Hey this is Eric here with Odyssey R&D here to tell you a little bit more about our ai1 Putters from this year this year we’ve got two different putter lines ai1 mil and ai1 I’ll start talking a little bit about the face inserts so the first
One we have is our ai1 mil face insert this is a fully miled titanium insert with topology on the back it was designed by AI the second insert that we have is our ai1 insert which is an aluminum fully M piece on the back and then a white hot urethane cover on the
Top for that white hot feel that we all know and love moving on to the p themselves we’ve got the ai1 line removable weights on the heel and the toe and then we’ve got this pretty cool glass window in the back here so you can actually see the topology of the insert
In the ai1 M line we’ve got the face insert bonded in and same thing removable weights on the heel and on the toe this back window is something that’s really unique and different in the putter space and our Engineers went through a lot of different steps to make
Sure that it’s something that’s premium uh and and looks good and it’s going to continue to look good throughout the lifespan of the putter a number of things that we had to solve were making sure that it’s UV resistant as scratch resistant as possible make sure that
It’s watertight for those rainy days or those days where you’ve got a ball in the in the greenside pond uh that you’re trying to fish out um they went through a number of different different iterations of this back glass uh kind of window here uh to make sure that it’s
Something that looks premium and it’s going to perform really well throughout the lifespan of the product you hear AI a lot and a lot from Callaway here in the golf space but what does it mean for us in Putters you know this year we’ve got these two different inserts and what
We did is we set them up on the computer and the computer simulates a bunch of different impact through so we had 15 different impact locations and we said hey make the ball Speed most the most consistent that you can across all 15 of these different impact locations the
Computer then Cycles through and goes through a number of different designs almost a thousand for each of these inserts and selects the best design for ball speed consistency across the face we then bring those parts in we test them we verify the design works and this
