World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler shot a 64 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead at the PGA Tour’s season-opening Sentry at the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Hawaii.

Tyrrell Hatton had the round of the day with a 62, and it moved the Englishman into a tie for second place with Brendon Todd (64) and Sungjae Im (66) at 15 under par. Four more golfers sit another stroke back, including Im’s Korean countryman Byeong Hun An (64).

Yeah just kept a good head on my shoulders uh I played really solid I um the few times I got into trouble I got it out pretty quick and hit some nice pitches and you know couple nice putts as well but it’s one of those places if you go

Out there and play well I think you’re going to get rewarded and um you know if you start not hitting it in in the right spots you can get in trouble and um yeah you just got to keep the pedal down out here uh well I guess it shows how much

Of a stupid game it is um obviously I patted amazing today that was that’s the big thing for how my score ended up as low as it was but um yeah uh with how bad my body felt I’m surprised that uh going out this morning i’ that would that score’s just not even

Entering my mind it’s more probably like over overpar feeling yeah that would be some effort around it although I don’t I’ll probably jinx it now and have an absolute shocker tomorrow but um time will tell
