Um my wife cooked this huge gamon joint that we took with us uh to my in-laws for Christmas obviously there was so much other food that nobody got through it so I brought like three qus of it back and I’ve just been slicing it over the last couple of days and making some

Incredible sandwiches out of it and tremendous you think it almost tastes better the second time round because I think when you have it the first time you’re like wow this is good but then you Chuck it in the fridge you leave it to marinate maybe for a good day you

Come back to it Chuck it in a nice B Just Hits different for me yeah I think you’re right I think especially with gamon where it’s really salty yes the fact that once you’ve like sort of coated it in honey and you’ve left it for a couple of days it kind of

It back after um but yeah I caught I caught all the good bits from uh from my side uh I think United I I really think like 10 hard guest criticism for his style a lot of the time I think I’m seeing pockets of what I think he wants his team to be

And that’s high in intensity big counter press lots of energy being direct and this kind of thing and maybe maybe you can’t call that style but I think that’s that’s kind of what I think he wants his team to be they just don’t do it regularly enough whether that’s because

They don’t have the energy to do it or whether they’re not motivated to do it all the time um but they are a good team you know and I think they they really crumbled under the pressure that United put on them and I think we’ve seen a lot

Of the time United fall two- nil down or whatever and just absolutely Wilt into into nothing uh but no it was a great comeback really nice comeback and I think that the holand goal was the one that everyone’s been waiting for really and the way that he reacted after

Scoring was just really nice it’s nice to it’s nice to feel nice for once yeah but give me give me till Saturday Saturday night and I’ll be talking about another defeat I was gonna say who I was gonna say who you playing on the weekend yeah just you know just get through just

Like just win this game right and just quell the noise for a little while and let’s look forward but I I can’t tell you with any guarantee that they will go and win that game at Forest because it can be a difficult one as Arsenal Liverpool have found out recently as

A lot of promise that he’s scoring five goals in the Champions League is difficult for for players I think he’s still amongst the top scorers in that competition so I think he can score goals it’s just you know I think one of the old uh cliches

About strike is while you can go 14 games or whatever you just need one to bounce in off your ass and then you’re off and running again so you can start scoring goals I think to me I think the the relief on his face was just so clear

To see him maybe maybe the pressure will lift off him a little bit so fingers crossed I like him as a I like his I like a lot of what he does he’s very very raw still he’s got a lot to work on um but no it’s a great start a lovely

Standouts from a United point of view I thought the Midfield Trio actually obviously Erikson came back into the team but Mayu Bruno and Erikson and whilst probably on the surface you haven’t got many defensive minded players there you’ve got three technically good players and the intricacy of passing particularly when

You’re playing on the break I think you saw a difference there in terms of the way United were building through the thirds yeah I mean I think that the big thing has been Scott Momin being there I think a lot of United fans see him as a

A passenger at times because he doesn’t really contribute to the buildup Christian ‘s obviously been out injured for a little while Bruno’s always there whenever he’s not suspended um but I think kobby Mayo is is the one really from the six I think he nobody’s really talked about him I I

Don’t think or may I know I jumped on five live yesterday and we talked about him a little bit there but the fact he made that mistake at West Ham you know for if you’re 18 and you make a mistake like that it can quite easily get on top

Of you but I think playing in the position that he plays in just the fact that he recycles the ball really helps United you know to build uh and having somebody like eron was quality on the ball in in momin’s place you you you’re trading energy there for technical

Relaxing the move picking up the right option wanting to the ball as opposed to Momin running away from the ball it and I I thought is a matter of time add to that Mr un and Harry was spot on Villa fans can come at me all you want but I’m

Marie a and then you’ve got unai am Marie B which is as soon as he gets to a place where he feels like he’s got a higher level of player he completely rips up what’s worked for him at the likes of Seva and V and he and he goes

To another style of football which works with this incredibly High Line which leaves his teams really really vulnerable now at times it will work great because if you can get that offside trap to work perfectly which is a really difficult thing to do week in week out by the way against players of

The pace of garro and rashford for example if you can get that to work great the benefits from it are huge it’s a high risk High reward strategy but will be times where you will get exposed as a result of it when Arsenal played

Them a few weeks ago I said to you guys that you know credit to them credit for their league position because overall it’s worked of course it has look at where they are look at the job he’s done generally speaking it’s not to take anything away from them but to go to

That next level he has to be able to he has to be able to adapt his game against certain opposition there are teams that Villa are good enough to do that against and there are teams that will rip them apart if they play like that we saw it

Why Villa fans get so defensive about it rather than just saying okay you know it works against 75% of the League’s opposition but in these games we need to adapt it we need to change it up they were far too vulnerable um you know and United’s players were on it the other

Night you got to give credit to United don’t take anything away from garnacho rashford hland that like the movement was incredible and as you’ve mentioned having that Midfield that could pick out the holes um and drop the ball into the right spaces made all the difference but

I I just think for me me it’s classic kunai Emory it’s classic kunai Emory did it with Arsenal where he got a bit carried away with the players that he had and he thought I I have a responsibility now to play in a different way and he completely

Abandoned what had worked so well for him and won him the Europa League titles that he has and I just think he’s got to find a better balance I’m not saying abandon your ideas on football but there needs to be more balance and over the course of the Season you’re going to see

