  1. I think best ko is as simple as that so, Emmett has the best life changing ko. Bryce Mitchell, if guy doesn’t know is a leftist soy boy now.

  2. Francis without a doubt was the biggest winner in many eyes, he won most off the boxing criteria. BC said it him self Fury lost on all areas except volume, he barely threw more punches which should not negate everything else Francis did, control the ring, harder but fewer punches, he also dropped Fury twice which no one talking about, that was not a slip + intentional elbow. Gassed him out going to the body. BC never explained why Fury won in detail, you only referred to your boxing expertise lol. BC said the right man won when it literally could have gone either way according to the judges.

All this in his debut, you looked embarrassed for boxing that night, when you instead should realise how good and fast learner Francis is. Starting to understand why people don't like BC you're not honest, two faced and don't like to admit often when you're wrong, can't trust people like that.

  3. Luke gives mma performance of the year to izzy?! You mean the guy that was getting his ass beat until ue landed a comeback KO?

Did you gorget about the thorough routing that he got at the hands of Sean Strickland his next fight? In my opinion a much better and obvious contender for performance of the year than isreal adesanya.

Luke is blinded by his love for izzy and it shows in this episode.

  4. What I loved about Islam vs Volk 1 the best is the look Volk gave when he realized he could compete. Maybe he was intimidated and was fearing being taken down. Once he felt Islam and was saying “he’s not that strong”, he had the look of hope in his eyes like “I can do this”. Then he gave it all, and it was so inspirational to see the smaller guy putting up a damn good fight. Watching live I thought Volk one, watching back 4-1 Islam is correct. The emotions got to me, but I was incorrect. I’ve noticed in close fights, people think the person they picked to win gets the win. We’re biased creatures!

  5. Your Performance of the Night is Izzy getting smoked in the first, looking like he was on his way to getting destroyed, and then getting insanely lucky? Bro really got the D way up there.

  6. Couple corrections need to be issued here… side note I need to finish the ep so maybe they corrected it at the end.

First of all Robeisey Ramirez is Cuban, not Puerto Rican. He won a gold at the Olympics… the fight was in Miami, so it was supposed to be a homecoming routine title defense/tune up for him, given all the Cubans there. He was the WBO champ at featherweight (126), which is obviously now Espinosa. “6’1” heavyweight” was used to describe Espinosa which was a slip of the tongue, but given he’s 6’1” non boxing fans prob didn’t think twice and were thinking this was a HW fight.

Also it’s all but confirmed that Inoue’s next fight will be his WBC mandatory, Luis Nery, not MJ yet. Nery and Inoue were supposed to fight at bantamweight, but Nery failed a few drug tests and got banned from Japan. He talked a lot of shit and there’s bad blood there, so this is a fight Inoue has apparently wanted.

Finally I think it’s a little misleading the way the inoue Tapales fight is covered here. Tapales, a unified and two division champion, overperformed in the sense that he maybe won one round or two. One score card had it a shutout, the other two had Tapales winning one and two rounds respectively. It wasn’t remotely close and inoue actually looked big. No one is doubting that he will eventually end up at featherweight, he’ll just have 3 or so more fights at 122 first.

  7. luke not even considering loopy for 4 wins in a year is wild. i expected that kinda low iq from BC, not Luke

  8. Luke mentioning the Font KO over Adrian Primarily to have an opportunity to pronounce “YanYez”…. is just pure MK culture 🤘🏻

  9. Weird picks from the MK team. Looks like they were picking a lot of unknown cards, fights and random fighters…

  10. I don't really get on board with the Izzy win being performance of the year. KO of the year, yes, but performance signifies sustained dominance.

Izzy was kinda getting beat up and then caught Alex with a beautiful combo. Strickland, on the other hand, showed us 25 minutes of dominance. That's POTY for me.

  11. As a New York native speaking to your sweater LT, the Brooklyn nets really still have no footprint in New York, culturally it’ll always be the Knicks

  12. Dont agree with pantoja being fight of the year. Seems to be more about lukes issues with his dad

  13. Leave the boxing talk to the end next year, no one cares about it. You bored me to death…

  14. 0 title defenses against a top contender in his OWN weight class. BC you're a boxing guy so you damn well know just 5 lbs matter yet 10lbs and ZERO TRAINING CAMP.

  15. Magsayo winning KO of the Year is some hipster shit fellas lmao especially right after Luke explained that the reasoning behind giving Izzy the KO of the Year award on the MMA side of things, was because it was the most meaningful.

If that’s a metric to measure a knockout by, four people saw the Magsayo KO over Avelar lol like there was much more impressive, impactful, and “meaningful” KO’s in boxing this year than that one.

  16. In the end not a bad year as far as ufc events eh? Funny that Luke loves to shit on the fight nights when it is clear they are trying to stack up the ppvs

  17. The weird part is their was zero talk of lackluster from the Jones vs Gane performance at 285 at the time , only monstrous praise of Jones’s greatness from all media sources yours included. It was only several months later that this narrative came into play that Ganes subpar defense lessened the performance of Jon.

  18. Can someone explain to me how size doesn’t matter when it comes to Volk vs Islam? Islam could never make 145. Size matters more and more in the lower weight classes too. Islam did fight a blown up featherweight. Yes the best most skilled featherweight BUT a featherweight non the less. Size clearly matters. That’s why they have weight classes and why they have rules about missing weight.

  19. It's hilarious how many people are in the comments making a case for fighters to win certain awards by including feats from 2022. MMA fans truly are a special kind of daft
