We haven’t played golf on camera in over a year you guys you hit 700 home Runs what’s going on everybody welcome back to another golf video today we’re in California at a royal trbo with a special edition of the match series I am with my dad again we’re playing in a 1 V one this is a rematch to the video that

We filmed almost last year it had to be almost last year or 2 years ago we filmed match over at Mission vijo Country Club where unfortunately I took the L he took the dub but today we’re coming back for some Revenge we’re at a royal trbo hole number one par 4 and he

Has honors because he won so sir take it away all righty ready to go you ready let’s do it perfect you get to that bunker I don’t think so I think I think you’re just short of the bunker nice drive good start all right I’ve had about a year of

Practice now to try to take you down in this match so let’s see let’s see if I’ve improved if I could do something today we’re going to play match play today not stroke play match play here we go great ball oh it’s coming down yeah I uh I was

Almost in the green I know I almost drove the green but it was in the just it just kicked left of the bunker so we’re in good position all right Dad it’s uh it’s good to be back with you I haven’t haven’t seen you in a while we

Haven’t played golf on camera in over a year you guys the last time we played together I think you were still playing baseball but it’s uh you’ve officially been retired now for a full season M so what what are your plans now that retirement’s you know you’re you’re

Retired and and what are your upcoming plans well definitely plan more golf which I’m doing now with you but I think you know uh just the gift that I had that God has given me to get back to the G of basball you know I’m working for

The commissioner office I did uh some playoff War series uh analysis oh yeah I saw you on the broadcast yeah so that was fun that was uh I had a great time great experience so a little bit of that and and then travel just doing little

Things that I wasn’t able to do because my tough schedule during the season sure and uh that’s it and then now I’m here in California spending time with you guys that’s awesome that’s awesome yeah if you guys haven’t been able to see my dad has been uh he’s been doing some

Broadcasting on TBS he’s been doing FOX MLB Network so he’s been he did the entire world series in playoffs I mean he’s just been a traveling man it’s been hard with our two schedules to be able to play so obviously it’s a blessing to be able to now have the time to play

Together so let’s get this match going today we’re getting a rematch in I’m super excited let’s go all right coming up to to the green some pretty impressive drives here he’s about 35 yd back there behind the bunker my ball is just on the other side of the bunker so

We’re both chipping with wedge he’s got 60° in hand let’s see what he can do oh my great touch what a shot I mean am I going to have to give you a gimme on the first hole already I mean I didn’t sign up for that I don’t know I

Don’t know what that was that’s crazy what a shot I’m just down here short left of the green I’ve got my 60° GRE in hand I’m just going to try to do the same thing get it up and down try to make birdie cuz I guarantee you he’s

Making that and uh we can’t go one down on the first hole here we Go okay not too bad I thought it was going to roll back a little bit more but I guess the greens aren’t as quick as they look but we got two birdie looks down the hill a little right to left I got to sink this uh cuz I know he’s making birdie for

Sure oh I pushed it wow it’s coming back in it in the hole let’s go come on wow nice birdie wow what a punt I I 100% off the face thought that I pushed that and it wasn’t going to turn but uh luckily the grass was slow enough to where it

Grabbed it turned it and it fell inoo all right you got this about three three-footer here for birdie yeah looks like a little bit left to right up here a little bit it’s makeable so should be should be a really easy part all right yeah very nice wow what a hot

Start for the boys a hot start for the boys on hole number one two birdies we’re all square moving on to Hole number two yeah baby good bird all right hole number two par 4 453 this one’s a little bit tricky because the bunker on the right hand

Side is in play If you hit driver there’s OB or Hazard on the left side and then I believe on the right side as well so a bit of a tight t- shot and this is one where you can either be aggressive and risky with your driver

And try to split the hazard of the bunker or you try to lay up where you just have a little bit longer of an approach shot but it looks like my dad is going with driver here I like the aggressive play yeah going driver you

Know I just nice thing e down wiang a little bit so don’t have to be overpowered just put a good swing hopefully let the wind takes it yeah big bounce that’s it it might have just crept in the bunker yeah I think so it’s okay looked

Like a good swing yeah that was nice pops pulled out driver which means I’m not laying up I’m pulling out driver as well we’re going big we got to be aggressive pedal to the metal this nine going to try to take it up the right side here we

Go that one was smoked I hit that one super hard and it was drawing perfectly like I wanted it to going from right to left and I believe I stayed in the Fairway on the left side so we’ll go check it out when we get up there but

I’m really happy with that swing all right my dad’s ball landed kind of exactly where you would want want to be if you were in this bunker you’re in this front section but you’re far enough back to where you can clear this lip he’s got 143 yards into the pin he’s

Going to hit a 9 iron try to get that one there downwind see what you can do oh you picked that so clean wow a little deep yeah I got a big kick to the back it’s okay you’re you’re probably just chipping off The Fringe or something I