That happen again and again and again if he continues to play that way well I think the warning signs were there on the opening day wasn’t it when they went to St James Park and lost 5-1 and I remember Alex Ferguson coming out and said he was really impressed with the

Way villa villa played overall and to be fair you would say overall this season Villa have been really good value yeah I think you’re right Harry in the sense that when it I think when it goes wrong it can get messy and people are mentioned that in the chat someone

Yeah I AG I agree with that but I don’t think they have a personal to do it like Erikson isn’t there enough uh you you stick with M Tom for his energy because he’s always fit he can’t control a game of football like I think you need to

Find more players that are able to do that and I think that’ll take transfer windows but you you have like you’re looking at bloody Johnny Evans playing he’s been great by the way Johnny Evans he was great Johnny Evans 36 years old like and you having to rely on him

You’re playing 9 10 Center back per this season so far like he doesn’t have a base to build off for me and I think that he’s never going to get that kind of sympathy but I think the way that I look at it I don’t think he will see ten

Hog’s style until he has the players fit that he needs to to do it with or until they re they get players out to replace them with players who are more Adept at playing his style I don’t think you’ll see it until that point comes um but

What he has to do is I I’m seeing enough in spurts to say that I think he’s working on something I see what he’s trying to do um but generally the The Wider pitcher the media in general will not give him that time and patience I personally don’t see the point I don’t

See the point changing the manager this season personally but what that question will never to be come around if if they lose at Forest uh Lo saying he signed Mount mount’s been injured for three months like he’s been injured for for ages you know so half of these players and Mason

Mount will probably play quite well in that system when it’s you know high energy High Press system he probably play quite well in that system because that’s what he’s he’s adapt to and that’s why they signed him but you don’t see it yet because there’s been so many

Injuries but um what ten hog has to do is get results no matter what the the players are he has to get results but what he’s doing at the minute they’ve won 10 lost eight so it’s it’s a roller coaster it’s up here it’s down there

It’s up here it’s down there and until they stop that until they start winning consistently he’s going to get that question every time I I would argue that Eric ten H shouldn’t be the one that gets the plaudits for the other night I I I just I look at some of the individual

Performances players that haven’t performed so far and equally you’ll say it’s on them that the team hasn’t performed so far like people like rashford I agree with you actually I agree I agree I think the other night I think it was you know the players seemed

More up for it than normal um there was spaces that maybe they were looking at and licking their lips and thought you know what let’s let’s go for it let’s and I so the point I’m trying to make is I don’t think think it was like a 10 hog

Master Class it’s really obvious actually how you can hurt Aston Villa and I think the players kind of took it upon themselves to expose the spaces that they could clearly see and and that was where it were because we’ve said it a million and one times rashford is

Talented garnacho is talented H holand is a good player despite having not scored in the Premier League up until the other night when the quality is Erikson’s quality is there but it’s not there every week with these guys anymore that’s the problem but on that night it

Just seem to click despite them going two-nil down so I think you got to give the players praise more than than 10 and then just the final final section if you’re going to do that Harry this is what I say every time they lose I look

At the Players usually so it’s it’s the same thing and I agree with what you said I I think it’s just the fact that the players recognize the situation they they look like they were trying the other night but they don’t look like they’re trying a lot of the time that

That’s why I look at the players and that’s why I think you can so long as the results are okay and the league position’s okay I don’t think you at the manager but I think you can get through the rest of the season fingers crossed

He he needs to pick up results and he’s always going to the Buck’s always going to stop with him but I think you look at the Players they are the ones that need to do it every three days yeah sure I do think to be fair last thing I will say I

Do think ten hog deserves a bit of credit particularly in the second half because you not if United were playing really well at the end of that first half after the two goals and to be fair the way United press in the second half was better than they did in the first

Half and I think that’s T tactically from ten hog pretty good and I know it’s easy to say that after they’ve come back from two- nil down but I think you’ve got to give credit where credits du right yeah I guess so I mean like most United teams of the recent past would

Have could have lost they could have lost that 4-0 like you know it’s just that situation if you find yourself two-nil down you either lose it 4-0 or you come back and win like it’s no uh they’re just a weird crop of players really really weird I think ten hog is

Having to deal with that and get his ideas across at the same time but I think what he said at halftime was just keep doing what you’re doing change you said you changed the Press just a little bit a very small tweak and then it it

Turned out that they won but you know the way that Villa set up I’ll say this as well the way that Villa set up really helped United as well and I don’t think you’ll see that every time but United need to the players need to go in with

Confidence or put a little bit of seed of doubt in the Liverpool fans hearts and Minds maybe uh if you’re weak like some are I’m not um was was the disallowed goals was the you know decisions and then obviously naturally the crowd start thinking hello it’s only

1 nil still after all this two goals disallowed wrongfully by the way um you know and then you think to yourself they’ve missed chance after chance hit the cross bar that keeper has he got anything to do with United Scott I know his name Trafford James Trafford he came from City what a

Good keeper he he was born at Old Trafford mate that’s why they call that’s why I’m saying something yeah yeah exactly after named him after the ground he was named after the ground he had eight falling down for for for f kings and queens out there he made eight

Saves in the opening half just alone eight saves he was so good um but yeah they had a 10-minute spell where there was a back post header that could have really really sort of uh dented all the great work we’ done but overall just a comfortable night that we had to sort of
