Like it it just it did make me start to feel like okay maybe they could do something in the playoffs they’re playing like this well that Nicks game because it’s a that’s a tough back toback it’s a really physical Knicks team they’re they’re a good they’re not
Some great team like it’s not goingon to feel like beating the Nuggets or anybody like that or even the Timberwolves the night before but that is a tough game to win and especially as the Knicks kind of like fought back and got back into the game and they were like Rand was killing

I and I’ve never thought that this big three could ever reach the talent of the other big three but they complement each other so much better in that one particular play where it’s the Chad block Shay gets the rebound and then passes to a trailing Jay dub who hits
The three and you’re just like whoa that felt like a moment that thing that Knicks game the score was like pretty close the whole game you know like the Nicks were hanging in there basically the whole time but when you were watching it I never felt it felt like
The Thunder were dominating that entire game the whole time you know yeah like that that next game specifically just had a different feeling about it for sure yeah it felt like they could be back in control of it when they wanted to whenever they wanted to yeah and and
I think they they kind of did do that yeah you know Shay would be like all right give me the next five possessions and would just go do something amazing yeah Shay was Unstoppable in that game he was he was so good and and it is
Crazy to say that they could reach the heights even of just like Katie and Russ because they were so good together and yet even when they were so good there were still a lot of moments where it did feel like my turn your turn yeah and I remember those plays where like
They’d get a run out and Russ would just stop and hand the ball to KD yeah and it was like oh this is great they’re working they’re working together he assisted to KD see they love each other uh with these guys like you never I’ve never once thought in my head it feels
Like my turn your turn like they work within the offense so well and that play that you just described is an example of that but that’s like the entire game like you never feel like a guy especially over these last two games isn’t getting his shots isn’t getting
His touches like the shot attempts are starting to even out or or become what we thought they were eventually going to be yeah which is that these three guys are leading the team every single night in shot at temps yeah yeah Shay with 23 Dub with 17 chat with 14 and then nobody
Else had 10 yeah I think Dort would have been next at nine Dort had nine yeah Joe had six KAS had six giddy only took four I thought giddy played 29 minutes in that game plus 11 seven six and two with two blocks he played really well in that game and has
Played well the last two games and it’s been in really diminished role and it’s been kind of working and I think that he can start to get better within that role where he’s just like a better facilitator and a better rebounder and I think that’s kind of
Going to be his place on this team if he wants to be a part of it and I think like the last part Alex you and I talked about this like it’s gonna be some of it’s going to be up to him like is this
The kind of role that you want in the NBA where you are a facilitator and a rebounder and opportunistic score and just like somebody that gives like Max effort all the time or like do you want to run the show because like he’s not running the
Show on this team Shay has become such a good passer that like there’s no question like who is the point guard there’s no question whatsoever as to who should have the ball in their hands like it needs to be Shay all the time when
He’s in the game plan a plan a back to plan A but giddy is starting to figure something out at least like this season and maybe like I think that he could do that for them I just to me you start to wonder this what he wants to do now
We’re starting to get into the realm of like the Joe Engles comparisons that we used to have tot that we immediately always dismissed his first two years but now like that is more of the type of role that he would be playing on this team yeah God if he could shoot threes
Though yeah I know I mean Joe Engles was 40% shooter so it’s it’s not a perfect comparison but just someone in that type of like contributor role yeah and he’s starting like and teams are still like hartenstein was like his Defender at times but he’s starting to move what was
Killing the Thunder when they would put their centers on him is when they he wouldn’t move on the perimeter he just stand out there and the Rockets game was the worst one it was like the it was like the example that you can turn to
And say holy smokes like this is not g to work but it’s because he just kind of stood out there on the perimeter and just waited for the ball to eventually just get back to him because that’s it was going to happen because he was wide
Open and the ball is eventually going to make its way back to Giddy and it always did and it always look so bad because then he tried to create with like this space that he had and he’s not really efficient with any of the space shooting
In any of that space But now he’s like moving around he’s like moving to the dunker spot he’s setting screens he’s making plays from the middle of the floor and teams can’t exploit him as much yeah you don’t see him turning down shots yeah like because he’s not even
Getting in the position to be able to turn them down exactly exactly they’re they’re putting him in position to succeed which is limited shots right now yeah I mean that that’s his lowest of his career passing and rebounding that next game yeah four and he made three of
Them I mean I there’s I mean the giddy situation is a little complicated but to me it’s still just like honestly doesn’t matter that much because you have the big three and they’re like establishing themselves it’s like here like they’re here and they’re here today and it’s
Wild because I mean Shay he’s an MVP candidate he’s a top five player in the league he’s been incredible but the other two are in their first year and their second year in the league and they’re like already here that’s where that’s where it does feel like that