Could have got away with a probably pitching way you know yeah that was that was caught really clean though yeah great jot all right you guys for my ball my ball ended up down here I’m 52 yards to the pin an absolutely unbelievable drive because of how firm the ground is

And because it was downwind I got a great kick off the hills 52 yards and I’m going to have my dad go up to the green so you guys get a green side view I’m going to hit a 60° see if I can put one close again he you hit it

Unbelievable dry 382 downwind you only have 52 yard left to the green let’s see if he can put it closer little too deep not bad not too bad you know I got thinking about shipping or driving here or potting here I’m sorry think I’m going to go with a

Potter just to be safe like that play off The Fringe as you always say put when you have the chance yeah little way downhill right to left don’t do it Go Go wow great roll I’ll take that yeah that’s good good par nice all right I’m looking at pretty

Much the same putt I got a good read off of his it’s going to go a little right to left at the end shouldn’t be too much I just got to make sure I put good Pace on it and give it a good Chance all right we got this left for par going to clean it up here all right all right Dad so after all of your years in the big leagues now you’re retired you can look back and reflect on a lot of moments that you had throughout your career successful

Moments all the moments that were hard for you all the great moments that you had throughout tell me how you felt the moment when you first got called up to the big leagues your very first year when you had that conversation how did it go what what did you feel what were

Your emotions well for me it was pretty uh emotiona and kind of shock shock her a little bit because because I had a great spring training but after only only one year in the minor league I didn’t thought that I was going to make the team out of spring training but you

Know Bobby Bona got hurt that kind of opened the doors for me you know I make the the team and remember that moment when we were in Seattle the last uh final two exision games that we went we went to Oakland in Seattle Tony told me

Call me in the office and told me they that they’re going to take me you know for a couple of weeks until Bo onia recover from from from the DL at that time it was the DL now it’s the iil and then you know the rest of History you

Know just uh an opportunity that I just took advantage as an athlete that’s an opportunity that we all look for and and we have to take advantage when those windows are open to us that’s awesome he’s been he’s literally played baseball since he was 5 years old so I mean I

Talked to him the other day the man says he’s taken over a million easily over a million baseball swings throughout his career so I mean man man’s been around the game for a while but that’s pretty cool hole number three car five 579 you still have honors my friend yeah we tied

The last two holes we’re both one under right now even in our match so go ahead we got a par five swing away this ho always give me trouble uh every time I play here new day today I don’t I don’t even going to think about it but uh part

Five like you say just be safe nice and easy dry hopefully put it down the middle and just see where it’s at and see if we can be aggress and go for once again that’s what I do I pull it left all the time sit sit sit

Sit just over there probably right in that bunker or just in the rough to the left of it you see it yeah yeah you should be safe that’s what I do I pull it left here all the time I don’t know why because I normally play a fade but I

Always pull it left here I think it’s because it’s it’s a par fighing I always try to be a little bit too aggressive yeah it’s all good though all good still good swing we’ll be able to find that one here we go driver in hand see if we

Can send another one out there two big drives for me on the first two holes see if I can keep it out of trouble that’s got to sit sit I’ll be over there on the left side in the left rough it will all depend on

How soft of a bounce I got it looked like it was pretty hard so I’ll either be just inside that Hazard or just short of it still in play all right Dad so we got the story of you getting called up to the big leagues now obviously it’s

Your RI year you’re nervous going into it of course I was there everybody’s nervous you know your first are B your first game but I think after you get your first start back can I get you first game out of the way it’s one of

Those things to say okay you know and I think you know for me I wouldn’t say it was easy but I think what made it easy for me was that the mentor and the guys that I had around that make me feel like I belong those guys were you know Jing

Ammon mark my wire Placio poano Woody William no woody William because we got woody later on on the trade R you know Mike mintini and those guys really made me feel comfortable you know and when you are comfortable in something that you love to do which is the game of baseball that’s something

That I did see I was 5 years old it was fun you know it was fun so I enjoyed it and I think you know a lot of credit I need to give it to the coaches too manager Tony larusa the Tony larusa is almost like my second dad yeah Jose Endo

Who’s probably one of the best third base coach and intertractor that I ever been around Dave McKay amazing amazing coaching staff that helped me out to have the success that I had you know a lot of people think that us baseball player athletes we do it by ourselves no

We have a lot of support a lot of people you know family and and coaches that help help you out to have the success uh that you need to have that’s awesome well I stay in play got about 287 to the green down way two way to play either I

Can hit a three W and go four which down way I think I might be close to get there or I can play safe you know and he like a 6 iron or five iron and just have a about 50 yard left to the green B

Since so we playing MCH play this is not having fun this is real MCH play I think I’m going to lay lay up with the fire and let him go for smart cuz you know I will you know I will I got to take advantage of those opportunities

