty because it’s been two months since he’s last played almost two months but not as much as some of the players who’ve only played one event since last

Summer and if I had to pick a player under 7,000 and last week was so funny because I got on my soap box and talked about how it’s risky you you know to pick a player under 7,000 and it was late in the afternoon on Sunday and

There were three players in the winning lineup that were under 7,000 I think by the by the end of the tournament there was only one player but like I say every week I mean there’s a thing this is called outliers You’ heard of it I generally don’t like to really have uh

Pick players under 7,000 or so I’m only going to pick one player and if I was going to pick one player it would be uh Patton kazy we once again he’s won this tournament before he was very active in the fall and he did pretty well in the

Fall so let me know your thoughts if you have any specific questions please leave them in the comments but otherwise I’ll talk to you next time I hope this video help you with your thought process for your lineups if you haven’t already please like And subscribe and hit that notification Bell