First iteration of the Thunder where it’s like you know KD had a few years under his belt but then it was like Russ year two Harden year one you’re like okay like they’re already good yeah the the fact that you have this level of clarity this early yeah I think is
Really helpful for future team building oh yeah because they probably are always expected that or or maybe they were thinking a big four and and like we’re somehow going to Mel this perfectly four guys yeah yeah but it has started to feel like those three guys have just separated themselves established like a
Tier within this roster and for them to be doing it this early in the process I think it’s going to make every decision they make going forward so much easier yeah because it’s not just like oh we have our guy in Russ now we just got to
Figure out how to work on Russ it’s like no now we have three guys who we are like locked in on and we just have to fit around them they all play different positions they all play positions like that are coveted in the NBA and now you
Just really need to find like really good role players to fit around them and they already have some of those guys on the team already I think Dort has been amazing this year Isaiah Joe has been really good good kendri Williams is a really good role player I think Kasin
Wallace is I think Wiggins is a guy that could be around for a while like they have guys already but also they have all the picks and that’s where that’s this is where the having all the picks makes things a little bit like oh my gosh like what is
Possible and it’s not that like they can go trade for a superstar but they can actually probably trade for if they believe if they like hey this guy whoever is is like the perfect role player for us they’re in position to overpay for whoever that is and to go
Get them and if it’s on like a mediocre team they could just be like hey we’ll give you three first rounders for this guy that you guys maybe don’t think is like the future of your team or is like not exactly helping you all that much
But we believe could help us a ton and like no one else would ever give three first rounders for just like a role player but the Thunder could and overpay and it wouldn’t be that big of a deal to them when do you think they should do
That like do you think they should do that right now or uh I I’m still of like the belief that like you take this team for the most part to the playoffs and you just see how they perform because like the truth the truth is also that
Like you may have a vast majority of those guys on your squad now and you just may not know it and so like you have to get to the playoffs I think they’ll make some kind of small move well and they’re in a position to just
Watch to watch and wait the rest like to see what the rest of the league is doing too yeah see that’s the only thing that makes me hesitant about that position because that is the same position that led us to the perk trade which ended up
Being a move for the moment and not for the next five years I think if you if we get to the playoffs and we put so much into whatever like let’s say they lose in the first round they lose in like seven to some team if you take too much
Away from a matchup against one team and make a move based on that I think that can hurt you yeah but they needed perk like they needed a big badly because like playing Memphis playing San Antonio playing those teams like you couldn’t they couldn’t have gotten by and I know
People like oh just hold on with Jeff Green and serge like one of those guys has to be like a good passer for it to work like that’s why Draymond Green worked that’s why like small ball in Golden State worked because they had like a one of the best passing like big
Man forwards in the NBA I’m not I’m not convinced that like keeping Jeff Green would have worked I think they wouldn’t have like gotten past Memphis like those battles against Memphis where they went like seven games and there was like triple overtimes like over and over again perk played so much in those
Series and they really needed him to get through those series too yes but they they got a player that was such a high stature that then when they got to a point where they didn’t need them him they could not remove him like when they got to that Miami series he was so
Ingrained in like the culture of that team they could not sit him I think I think that’s a Scotty that was a Scotty thing for sure that was like a that was a Scot problem where then that I don’t think Mark would necessarily have the same problem you know what I mean yeah
That was I mean that was totally Scotty also perk was a one skill type of player yeah you know it’s like which was taking the first shot of the game which was passing the ball to Russell Westbrook at the start of the game underneath his leg
Under his legs that was his one skill that was his skill but and so you don’t they’re not going to like trade for a one skill type of player for to solve one problem you know I think if they trade for a role player there are so many players that are multi-skilled now
Yeah and now you can trade for for those guys I mean they’re all over the place that’s like what an NBA player is now you know you’re you’re not really getting time in the NBA anymore for having one skill yeah and that’s that’s so true and also we know the Thunder
Probably would not want to acquire a one skill type of player that’s what I’m saying they’re not going to trade for a guy like that yeah I mean they’ll they’ll barely consider draft ing a guy that’s just one skill you know even if it’s great like we know I think we can
Feel pretty confident like heading into this next draft like one they’re not going to draft a project like I feel pretty confident that they’re not going to draft some project player to like build up in the background like I just don’t think you have like the the
Resources to do that now so no more Pocus no more Pocus and then I and then I don’t think they’ll draft somebody who can’t shoot and like that I just don’t think they’ll draft anybody that can’t shoot which is like a relief yeah you know yeah so I mean I
Think they’re they’re in a really good position right now to be able to accomplish a lot in the future and they can overpay for guys you know at this point and get the the guy that they want and you know hopefully there’s not like some Tyson Chandler