Especially when I when I’m up there a little bit good miss you know stay short of that bunker down yeah perfect there it is rolling out yeah it’s a good angle for the green too yeah probably about 1 15 to the green a smart play all right let’s talk

About cutting it close real quick we’ve got about just about one or two of AJ’s feet from being in the hazard so we got safe here I have 230 yard to the green and I’m barely going to have a stance I don’t have a stance here so I’m going to

Have to just chok down on this 4 hour I am just going to end up laying up and punching out over there I’m so glad the ground is firm and that that thing will run for a while I hit that so bad I hit that so bad that it’s so

Good oh I love the game of golf all right same same but different position for my dad and I we’re both about 109 yards he has a way better angle at the Green than I do he takes the bunker out of play I might have it

In play just a little bit for me well I think I got just like I say 110 yards so probably going to hit a little we 58 down WI a little bit just the middle of the green and just hopefully it trickles out there next to the

Flag just kind of checked up on you a little bit too much sauce yeah not good all the green hunting for birdie so good all right we got 102 yards like he said it’s it’s downwind I’m going to Club down and take 60° here full swing 60 it

Was a good bad Miss by me so let’s see let’s see if we can pull one close oh I caught it too chunky that’s going to be short a bad mistake on my part just a bad swing not my typical wedge swing that I had I think I was just

Trying to get a little bit too much out of it which is my tendency on the golf course that’s why I kind of make mistakes like that where I I hit it really chunky but it’s all good I should be able to get that up and down

Hopefully save par cuz uh my dad’s still a little bit of a ways for birdie and if he makes par I got to make sure I make par to stay all square all right we’re still quite a ways from the pin I’m going to have to chip this one try to

Get it to land somewhere soft back there maybe have some spin so 60° is going to be what we use we’re going to try to get it close I was trying to go a little bit more left but I pushed it it’s okay though I’m going to have about a 10 15

Footer for par that I will have to make because my dad is probably going to tput this and make par as well well I kind of learned a little bit from your ball you know it’s left to ride so this p is going to be left to ride maybe a little

Quick so let’s see if I can make a T nice roll I’ll take that yep that’s going to be good again for par which means that I have to make mine or I’m going to go one down here after a whole three nice there say right here he’s going to have to make this PT to not lose the hole

Oh oh it slowed down left a little Shore that last foot it just stopped on a dime I thought for a second I was like okay this has pretty good pace and then I realized the last foot of the putt was all up the hill and I didn’t hit it hard

Enough unfortunately but ladies and gentlemen here we go AP is one up all right Dad so the next question that I have for you obviously you were on the road trip where you were in Colorado you went to Arizona where you hit your first career home run right was in Arizona

Wrapping up the road trip then you went back to Bush Stadium walked me through your very first at babush Stadium your first home game in the big leagues 45,000 fans in the old St Louis walk me through that experience that you had tell me about that just a great feeling

You know I think for me six gang into my belt already uh going to St Louis I was looking forward to I mean the traditional opening day St Louis probably one of the best me for a player experience for the fans I was nervous a little bit but I was also excited and

Looking forward to my first sbat I believe uh hit a home run also so that was even better that’s a good way to top off your first step B at home especially in front of the crowd of St Lewis some of the best fans of baseball I mean you

Got about 45 47,000 fans you know just looking forward for opening date and it’s just uh even give me Shield just to take think about it and talk about that yeah that’s awesome we got 217 playing 207 downwind so I think I can muscle up

A six iron it should get there so let’s see oh no that should come down oh boy oh car path oh might be able to find that but I might have to hit a proval it went over there on the right side yes okay I’m

Going to go with the six iron here my dad actually accidentally hit a five not his six but I am going to go with a six I think with the downwind oh I hit it bad that might be gone all right well those were two uh two poorly executed t- shots from the

Both of us he went right I went left and I think I might be gone I might have to drop it looks like it’s a hazard over there and I think he might have to drop as well so we’ll see we’ll see but uh not the best shots from your boys here

Unfortunately we are both going to have to take a drop in the drop area which is not ideal but it all comes down to short game and could potentially get one back here if he doesn’t put one close and I do or vice versa if he puts one close

And I don’t he could go up potentially so he has a really good short game so I have a lot of I have a lot of pressure on myself already so let’s see let’s see what we can do CL us to the paint we hit

It bad t- shot so he try to get it open down and just get it bogy here I play that hill but hit it too far I’m in trouble all right I saw the play that he was trying to do I I I respect

It I’m going to take a little bit of a different approach to this one I’m going to try to play this board directly towards the flag just try to put it anywhere close all right we’re just on The Fringe we have a putt at it I mean I’m still about

Probably 10 15 ft from it um but I like my chances to make mine we’ll see what can happen anything can happen my dad could chip in I could ho out let’s see see I like to play with the putter strategy I like the putter strategy a

