About five other nations playing way more than that England’s playing 17 India’s playing 15 I think um so not a heap of work for a lot of the guys in in test Cricket I suppose but um yeah so I’m I’m looking at the guys being like yeah might go on beyond that

Like I don’t think anyone suggesting usman’s going to go on like be maybe it’s just if I’m a scoring runs thing but yeah what are you looking up for rman there 37 399 by the end of the ashes in two years time yeah 39 opening the batting at 40 facing Mark Wood

Innings in the boxing day test match that I think that Cameron green has it in him cuz he’s got such a high ceiling but I’ve never seen it not there never seen it he played very good Innings at theg against India one year made 70 or something like that maybe the third

Innings uh that might ring a bell but um Mitch Marsh is the actualized product at the moment and he is every bit in the best 11 players best 11 cricketers in the test setup for Australia so um yeah like I just wonder like how do you get

Cameron Green in he’s not that young anymore on the Warner thing um uh like the the whole brew HaHa about anointing the next player yes Jamie Cox’s very upset well like he’s I think I like what Jamie Cox says but uh it was funny because like halfway through the year

Warner said he thought it should be Rena did he yeah and then the other day said it should be Harry so I’m thinking like there’s only one other player hasn’t said why but like I don’t think it’s it’s really great to essentially be you know saying a BLS who he prefers after after

Like what we’re really talking about is like guys who are top order bats you know who might be a three or a four In First Class Cricket who then went to open the batting because that was where the spot was there there there aren’t that many guys who went from like six to

One you’re looking at like um Shane Watson there or um Joe Burns debuted at 6 for Australia um Greg BL started at 6 and then was a three then went to one you know so um you know there are guys who’ve done it like Justin Langer was a three who went

To one um Simon cage was middle Auto bat toport bat who went to one Mike Hy went the other way uh so like the thing is the and I think that matters as well the idea that you can um if you in and around the top order you can make that

Adjustment so um and I just say just just one thing I want to say about it is that this is why I’m saying it seems to me like unless McDonald is playing games which like he doesn’t really seem to do he seems to be uh softening up the public or

Conditioning the public that that is their style of thinking and also noting historically that that has often been the thinking that very much it’s the six best baddest thing um I noticed people are saying it’s going to be a real uh like a a real low to the um credibility

Of the Sheffield Shield if they don’t select a specialist opener for that position but like I think people forget that like Cameron green scored a [ __ ] ton of runs in the shield as well it’s not like he hasn’t graduated or shown his quality at

That level uh he just did it a couple of years ago and would have out battered the current competitors that at that time I just wonder if they are looking and in response to the question about um to McDonald about basically the entire Australian top the austr entire Australian batting order

Saying they don’t want to move positions McDonald said like well a lot of them will just do what’s best for the team so I just wonder if we’re looking at like one of the top order bats maybe Manus just going just open the batting because

I can’t think it would be kry I’d be surprised if it was so so you look so you’re looking there at like Marsh head or marus those CU Smith is not going to do it so I but like when I put myself in their position and I’m happy my dad’s

There and it’s and I just think about like um if I’m told that I have to open I’m moving in I’ve been moved uh in my position because they want to get camr [ __ ] I’d be upset I would be upset you know cuz like cuz all those guys have

Performed so well in those positions like if Mitch Marsh is the one that gets moved it’s like oh I’ve just come in and I’ve [ __ ] done the absolute business in this role i’ I’ve made this position my own I’ve been one of the best players

In the team if not best player on the team on occasion so it’s like and then you you [ __ ] him off basically to open now he still gets opportunities obviously but he’ll be desperate to play test matches as they all would be because it’s like well you either do

That or you’re not in the team Travis ha you know he’s been so great at number five you know play of the tournament uh play of the uh final in the world test Championship final in um play of the ashers wasn’t he when the last home

Ashes last home ashes home ases um you know Sensational um but I guess he also has done it in India open the batting in India so so it’s probably most likely him isn’t it so but like but for him I’d be like ah opening the batting in test

Cricket I’m pretty up at five mate if I’m honest like the thing with the thing with Manus doing it is probably the least amount of change directly but it’s also the impact on everybody else shuffling you know or at least who would bet three then well that’s that’s an

Interesting question as well you know like cuz cam green wouldn’t bet three don’t know I I do think that are four I think long term they want green at number I do think a lot of Australian teams like have probably shuffled the order a bit more than we like to think we like

Negotiations and preferences play out in cricket teams all the time who balls where from what end you know like it’s it’s a more common thing than um we probably see so uh yeah I I just I don’t know just I’m just following what Andrew McDonald is saying and I got to say like

I’m kind of um I was sort of excited but it’s not without risk that kind of thing like I would like to see if they can get Cam green into the team scoring runs probably not at six because that’s that’s Mitch Marsha’s position I think

He needs to be up the order um yeah particularly Having learned what he revealed the other day about his kidney about his kidney disease where it was fairly clear that the more work he does on the field the more drained he is I mean if you have Mitch Marsh on the side

Who’s actually able to Bow some helpful overs which he seems to be like more overs than we expected with his rig uh then perhaps he doesn’t have to bow as much Cam cran and he can um he can bowl a little bit impactful and and bat up

The order and do what he’s probably best at which is scoring runs but yeah the thing is yeah you move guys up the order what if it doesn’t work then you’re shuffling again are you basically setting in train a whole bunch more shuffling yeah how much pressure is

There on cam green to score runs given he’s made all these great players move positions Mitch Mar’s 32 that’s young enough he’s got another a couple years oh yeah I’ve decided yeah it’s funny isn’t it like in the context of this summer it’s like yeah but what next when

The Caribbean uh or indeed the Caribbean uh Midway through next year where that is now pushing up into Major League cricket starts straight away which is cutting into the 100 um having their own privatization conversations at the same time you look at the big bash with uh the IL 20

T22 and sa 20 and the sa 20 Jesus Christ the20 doesn’t have the T in it I like the big Bash you know like you look at look at those like three different competitions at the same time I think the almost to carve out another couple of months during the CPL let’s talk about that in partnership with Saudi Arabia for a T10 comp schedu is scheduling issue mate
