Here’s um did it help me starting on the on the back nine today uh kind of the more scorable nine and got to kind of a hot start there I I thought so but then when we got a 10 it was pumping in in our face different win than we’ve seen
The past couple days and thought I was going to play pretty tough today and just got the putter hot uh made a pretty long one on 11 it was just hard to get close to some of those pins and then obviously hitting the stretch of 14 15
16 18 are all really scorable and and um got on a good stretch right there and reeled off a lot of birdies and then eag 18 making the turn um definitely helped things out but yeah I mean it it was just making a lot of mid-range putts um
Controlling the ball really well hitting a lot of great shots and um giving myself a lot of chances what was maybe the difference in the putter today than the first couple days yeah I thought I puted I was hitting my lines really well the first day and they just weren’t
Going in my speed was a little off I feel like they slowed them down a little bit the first day expecting a good bit of wind and um I don’t know just my lines and speed have matched up the last couple days and especially today I mean
That’s that’s what it takes is making those 12 15 Footers and and once you start making a few of them you feel like you can make all of them and that’s kind of how it felt today how much time did you kind of take off kind of during the
The kind of after I guess RSM uh kind of put the clubs away you did you take some time off yeah I I played uh the grant Thorton Invitational down in Naples one of my favorite events um teamed up this year with Seline buer and and had a
Great time we thought we played really well and and didn’t make the putts we needed to make um but it’s it’s an awesome awesome week to see where your game’s at I didn’t really take a ton of time off I I did a duck hunting trip with some of my
Friends uh out in Missouri and and that was really about it I’ve I’ve been getting after it pretty hard um I didn’t play a whole lot this fall but kind of playing the back end with the RSM and the grant Thorton I thought it was a
Good prep for uh for getting ready for this week and and a start of the West Coast I’m going to play a lot here out west and uh thought I’d get right back to it what were you kind of working on uh back in SEI on your
Game yeah uh still some some swing stuff here and there um keeping the club a little bit more in front of me um it’s always the same stuff I mean feels like since I was 12 years old it’s you’re always working on the same stuff which sounds monotonous and it seems boring at
Times and and you want more information but it’s it’s the more simple I can keep it um Justin and I can keep it um the better I’m swinging it um just really thinking about my start lines and and had a great prep to the week not really
Thinking about much in my golf swing right now um so so it’s been great um e said these past couple weeks uh these tournaments have been some of the best I’ve driven it which is uh great for me and can give me a lot of chances to get that putter in the
Hand how much do you think it helps going into tomorrow the fact that you’ve won here not because you won but knowing you know the the routing and the scoring of the course and how things quickly can change and and all that stuff yeah I think I’ll be very patient
Knowing that the front nine definitely plays a couple shots harder than the back and in the back Anything Can Happen um I remember getting off to a tough start the final round of that 2021 um year and and got it going on the back nine and and played really well coming
Down the stretch and um I think having some of that patience will help tomorrow I mean who knows what the lead’s going to end up being I saw uh Shay’s playing really well and obviously some of those guys can bre the last couple holes and
Make an eagle at 18 um so I’ll probably be at least three or four back um but I I I like my chances I like where I’m at I’m not sure what the win’s going to be tomorrow but um I’ll be ready for it I’m
I’m happy with the last two days and uh kind of jumping putting myself in contention um after a slow start to the week two under I felt like I was in last place but um coming out and and being the top 10 having a chance tomorrow is is awesome
And that’s kind of how I wanted this week to draw up anything else dad I mean it’s playing how it should out there it’s windy it’s It’s Tricky got some good pens um it’s a lot of fun I know uh everybody’s having a lot of fun
This week and um it’s probably the best shape I’ve ever seen it um and you’re getting paid Harry huh and you get money at the end of the week yeah and and we’re getting a lot of money um pretty good place to start out for the for the
Year Sander’s making fun of us now we better go he’s wearing a trident