Lot it just obviously he hit it a little bit too far I have a chance here you guys to get one back on the match why did that break I don’t know if that’s a gimme either that’s a little far all right now if he misses this putt

I win the hole we’ll be all square in our match just pushed it a little bit with that putt there we’re all square a pretty uh pretty poorly played hole I’d say by the both of us but it’s okay I mean I W I still walked away with the

Wind on that hole so now we’re all square moving in to the next one let’s get it all right Dad as we take this journey throughout your career obviously you attended the World Series in ‘ 04 that was versus Boston and then in 2005 you won your

First MVP correct and and then in ‘ 06 you attended the World Series again with a bit of a better outcome I’d say than than the World Series in 04 but talk me about that your first ever Championship World Series that’s what you play for you know getting beat in 2004 wasn’t

Really fun for us but you run into a Boston Rex ball club that were really hot they and they you know they beat the Jane after being down you know 3-1 they won three in a row and then there comes the Cardinals and they rang over us too

And we had a great ball Club in 2005 a lot of great veteran leaders uh and we had a great year that year but you know that was tough but then we were back two years later in 2006 against Detroit Tigers and we were able to execute and

WI a war series and five in St Louis so it’s one of those things you know that you play for that’s what you play for for the war series and when you have that opportunity to win that trophy man it’s like taking 500 lb out of you back

You know that you caring all year long like the weight of the world’s on your shoulders yeah and it’s a great great emotional moment excited not just for Oz as a player but also for the fans that come and support us every day and also the 2011 World Series which I know that

One meant a lot not only to you but the players on your ball Club a lot of Veteran guys that you had on the 2011 Squad who were retiring you know after that year so I’m sure that one also I mean just as much as the first one meant

A lot to you yeah just as much I mean I think 2011 I was able to enjoy it a little bit too but I think like you say having some of the veteran guys you know probably in their last year guys that never had an opportunity to to be in a

Playoff or to even playing in the war series and you know like Rafael F car arur Rose uh otavio doel you know and so many other the young guys that we call up es skip schumacker Daniel de Caro you know those guys that were really key for

Us to have that success in 2011 and winning that war Series so I was able to kind of stay back a little bit and enjoy and embrace a little bit more than what I did in 2006 congratulations on both of those cuz I know as as anyone know in in their you

Know professional life from a young athlete all the way to a professional you know ml in the MLB or in the NBA you play for those moments as a kid you practice in the backyard hundreds and hundreds of times bottom of the nth Bas is loaded two out situations winning the

World Series so I know how much as a as an athlete for myself that would mean to him and those guys that he played with so it’s awesome here we go next toll 438 yard par 4 I have honors on this one we’re going to try to stay away from

That bunker on the right side and away from the hazard on the left we’re taking driver downwind at our back we’re just going to rip at it and try to send one all right perfect drive out there in the Fairway as you guys know I’m very short

I don’t think that ball got above my head the entire way that that was flying down the Fairway I’ve heard the saying that the less time the ball is in the air the less time it has to to make a mistake so on that one that’s what I

Wanted to do keep the ball low keep it from being touched by the wind and potentially being in a bad spot for me S Drive try to get a good drive downwind so which would really lucky today some of the toughest H and this golf course

And we’re playing uh D went so we’re really lucky on now that’s a good one you come down yeah perfect and it stayed short of the bunker too perfect right in the Fairway good ball thank you 197 put 145 down weigh a little bit thinking about just

Punching and N iron just try to keep it low so that way the wing won’t take it this looks good yep just there on the front there’s a it’s a three- tiered green you guys and that pin is on that second tier so where he is is honestly the best place

To miss you don’t want to miss longer than that pin because if you do and you hit the ball past the pin on your putt you’re going to have longer coming back towards the pin than you would on your initial putt all right I’ve got 127 to

This pin location I’m going to try to hit a pitching W get it up in the air land it a little bit long of the pin where there’s a slope have it come back to land on that same tier these greens are so firm I can’t

Tell firm and fast I can’t tell if that spun back towards the hole if it went past the hole where it ended up on the green but all in all I’m really happy with that swing all right walking up to the green this is where my ball ended up

Here’s the pin so I went a little bit longer than I would have liked my dad is just down here on the lower Ridge which we’re about equal distance apart I might be a little bit further than he is but I’ll have him go first he has a putt up

The hill for birdie let’s see what he can do well in this hole right where the pen is this is where you want to miss you know below the hole putting uphill I don’t think I ever seen the pen in that that’s almost yeah I’ve never seen that

Before almost an illegal pin yeah a little bit right to L up here it’s makeable I think after the last hole we need to make a birdie here so yes let’s go get it wow it’s a little short it’s all right I’ll take it yep I’ll give it to you

Again this guy is automatic with his two putts right now very nice I’ll take that part good part good for like he say he’s going to be a little bit tough he don’t want to be past this wholeway because he might go off the green behind me sit sit

Oo he was nice to give me m but I think I’m going to make him put that one really wow this guy is this guy is unreal yes that’s fair I am a little bit outside of where you were of course nice than oh I love this putter

So much I’ve been rolling The Rock end over end with this thing since I’ve gotten it and I just love the way that it feels right now my short putts I I feel so confident being able to stand over my short putts right now all right all square through number five this

Match is starting to heat up it’s getting intense and I have a feeling it’s going to come down to the wire again all right y’all moving on to Hole number six 295 yd par 4 up the hill this is one where you can be aggressive hit

Driver try to carry it to the green if you miss a little bit right over here there’s some room I am going to take the safe route and play with my irons I have four and five right now it’s only about a 25 yard shot up the hill for a layup so

I’m going to try to do that my dad has brought out the big dog and he’s going to try to hit driver up there on the green going aggressive this aggressive play but I have a good feeling about this one yep H driver here we go driver in Hand oh my goodness you smoked it what a play I told you I had a good feeling what a play that’s in the green that is that is wow all around great golf shop now that’s making me kind of rethink what I want to do but I think I need to

Stay Within Myself here and I need to HD an iron because I know that my Miss with my driver would probably be worse than my Miss with an iron all right we’re going to go with the five iron just a nice little same idea as the last Drive

Where I just kind of punched it out there keep it low let it run get to the top of the hill be able to have a wedge R I didn’t see any big bounces but I caught that really well and if I pulled it too hard left it could have potentially crossed the car path and gone in the hazard we’ll see when we get up there but I really hope it landed soft enough well I went for the

Green I’m a little sure but there’s the flag AJ decided to lay up he got about 100 yard to the flag see how close he can put it on and he pull a left what an absolute beauty of a drive from the man I mean

Just on the front of the Green from way back there in the tea boxes great drive thank you bud what’s your approach here was thinking about chipping but I have plenty of room you know I think I’m going to go with a Potter uphill right

To left I think uh it’s going to be the easiest thing to do I’m going to have to kill this this P because got probably about 50 yard worth of green I might be good go in wow that’s really good I take that great touch I don’t think I could have

Done any better with the wedge great touch thank you so AJ got lucky enough he pulled left a little bit stay in bounds so he’s going to have to get this up and down cuz I definitely going to make that birdie hopefully yeah he’s uh he’s got a great look for birdie he’s

For sure walking out of here with the par so I got to do my best to try to at least get par here sit sit sit I was nervous on how that putt was going or how that chip was going to come out because underneath it felt like sand and looked like sand

But I just I wanted to make sure I got it to the green got it on the green but we have a lengthy putt for par he’s got birdie is for sure going to two put par this and I could potentially go back to

One down if I miss and he makes he just putting hold par here downhill slider Rider ladder see if we can make it left to show again that’s frustrating great course management in terms of what clubs to hit but poor execution on my end that’s a bogey for me he’s pretty

Much got this whole wrapped up already he’s going to putt his for birdie if he doesn’t make birdie he’s for sure making par so he’ll go back to one up on the match what a birdie thank you great putt all right great putt there by AP I’m

Back to one down now through six not not exactly how I thought the hole was going to go I thought I’d maybe be able to make a par you know obviously I I hit a okay t- shot I was fine I was still in play but a poor wedge shot on the approach

Set me up for that moving on to Hole number seven let’s keep rolling all righty on to the next we got a par five 540 y this is probably one of my favorite t- shots here at a Royo I just love the way that it looks so open I can

Aim down the center right over this way swing freely let the ball be able to go left or right Pop’s got honors again he’s back to one up try hit good dry just like I I did last hole put it in the farway and hopefully go for the green M that’s hammered

Perfect very nice drive all right same idea here driver in hand nice and smooth swing ball high and Let It Fly uhoh it’s getting another ball he hit it OB so he’s going to R provisional so that one I heard it hit some rocks

Over there I’m not sure if it got a kick forward so I’m going to hit a provisional just in case hopefully it doesn’t go in the same spot or else I might be in some trouble so we’re going to have more left I just pushed it out

Right and wasn’t able to carry that the thick stuff so we’re going to try it again that’s what I wanted the first time that one was smoked all right pops so I know you’re not the type of guy that thinks about numbers breaking records getting accomplishments you you you purely play

The game of baseball for the joy that you have in the game but I know that there’s one award that you have received probably many but I know one specific award that you’ve received throughout your career that means a lot to you and that’s the Roberto Clemente award that

You wanted so tell me why and how much that award means to you well first of all I mean it means a lot to me because the name they is carrying you know Roberto Clemente was like the Jackie Robinson to the africanamerican the B roof to the American guy to us Roberto

Clement was that he was the guy the lead by a sample not just in the field but off the field tragic key he die you know on the airplane helping people down in Nicaragua and for me I think we have a responsibility we got with our family with our community and that’s something

That when I won that I wore I still have it in my trophy room like right as soon as you walk in that’s that’s something that I look every day and thank Roberto Clemente for open the doors for us Latin Latin players and I think uh if I had

Ever an opportunity you know to to say something to Roberto it would have be like why why the he did everything that he did in the filing of the film helping and I think I can answer that question myself because it was part of our responsibility so that War means a lot

To me and I’m honor proud of winning uh like like like I said before I share that Award with so many people you know they Works through the foundation and people uh they help back into the wian Republic it’s awesome thanks all right two uh 2:45 to the green part five

Wing in her face probably playing two 260 you know all you have to do is probably just hit 245 just carry that bunker and it should trickle out there to the green so I’m going to try hit a a fivewood prob okay I like that fivewood

Has become a a very helpful utility wood in your bag wouldn’t you say I love it I took my three iring out I put my five wood in yeah I love the way that you hit that one thank you hopefully we can hit a good one here

You didn’t see it you’re going just towards that bunker on the right side I think you just bounced Into the Bunker Into the Bunker M I hit it good just push it a little way I can get it up and down from there yeah great swing

I’ll take it all right you guys well that was very unfortunate that I couldn’t find my first one however I did R and I’m lying three hitting four here my my only case right now is that I get this up and down for par from 200 yard s

And he somehow makes five to tie so I got four iron in hand just going to try to hit a beautiful little cut in there try to get it to try to get it to sit nice see if we can make a par I mean that was the best swing I

Could ever put on a four iron I think it’s just on the front or is it a little long I can’t tell I don’t know but that was literally like the most beautiful golf swing I’ve ever had in my life all right my ball ended up

Just being long in the pin again that was a great four iron shot that I had just a little too deep I thought into the wind it was going to be perfect we’re on the green and Pops is just down here short of the bunker I thought he

Made it to the bunker but I think Into The Wind that five wood just kind of got caught up there so he’s got about a 45 50 yard chip up the hill let’s see what he can do this is going to be his third shot all right we got this long putt it’s

Breaking both ways I think at the beginning it’s going to go a little right to left at the end left to right let’s see if I can make it I need to if I make this put some pressure on him to have a two putt from where he is and to

Keep myself one down going into the last two oh I didn’t hit it I don’t think I did but I hit it the wrong way oh no I’m actually really happy with the way that I rolled that one I just misread that one but the pace was good

It was end over end I’m parting for birdie right here up peill a little bit kind of left to right make a pot closer down this is to go two up on me with two to play wow wow what a putt obviously that is good that

Is a par I will pick mine up cuz that is for bogey I am two down now with two to play I can no longer win the match I could only tie if I beat him the next two that t-shot just kind of cost me there it’s unfortunate that that happened but it’s

Okay it’s the game of golf things happen when you’re not expecting to Sometimes good sometimes bad in that situation it was bad but hey Big Fellas to up on me we’re having a great time out here I hope you guys are enjoying this video so far let’s see how we finish all right

Guys moving on to Hole number eight Par 3 it’s playing about 1995 yards into the wind my dad’s two up right now with two to play he’s going to lead us off cuz he’s got honors I think I’m going to hit a six iron going to try

To hit a low six iron in theato hopeful let’s see little short yeah just Shor of the green yeah but it’s playable all good this don’t know the hole that give me a lot of trouble too yeah this one into the wind is really brutal yeah five iron in hand I’m

Going to go with five take a little bit more Club into this wind try to flight it down if I hit the green obviously have a better chance at making birdie and could potentially win the hole so we’ll see what happens we’re just going to see the ball hit the ball and

Whatever happens after that happens Grace wi it’s right at it just a little to the right we’re on we’re on the dance floor and the music’s playing I’m really happy with the last two iron shots long iron shots that I had the one on the par five and

This one I think I found something that hopefully works for me in the future but we got a putt for birdie I needed to go in and I need him to not make birdie so that way I can get one back well a little sh I probably got about 25 yards

To the green need to go ahead and open down and close this match the door is cracked the door is cracked you’re still away know what I wanted to do we got like 25 fet forart but it’s makeable ni good speed just a little bit too far

Left on his line well he’s in for bogey which means that I just need a two putt to get this match back to one down here oh it went up the hill that’s interesting right three all right thank you par there keeps me going in the

Match although I am down one going into hole number n I can no longer win the match I still have a chance to to tie it up Pops made a four there I got a three moving on to Hole number nine final hole of this match all right pops you’ve had

A lot of milestones in your career obviously you’ve had over 700 home runs in your career over 3,000 hits I do want to point out you hit number 400 and 500 in Washington right yeah are you like the only person to ever hit it in the

Same place like that do you know can’t Google but you have to Google that one I don’t know yeah I know I know he said I’m pretty I’m pretty sure probably yeah and then number 600 was a grand slam yeah I remember you doing that one cuz I

Was in Colorado at the time in a golf tournament and I remember looking at my phone right before I went to bed it said Albert pools hits a grand I knew he was at 599 home runs and right before I went to bed I looked at my phone and a

Notification from MLB popped up that said Albert pools hits a grand slam to take the lead over the twins Urban Santana I just remember I think it was like literally one of the craziest moments like right before I went to bed I remember seeing that and I talked to

Him after the game just to congratulate him in that moment obviously you hit you hit 700 home runs on your final year of your career with the Cardinals at Dodger Stadium where you spent the the later half of your career you know with after your half the season with the angels

Talk to me about hit number 3000 what that meant to you how special that one was and then obviously 700 as well yeah I mean 3,000 is a really special Club you know when you look at about 23 24,000 players have gone through the through the major league and

To be able to be one of those guys you know the hit 3000 is a pretty special Club you know that’s a lot of hits that means that you had to play for a long time which I did a lot of injuries but you know I was blessed enough to play

Enough long enough to be able to accomplish that I think you know having the family at the gang and just celebrating with friends they follow me to Seattle and to be able to do it you know also come up with the win too because that’s that’s the most important

Thing you know be able to win the game too I wanted to do it so bad here front of the fence in Anaheim but I think God had another plan and I end up hitting it then I after in Seattle it was really really special moment those are uh some

Of the moments you know that you go and look back and 10 years 20 years 30 years from now and you’re going to see highlights about that and uh it was really special that’s awesome all right you guys on to the final hole hole number nine par 4 407 dog leg right up

The hill my goal is to just kind of put it in between these two bunkers up here there’s one on this right side one on the left I know I could reach the one on the left so I got to be sure that I stay

Away from that one and it feels like the wind is down so I might be able to get it past that one on the right we’ll see we both have driver in hand so we got to make sure that we put put a good swing

On this one to stay in play and stay within the match cut or go in sit sit uh I think we might have reached that bunker on the left I saw it bounce before I think it did bounce in unfortunately so we might have a long

Bunker shot into this green but I was not trying to flirt with the right side of the Fairway whatsoever because that is Hazard it’s basically Death Valley over there I can at least hit it from out of the bunker driving in last hole try to close you up here need to make a

Really good swing and keep this ball in play be okay he’s soft I think you just trickled into the right stuff yeah but you’re I saw where you went in so we’ll find it onto the Milestone that you hit in the final year of your career number 700 back in Dodger

Stadium with your with your original team St Louis Cardinals how did that one feel rounding the bases I mean I know I know that that one was a Monumental home run in your career and it’s hard in that moment to think about something when you rounded the bases cuz I mean doing it

703 times in your career there’s probably not a lot going on cuz you got to remember to stay in the game you know it’s a home run doesn’t mean you win so walk me through maybe after the time after you hit the Home Run and how that

Sat with you no I mean it’s really special I mean as I was getting close to 700 there was a lot of test message a lot of calls a lot of like pressure you know because I wanted to do it so bad not just for myself and my family and my

Teammates but for my country the Dominican Republic you know and the Baseball fans here in the United States that were following my career and that had supported my career over the last 22 years so for me you know to be able to accomplish that and do it with the

Cardinal uniform my last year at doer Stadium which where I spent five and a half month it was really special I mean it was just an unbelievable moment running the bases I was just so thankful you know just thanking God for uh allowing me to reach that milestone in

Front of my family and fans and just just thinking about running the bases you know about people back in the Dominican Republic what are they do what were they doing at that moment you know jumping open down and celebrating you know with me so I had a really special

Moment with one of my little brother Jan Molina you know the whole reason I went back to play with the Cardinals uh it was because it was the last year and IAM went right used to finish our career in St Louis we both to in was really

Special for me I think there was a moment which I Shar that picture I think earli of the year with the MLB Network when I was working went down the Tony and down the tunnel I’m sorry and I just broke down man just emotionally just a

Lot of things going through my head I think we say early in this video you know when you win that war series kind of taking that weight off you that was a wave that I was carrying for the last two months of the season because I was

Getting so close to the 700 and I wanted to do a really really really bad I think that was the first time in my career that I really put a lot of thought into it cuz I was so close you know I wasn’t thinking about when I was in spring

Training because I was like 2100s away I didn’t know if I was going to get the opportunity of playing and to be able to accomplish that but I think you know when OE marmo gave me the the go the green light like and play almost every day I was able to

To put some good or bads and I just got hot at the right time and it was just uh one of those moment that I still a year and a half after I go back and I look at it and I’m like man it’s it’s just

Amazing you know it’s uh that’s a moment right there that I’m going to be sharing with your kids and grandkids yeah I will say there have been a lot of times in my career whether it’s a milestone or just a moment where I got emotional of you

Round the bases I think one of the first times I really got emotional from you hitting a home run was when your first year back with the angels after being gone for what was it 8 years before you went back one of the last games with the

Angels in St Louis you you hit a home run your first time back and since you had played there I got emotional and then obviously the 700 home run Milestone I got emotional watching you around the bases just because I know how how relieved you probably felt um and

Just how proud how proud you should be of yourself in that moment being able to accomplish something such a great feat like that so yeah I mean from you know from the very beginning you’ve obviously been been blessed with a gift to do what you’ve done for as long as you’ve been

Able to do it and uh yeah it’s just been amazing growing up to see you at the end of your career and realize the things that you’ve done and have people come up to me and tell me about the type of person who you are not only on the field

But off the field is is really special so thank you props to you for taking care of me and my my siblings for the last 23 24 27 years so let’s finish this match and see if I can tie and and beat you on this whole entire I’m not in a

Good spot but uh you know I think I need to get this uh on the green and two PA hopefully and put the pressure on you to make a birdie maybe we can push this to one more hole but uhbe playoff yeah but I think I’m I’m going to try to close it

Up just is like I always close it up when I have a pressure situations so he knows how he knows how quickly I can fall under pressure but I’m going to try my best right now not to let that happen definitely not a good life not where you

Want it to be but at least I have a swing to probably put it in the green so got 140 weighing in the face probably playing about 155 going to try punch a aring out there just to be safe cuz I don’t want leave a

Shore cuz if I leave a Shore then I’m going to have it really tough up and down so yeah the wind’s in the wind might be down now yeah kind of change on us yeah oh boy see trust is I think I’m going to hit a AR and just punch it all

Right right at it going right at it what a shot what a shot I think you might be a little bit longer the pin cuz that was coming in hot but man what a shot out of that stuff I’ll take it what a shot from that AJ hit a great dive

Unfortunately you know he went in the bunker not a tough bunker shot I think he got this 127 127 she going to try to put a good swing on it yep I mean it’s got to get up and down for bird here I mean what a amazing shot he hit in there

So I got to do my best to one up him that’s going to be short oh I should have taking more Glove dang this is might be getting over guys still chip it in I can get up and down anything is possible anything’s possible I have seen you ship it in before I mean that’s why they call him the machine I’m know a machine okay I’m just

You guys this is unreal I can’t believe that from where he was to be able to put it there out of the wood chips not an easy Chip Shot full shot that’s wild I am down here at the bottom of the hill I’ve got a 60° going to try to chip it

In I have to I have to go for the make he’s about 10 ft 15 ft for birdie and he’s going to for sure make par if he doesn’t make his birdie putt so got to go for the make got to go for the slam dunk playoff time bottom of the ninth two

Outs here we go the shore I was in between like a bump and run or just try to fly it all the way there if it didn’t hit that Hill I bet it had a pretty good chance at rolling out all the way towards the pen but

Unfortunately I am over I mean unless he were to three- putt but he’s not three putting that so right to left a little bit uphill really me a PO need to sink this to finish with the birdie oh you just had to be mean and

Make a part didn’t you oh man oh I wanted to make a birdie there I just pull it a little bit oh I would have felt a lot better about myself if I lost to a birdie but hey that’s still one heck of a par even after hitting your

Shot into the wood chips I know what a shot all right buddy great match up once again match 2 and0 ap5 is up all right you guys what a match with my dad that’s the second match that we’ve done on the channel and unfortunately I’m down 0

And2 he is up 2 and 0 what what a great closeout too I mean obviously he’s been in that position before bottom of the ninth he’s got uh he’s got a lot of walk-off home runs in his career so he’s used to used to that position and just

Clos me out there on hole number nine but guys I hope you really enjoyed this match with my dad and I getting together out here in California again at a Royo Trabuco shout out to my dad for making it out on the channel thanks for being out here opportunity great time you know

Anytime you have an opportunity to play with my boy it’s an honor I think I’m so proud of him such a great little boy uh not a little boy anymore you know he’s about to be 23 years old but I’m so proud or everything that he has

Accomplished in his early life and it’s just great you know that he’s able to do YouTube channel you know for the fans I mean he has that passion and that love and I’m just excited that we got to come up here and do a matchup so until next

Time ap5 is too up on AP Junr hey there he is the machine what are you talking about that’s what they call you right machine not a machine not a machine the machine right guys I’m not a machine okay I’m just Albert whatever all right not a machine why didn’t you eliminate them Albert shut up

  8. man i remember being super young, barely in elementary school, and seeing albert for the first time. i grew up a huge cardinals fan, and watching his rise to stardom motivated me to be not only the best athlete i could be, but the best man i could be. he's truly a shining example of what humans are capable of – both on the field and off it. my dad passed away a few years ago, and at his funeral one of his slowpitch softball teammates said he was the albert pujols of their team. that made me incredibly proud. just subbed to the channel AJ, looking forward to more content
